These guys (David and Mike) are great! They are knowledgeable, fun to work with, patient and thorough. They take the time to do things right. Columbia Motors has a vast collection of makes and models to choose from.They are honest and well-liked by the local community. David recommended a nearby restaurant Observatory (terrific food) and when I went to Onpoint Bank about an hour later, one of the tellers there spoke very highly of the Columbia Motors Dealership. They are clearly personable and well liked. It was a pleasure doing business with them and on top of it all I love the car I got today. I would go back again and will definitely recommend.

Great place to buy a rebuilt vehicle. We did a pre-purchase inspection and everything looked good. Unfortunately, when we were driving away the check engine light came on. We called Columbia Motors and they were happy to check it out and replace the Catalytic Converter free of charge. The salesmen were friendly and amicable. Great customer service even though we were incessantly pestering them about the status of the vehicle. I highly recommend this dealership.

This company was simply top-notch to work with. They specialize in vehicles that suffered mostly cosmetic damage which have then been professionally rebuilt. As a result, the prices are consistently well below normal market. Thats what drew me in. I came for the prices and stayed for the service.The staff here was super helpful, professional, clear in their communications, and consistently went above-and-beyond.For example, the car I bought had a minor issue with the cabin climate control - either full-blast cold, or full-blast hot – that didnt become apparent until Id had the car for a couple days. The service department at Columbia promptly diagnosed the issue and fixed in on the spot. I had left a travel mug of coffee in the console while they were working on my car; the service technician accidentally spilled some of the coffee. He not only cleaned up the spill, but bought me a replacement coffee for my trouble.If this is the kind of care and attention to detail that Columbia Motors shows their customers, you can expect they show the same level of detail to their repair work.I dont think youll be disappointed working with this crew.

Bought a 2005 4Runner that was on consignment. Overall the customer service is good, and the sales people are not pushy. Prices are a little high but the whole car market is high right now, so I won’t blame that all on them. Keep in mind majority of their inventory is rebuilt title, so make sure to inspect and bring it to a mechanic. I unfortunately didn’t bring mine to a mechanic until after purchasing it and found out it needed quite a bit in repairs. I was quite frustrated and made it known that I was upset about the vehicle I purchased having issues. The GM was able to work with me and the seller to cover part of the repairs. They probably would have done the repair for free but I wanted it done properly at the dealership so I paid extra to have the Toyota dealer do the work. This was unfortunate for all sides of the parties cause now we are ALL out more money than we anticipated, but in the end I was just grateful they atleast covered half the costs for the repair and didn’t leave me hanging like they could have.

Went to look at a car and test drive it. Came back and said I would like to purchase after negotiating an appropriate price. I was immediately told they don’t negotiate prices because of the pandemic and no other dealership would negotiate prices either. Absolute flat out lie! I was also offered a total low ball of a price for my current vehicle which is a clean title. Let’s just say I got $5,500 more than what they offered me from an actual DEALERSHIP! Place your business elsewhere would be my best advice 😊

I got a Transit Connect here and I cant believe how efficient the process was. I think I had the entire transaction complete in under 90 minutes including the test drive. Vic was really communicative and really helped when I had some followup issues. Ill be glad to work with Columbia when Im looking for a vehicle again.

In November 2019, I reached out to Columbia Motors in regards to purchasing a 2014 Scion TC from their lot. At that time I put a deposit on the vehicle and went to purchase the vehicle on November 30, 2019. This was a birthday gift for my daughter so I drove it from Portland and parked it in the garage. When we removed the sales sticker from the window we realized that they had put the sticker over a crack in the windshield to hide it. We didnt say anything because those are fairly inexpensive to fix. The sales experience was super easy. We gave the car to our daughter on 02/19/2020 for her birthday. When driving we can hear a knocking sound when braking. Again, we thought no big deal these are risks you take when you purchase a used vehicle so it was annoying but I understand. We took the car to Les Schwab yesterday 03/04/2020 to see if they can diagnose the knocking sound so we could fix the issue. At that time we were told that the dealer (whom put on new tires) had used the incorrect lugnuts when putting on the tires. They informed us that they couldnt take off the tires to diagnose the issue as the car was unsafe to drive as the tires could just fall off while driving. If a dealership knows a transmission for example is going bad and sells a used car as is, might not be ethically right, but it happens every day. The worst thing that will happen is the car will break down, however, this corner that they knowingly cut could have made the tires fall off while driving. This could have potentially killed one of us in a car accident. This is morally and ethically irresponsible! We had to purchase new tires ($800.00) and found that they left out the break clip that is the knocking we are hearing. The business has been contacted. Maks asked me to provide proof of our Les Schwab bill, which I did and still no resolve. I filed a Better Business Complaint and it was officially closed due to Columbia Motors not returning any of their correspondence. After months Maks finally reached out to me and scheduled an appointment to talk, which he didnt make it too and there have been no further attempts to reach out to me. Buyer beware! Corner have been cut on these vehicles to keep the cost down, and with my experience you do not know if the cost saving they did could hurt one of your loved ones.

I would prefer to give zero stars if possible. I would not buy a car from them again if my life depended on it. I bought a car in August and after explicitly telling them I had an address in a different state they used the address on my license that hadnt been changed. I gave them the correct address and they were to lazy to do it correctly the first time. It has been a full 7 months and I still dont have my title after they sent it to someone else and had to request a new one from the dmv. Every time I call which has been a lot, the wife who deals with titles is on vacation during a pandemic. This dealership is unprofessional and lazy. They could have called the dmv to find out what was going on but they instead gave ME a ups tracking number which of course was a dead end. The salesman are great and I feel bad their bosses are so lazy. The ownerand his wife have given me such a headache I have to take legal action in a different state to file for a lost title. This will be the 3rd title for this used car. They are not taking me seriously and I am over it and I plan to take legal action if nothing is remedied. I paid for the car in full when I got it and I want to register it and get plates. This is ridiculously maddening.

Just purchased a Mazda3 from here. We had a great experience. The people are honest, super chill, and dont pressure you at all. Although my car does have a rebuilt title, we could tell it had no issues when we drove it. We still got it checked out by our friend who is a mechanic (just to be sure) and there were no issues with it at all. It drives perfectly. I would highly recommend coming to this dealership. I love my new car, and will definitely be coming back when Im ready for my next one. And be sure to ask for Dima, he was very honest and super helpful!

I am very happy with my 1997 Toyota 4runner! Sometimes smaller dealerships have ridiculous prices and interest rates but Columbia Motors was extremely reasonable. Got a great deal and a great car. The guys working in there were professional and totally give you your space when youre inspecting and test driving their vehicles. I would definitely consider giving them your business!

I ended up having to use my warranty but thats why Im giving 5 stars. Yes the whole staff is really nice but they also were as transparent as possible. If you come here you might find that they use the word co-signer quite a bit. I believe its because they sell cars for people and take some kind of commission. The previous owner of my car set a good price but the history seemed shaky. They advocated for me and had the price lowered so I went through with it. I was a little distraught when a motor mount failed but they kept their word on an additional 30 days added to the warranty even though it was never written on paper. It was the right thing to do and I didnt even have to pressure them to fix it an no cost to me. Mechanics are not their strong suit by any means, but they make up for it with friendliness and integrity... On a separate note, they have taken the pandemic very seriously and even offered free face masks

I would give 0 stars if I could, these guys (Dimitri specifically) told me that they would hold the vehicle I was trying to finance until I got my financing figured out and then sold the car to someone else the very same day, they pursued and tried to get me into a car that was much more expensive than the one I intended on buying then straight up started ghosting me when I asked about other options. If you want to have a good car buying experience, I do not recommend this dealership.

TLDR; Columbia Motors was an incredible experience. They took care of us from beginning to end (and after), answered all our nervous questions regarding reclaimed title vehicles & were very up-front about their processes.Maks & Heather are the husband and wife team that run Columbia. They are wonderful people who genuinely care about their customers and the entire car buying experience. My wife and I were looking to replace our aging Mini Cooper. We wanted something with low miles that would be safe for the daily Portland commute. After looking over several dealerships we stumbled on Columbia quite by accident. One of their WRXs came up in a search with an amazing price. At first we didnt realize it was a reclaimed title (Columbia specializes in them) and started rooting through their inventory. When we discovered the nature of the title we were immediately scared away. To my DATED knowledge they were nearly impossible to get financing for, had dubious reliability (was it flood damage or just a fender bender?) and you could never sell them once you bought them. After some mulling my wife and I decided it couldnt hurt to go look. After we were greeted by the sales person on the lot he showed us around to all the WRXs they currently had. Afterwards that he let us browse at our leisure, no pressure at all. We found a very clean white one and were poking around, unsure. The salesman showed up after a bit with the keys (without prompting) and simply handed them to us. Take her for a spin, have fun. We were shocked. We went on a 20 or so minute test drive. Tooled around side streets, took it on the freeway. My wife fell instantly in love. After we returned we expressed our interest but also our reservations about reclaimed titles. He said he understood and asked if wed like to meet the owner, Max. We said yes.Maks is a younger gentleman, very cordial & genuine. He explained his process of vehicle selection, the repairs they go through and inspections prior to making it to the lot. He also explained how the reclaimed title business has changed over the last 10 years or so and how much easier it is to access information on the cars these days. You can simply look up auction photos for each car by their VIN and see the original damage, where it happened and how long ago it was. He sat with us for over an hour (stayed past closing) and chatted, answering all of our questions. He even brought up photos of the damage for the car we were looking at and discussed the pros/cons of the location and severity.Speaking as a very skittish car buyer I cant say enough how impressed I am with Maks and Columbia Motors as a whole. They are attentive, honest and very up-front about their cars. They will walk you through the entire experience and are very patient, even with the most neurotic of shoppers XD. They also stand behind their sales. We had a very minor issue and Max quickly dealt with it, giving us a loaner while he had the WRX back in the shop. When the time comes for our oldest daughter we will definitely be returning to make a purchase. Thanks Maks and Heather!

Bought a Honda Odyssey from them a few years ago and forgot to leave them a review. Had a fantastic experience. Vehicle is still doing great; never had an issue. Will definitely consider doing business with them in the future.

Had some minor issues with shipping but definitely took care of me when it came to purchasing the car. Maks and Heather definitely made buying the car worth it! Would buy from them again.
