Lived here for 3.5 years and loved every second! They do an incredible job keeping the apartment building clean, and maintaining the integrity of the building and individual apartments. The rooftop was one of my fav features with an incredible view with ample room for multiple groups to relax. The staff is very friendly yet professional, quick to respond, and helpful. And location is 11/10. I frequently walked to dinner, doctors appointments, and errands. IMO fairly priced for what you get. Dream apartment experience.

From the moment I inquired about the apartment I have experienced responsive and professional service from Patrick. He was always very timely in his responses and great with following up. Whenever I have an issue I know that I can count on him to help me out or point me in the right direction if he isnt the one to directly be able to solve the issue. Overall great management team. Great place to live

My wife and I absolutely love living at Cook Street. Weve been here for a year and a half and can say without reservation that all of the staff are great. A special shout out to Patrick and Sara in the front office. They are super friendly and quick to respond to questions and concerns. The maintenance team is wonderful. We have never waited long for a maintenance call to be resolved. Id give them six stars if that were possible. Thanks Cook Street!

I’m super happy with my time here at cook street so far. Patrick was so helpful throughout the move in process and he kept us informed every step of the way. The one bedroom apartment w/ den is perfect for me as I work from home and it’s nice to have a separate office! Also the neighborhood is perfect and every restaurant, brewery and grocery store you could ever want is a short walk away!

Being a part of the Cook Street community has exceeded my expectations. The amenities are always clean. The building is dog friendly and I love that they have a dog wash station. Everyone is so friendly and willing to help a neighbor out with checking on their pets in the case of an personal emergency (which has happened) or when theyre out of town for a bit. Honestly, the neighborhood is a bit sketchy but the community itself is very secure. Patrick and Sara goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and cared for. I absolutely love living here!

My husband and I just moved into Cook Street Apartments 2 weeks ago. This has by far been our smoothest move, in terms of the whole process of scheduling a viewing, application, and making arrangements for the move in. Patrick, our leasing agent, was very communicative and accommodating throughout the process of securing our apartment. He is attentive, quick to respond, and always accessible; we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I wandered into the building one day at the very beginning of an apartment search. I met Patrick right away and he was not only friendly and informative, he also gave me a great tour of the facilities and answered any questions I had through the application and lease process.I havent moved in yet; but, if the rest of the staff is half as attentive and put together as that, these apartments are a unicorn situation in Portland. Go check them out!

Fantastic, I would recommend it to anyone. Patrick was very helpful and welcoming, he made my move as easy as possible. The location is fantastic. The physical apartment was clean and well designed, with like new appliances. Its not too often you find an apartment with this much to offer so if its within your budget and fits your space requirements Id highly recommend checking out Cook St.

This was a terrible place to live. Expensive for what you get. Constant noise from trucks unloading at New Seasons through the wee hours of the morning. Then when we moved out at the end of our lease, we were slammed with a huge fee. It was my 83yo mother living there actually and I was cosigner. They told her she did not have to clean, then charged a $200 cleaning fee. They charged us full price for replacement of 3 blinds that were already 6 years old because a few slats were bent. I fought the charges, but they were extremely nasty about it and only came down a little. Nasty, backbiting management. Look elsewhere.

We just moved into Cook St yesterday. Our experience with Patrick, the leasing agent was above 5 stars. He is absolutely amazing. We moved from California and moving into a new place and area sight unseen is NERVE WRACKING to say the least. Patrick was with us 100% every step of the way and never was irritated or annoyed to answer any of our 1K questions we had. He always was either available to us or made sure to let us know who could help us when he is off. Everyone we have encountered have been pleasant and helpful as well. I have never had such a good experience moving anywhere. It always feels like you are working uphill but here it was like every thought and detail was considered and communicated to us. Moving in was a breeze with the reserved elevator, loading zone, and provided dolly and carts. Our apartment was even better than what we had seen via virtual tour. Prior to moving in, Patrick even went outside to take photos of the exterior to give us a better idea of the unit. Location is amazing and safe. Everything is super clean and the amenities (even though currently closed due to COVID) are awesome! We cant wait until they open and we are able to fully utilize the building. There is a coffee shop and vet clinic downstairs that give you a discount for being cook street apartment residents. I would recommend Patrick, this building and area to anyone!!

This review is not for the apartment as a whole so much as it is about Sara, the leasing manager. Not only did Sara sign my lease but she has gone above and beyond to help me in every single scenario I have approached her with. Any concerns that Ive approached Sara with have been met with excellent customer service, an understanding ear and supportive brainstorming to rectify the problem. Ive lived in several apartments in my lifetime and Sara is by far the most responsive and helpful apartment employee Ive ever come across.

We feel incredibly lucky to have found Cook Street Apartments. Our leasing agent Patrick went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable in our decision to move from California during the uncertainty of covid-19. From the virtual tour to our move-in day, we have been delighted at the professionalism at Cook Street. As for complaints about noise, we are directly facing New Seasons and havent noticed any noise outside of the realm of the ordinary. Saying this, we can see how it might be a problem for those who are not early risers, as those delivery trucks start unloading at the crack of dawn. With the modern look of the apartments, upbeat neighborhood, and friendly neighbors we hope to live here for years to come.

Cook St is a wonderful apartment building! Great staff. Great location. Close to public transportation. Pet-friendly. Not only do they have a Mud Bay located downstairs but there is a new Vet clinic opening soon on the same floor. New Seasons is right across the street and theres a handful of restaurants and stores within walking distance (including one of the best restaurants in town, Eem!). Its a win/win over here.

We loved living here! The amenities were fantastic, location was great. Lots of places to walk to, right on a bus line, close to the freeway, its perfect! The biggest downside was the noise level from New Seasons, theres no way to keep a window open during the night because of the noise from the deliveries at 4 in the morning every night, and the loud crashing sound of glass from the recycling. The apartment was really warm all the time (even in winter - we rarely used the heat!), so we wished we could have opened a window. We were interested in upgrading to a 1 bedroom from a studio, but the storage just wasnt enough (1 closet in the 1 bedroom, but 3 closets in the studio?). We have decided to move to a new building with more storage, but loved our time at Cook Street! Its really a beautiful building full of friendly people, we will miss it!

Ive only been in this unit for about 2 months, but love it so far. The location is fantastic firstly. The building itself is very modern and nice with a really fabulous rooftop patio and community room. The staff is very friendly and helpful(including the cleaning ladies) and they seem to care about resident experience which wasnt quite my experience at my last apartment complex. Its a very good value in a great area. One of my favorite things is there really seems to be a sense of community within the building and that is very much appreciated. Also, theres tons of cute dogs running around which is an A+ in my book. Rent and utilities payment is done through a very convenient resident portal as well. All around a really fantastic experience so far.

Great place to call home! Super location close to everything. Great neighborhood restaurants and shops. The Pearl district is right across the bridge. Great for dogs too. Ive never noticed any messes that a previous review seemed to have trouble with (?) 3 nice parks in walking distance. Mudbay Pet shop right downstairs! Nice roof deck and common spaces. Very well maintained. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I have a large dog and he has always felt welcome here. The response time for maintenance is super fast and also, dog friendly!

I have lived here for almost half a year and love it. My only complaint - and possibly reason enough to look elsewhere - is the loud banging noise coming from New Seasons every night around 3 AM. After first trying earplugs and white noise headphones, I finally have been able to sleep through most nights after purchasing a fan that I blast on its highest level right next to my bed. Leaving a window open on summer nights will be out of the question. It’s such a shame, because otherwise it’s a great place to live. Wonderful location, people, and amenities.

Lived here for two years. Everything about this place is first rate. The attention to detail the staff enact everyday is pretty remarkable. Even the small things, like cleaning the elevator everyday, make the place immaculate. They are always looking to make the experience better too. The awesome roof-top patio with was just refurbished with irrigation for added plants. Daughter and I used to make smores on the roof at the gas fire-pit, which is welcoming place for the whole Cook Street community to meet each other. Great community room on the roof too. It is a very safe and secure place also. Id highly recommend it.

My husband and I lived at Cook Street for nearly three years and loved it there. The convenient location, apartment and bldg. amenities, and building staff made it one of our best renting experiences ever. We moved away because we bought a house but certainly dont regret having lived there. Naturally, there were normal drawbacks: we had an upstairs neighbor that we could hear walking around; without assigned parking, it seemed like a wild west free-for-all but we always found a space, even if it took awhile. The maintenance staff were always really on top of our requests and we loved working with both Sara and Miles- they made it a welcoming community where we never felt isolated but rather we always felt like wed become friends and continued to make more the longer we were there.

I have lived at cook street for just about a year now and have no complaints. The building is in a perfect location as it shares a lot with New seasons and is a short walk to many restaurants and bars. Myles truly made our apartment quest FUN! Beyond that, we felt as though we were truly heard with what we were looking for with moving and the special needs we have - Myles professionalism pairs well with his natural ease and ability to anticipate how to move smoothly through to the next step. The apartment website and photos accurately match the real-life tour experience and Myles took us to multiple apartments until we found the one that truly felt like home when we entered (it was the third one).We are so thrilled to have had this experience and to have found such a wonderful community.

Cook Street Apartments didnt end up being a best fit for us, but because of our experience with Myles Glover, we decided we had to leave a review.Overall, the apartments were well appointed, light-filled, reasonably spacious and shared spaces that were both functional and beautiful. As a disclaimer of sorts, Myles and I share a last name, though were neither related or socially connected.Myles treated my wife and I with great hospitality and transparency. We had been looking at properties for about a month and had come across other property managers who left us with a dread for any future interactions. Myles was specific in his responses to our questioning, presented the apartments that most suited our requests and happy to acknowledge and work with our specific hopes without any pressure. Our experience of Cook St Apartments was fantastic thanks to Myles.

Had a very pleasant experience with Sara. I made her show me apt after apt, up and down the elevators - back to the first one, hmm...now, back to the model...you get it. I have been living here since November of 2017, and am absolutely loving it! Not only are the staff extremely helpful, theyre also knowledgeable about the property and the surrounding area. They have answered any question I have had, and addressed any problems too. The building is always clean, its pretty quite. Things can get busy in the parking lot since were across from new seasons, but generally very happy with the area. Tons of stuff to do; bars, restaurants, shops, food trucks- and the building is close to very popular tourist destinations. Parking is also a relatively low fee compared to other buildings.

My minority spouse moved in this apartment complex and lived there for 15 months under a 15 month lease in a brand new apartment. During her stay here, she endured several events that a normal (white - colonized) tenant probably wouldve never endured in this so-called prestigious complex. First, she offered to pay rent two months ahead of time just to be ahead of bills and the management team would not accept it. The unit that she moved into had A/C that didnt work where she paid extra per month to have as a guilty pleasure. After reporting it a month prior to the peak of the summer season, it took 45+ days to repair where they took an A/C unit from a vacant unit and finally replaced it. This couldve been done from the beginning stages of the report. There were also several complaints put in through email and phone about the neighbor above who would play loud music past midnight to where every lyric could be heard as if it was communicated through a face to face interaction. No action was done from management to acknowledge the 5 complaints, but it had to be resolved personally by a confrontational door knock conversation. I personally had to be put on her lease becuase I stayed there for 3 months during the summer and the management team wouldnt take me off once I left because they thought her credit was too low at a score of 756. The elevator would work occasionally with a surprise dog urine puddle sloshing around waiting to be stepped in upon entrance. The stairs would occasionally have canine feces and human vomit randomly placed for viewing pleasure and aroma. Upstairs in the common area, random people (not tenants) would be sleeping and utilizing the space that residents pay for and want to relax in. Once a quarter, the garage door breaks for 48 hours leaving vehicles, bikes, elevators exposed to the public which isnt so bad until hearing a jingle or rattle of your apartment door handle which occasionally happens. Herbal Smoke from our neighbors would creap in through the door and window cracks and wake us up at night. In regards to good management- Nicki and Myles had great customer service while living there, but it may seem that after a lease is signed, customer service from other staff members vanishes. The price for this place is not worth it in comparison to down the road. Do yourself a favor and pass on it and Dont believe the hype if there is any. - Above all, dont give in to gentrification. Moving there is kicking out the long standing people who call that neighborhood home. If we could go back in time, we wouldve chose somewhere else.
