So happy to be a member at Evolutionary!! The gym is so clean and members are nice and give you a sense of community. There are machines for anything you would like to do and the gym is large enough to properly social distance. They provide plenty of sanitizing towels and members do a great job at respecting the area and eachother by wiping down machines before and after use.

Spotless, no wait time for machines, great selection of machines, Dave is super friendly and responsive!

Great Gym,clean and not too crowded whenever I go.Injured knee and have many different machines, equipment that I can use for rehabilitation and strength.

I am new there. I like it. Seems very clean nice equipment and I like to go when it’s not to jamed all around nice place nice setting good equipment.

Overall just a great gym. I was a member here for more than 3 years and have never experienced a single issue. It is well-maintained, thoroughly clean and (my favorite part)never overly crowded. I was there 5 days a week and I can count on one hand the number of times Ive ever had to wait for equipment. The owner and staff are professional and courteous and will take care of any issues promptly. Highly recommended.

I cancelled my membership by sending in a Certified letter as requested. I understood that I would be charged for 1 more month because of the timing. However, I was charged beyond that. I contacted the gym, spoke to someone directly, then emailed a copy of my return receipt and yet 2 months later, still have not been issued a refund of the money that is rightfully owed to me. Bryan, the Membership Director, confirmed via email on July 21, 2017 that this would be refunded and sent to me. Still nothing.

I was a member for 2 years, and had to leave due to change in employment. The gym was consistently clean and well maintained. The staff is excellent - both courteous and professional. None of the typical run-around that can be found at big-name gyms.

Decent gym from a convenience standpoint. I wish they were more diligent about cleaning the facility because it’s kind of gross. They don’t have any squat racks and not enough mirrors.

We go to this gym and have never had a problem. It is clean and well maintained. The owner is training my son and he has improved leaps and bounds from where he started in a short period of time. The staff is very friendly. I would highly recommend this gym.

Best health club I have ever used in over 30+ years of joining health clubs. Wished I had joined years earlier. The scenery here is beautiful at the RIDC campus, the machines look out to the trees. This is like a private, exclusive , corporate 500 health club but open to the public without the stress and hassles and car break in-s and car dents you would get in a stressful, unsightly, hurried, rushed, traffic-clogged, uncomfortable shopping center location health club. No blaring music, free wifi for me to listen to my own music or watch internet movies. Tons of parking very close to the health club door. If you are looking to reduce stress and want a peaceful, chilled out, serene, picturesque health club environment this is the health club to join. Love this place, an outstanding idea to put a health club at this location. With the hilltop location they should put up an antenna for free tv no need for cable tv here. They could use some windows that open for when the weather is nice. Windows are the greenest way to ventilate a building or bathroom. Beautiful area. Feels exclusive and relaxed not cheap, hurried and uncomfortable.I wouldnt take a Planet Fitness membership for free with their poor shopping center locations. Does not feel stressful going here so I go much more often than I did at other health clubs and I do not feel burdened going here. Because of the surrounding grounds this is a little like being in a green space and I do not feel pressured to hurry up and exercise and leave like I did at other health clubs.Everything looks new and barely used. Every machine I could possibly want. Phenomenal idea to put a gym here instead of in a stressful shopping center. When i signed up everything was fast and efficient but nothing was hurried and I wasnt asked any noxious questions such as What are your goals and what are you hoping to accomplish here? when I simply wanted a chilled out gym to exercise in and feel chilled out in.If you are looking for a stress-free, hurried-free health club to join to relax and chill out in and enjoy a picturesque setting this is the club to join..

Super convenient being right in RIDC park. Nice equipment, 24/7 access, clean, and friendly staff. Best of all, it is never crowded.

Basically I love this gym. You see Ive been a member of all the big clubs around here like LA, Planet and Golds but this place is different, its Nice, new and CLEAN!! Plus its not overcrowded and I can always get on a machine.All the people, both members and staff are nice, clean and very friendly too!Believe me when I was thinking of joining there I read all the reviews too and ya know what when I compared to the rest of the gyms out there to this place I found out it ROCKS! No joining fee and a 30 day notice to cancel, seriously you guys stop wining about having to give a notice, all the others require that or more. I use the club everyday and I get results... Funny thing, its like a poor carpenter blaming his tools!! :)

This gym is a rip off - and its money grubbing. Poor cleanliness and hygiene top it, but they dont pay attention to suggestions or complaints about these things. There is mold and hair in drains and on tiles in showers and dirty stains in the mens dressing area. Ventilation is poor. There are overtones of power chemical cleaners we can smell, that sicken me during workouts... Reports from past employees we loved report awful conditions. There is almost never a manager there. I was injured on a bike that was not maintained, and the equipment isnt even mounted to the floors. The desk staff is rarely present. And management does not respond to inquiries. This gym has gotten progressively worse, in my experience, since it opened and the original passionate owner, Rich, left. Watch it on the contract - they dont even provide you a copy of it... and there are demands in the contract like evergreen renewal, etc. apparently. We cannot even get a statement on request... We are complaining to the BBB...

Hello All! After reading these negative reviews I cannot understand nor have witnessed any of these allegations to be true. I have been working out at numerous gyms in Pittsburgh, Columbus and Los Angeles, - Alexanders, Webbs Fitness, Iron Works, Worlds Gym, Golds Gym, LA Fitness. This is the nicest and cleanest gym out of all that I have experienced in 25 years!The equipment and machines are top notch! For what I pay I get more than at other Gyms. Twenty Four hour access and even a TOWEL! Who gets a towel in their membership people!! So if you are looking for a private intimate Gym with no crowds, I highly recommend Evolutionary Fitness!

Im highly interested in joining but all these complaints about the billing system are just crazy!. I also see that the people that gave the gym 5 stars are the ones that are still members and have not gone through the whole cancellation ordeal. I would definitely join if the policy changed. I think Ill keep looking elsewhere till then. Im actually writing this right in front of the Gamma location. I was almost about to walk in and join until I read these reviews.....shame.

Bunch of idiots running this place. Problems from day1. No coordination and communication what so ever. Their automatic charging from your bank account is absolutely messed up. They charge double and sometimes triple. And a lady called Lucy I spoke with today over phone has been absolutely a nightmare to talk with to discuss the discrepancy. Very rude and no politeness. She puts you on hold, disconnects the phone while she keeps you waiting. Absolutely arrogant. I wanted to cancel my membership so handed over a letter at the front desj. No response from any one for 15 days. Called back to check. No one cared. The guy running this place has no idea whatsoever how to run a business. He is very responsive when you send an email to open an account. But never responds if you have any issues or want to close an account. Gym equipment is good. But its freezing in there during winter and dark at the free weights zone. Winter mornings are terrible.I have seen people work out in layers of clothes. If you can find a different place to work out, then stay away from this place. This place survives because of the money they get from silver sneakers because aged folks have no other place in the neighborhood to get some old age physical training.

I wish I could give Zero Stars! DO NOT JOIN!! Read the fine print because they scammed me out of my hard earned money. Why did I pay a yearly maintenance/upgrade fee? None of the stationary bikes ever work or are replaced. I was told they were adding a cross-fit area when I joined two years ago. Obviously, that never happened. The Gym towels are gross and are never replaced. I guess it doesnt matter that much because who would take a shower in that disgusting, fecal ridden, slippery shower!? You are truly a snake Dave. Have fun ripping people off for the rest of your life, you loser.

They continue to charge my husbands credit card even after he quit the club. My husband canceled his membership here last summer. We started reviewing our credit card statements together only to find out that in October of last year evolutionary fitness started charging his credit card for membership again even after he quit in June. These people are crooks, dont ever give them your credit card number.

Do not join this gym. Their billing system is atrocious! I was double billed more months than I wasnt! Then when you try to speak with the billing administrator, Lucy Klinko, she gives you attitude and is unwilling to help. Its so bad to the point where I asked her if she could tell me when she worked next so I could physically come in and square away my account and her answer was I dont know. Please tell me what responsible adult doesnt know their work schedule. This place is a joke. Had the same issue when I cancelled I was double billed for the last months payment and the annual service fee (which by the way they dont tell you about when you sign up and its written in size 2 pt font on their contract). Then they told me they were going to send a refund check to my house, it never came. Its at the point where I had to file a BBB claim against them. If you want to avoid a lot of hassle, stay way from Evolutionary Fitness.

I joined this club 6 months ago. The staff is very friendly, price is affordable, equipment is modern, they just replaced all the spin bikes and the instructors give a good workout. I am on auto pay and have not had any issues. The gym is CLEAN I never noticed any smell of cleaning products. I go to the club 5 days a week. The mens shower floor can be slippery at times from people not keeping the shower curtain inside the shower but if you tell the staff they quickly address the issue. I would recommend anyone looking to join a gym in the area to visit Evolutionary fitness. They offer a free 7 day guest pass

Closed at 11:38 despite it being posted that it closes at 1. Horrible customer service!!! Called 2 hours before my arrival inquiring on gym prices. Was told to leave my name and number and they would call me back, never happened! Im traveling to Maine from Colorado and stop at gyms along the way. I would never return to this place and would not recommend this place to travelers or those in the area.

Ive been going to the gym for 6 months now. I started as a YMCA member, then transitioned to Planet Fitness and have been using membership trials at various local gyms for the last month. I feel I have ample experience when comparing Evolutionary Fitness to other facilities and am happy with the educated choice I made.First and foremost I chose EF because of proximity. A mile away from home and .7 away from work. I also get a discount because I work in RIDC park.Most smaller gyms today are on an even level. They all have nice equipment, 24 hr access and personal training. EF has met all these requirements. Additionally it has a nice new facility, nice locker rooms and showers. Soon they will be adding an outdoor fitness area, extremely unique in my opinion.The deciding factor here was my experience while using my free trial. The gym was never crowded, always clean, never waiting on a machine. I received a phone call from one of the employees, Brian, to tell me about a way I could save money on my membership. This was a unique experience in personal gym care. Never have I received his type of assistance from a gym. I signed up that day.Coming from Planet Fitness, the wall mart of gyms I was deprived of free weights and couldnt deadlift. To me it wasnt like deciding if I wanted to eat McDonalds for dinner (planet fitness) or cook a organc home cooked meal (evolutionary fitness). Well worth the few extra dollars spent a month compared to Planet Fitness. Worth noting EF is on par for pricing compared to all other local gyms Ive visited. I would recommend this gym to anyone.
