The best. Can I give 6 stars? This was the best sugaring experience I’ve had in the past 2 years in Portland. I’ve also been to two other studios in Portland, but Brown Sugar is the best. Zaria is quick, thorough, and has excellent conversation to help put you at ease. I’m so impressed.

This was my first sugaring experience and Zaria, the owner, put me at ease immediately. I got a Brazilian and she was patient with me, explaining every step of the process but also efficient. Her space was tidy, she was friendly and professional. I never thought it was possible to enjoy this type of appointment but I did at Brown Sugar. Whether its your first or fiftieth time getting sugared, book your appointment here! I also appreciated the fact that this is a Black-owned business.

Zaria is AMAZING! Shes phenomenal at her job - Ive been going to her for about a year I think, and while she was in the process of getting Brown Sugar PDX up and running, I went to someone else. And it was...fine. But there was no question Id go back to Zaria. I went today and YUP. She is just so damn good at sugaring. But on top of that, she is such a nice, genuine person. It makes me look forward to my appointments! Let me say that again so it really sinks in....it makes me look forward.to getting.my hair. pulled out.with sticky sugar! If thats not the highest endorsement, I dont know what is. Putting someone at ease while sugaring them, especially in some, uh lets call them, more sensitive places - thats a rare skill. I recommend her to anyone needing sugaring services. Go to her, you wont regret it.

Yesterday I got my brows, upper lip and full Brazilian done by Zaria. I also tried out a new service, a hydrojelly mask after my Brazilian. I have NEVER had softer skin and highly suggest getting a hydrojelly mask after your wax. Its a game changer! Through Zarias attention to detail and sweet, yet extremely professional demeanor her clients are able to enjoy a personalized and positive experience every time. Zaria is highly skilled at what she does and she is very professional. Her business space is very welcoming and vibrant. She has been sugaring my brows for several years now and she has truly worked a miracle! I have been going to Zaria for my brows for almost 2 years now and there is no going back - I mean it when I say I love this woman! Sugaring has been an absolute game changer for my skin and Zaria has truly has mastered my dream brow shade/shape and then some. Every time I go in she really takes her time to ensure everything is perfect. I heard great things from IG about Brown Sugar Studios in PDX. I expected a great service but I received so much more. Zaria was so welcoming and sweet she made me feel so comfortable! Her Sugaring Studio was beyond clean and elegant simply put the VIBES/ ENERGY was great! I had canceled a couple of services off my appointment but when I walked in I wanted to add them back, although I am sure this is not her policy she did her best to add them back on for me! Now here’s the thing I haven’t been sugared since prior to Covid and if you frequent getting any type of hair removal service you have to build your tolerance for it! Zaria was patient with me, thorough, and SUPER FAST! I think we did a full body of over grown hair removal in about an hour in a half. I left her studio feeling clean, smooth, and excited about my next appointment! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Zaria, and Brown Sugar Studios to anyone wanting a great sugaring experience!!!!! Thank you Zaria

Do yourself a favor and don’t get sugared by anyone else! Honestly- so happy I randomly booked with Zaria a year or so ago, and have been seeing her ever since. I started seeing Zaria for my brows about a year ago and let me tell you, my life changed completely! I first got my brows done by her when she was still at SugarMe, the second I heard she left I had to follow her! I was new to the whole sugaring concept but Zaria is a magician with her hands- a true brow queen! Walking into her new space you instantly get greeted with a smile and everyone there makes you feel like you’re just catching up with an old friend. She makes you feel extremely comfortable and it doesn’t hurt that the place itself is super cute & clean. Zaria does an amazing job at walking you through the process explaining everything so you’re never thrown off by anything and she’s always eager to answer my questions! I cannot recommend Brown Sugar PDX enough!! I even brought my mom and she couldn’t stop talking about it. I’d give this more stars if I could!!

She lets you listen to music or podcasts of your choosing and is genuinely so nice + calming, & makes sure to give great advice for after care.
