Sanctuary is a great place to live. If you are looking for amazing views, amenities and tranquility. Sanctuary is the perfect place to be! The onsite team Katie, Brianna and Nancy were very helpful and made the move in process easy. Work orders are completed quickly and efficiently, best maintenance team around.

Now that I have officially moved I have to say that the team went above and beyond to ensure I had an amazing moving in experience with no issues. The apartment is beautiful and was super clean upon move in. Everyone has welcomed us with open arms, specially my family that flew in to help me get settled in.

I lived here for two years 2017 to 2019. And enjoyed the views and the community. I made many friends with whom I still stay in touch. I credit the onsite mgmt for intentionally creating opportunities for tenants to mingle and feel part of the community.

Leasing team makes fraudulent misrepresentations. They will tell you one thing, when it comes time for the lease, those terms will not appear in the lease and when you ask to amend the lease they wont do it. Additionally, appears there is ZERO guest parking. When I came to tour also, one of the access boxes was broken which they were COMPLETELY unaware of (shows they dont seem to monitor the building well). How would you like one of your guests to hike it over from the long distance any parking is available for them, to get attacked try and get to the call box and use it for help and it doesnt work. Do not recommend. I hope they get that fixed as a priority and I would hope they begin a process of being honest about the practices and terms of their lease. Additionally, their lease obligates tenants to things that go beyond the usual standards of law. If they wont amend the damages obligated to tenant to anything beyond reasonable wear and tear, dont sign with them. They have ambiguous terms that you are responsible for scratches. Scratches can be normal as part of reasonable wear and tear and tenants would not be responsible for them normally. By signing their BS lease, you are obligating yourself to it. Now if that scratch was obnoxious, like 12 ft long, that wouldnt be considered reasonable wear and tear. But they dont state that and my guess is when people check out they nickle and dime tenants over this stuff.

Sanctuary has been an amazing place to live as a resident. The community is lively and everyone is friendly. The apartment is located in a prime location as you are south of Downtown so away from all the bustling city activity, but close enough to experience as it is not too far. The neighborhood is very quite and is located right next to the Willamette River. I have lived here close to a year and have had nothing but great experiences from the management, support staff, and residents. The social gatherings put on by the property have been amazing and have allowed me to make new friends in my first year here in Portland. Whenever I have run into problems the maintenance and management have been quick to tend to it in a timely manner. Overall Sanctuary has been an amazing place to live the first year and look forward to my second year here.

RENTER BEWARE!You will be charged with $165 cleaning fee without warning. This was taken out of my deposit. They did not state in the lease or at any point of living here that there would be a cleaning fee at move-out. Carpet was brand new except for 1 year of me living there. Carpet was vacuumed before move out. I even emailed them with copies of the lease and the specifics of why a renter would get charged; nowhere does it state a generic cleaning fee at move-out.Living here was great. Awesome location. Lived on first floor of B building and it was mostly quiet. Could hear some noises through walls.

A wonderful place to live, beautiful views, peaceful neighborhood, and a great community.Parking is expensive but that seems to be true for most areas in the city and is manageable if you put in a little effort. The management has been nothing but helpful, quick response times and work with you to solve problems within their power and often give great advice for matters outside their control. Thanks to well organized social gatherings I have meet a lot of great people and have had a fantastic first year in Portland and looking forward to my second year here at Sanctuary.

***(All of this is my opinion and is based off my experiences here as a tenant at Sanctuary, actual numbers may vary)*** Besides the amazing view I really dont have much, or anything positive to say about this place. As others have said there is no designated visitor parking. The staff is not up to par, especially with how much rent is here. If you move in here be prepared to ask management multiple times to do almost anything (It took 3-4 attempts to have them send me an email to be put on the lease as I lived with someone else here and I wasnt on the lease at first, as well as asking them multiple other times for various other things). On top of that we had a roof leak in our apartment during winter and it leaked on top of our belongs and ruined some of our mail, just my luck. While management did repair this quickly, there have been many other times were they have not handled a situation as quickly as I believe it should have been handled. Also somehow my toilet cracked and flooded part of the bathroom before I became aware of the crack. It took 3 weeks, 3 WEEKS to fix this problem. While I can understand them having to order a toilet and wait for it to arrive they could have done more to help the situation. While paying over $2,000/month Im sure they could afford a cheap toilet from home depot or something of that nature to install while we waited for the correct one, or even taking part of my rent off for that, almost a, month I was without a correctly functioning toilet. If memory serves me right, the elevators have been broken more than 5 times since I moved in, and no that is not an exaggeration, its probably getting closer to a dozen times now where the elevators didnt function properly and you had to take the stairs to get to your own apartment. That plus the garage door not opening so I can park in the parking spot that I pay $150/month for are some of the many reasons I can NOT recommend this place to anyone. Then when you ask management about your problems they just like to argue as its their way or the highway. Maybe Ive just had really bad luck here, but in my many years of living in apartments have I had so many problems at one place, in fact pretty much all of the apartments Ive ever lived in Ive never had any major problems with the staff or building. I almost forgot to mention that the parking garage has been broken into multiple times and one of our cars was vandalized (window smashed) and burgled while we were asleep in out apartment as the building security is clearly not up to par. ***(All of this is my opinion and is based off my experiences here as a tenant at Sanctuary, actual numbers may vary)***

Sanctuary is a brand new apartment complex and it shows. The amenities and applications are all high tech and efficient. There is a fitness room and common spaces that are kept clean by the diligent staff. The rooftop patio is a must see and wonderful place to relax with book, tv (an outside tv!), BBQ, and/or watch the river. The complex encourages biking and public transportation but there is not nearly enough bike storage. The parking spaces are very narrow and different to manipulate. The overall rent is pricey too even for a studio. Its location cant be beat and is worth the price because of how close it is to the OHSU campus.

Management had decided to turn off the BBQ’s and fireplaces throughout the property due to “budget difficulties “. Apparently, due to budgeting constraints and people moving out, the building management has turned off all BBQ access to its tenants .
