Ive been taking classes at Philthy Fitness since last spring and am so glad I joined. I feel really supported and welcomed here and look forward to coming to classes. The trainers keep you motivated and ensure the workouts are challenging and fun. Phil even offers kickboxing (Muay Thai) classes twice a week, which are some of my favorite classes to attend! Phil, Sophie, Brent and Sam are all awesome trainers!If your looking for training, I highly recommend checking out Philthy Fitness!

I love it here at Philthy Fitness! Phil and the other trainers are so great and push me in new ways everyday.I started about a year ago and haven’t stopped. Last winter I was working a lot, and instead of making me feel bad about not coming to every class, Phil made me feel amazing for coming to the ones I could make it to. He has a positive attitude that will push you to give it your all and also support you through the workout. The classes always feel personal and like I’m getting a one on one workout.I’ve now started going 5 days a week and I cannot recommend Philthy Fitness enough! I am stronger and more confident in my body and abilities than ever before!

Great gym! Perfect for all levels of fitness and athleticism. Trainers are all very knowledgeable. Since going I no longer have the knee and back pain I had for years, and am more passionate about fitness than I’ve ever been. I always look forward to going to the gym!

Philthy Fitness is a true community space. The owner and coaches work hard to get to know you personally and to bring people together during workouts. I never weight-lifted until coming to this gym, and now a year later, these strength and conditioning classes are an essential part of my weekly routine! I attribute that to the wholistic approach that Philthy Fitness embodies and promotes - it’s about much more than just getting fit when you come to this gym. Love this place and am better because of it.

Group training is the best. Gym friends get you through and motivate you. Phil and staff design dynamic classes. Lots of variety from barbell lifts to team wind sprints. Its nice to show up, clear your head, and just follow directions. You’ll leave worked.

I love strength camp Portland! I am recovering from 3 car accidents back to back and I can finally start working out again. Sophie is amazing! She listens, watches your form, and really cares about getting you to achieve your goals. I’ve had numerous personal trainers in the past but none of them compare to her! She asked me all my goals and I was very precise with the exact muscle groups I needed to strengthen. She has completely personalized all my workouts to where I can do them without any pain! I never thought I would be able to get back to this intensity of working out until I found Sophie and this awesome place! I highly recommend to anyone! It doesn’t matter what kind of shape you are in, they make all workouts for your body type! Give this place a try you will definitely not regret it!

Almost three months back I was really struggling to emerge from the grief of losing my Dad. I was doing my best to eat well, and have always been pretty active (at the time I was working out at home, using various apps and YouTube), but I felt like I was in a rut that I couldnt seem to climb out of. I was starting to feel very isolated, anxious and depressed so my Doctor wrote me a prescription for Prozac. Shortly thereafter my Aunt encouraged me to join her for a workout at Strength Camp Portland. She had been going for several months and had great things to say, both about their Coach Phillip, and the community of people that she found there. I signed up for a two week trial, going Monday-Friday, first thing in the morning. I havent looked back. Ive never before been a morning workout person but I can honestly say that there hasnt been one morning since I joined Strength Camp that I have dreaded the workout. I really look forward to it every day. Phillip puts together challenging routines, that can accommodate all abilities, and leave you feeling accomplished and energized for the rest of the day. He is also a genuine, grounded person and truly cares about the growth and well-being of his clients. Not only have I become physically stronger and more fit as a result of Strength Camp, but that Prozac? It remains unopened.

This is the place to learn your bodies strength, what you can do mentally, to center yourself, and be around amazing people learning or helping you on your journey. The holidays are a blast spending time with those you kick a** with .If you have or had injuries this is the place like no other to prevent and rehabilitate you while getting stronger. I have learned so much from Philip he is a coach to have by your side if you ever feel alone he is the one you can count on to listen then work it out of you the and meditate on centering your stresses away in a healthy way.There really isnt nothing I can say bad bout this wonderful place other than if its your birthday he make it for sure a birthday workout to remember lol..💪❤So start loving yourself it is for you all sizes and strengths Philip got you 100% ..

Supportive, non-judgemental, and friendly gym. Phil is truly devoted to helping everyone become the strongest version of themselves and is occasionally obnoxiously enthusiastic about doing so. Trust me, it grows on you, and you will actually enjoy coming to a workout with a friendly crowd who actually have a lot of fun.

This place is amazing! I started in January of 2019 because I was having issues with my knees and my weight had reached 210. I needed a big time reboot and that is exactly what I found at Philthy Fitness. Phillip Adler and all the trainers helped motivate me to keep going. All I had to commit to was showing up and doing what they told me to do. I say it was the easiest hardest thing I’ve ever done and am still doing. Every class is designed to keep your body guessing what is coming next. It’s never boring and quite fun. I love the group training concept they use here. My fellow comrades keep me super motivated and many have become wonderful friends. It’s like family and I’m excited to see and workout with those I see everyday and those I see once in awhile.I’m 56 and have reached my goal weight of 185 but it is less about weight for me now but rather staying healthy, moving and doing something for me. If I don’t take care of myself I can’t take care of others. I’ve learned a lot more than the physical aspects here at Philthy Fitness, there is a ton of mental and spiritual growth too. I recommend this place to anyone that wants to make a life-changing reboot. It will happen if you just show up. It really is that simple but be prepared to work hard because change isn’t easy but oh so worth it. I’m worth it and so are you.

Phil’s a great trainer—super knowledgeable, present and engaged, and encouraging in a way that fits my personal needs. He’s also a really kind and thoughtful person, and I feel fortunate to experience his positive energy on a regular basis. The Strength Camp programming is excellent and the space and equipment is top-notch. I have been attending Strength Camp Portland with Phil for a year and half now, first in SE Portland and now in the amazing new gym in NE. Do NOT hesitate to sign up at Strength Camp, I couldn’t recommend it enough. It has changed my life not only physically, but in all aspects of my life. Before I contacted Phillip Adler, I was emotionally, physically and spiritually tired. I knew I had to do something, but finding what it was seemed elusive. Where do I go? Who do I contact? Who can help me? I recalled that back in 2011 Phillip was my personal trainer at a local gym, I wanted to be healthy for a milestone year. When his career path changed I did not follow him and stayed with the local gym then sought team training elsewhere. Years have passed, then over four years ago my workout routine changed in a major way, I could not make the commitment because I allowed work to supersede this joy and I became trapped in a dark place and my depression blossomed until it was crushing my spirit and I gained weight because I found solace in alcohol. It quieted the voices, but I knew this was not a solution, I needed to solve my inner chaos another way. I contacted Phillip through his website, Philthy Fitness Pdx and we met, and after he analyzed my answers to the questionnaire and we discussed my inner personal conundrum, he proposed a holistic personal training route and I agreed. It takes more than physical strength to feel whole and complete, and content. I am so very happy that I made this commitment. Although I have only begun this mission of solving my emotional, physical and spiritual lethargy, in the short time I have participated I have seen significant inner personal growth and a resumption of joy. Philthy Fitness has been the resource I needed. Recently, I felt as if an outer layer of my inner chaos had been cleared, and it was so refreshing and uplifting, I regained an inner strength that had been buried by self-doubt and societal programming. I have recently elevated my personal growth by participating in dynamic meditation. I have been going to strength camp for about two months with my mom now. Phil is a fantastic trainer and super knowledgeable. He is great at personalizing everything so it is challenging for us at our own levels. SInce going here I have already begun to see positive changes. I am happier, more toned, and can do so many more things in everyday life because of the strength I am developing here. In addition Phil helped me train for a physical test I was taking in a month from joining. I passed and I never could have done that on my own. Now he is helping me with new goals to PR in my next triathlon. I am grateful for the supportive atmosphere that strength camp always provides.

I joined Strength Camp Portland a month ago and committed to going 5 days a week and eating a healthy diet. Since then Ive seen AMAZING results and feel STRONGER than ever!! I cant stress enough how amazing this camp is and how great Phillip, the instructor, is. He provides a variety of class times that you choose from that fits your busy schedule. Its a non judgment free zone, and all the clients are extremely supportive and encouraging! Every class has an average of 5 people. Even though its a group setting, it still feels like I have my own personal trainer. Phillip designs every workout that is catered to your personal needs. Oh, and did I mention that the first 2 weeks are FREE!?! JOIN! JOIN! JOIN!!!

Phils doing amazing things with Strength Camp. His sessions are very intense and the people that work with him are all very loving and supportive of one another. Its a great environment to work out in whether youre just starting or have been going for a long time. Im a collegiate athlete (golf) and have been working out on and off my whole life. I started working out with Phil this last summer anywhere from 3-6 days a week. Every session is a grind, but the whole time he makes you aware of the amazing progress youre making. Its a great experience and definitely worth it.

I cannot tell you how amazing Phil and Strength Camp Portland are, I have been working out with Phil for about 6 months and am seeing so many results - strength, speed, mobility, and all around wellness. Phil is a great trainer who has a ton of knowledge and passion for what he does. If you get bored easily while working out, Phil is for you. His workouts are always different (I dont think I have done the same one twice), and the people at Strength Camp are so inspiring and fun to work out with. Give it a shot for the New Year!

If you are ready to transform your life, its time to meet Phillip Adler. I have been working with him for about eight months now. Phillip is right for me because his knowledge, experience, compassion and ability to adapt to individual needs. I feel stronger physically and more importantly I am stronger emotionally. I have more energy, have made some great friends and have a better outlook on life. It is important to take care of ourselves first if we want to be available to others in our lives, this is one great way to take great care of yourself.

Phillip noticed that my squats were suboptimal for my body type. I was feeling knee pain when I would squat ATG. With a few adjustments, I now lift heavier and feel no pain in my knee during front or back squats. Thanks Phil! You are super knowledgeable/helpful

I joined Strength Camp back in January and my experience has been phenomenal. Phill is an amazing instructor who never failed to empower me to finish a workout in order to reach my goals. By far the best gym for self improvement. Even though it is a group setting the trainers make it feel as though its your own training session and motivation is never lacking

I started working out with Phillip and Strength Camp Portland in November 2016. The physical and emotional strength I’ve gained means more to me than the pounds shed and my clothes fitting better (that’s just a perk!). Phillip’s workouts are intense, but he’s there supporting and motivating you every step of the way. It’s a great feeling walking out of class feeling accomplished and amazed at what your body just did. Phillip truly wants you to and believes you can become the best version of yourself. And honestly, I have since meeting and working with him. I would highly recommend Phillip and Strength Camp to family, friends and anyone I meet.

Ive been going to classes at Strength Camp for about a month, and am so happy to have found this place! Ive been a member at traditional gyms off and on for the past couple years but it wasnt working for me. I would get so bored doing cardio on the treadmill or elliptical, and I almost never worked in any strength training because I didnt have the time or interest in designing a balanced routine for myself.At Strength Camp, I dont have any of these reasons to avoid the gym. Im never bored because everyday is different. The workouts are planned and led by an experienced trainer, so all you have to do is show up. Finally, Ive been surprised at how much I value the community aspect of Strength Camp. Everyone is welcoming and supportive, and it has been way more fun and motivating to work out in a group. I definitely push myself harder than I ever would working out alone, which is a huge plus in my book. Im looking forward to many more months at Strength Camp and seeing the community continue to grow :)

I did not know what it was like to push myself to the max until I attended this past month of Strength Camp. I came in out of shape and not in the best of spirits for how I looked and felt. It has been about a month and I feel so good and am totally addicted to these sessions. Everyone is so encouraging to each other as well. This is not like a chain gym experience at all. It is body, mind, soul...working out in a different and better way. I thank Philip for showing me I have a lot more in me than I had ever thought.

I first met Phillip in 2013 or so when I started taking kickboxing classes with him. Not only did I immediately fall in love with kickboxing, I fell in love with Phils energy, skill, and enthusiasm. I started gaining skills quickly because of his great teaching. When he started Strength Camp I was thrilled. I would follow him anywhere. I never knew I could get as strong as I did with Phillip. Best of all, he is a true gentleman, hes the sort of trainer you can admit your roadblocks to, you can show him your most vulnerable self and he will sit down and really listen and help you with realistic solutions. He is a badass with a heart of gold, a sage, and so knowledgable and skilled. He looks at your whole self. Hes worked with me through several injuries and never minds giving modifications. He cares about your unique goals and challenges. Because of these things, you get results with Phillip that you would never get with anyone else. Best trainer in town!!

Strength camp is amazing. The classes are challenging and can be adapted to any skill level. Philip has been invaluable in my fitness journey. I have gained strength and endurance, I have learned so much about fitness and how to be healthy and well rounded. When I started my fitness journey I would call classify myself as out of shape. When u know you might have a slight addiction problem... but I say when your in love one can never get enough. its amazing to lobe myself again. to know what I can accomplish when I put my mind to it. I just lost 27.5 lbs in 30 days at age 34 with 5 major low back surgeries where I had to learn how to wall again at age 25. 2 acl replacements and a plethora of other big surgeries. but I have truly been blessed by God with a second chance at a very healthy, empowering, inspiring life to do what i lobe to do best.
