Emily, Paul and the rest of the team at Marvista are absolutely first class. From design to build the experience was outstanding, only topped by the finished product itself. They took the time to understand my needs, my style and my preferences and ultimately translated all of those elements into a truly beautiful and unique space...admittedly working from an equally bland and uninspiring space. In the end, they designed and built a bathroom that captured the home’s personality perfectly, while introducing much improved functionality as well. The definition of a five-star performance.

The Marvista team did a great job helping us to design a new walk-in closet in a difficult to work with space. We are very happy with the final project and the team was very responsive as the project moved along as little issues came up.

I originally had planned to use another contractor to remodel my kitchen/family room, Im so glad I went with Marvista instead. It was a major remodel. My old kitchen/dining room was transformed into a single large kitchen plus we several other major improvements to the main floor. The entire team was wonderful. We hit several delays due to COVID, but it was worth the wait. Paul was an excellent project manager and kept me up to speed on everything. Emily is a fantastic designer, she really helped to maximize the space and ensure my new kitchen is beautiful and functional. The team on site was always courteous and professional and made sure things were done right. The compliments continue to roll in. I would highly recommend Marvista. Thank you Michael and company!

We had our entire kitchen and nook remodeled completely. Marvistawas a wonderful partner in this project. They worked with us in the planning stage and helped us envision our kitchens potential. The project included;totally gutting the kitchen and removing bulkhead, floor tile, wallpaper and doors. Through out the project they kept the rest of our house clean, as they sealed off areas where they were working. They were always receptive to our ideas and minor changes. The finished project is wonderful and my wife and I enjoy it every day. Very nice people to work with. Highly recommend!!!

We hired Marvista to do a pretty extensive job – complete gut of our kitchen and master bath and updates of our living room, stairwell/foyer, guest bath and laundry room. The job was complicated and fairly upscale but whenever there was an issue like appliance fitting in or cabinets, the Marvista team solved the problem. That’s why you hire a design/build firm instead of doing it yourself. A little bit more money but you get it done right. We were very happy with the cabinet, counter top, wall, fireplace materials suggested by Emily and furniture selection (we refurnished our living room) by Lindsay and the overall design by both women. Paul (project manager) and Michael (owner) were always there to answer questions and oversee the process and the lead carpenters/tilers/electricians/plumbers, Mike and Matt were first rate. There wasn’t a single issue they couldn’t figure out. One of the advantages of Marvista is most of the labor is in-house and not third party contracted so there were workers there most days. It was completed in the time frame pretty close to what we originally hoped and targeted. Marvista also has a great relationship with Don’s Appliances and when we didn’t like the original range we ordered, Marvista worked with Don’s to take it back at no cost to us (we did buy another range from them). And unlike the previous reviewer, we paid them a design fee up front which was credited to our project cost once we engaged them. Overall, it was a quality experience unlike when we redid a kitchen and master bath at our previous house in Sewickley that went on and on for months.

From the first meeting with Michael, Emily and Paul, to the last day of renovation of our kitchen/great room renovation, nothing could have went smoother. Everything turned out beautifully, from the installation of our shiplap backsplash, and hood, to the beautiful LVP planking covering the entire main floor of our newly renovated, ranch style home in Thornburg, PA.What I think I appreciated most is their expected timeline and the way the STUCK to it. The whole project was finished within the expected six week timeline and in the renovation world, that is almost unheard of.I cannot wait to work on another project with the Marvista team!Thank you Marvista,Ruth Mackin

I hired Marvista to do pretty extensive renovations on our living room and kitchen. They installed built-in bookcases in the living room and added recessed lighting. The kitchen was gutted and completely renovated (recessed lighting was installed as well). The work they did exceeded expectations:1) They brought in a designer who helped us lay out exactly what we wanted.2) The quality of the materials (wood bookcases and kitchen cabinets) is top-notch. We got what we paid for.3) The craftsman who installed the wood bookcases and kitchen cabinets is a true artist. He completed the work a year ago, and to this day we have never found a single mistake in workmanship. Pretty remarkable.4) The electrician did a phenomenal job of installing recessed lighting. Again, no glitches or mistakes.5) When they accidentally installed a sink that was too small, they replaced it with the correct size, no questions asked. This impressed me. Every home remodel will have mistakes. A good contractor has integrity and fixes those mistakes. Marvista proved that they were trustworthy and had integrity.6) The price for the remodel was very fair. It wasnt cheap, but top-notch work is never cheap. They told us exactly how much it would cost at the beginning and they kept to it.7) The work was completed within a reasonable time frame. They worked on the project everyday and didnt leave us hanging.Excellent work!!!!!

I contacted Marvista Kitchen and bath to get a quote for a 15” linen closet and 60” double vanity in white. I informed them I had the drawer/shelving configuration I wanted quoted and that only the front and one side would be exposed. At that time I was informed that it would be $300 to get a quote for those cabinets. I understand that it takes time to do a quote, but when many others are willing to do a free quote and I don’t need design services, I found the fee of $300 to be outrageous. Having been ripped off before on folks charging for quotes then giving such a high price you wouldn’t go with them, not worth it. Even worst - that amount wouldn’t have been credited if I went with them. If you are starting from scratch on a kitchen, I get it, you need a design. I needed an estimate, not a design and to require a $300 design fee when not needed, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. Posting this review so that others who just need a quote don’t waste their time.

Marvista recently completed an extensive kitchen and master bath renovation in our home which entailed a large addition to the back of the house. We approached this project warily, having witnessed the nightmares incurred by family and friends who endured home renovations in the past. Our experience could not have been more positive! The company provided a smooth “one stop shopping” experience that spared us from the headaches of having to personally deal with obtaining permits, finding subcontractors, etc. They masterfully managed every detail from the architectural design to the smallest finish element. From our first consultations with Michael Jacobs, the owner of Marvista, Emily, their designer and Paul, the project manager, our experience was delightful. The coordination of the project, the quality of the workmanship and the trustworthy nature of every person in the company was noteworthy. There were no surprises and very few glitches. Any issues that did arise were quickly resolved to our satisfaction at no extra cost. The designer, Emily, “got us” from the start and skillfully blended traditional elements of our 100+ year old house with the best of modern design and functionality, resulting in a smooth flow from the existing rooms into a spacious kitchen/entertaining area. Her bathroom design was equally impressive, combining elegance with simplicity, creating both a sleek and warm, inviting space.Paul’s coordination of the project was amazing. He was on site everyday and always available when we contacted him. He monitored the work of the Marvista crews as well as the subcontractors and kept the project on schedule. His knowledge of every detail of the construction was reassuring and he always focused on our convenience and comfort.Michael, our cabinet installer and lead carpenter, was an extremely skilled craftsman whose work was precise and masterful. He supervised a hardworking, capable, and courteous crew.In summary, if you are contemplating a home renovation, look no further than Marvista. We endorse their work without reservation.

Could not have asked for a smoother process and could not be happier with the end results. Marvista’s remodel of our entire first floor included new wood flooring and a complete gut and remodel of our kitchen. They work with you from design idea through actualization with so much knowledge, experience and patience and so much attention to detail. They didn’t leave until we were happy with every part of the project. I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone wishing to make their design dreams come true!

Kitchen+ Renovation Scope -Marvista Kitchen & Bath completely gutted and doubled the size of our kitchen. In parallel with the kitchen renovation they replaced a bay window with a bay door, opened front staircase, added new lighting and hardwood flooring throughout 1st floor.Overview -In short, our livelihood has improved dramatically as a result of our upgraded home.Marvista does a masterful job of leveraging talented individuals from many trades and training to form a wonderful team that is committed to make the customer happy.Team -After her initial visit to our home, it was clear that our designer, Emily, was a great listener and a true professional. She captured everything in her plans that we were hoping to gain with our new kitchen. She kept the charm while completely modernizing all areas of the new space and suggested varying materials, colors, and cabinet solutions which we would never have considered. It was a joy to see her inspiration come to life.Just like everyone else that we met from Marvista, our lead craftsman, Mike, was only interested in us being entirely satisfied with the job. Every decision was anchored with, The only thing that matters is that you guys are happy with this.... He, like Emily, was also a great listener. We never once got the feeling that our many questions were upsetting him or keeping him from completing a task. Hes also a true artist. There are many finishing touches throughout our house where Mike went the extra mile to ensure that everything looked and functioned the way it should. He truly put his pride into our house. He also cleaned up his work area every single day!Between Mike and the Project Manager, Paul, the communication was fantastic. We always knew which individuals would be at our house and when. They did a great job on juggling the HVAC, drywall, painting, and electrical contractors throughout the project. Each of those individuals were excellent to work with as well. Paul was always in touch with us making sure that we were happy and that any open items were properly resolved.Summary -One of the things that sold us on Marvista was their commitment to being ON the job until it was finished. This promise was kept to the letter. No one likes the inconvenience of not having a kitchen, but they kept the discomfort to an absolute minimum. In the end, we love our new place. Our kids talk about it every day.The quality is exceptional, and their attitude and professionalism was so very much appreciated. The job was completed on time and within budget. We would recommend Marvista K & B to anyone.
