This Dollar General is like most Dollar Generals around the country. If you are in the area and need that last minute item that you forgot at the big supermarket then this is your store. There is a pretty good chance that they have it here.

This is the first time I have been in this particular Dollar general and it is twice as big as the one by my house, which was nice. I like going here because its quick, most of the time, and cheap.

I realize this is a convenience store but when a box of stove top stuffing cost $1.99 and I can get it 5 mi away for $1 thats not convenient. Ill travel the 5 MI

Woman at register on Friday, August 23rd at approx 12:00 noon was very rude. My girlfriend wanted ask her a question on where something was and she snapped that she was not going to answer her until she was done with the customer at the register. It was a simple question but she could not be bothered. Woman needs to learn to multitask. Lost her business and mine. Not going to give money to a company that has staff with that attitude

New management has turned this location around. It is cleaner and well organized with helpful staff. A kid named jordan was particularly helpful.

So many products, especially name brands! Although, with some food items I do choose Clover Valley over a name. Quality is stellar and the taste is scrumptious. The clerks are highly knowledgeable in both product location, more than efficient skills in operating procedure and in mannerly customer service. Love this site and highly recommend.

The Dollar general on south catherine at is horrible...You can never get through the aisles...there is constantly merchandise on big steel cart things all over the place and the store manager is always yelling and threatening the people that work there..there was even a conversation of her and another female associate having relations in the office

I go here when I need something small and dont want to run into the big stores

My wife had her wallet stolen from a cashier here. Her name was Courtney Thomas. This same cashier also tried to steal a friends cellphone that got left in the store. Cashier stated she didnt see it but when our friend tracked it and set off the alarm on it she had it on her person. The cashier has been fired and a police report made but this Dollar General has not offered to compensate us in the least for the money that was stolen from us. Maybe they should do better background checks and drug screening because this girl is a known drug addict in our area.

Do yourself a favor and go to Dollar Tree or any other Dollar type store but steer clear of this place.I had my son go in to purchase a simple tube of crazy glue and the cheapest was over $3.00. I told him to forget it and was waiting for my wife to get back to me to see if she wanted anything else. I was also making several other phone calls to people regarding the birth of my grandson.Even though I am handicapped and have a parking permit I didnt want to take up the space so I parked in the furthest spot facing Stewarts so as to be out of the way. After about 25 minutes and the lot only having 4 cars in it a woman came over and started yelling at me saying that I had to leave the lot because a person had complained that I was there for an hour and taking up a spot. Meanwhile there were only 4 cars there. She then stated I had to leave or she was calling the cops .I asked if I had done anything wrong which she responded No but you still have to leave. At no time did she tell me who she was and had no type of I.D. or any type of markings showing her to be an employee of the store.At that point I just assumed that by her disheveled appearance and irrational behavior she must have been some local vagrant just out to break chops especially being the lot was empty and the fact that she stated a customer saw me for over an hour and complained which would have meant they were there for over an hour to and she wasnt complaining about them. After a few minutes I asked my son to go into the store to make sure this individual wasnt a worker. To my surprise not only was she a worker but she was the store manager named Dawn and she stated she already had the Police on the way. At that point being a retired Police officer myself I knew not to leave so as not to look guilty of any crime as she never identified herself and there are no signs regarding loitering. When the officer arrived I explained to him what had happened and that I thought the woman was a vagrant because I never imagined a worker never mind a manager representing a big chain like Dollar General would act in such a unprofessional manner.I told him if she would have identified herself in the first place instead of acting like an out of control E.D.P. I would have left the empty parking lot immediately. The officer jokingly said I should go next door to Stewarts because they were a lot nicer there.He also noted that i was parked out of the way in the corner and that other then his car and mine there was only one other car and I was correct in noting that there were no signs stating customer parking only ,loitering or time limit restrictions regarding parking He then thanked me for being so understanding and I left to go to Dollar Tree to get my tube of $1.00 glue. I plan to contact Dollar General Corporate Office and file a formal complaint with them regarding Dawns irrational behavior. Follow Up: I recvd a phone call the next day from the Director of Store Operations for N.Y. Mr. Abernathy who assured me that the Managers actions did not reflect Dollar Generals high Corporate standards that they set for their employees and that the Manager in question had already been spoken to and that the matter was going to be scrutinised so as to assure it didnt happen again. He further assured me that at no time did I break any laws pertaining to parking in their lot. After seeing how this was handled and that people like Mr. Abernathy are at the helm i am very glad to see Dollar General expanding into our neighborhoods. I would also add that after the quick response to my initial problem i would like to change my initial 1 star rating to a 5 star for the excellent customer service i was given. I only wish more companies could model their customer service policies after Dollar General

Not a bad store. Its in a decent area and is brand new. The staff seem slightly under-trained, but theyll hopefully get better.

I want to give 0 stars but cant. I went here to buy Polident denture adhesive which I purchase often for my household. They had the gold and white package which I normally purchase in a two box package for around $9.00 at Walmart. What these thieves had done was separate the packages and were trying to sell each box for $9.00. When I expressed my displeasure the manager was very abusive and told me to leave the store. When I told her how I felt about that she threatened to call the cops. Will be submitting a formal complaint to DG corporate and also to the state for pricing fraud.

Went here to get a few more Halloween nick nacks. Things were fairly messy. This section was pretty unorganized and stuff was thrown around.

It was clean and the staff was very nice and talkitive.

Even though I live in the area this is not the Dollar General I will shop in. Too bad as We looked forward to this store coming. The storm was a complete mess. There were things all over the floor, shelves were dusty and it was just terrible. These stores could use more employees. Preferably someone who cares about how the store looks and runs

I have been les then a handful of time to a Dollar General... not impressed! You can only get the coupon prices by giving all your information, so you do and then they keep asking for it. I went to today and the woman behind the counter was rude and impatient. There was no one else around, I could not figure out how to get the coupon for 2$ off and she was no help at all... pretty sad that this big chain with bad service is going to put our local great shops out of business. Buy local at least at the market they know us and are willing to help with anything. This dollar general has no idea what community is, it’s a sad time for our neighborhood.

Its nice to have stores a round for low income people the prices are fear and they have all most every thing that Wal-Mart has but at Dollar General u will all ways go home with more then you would at Wal-Mart
