The trees and location is beautiful and convenient. The quality and updates inside our specific unit, is lacking in some areas. However, I do enjoy the larger then average size and cheapness of the apartments. The staff is friendly and punctual. Staff have been doing renovations in other units, and then raising the prices for the units. I hope that they continue renovations in apartments that need it, if they are going to raise the prices.

Ive lived here for a couple years and really havent had any problems. The apartments are nice/up-to-date; sometimes I wish my place received a bit more sunlight but the amount of sunlight really all depends on which apartment you happen to get.I love the location in terms of relative proximity to downtown Portland, highway 26 access, and Cedar Hills Crossing. Everything is less than 10 minutes away (if youre not fighting traffic).All the maintenance people are friendly, including the leasing office staff. We have only had one issue with an overly loud neighbor but I feel the management staff handled it very gracefully and were attentive to our needs/concerns.All-in-all, I would definitely recommend (and have) to friends looking for an affordable housing option.

More than two years I have been staying here. Still an amazing place to live.The leasing office personnel are always cordial and helpful, over the years even with multiple management changes. The maintenance staff has been good and any issues have been resolved promptly and efficiently.

I called Cedar Hills Apartments home for 3 years. In the beginning it was 5 stars! I loved it there! The apartments are renovated and well taken care of, and the pool is so great in the summer time. The maintenance men really keep the grounds looking good, and were always quick to respond to any incidents. Also Susan in the office was a gem!Ultimately my reasons for leaving were due to the community laundry room (terrible if you live in one of the duplexes. Plus there aren’t enough for the amount of people who live in the community), the street noise from Cedar Hills Blvd/ HWY 26, and constantly seeing randoms walking around the parking lot late at night. Being a female, and living alone, the location of my unit didn’t feel secure or safe.All of that being said, I would recommend this place to someone who is looking for a well taken care of apartment, in a very central location to all things. There is a bus stop right in front of the complex, and a max up the street. Perfect for someone who commutes downtown.

I love living here and the security the building offers. Management is quick to answer my questions and with their hours changing and fitting my 9-5 schedule its become even better. Also the Maintenance crew is amazing always helping us out with everything!

The best place to live

This place makes me regularly wish I was homeless.

Weve only been here about a month but the staff is simply amazing. Every request has been attended to right away. Its quiet here. The concrete between floors helps with that. The laundry room is well appointed and clean. Plenty of parking. Cool design. Fun gnome. This complex had been under the same ownership since it was built and the manager has been here 16 years. That says a lot about a place. The pool is so clean and the club house is really great.

I lived here for six years through a great deal of remodeling and re-landscaping, none of which soured me on the complex. Although the exteriors of the buildings are nothing exceptional, the interiors are handsome and comfortable. I have never had any problem with neighbors or with bothersome noise. The location is ideal both for commuting (close to highways) and public transit (the #20 bus stops right outside and Sunset Max is a short walk away). The management and staff are helpful but unobtrusive, and the place is kept immaculate. Commonwealth Lake is just a short walk away for those who enjoy bird watching or the occasional otter or beaver sighting. I could not have been happier here!

Renovated apartments with plenty of parking, but the parking does run out! Easily accessible to the highway. If you happen to live on the third floor, well, its stairs for days, no elevator anywhere in the building.

I love living here! Its quiet and pretty.

Thetes a giant garden nome thats a little scarry..

My wife and I lived here for a little over a year - we loved it. The apartment was really nice, very clean, and its a well built place. The maintenance guys were good, friendly, and quick to take care of tickets. CHIC has a nice pool (deep too - 12ft if I remember correctly) and hot tub - both of which are spotless. It was really great to spend the summer evenings taking a dip in the hot tub =]Back when we lived there (2 years ago now) I dont think there were any reviews and now all I see are bad ones... I dont really buy it. The managers are a married couple named Kevin and Susan - theyre great. Susan is from Ireland and is completely delightful; Kevin is from the UK so he can be grumpy at times =P hah, all joking aside - Kevin is a good guy.Overall the apartments are wonderful... maintenance staff was excellent, parking widely available, nice neighbors... Im not sure what people are expecting, but I thought it was one of the nicer apartments weve lived at - and it didnt cost an arm and a leg!tl;dr: My wife and I loved our time @ chic and if we ever move back to Portland we know where were calling home =]
