Tanner Flats is the perfect distance from everything going on in the city, rarely do we hear police sirens or yelling, just the humming of the train. Its right on the edge of it all, making it a lovely walk to any restaurants or events! The amenities are awesome, they offer a lot to the residents. The roof top lounge is our favorite, it has a fantastic view! The walls are very thick and I havent heard a peep from any of our surrounding neighbors, it is exactly what we wanted. Quiet, relaxed living right next to the bustling city!

For the short amount of time I lived at Tanner I always felt welcomed and safe. The gym is a wonderful plus and they took all the safety precautions possible during COVID to allow residents to use that amenity. The roof view is stellar, it was my favorite to sit up there and watch the sunsets over the city. It was wonderful being able to hop of the MAX Line to zip to a food cart late at night. I really feel like I was able to live the Portland life to the fullest.I miss seeing Dallen and Connor in the office when I would come back from adventure always there with smiling eyes, cause of their masks, and a gentle wave. They were always attentive to my requests and the maintenance man, Steve, was always super friendly.

Although I was there for only a year, the staff and people who lived around me were friendly and welcoming. I only had to place a few work orders for minor fixes but regardless the size of the job, Steve(handy man), was great at communicating when the job will be done. The location is great for Stadium Events, Restaurant Dining, or small runs to the market. Overall, a great place and will be missed!

If you’re looking for a quiet, stable, and clean apartment then Tanner Flats is the way to go! The management team has been so professional and gracious, fast to fix any issues I have to boot! Very very pet friendly as well!!! This eco-friendly building is close to Burnside but far enough back to avoid a little more of the active city life and to me, it feels like the perfect blend!

Connor had been extremely helpful throughout my stay at Tanner Flats dealing with any issues swiftly and efficiently. Corridors were kept nice and clean and dealing with mail was easy. 10/10 would live again.

I moved into Tanner Flats a year ago. Connor and Dallen have always gone above and beyond to provide excellent service to all the residents. When I needed help from maintenance, Steve has done a great job keeping everything in working order. I highly recommend Tanner Flats!

I lived in Tanner Flats for about 15 months. Overall the experience was very positive, mostly due to the incredible staff. The move-in and move-out processes were simple, efficient, and clear. The building is well kept and the amenities (pre-covid at least) are a lot of fun to use.The only thing to be aware of is that this building has a lot of noise between floors. I was on the 3rd floor and was constantly able to hear my upstairs neighbor walking around. This is pretty standard in my apartment-living experience so I didnt make any complaints, but its something to be aware of if you are sensitive to sound.Thank you Tanner Flats team!

Had a wonderful experience living here. Connor, Warren, and Dallen in the office were absolutely fantastic and were a huge help moving during the pandemic and all through my time living there. Stephen from maintenance was always quick to respond and so helpful. Nice building too. TL;DR the on site staff are incredible and you should live here.

The former management company (Mill Creek) was fantastic. The best office staff Ive ever dealt with. Next day service was common for broken appliances, etc, super friendly, always helpful. Our experience with the new management company is a mixture of incompetence and an unwillingness to help.Example: when the building changed hands, the new company somehow lost records of what parking spot everyone has been renting (at $175 a month). Their approach to resolving this is a self-reported survey of parking spots from the residents. There have been cars parking in the wrong spots and they refuse to tow because they havent worked out a contract yet with the towing company. So people are just left without parking spots for days.This is just one example of many. All in all, everyone at the front desk seems like theyre at least trying their best except for the Jenna Rios (formerly with Affinity Management, where she also had a less-than-stellar track record) mentioned in another review - she has a real attitude problem.My advice - the location is great. But if youre choosing between Tanner Flats (who named this anyway? Its like a bad country song title) and anywhere else, choose anywhere else.

We moved into TF end of 2018. Both Warren and Natalie were incredibly helpful finding the apartment and holding it for us until we arrived from another state. The unfortunate occurrence on 2-2-19, I feel, was well handled. They did what they could to resolve it. The fobs on the walking entrant in the garage and on level B2 have been repaired. I say given the state of our current economy and environment, they are doing a great job!

Pretty quiet place. The building was completed in October of 2015, so everything is pretty new and modern. Overall, very pretty.Only potential qualm would be that of storage space in the kitchen. Between the four of us, it can be a bit limited. But it should also be considered that two couples are trying to share one kitchen space, which would inherently make it more cramped.Close to the MAX, the community room is nice to look at (I dont really use it personally) and the roof is nice in the summer time. These apartments are dog friendly. It is a Portland apartment, so rent can be what youd expect.Lovely place, wonderful management, maintenance is quick, but the place is so new i cant really imagine anyone calls in maintenance work too often. No real complaints here.

4/4/19 update: Im delayed in writing this update, as the local management timely and professionally responded to residents concerns. From my experience, they fully addressed all aspects of the concerns raised, including financial burden, and improving the security of the building with physical installations and increasing frequency of security staffing. These were addressed by management with respect and understanding. I wasnt sure if local management would be empowered to be able to fully resolve the matter. They were.Unfortunately, the security issues that these folks are talking about are the real deal. I lived most recently in major cities of Baltimore and Washington, DC, and the issues happening at this building are legit. I moved into Tanner Flats within the past 6 months, attracted by the rent specials and features of the building. Within these six months, I was the victim of an attempted carjacking while parked in the 15 minute spot right outside the management office at 9pm in September 2018. The man who attempted to carjack me by forcing himself into the back seat of my car was actually caught on the security video lounging and chillaxing on the sofa inside our building lobby. And then on 2/2/2019, I, along with about 20 or so other tenants had our car windows smashed as part of a massed crime incident inside the building -- and to be clear this occurred while our cars were parked in our (additional fee per month) assigned spots in the secured garage. I suspect what occurred in this incident is that someone was able to exit through the lobby, as the fob entry security doors have been broken for months without repair. While the management advises us to be mindful not to allow people to follow us into the building once we use our main door fob entry, tenants have told me they have had to fight to fend off and pull the front door closed because someone was forcing their way inside. So the short of it is that tenants here are being forced into the position of acting security for a property management agency who declines to adequately address the need. I now carry gel mace with me, I have never in my life before done so. The police officers who responded to write up the 2/2 mass crime report indicated there have been other problems at this location and they hope for the managements cooperation. It really is too bad, as by hiring an appropriate level of professional security, it is likely the current level of crime would be deterred. Otherwise, this is a really nice place to live and the staff here are super nice folks. I read reviews before I moved in which described what appeared to be petty crime. In the six months Ive been here, the crime appears to be of a more aggravated quality. Therefore, the current reliance on passive security measures, such as cameras or asking renters to fend off folks who are obviously seeking to gain access to the building, is clearly not cutting it. So the decision point is a question of how much does safety matter to you.

Honestly if you value the security of your family and want to feel safe in your home do not consider this apartment community. Sadly we were victims of the latest car break-in at Tanner Flats on 2/2/19. And we are also going to have to spend hundreds of dollars out of pocket for insurance and loss of our items along with the monthly parking we pay. What makes this so aggravating is the negligence of management regarding the building security. For months now there have been a rash of break-ins by transients who are often intoxicated and aggressive. We have had packages stolen from our front door and been accosted outside the building as we were entering. The community bathrooms are often filled with cigarette butts and drug paraphernalia. As other tenants have voiced we hope management will change its course, take responsibility for the cost of their negligence, and increase security immediately. Until then we also warn anyone considering this property as a residence to stay away as it is currently unsafe

The apartments are great but the management could care less about its residents.I had my car broken into in what was supposed to be a secure garage (2x gates) and this was after alerting security and management of suspicious person(s) entering the garage area. Even still the cameras were never turned on and the excuse was to blame the last management company even though it had been 6 months since the handover. Also there was an issue with break-ins and there are still no locks on the garage entrances into the building.Even as I right this another issue, I went down to management to notify them I was leaving on 5/19/18 there was never a mention of supplying a written notice until yesterday 5/22/18 when I received an email and Jennifer states she cannot bend the rules. Once you sign they dont care they just want your check.My advice is DO NOT RENT HERE!

1 WORD RUNFinally moving out since the new management took over March of 2017. Honestly, Madrona Ridge was a mistake all in all. If you lived here prior to March of 2017 you would know what I mean. Read the prior reviewsMilCreek Residential was polite, calm, friendly courteous, and made the place feel like home. The new property management team of Madrona Ridge can care less about its residents and its community.Jenna Rios is one of the biggest mistakes of a property manager Ive ever seen. Ask her a question or give a friendly hello and I guarantee she will look the other direction. I have never seen a property team show so much attitude and disrespect to its guests and current residents. Everything breaks down throughout the club house and residents have made multiple requests to have it fixed, yet still, these changes havent been made. These people are all about collecting their paycheck and going home at the end of the day.In my opinion as well as many others, please let go Jenna Rios and help the Madrona Ridge property management team move forward.

New management is horrible!!! When this place was owned by millcreek it was a great and friendly place to live. Ridge has the most unfriendly and money happy people imagineable. Changing ownership was a mistake. The blonde manager in the office is a real joke. Watch out for high prices and false promotions by new management. When I moved, half the building moved out with me
