Awful! I called this place for an elderly man who was trying to get home! After pretending she didnt know where the pioneer court house was she ended by rudely saying, sorry I cant help!! I couldnt figure why she went so rude & mean. Ill walk before Id ever call them again!

The manager of this company gave my Uncle a ride and noticed that he was being scammed by the person my Uncle was talking to on the phone. My Uncle is older and has some mental health issues. The cab driver realized what was going on and told my Uncle what was up. Bottom line, this guy saved my Uncle from being scammed big time!Thank you so much for being a good person and for watching out for a fellow human being. They took 3 times longer then what they said they would take, [I waited for 90 mins]... then the cab driver was very rude and needs to work on his hygiene ASAP...!!!!!

An unmarked taxi cab showed up, blue and white dodge charger, older model maybe 2011. Very sketchy and worrisome.

I was told 20 minuites to an hour. I called them back after 2 hours and was told they cancelled the ride an hour ago and had no other drivers. I never got a call or text, which made it faaar too late to book another cab. When I asked why nicely, I got hung up on. Would give 0 stars if I could, cuz this happened TWICE in 2 days.

Highly recommend! A group of friends and I attended a wedding where there was no cell phone service so we called Portland Taxi Cab prior to the wedding and scheduled a pick up. It was an uneasy feeling doing this not knowing if they would show up and being somewhere with no service BUT they showed up and on time! Our driver was very professional but also willing to have good conversation with us. Will use again in the future!

My tire went flat and i had no spare so i had to have AAA take my car home and per AAA needed a taxi vs them take me home. ken was my driver and was absolutely wonderful. Not only did he arrive fast but he waited an hour for AAA to arrive after arriving to me since i had to be their for the pick up and then helped me get my 3 little babies in and mind u its 1030pm an ungodly hour screaming tired babies and he was so very kind then the drive home was another hour and he was incredibly intelligent and i was able to gain useful helpful knowledge and tips from cars to healthy eating. The fact the company i called prior told me they wont do salem drop offs from portland had me in fear i was going to be stranded at the terrible lateness of the hour downtown Portland 50 miles from home. But thanks to portland taxi cab central dispatch and ken being willing to wait a whole hour after arriving really really saved my night and helped my kids get home at an affordable rate and kindly the whole time. I will definitely only be using this taxi company if ever needed from Portland because the service from the call to the drop off was of the utmost perfection thank you i get to go to sleep vs stress out now thanks to you guys. Tho my babies cant say it their sound asleep and grateful as well to be able to have gotten home as quickly and affordably as they did.

So, first, the service. I called at night, had a car sent my way... and it never showed up. Waited 30 minutes after the expected arrival time in a very public, easy-to-see place. Called back, was given the run-around. Ended up getting a different cab. That alone is worth one star.Then theres the extra detail that theyre incredibly homophobic as a company. They made the local news lately for one of their drivers screaming at a group of gay people that they would burn in hell, and then the owners of the business, when asked about their drivers conduct, said that the gays choosing not to use their service over this was good for the company. Also, apparently they often tell gay riders that they should be in jail. How charming.So, in summary: unreliable service AND unapologetic in their incredibly homophobic company policy. Avoid them.

Had to use Portland Taxi Cab today because of the weather. Had a great experience with it. Polite dispatch, very clean cab and driver was friendly and respectful. I did not have to wait for the cab because it was right on time. The trip was fast, but very safe. I strongly recomend this nice company!!!

I hate Broadway show tunes and Portland Cabs vehicles are blissfully free of them which makes them a perfect fit for me. Oh and the drama. Gay friendly cabs are so full of it. Portland Cab? I hate to write poor reviews but I felt that I owe it to any cab seekers out there. I made an online reservation the day before I needed a cab. I received an email confirming it. Great, I thought, Im set. The next day, my scheduled pick-up time came and went, no cab driver, no phone call, no email. I called them to see if someone was on their way -- no answer. I left a message and frantically made other arrangements.I wondered if Id hear from them later in the day, but nothing, not a peep. I will say that this was when snow and ice were threatening, so I can be understanding with a driver running late but not with confirming my reservation then ignoring me. I called them the next day to see what happened and to give them the opportunity to redeem themselves. They didnt have an answer, so I cant give them a positive review.

Buyer beware. Cab driver was pleasant but pricing was almost 30% higher for a trip home from the airport in a cab than weve ever paid before for 2 adults and a 5 year old. Bad business especially with all of the lesser priced non cab options these days.

As a gay man in the city of Portland I appreciate a company that wants my business. Portland taxi openly doesnt want my business because of my sexuality. Thats fine, I will no longer support a company that doesnt support me. Good luck staying in business, you messed up BIG TIME!

Absolutely the worst ride ever was quote $10 and change to go 2 miles total round trip (pick up food and come back to hotel) walked into the restaurant and came back out . We sit longer at a stop light. Got back to the hotel and the fare was 19.70. On top of that I’m watching the meter at a stop light and it’s still adding fare to the bill the entire time stopped and not moving . When I asked the driver to explain the rates to me and why the meter was adding as we were stopped he was rude and aggressive about the question. So that tells me he wasn’t wanting to explain how he was robbing me and other customers. I’m an industry where there is growing competition that would and will run them out of business this probably a problem that should be rectified because I see that the room for bad comments is definitely running out.

Great service in an unexpected area! Weve never had a driver not show or be even 5 mins late. They pull your address from your phone number if youre a repeat customer so you dont have to waste time repeating yourself each call. All drivers weve had are very professional. They even drive the path you want ¬ the long way around to reach up now$like some other can companies do. Thank you Portland taxi!

Dispatcher repeated directions and time clearly, driver was a bit early and let me know he was there - thus reducing panic at 5am - and didnt bat an eyelid at frantic kids. Got to airport with time to spare and chilled out. Would recommend.

Driver was extremely rude and made it clear he did not want my fare as it wasnt far enough. He pointed out how long he had to wait for a fare and I felt uncomfortable the entire ride. He had no problem offering no change and taking a 40% tip. I told him that I hope his day gets better and he just walked away. Worst customer service I have experienced anywhere.

Great service, picked me up around 6-8 minutes after i ordered one. Drove very smooth, very friendly driver, also VERY clean cab. Yes i saw the news and i think the company shouldnt be affected and it should be the driver facing the punishments!

I took this cab service from the queue at the airport. The driver entered my address in a GPS and received, in my opinion, the best and most efficient route possible for getting to my home in inner SE Portland. However, he elected to go a different way that added both time and milage to my journey. It was 4:45 AM and I had been traveling with delays and I just didnt have the energy to argue about the route. I felt like I had been taken for a ride in more ways than one.

Reserved a cab online in the morning for that afternoon. Driver was early and we shared some nice conversation. He was clearly a good person and very kind and helpful.

WARNING: They are scammers. I got quoted $55 - $57 on the phone and took the taxi this morning and the cost came to $121.50. The driver seemed to be aware of the crappy operators that they have and offered me a 10% discount.The driver was very nice and timely but that doesnt excuse charging over 200% of the quoted price. Would NEVER use them again. An uber would have cost me $61.50 but I went with Portland Taxi because they quoted me about $5 less.

Utter crap company. Dispatch answering the phones is dismissive of specific requests, difficult to understand, & just plain rude. The car service itself is unreliable & cannot be counted on to show up at a pre arranged time nor do they show up in a reasonable time frame when called on the spot.

1 star and I am being generous. Driver of car#25 is a liar and a slob. Worst taxi experience in my 63 years and I used to live in New York!

Wow this company is awful. Called to book a taxi to pick my mom up, take her to her post op appointment and wait about an hour, then take her home. Dispatch tried to rush me through the call which wasnt promising but ok, busy happens. Driver left my obviously half blind mother at the clinic front doors and left despite being requested specifically to wait and agreeing to pay the $40 an hr wait fee. Horrible company and service. Use only if every other available option is exhausted, then still choose to walk because its less infuriating.

Very good company. My rides are always on time and the drivers are so nice and keep good company during the ride, unlike where other companies just take you to the destination without saying a word, making the ride uncomfortable and awkward.

Worst cab fare ever. My hotel was 7.7 miles from the hotel. The fare is 2.90 times mileage. They clocked me in at 11 miles worth of driving so instead of $23, they charged me $31. Uber was $23. This place is a rip off. The ticker was already clocked in when I got in the cab. Dispatch barely speaks English. The cab driver was on a 12 hour shift, unfit for driving.I want my money back for the sheer incompetency of this establishment for robbing me of my time and my money. Never got a receipt either. Never use this cab company again. Im disputing my charges.

Furthermore, I work nights at the 24-hour diner next door to where this happened, and I send A TON of business to our local cab companies. From now on, whenever one of my customers asks me to call a cab for them, not only will I boycott Portland Taxi Cab Company 100%, but Ill also make sure to tell every single customer who ever asks me to get them a cab all about this.Scandals bar has the absolute sweetest, kindest bunch of people working there and we share an amazing group of regular customers. We at the diner couldnt ask for better neighbors who contribute immensely to our shared community. Nobody deserves to be treated the way the driver of cab #16 treated my friends and customers on the Scandals patio last Tuesday, but I am just aghast that it happened to such especially good people. Almost got run off the road todayby Portland cab driver when he tried to pass on my left and then make a right hand turn. When he cut back into his lane he almost rear ended my car. When I called Portland Cab to talk to management, they said,”So”! Think twice about getting into a car with a very crazy driver.

I am only giving them one star because I have to...they deserve nothing. Glad to know you dont want my business as much as I dont want to give it to you. Daniel Svoboda, your driver, is a thief yet you dont want to pick up gay people...best wishes for your company to flounder and flop. By running it this way it is sure to fail.

Found these guys at the airport. A friend had my car keys I was just meeting him to grab the keys and had been planning to return right back. He said no problem. I was alone, no bagage, but inItial charge was $6 and started adding up very quickly. Lyft there was $12 when I flew out. I asked him about the fare, he said hed make me a deal and that they pay to park, insurance etc ... I asked about military doscount, he said no. So when I get there, he says its $39. I give him $40 and offered no change. (I know, its a buck, who cares ... but $12 vs $39, figured thats enough). He argued and said youre supposed to give 20% and its 39.50. I asked why, he just said 39, he gesured to the meter. He then gave me 26 cents and said thats all the Change I have. As I got out of the cab, he yells at me to never take a cab again... well, I wont. Especially not with them. $2.50 for a bus ticket. $12 for lyft. $58 to rent a car for a day from the airport ... or $40 and a lot of attitude from this rip off of a cab company... wish I could give them negative stars.

After leaving this Salsa-dancing club, I called for a pick-up. They were quick to pick up the phone, and told me itll be 25-35 minutes (or more) for the vehicle to arrive.After 30 minutes of waiting, my friend and I saw a Portland Taxi flying past Stark. I tried to wave it down, but it flew with so much velocity that we couldnt get its attention. We seriously hoped that wasnt our ride, so we waited another 40 minutes. I called after over an hour and the driver reported a no show. So it would be another HOUR till another driver came again, the gentleman told me.From the dozens of Uber rides picking up drunkards, I asked one waiting by the street if he can call other Uber cabs (since I didnt have the app). He was kind enough to give us a ride. The Portland taxi company driver never waited for us, OR let us know that he gave up on us.It was my friends first taxi experience, and hes learned how awful and unreliable it has become. I tried being optimistic, but even patience has a limit.

No gps so I had to tell him how to get there. Word of advice. Hire those who speak good english and know theyre way around.

Called for taxi to the train. Left myself 20 min to get there for a 10-15 minute drive. I walked out the door less than 5 minutes passed the agreed upon time, and the taxi was nowhere to be seen.Im not sure if they even showed up. There was no courtesy call or even honk. I asked my neighbor who was outside at the time if he saw a taxi arrive and he said he hadnt.I called the dispatcher, and was on hold for the entire 10 minutes until my Uber driver showed up. I called back later to speak with a manager, and after waiting on hold another 7 minutes I finally gave up.I missed my train and had to pay for another ticket. Unbelievable that they are in business with this kind of service. How do they expect to complete with Uber? Hopefully they will soon be obsolete.Avoid this company at all costs.

I guess this taxi company is anti-gay and unashamed to be so according to recent news. I think its way past time people get over their hatred and bigotry. Theres no reason to support people with that much cruelty in their hearts.

Ive used this company multiple times now for 4am rides to and from PDX, and for other trips around Portland. They are always very friendly, pleasant and punctual. I would recommend them.

As soon as I made a phone call to get a cab, I knew I had made a mistake. Mate and I were drinking and I called for a cab. A brisk and angry man answered the phone, and after several aggravatingly short answers and demands of my whereabouts, someone came to pick us up. As soon as they pull up, he is smoking a cigarette and told me to wait as he finished so I could get in. The cab was musty itself, and wasnt very clean (Crumbs on the floor). Suffice to say the man was gruff, extremely opinionated to which we never incurred about his opinions politically, and dropped us off. He then proceeded to let on strongly about a tip.All around the worst company to ever have to deal with. ANYTHING is better than these disgusting creatures.

I dont think Ive ever had a transportation issue as bad as this. I reserved a taxi which never showed up, and the information booth at PDX said theres no record of any reservations, even though I have textual confirmation.Then, the information booth at PDX calls for a cab, from Portland Taxi, for 7 people, and then these idiots decide to send a Prius who just looks at us confused as to why he was dispatched.Its 1am, Im with family and kids, and was so confused as to how this service continues to run as a legitimate business, that I decided to just call another service.This is pathetic.

The worst service ever!!! I pre-arranged a reservation for transportation to the airport. Fifteen minutes before the taxi was to arrive I received a text stating Dear Customer, I would like to inform you that you due to busy schedule your reservation has beencancelled. Absolutely horrible experience!!!! I desperately needed a cab to take my kids to school because they missed the bus. I sent my babysitter with my kids to sign them in. Was only going to take a couple mins and he refused to make a return trip. Stranded my babysitter at the kids school. I had to call their competitor for a ride back. They were rude on the phone and worst in person. This experience just made me dowload the UBER app. Middle finger to this company.

Homophobic hate speech hurling drivers that are supported in thier bigoted views by thier superiors. They claim to have both fired and suspended the driver, who by the way...has a record of terrorist acts against the LGBTQ community.

Says online theyre open 24 hours. Reserved online (suddenly and at 3 AM, Ill admit). I got no confirmation and no ride. Ended up going through Uber for cheaper.

Dont ride again, really bad driver.
