Overall, awesome experience. Super chill guy to work with. He has a clear focus on the customer, and is a wealth of knowledge. I had an issue with my PS4 (had for 4 years). He was able to break down and diagnose the issue quickly and teach me a thing or two. It was fixed within a weekend, and is now, running like new. I took a gamble and bought an older welder without being able to know for sure if it worked, even though the seller assured me it did. Well, I got it home and silly me, all it did was click when I tried to spool wire. I opened it up and saw there was some damage on the circuit board. I found Bridgetown online and brought the circuit board in to Adrian. Right away he was able to diagnose a blown trace and a bad relay and said it could be repaired. Once the relay arrived he had it repaired same day. I got it home and put it in the welder and it works awesome!!!Thanks to Adrian, I ended up getting a better deal than the guy that sold the welder to me.I highly recommend Bridgetown Electronics. I usually do all of my own repair/build/install work, a result of years of not having access to repair shops and money to pay them.I have an unhealthy obsession with music electronics and computers, and I love diving into them. That means I often find myself in over my head and stuck with a completely disassembled machine.Adrian has been a lifesaver for me in these situations, taking my messes and finishing projects I just couldnt.Hes super smart, very approachable, and aggressively fair. Repaired my water-damaged Macbook air, and its been working just like new ever since. While the other repair stores I tried told me my computer was busted for good and instead tried to offer me new (and of course heinously expensive) computers to buy, he was able to fix the damage completely in less than a day, as well as touch up other issues. I cant say enough good things about Adrian and Bridgetown. Ive used him for a variety of things over the last couple of years and Ive always found him to be fair in pricing, honest about what he can/cant do, and fast in turning projects around. Ive used Adrians laptop repair services twice now and will certainly use him again. From the get-go hes very helpful and eager to answer any questions you have in an easy to understand way, Ive come in and seen him taking the time to answer questions explaining voice recognition software to an older client with no previous knowledge of it and they walked away understanding it, where every other repair shop Ive been to would have just handed the phone back and sent them out the door. On a business level, hes quick to respond and keeps in touch with text and email with follow-ups and warranties, and provides excellent prices, often ordering the parts needed for the fix right there in front of you. He does usually have his dog in the office with him, she is incredibly calm and friendly and my dog-allergic girlfriend had no reaction to being in there.

Bridgetown electronics repair literally saved me hundreds of dollars. I had an instrument panel cluster go out in my Chevy Tahoe. While the dealership was offering to replace it for nearly 800 dollars (including their labor prices) Bridgetown Electronics had it repaired good as new and it didnt hurt my already broken wallet. I’ve been coming to Bridgetown Electronics Repair for a few years now, and have brought in many different types of electronics for repair. So far, I think it’s been my Dell laptop, a relative’s gaming desktop, my Samsung cell phone, and most recently, my buggy external hard drive from 2008. I have also gotten information and advice from this shop that has been extremely helpful, around my electronics.First off, Adrian, the owner, is just a fantastic human being. He is personable and down to earth. He takes the extra time to explain his process, the pros and cons of different options (in easy-to-understand terms with no jargon), and sometimes he even recommends outside options if he thinks they’d be the best choice for me. Often when I bring something in, he’ll do a diagnostic right then and there with me, at the front counter, and explain what he’s seeing as he goes. In short, this dude definitely does not fit the aloof, IT Crowd stereotype.Not all the items I have brought in have been salvageable (I’m hard on my stuff), but it is clear that Adrian exhausts every avenue before making that determination, and he’s even helped me with recommendations for affordable replacement when something has been too broken to fix. I think it’s telling that I always feel satisfied even when something wasn’t fixable.In terms of cost, I have found the shop’s prices to be more than fair - Adrian always does his best to make sure I don’t pay a penny more than I have to for repairs and parts, and he keeps me in the loop at every step in terms of what things will cost and how long it’s expected to take. There also have been several instances where the bill has actually ended up being lower than previously agreed - I feel that Adrian really tries to find ways to benefit me as a customer. As a side note, the shop also has a system that sends you updates on your stuff via email, which I find very convenient.Long story short, I recommend this place frequently to my friends and family. Adrian is a genuinely awesome person, and he really seems to be in this line of work because he loves it. He is definitely not just out to make a buck, he will treat you and your electronics with TLC, and he’ll keep you in the loop the whole time. And, as an added bonus, his shop dog is sweet and adorable and loves getting pets. 10/10 all around.

Took my MacBook Pro to Apple when it wouldn’t load. They said my hard drive was shot and lost all my data. I almost took it to a $1000 data recovery place. But luckily a friend had just had his logic board soldered by Adrian and recommended this shop. Adrian recovered my data and fixed the cable to my hard drive. All for $75!! He said Apple often knows about defects of certain years and they are not forthcoming about it at all and lie to their customers, saying they need to upgrade. He said this hard drive cable from 2012 MacBook pros is a know issue w recalls. It’s criminal that the Apple store didn’t tell me this when I took it in. This shop amazing

I brought in a floor lamp that had stopped working and within a day and for $15 it was fixed. I dont want to get the guys at Bridgetown in trouble for being so efficient since it might not always be so quick of a turnaround, but this was pretty impressive. I would highly recommend you give these guys a chance with some piece of equipment or electronics rather than buying something new or throwing it out. They are offering a great service at a very reasonable cost and filling a niche in this crazy consumer culture. I will be back.

Theres a new gem in Portland, Oregon for computer service: Bridgetown Electronics and Repair! This shop is fantastic! We had two still working but older computers that needed some fresh hardware and optimization. They were able to make both machines run lighting fast and added several more years of life to computers we thought were due for replacement. Bridgetown was professional, reasonably priced, and fixed our computers on time and on budget. We will be taking all future computer issues to Bridgetown.

This place is amazing. I brought my computer here feeling totally hopeless and had a really great experience. The computer specialist(I think his name is Adrian) who helped me was really patient and obviously really competent and explained what was wrong with my computer in terms i understood. I got my computer fixed a month ago and still think about how great Bridgetown was every time I use my computer so I figured I should write a review. I really cant recommend this place enough.

I wrote a 4 star review even though this place 150% deserves a 5 star review. I wrote a 4 because I am a skeptic, like most consumers, and I question things when I see a place with nothing but 5 Star reviews. This place absolutely deserves it. I brought my Android S8 in to be fixed, and I need it for work. He wasnt able to have it fixed until the next day so he literally sat there and called every other reputable repair shop in town. Half of them didnt pick up, and the half that did werent even accommodating. Hed already earned my trust and my business by being so darn honest throughout, so I when no other shop in town could do it someday, I was still pretty psyched to go with him! Unfortunately an issue unrelated to him, and his business, interrupted shipping of the product needed, which he had paid out of his pocket to have 1-day shipping for. From there he sent me to the next best shop in town (who finally picked up their phone) and actually made them radically drop their prices because his were so darn honest. I never really review places, nor do I ever give such extensive reviews, but I did because no one else has so radically deserved it.

If you ever see 66 reviews where 65 are 5-star and one is 4-star, you might think thats obviously too good to be true, must be fake reviews.Nope. All of the customers are really this happy. I sure am. No need to explain the details, just that Adrian was above and beyond any expectations Ive ever had of a repair shop.

Fantastic service. I had my Surface Pro 3 screen replaced by Adrian and it took less than a week (actually 3 business days) to order the part and complete the repair. He also quoted less than 3 other shops. I will definitely come back for any future device repair I may need.

Great experience!I had an expensive specialized motorized device that automatically opens a sliding glass door. The power supply to the control board was damaged. The soldering was expertly completed at a very reasonable price. I was especially impressed with excellent communication, status updates via texts, and email followups to confirm repairs were still satisfactory. Very professional!

I came in thinking I was going to pay for a pricey part replacement for my phones charging issues, but he was able to find the real problem with a much easier (and cheaper) solution. He could have just done the repair I was asking for and charged me, but he instead talked me through every step he was doing and how he found the simpler issue. I was referred to them by simple Mac about troubleshooting a graphics card on my MacPro and after chatting on the phone with me the service tech walked me through all the steps and didn’t even charge me! I brought in my Iphone 6 and Adrian troubleshot it with me right there. I found out later my phone was not worth fixing for the cost of the repair. He was the most upfront and informative person I have met. If the battery on my new phone needs replacing I will consider having him replace the battey even though I can replace it myself. Plus I got to read some Apple II basic code while I wait next in line.thats cool.

My phone screen was damaged in a bicycle accident. I searched around online for options and based upon previous reviews and the fact that Bridgetown is only a couple of miles from my house I decided to give them a call.I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ with a year left on the contract (company owned/employee responsible) so I needed to get the screen fixed or eat a huge penalty to get a new phone. Called in on Wednesday and Adrian quoted me a competitive price over the phone (less than to ship it to Samsung). Said he would need to order the part which would be in tomorrow and it would take a day. I assumed part would arrive Thursday and he would have it ready for me on Friday. Nope. Adrian called on Thursday and said the phone was ready. Part had arrived and he had fixed it. I did not get his message until about 6:45. I called up and he said even though the shop closed in 15 minutes, he was going to be around and I should swing by.I arrived about 7:15. Adrian let me in, handed over the phone and explained the warranty. Had me check it out to ensure the touch screen was responding as I would expect and said if I had any issues to let him know. He even gave me a few bucks off the quoted price. Great place. I will definitely return if needed and will recommend to anyone that may need cell phone repair.

I was relieved to find Bridgetown Repair when my desktop PC needed service. I discovered that the shop Id used several times over the years had closed, and found Bridgetown located just a few blocks from my home. Adrian and Kevin took in my PC, and discovered the problem within a few hours. I felt the charge for the service was reasonable; and even had to return to the shop for further advice, at no extra charge. This was a good experience for me.

Bridgetown Electronics was amazing. My nearly 9 year old MacBook Pro was beyond repair but they ordered a part and tested it just to confirm that was so without charging me a dime. They were generous with their time, provided sound advice regarding recycling my old machine and practical recommendations for a replacement. I took my VR desktop gaming PC in repair. Instead of telling me up front that hes MAC only not PC repair, he took in my computer for repair. Then he emailed me that he couldnt repair it, better off buying a new computer. This was a very expensive VR gaming computer that was a year old. What I received back was my computer in pieces and missing the power cord. I was shocked that he returned the computer in pieces. At this point, I just wanted my power cable back so I could take it someplace else for repair. Instead he replied, called me a liar and told me to go buy a new one. After going back and forth, he sent our entire email conversation to someone not involved which is extremely unprofessional and unethical. Eventually said hed mail me the power cord. Weeks later, still no power cord. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PC TO THIS PLACE. You will get back in worse condition then when you brought it in. My computer is in pieces. I have no clue what else is missing until I take it to another shop for repair. Id give ZERO stars if I could.

Adrian is fantastic. He is honest and really knowledgeable. He was really kind to me when I needed help with my silly iPhone. I would trust him over the Apple Store any day.

These guys helped me with 2 phones 2 computers and data retrieval from old devices. They updated and diagnosed all problems and got my computer functioning correctly. Like a needle in a hay stack - I was super shocked to find someone when and where I needed it for what I thought would NEVER be possible. Recovering lost data from a smashed hard drive. When I presented my situation to them it just seemed unreasonable to even ask. Some of you may not know how or why you need a service provider like Bridgetown Electronics, but when it comes to being a matter of doable and practical - Bridgetown is your ethical, viable and affordable choice. Dont just do without, throw it away or take it back. Know you have options and you really should know what they are and exercise them. Im glad I did. Unbelievable but these guys actually recovered my data from a bad HD. Also had them repair a phone that had been sitting in water for DAYS! Yes - its repaired! Thanks Adrian for all your help!

A friend of mine gave me an iPhone 5.Unfortunately I realized fast the battery was fried (wouldnt hold a charge for much more than an hour even on standby).I was looking for a place to replace the battery and pretty much all I was finding was shops not answering their phone, saying they cant do that (Office Depot even though their website says they do) or just charging too much for a simple repair for a professional.My girlfriend mentioned that there was a place right by her work so I called them.When I called I was told it would cost $40 and take about 20 minutes. I was told I could just come in whenever and they would take care of it and thats exactly what they did.I could not be happier with the work they did and how fast they did it.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars! MacBook wouldnt boot up and Apple Genius Bar diagnosed the issue and told me to send it to DriveSavers in CA, pay $700-1700 (which, if you read their reviews seems to always be the higher end of the quote) to recover data, then reinstall the OS. After seeing Bridgetowns great reviews I decided to take it there instead. The guys were AWESOME! Adrian was pretty confident he could fix the issue without reinstalling the OS, and he did just that. I had my laptop and all data back in just over 24 hours, and they were even open on Labor Day for me to pick it up. The bill? $60!!! Aside from the repair being inexpensive and professional, the guys I met at Bridgetown were just great individuals--nice guys that are great at what they do.

Ive been here twice and cant recommend them highly enough. First time was for my wifes phone. They thought the issue was the power button so they replaced it. Unfortunately that wasnt the issue so we brought it back. They researched it further and found a common issue with that model of phone, contacted the manufacturer and made them agree to replace the phone even though it was out of warranty. To top it off they refunded us for the power button. Everyone I have talked with at the store is friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.

Very friendly and knowledgeable service. He fixed my phone in about five minutes and allowed me to pay whatever I felt was a reasonable amount since it was a simple repair. I would highly recommend this place if you need your phone is busted! Also easy to get to and centrally located in se portland.
