After going to Walmart for a flat tire and getting a line of BS on tires I needed, I came to this pep boys. Josh was upfront with me and explained in detail that the tire only needed a plug. He saved me $160. Appreciate their help!

The main guy Joshua was very nice and handled things quickly however it’s clear one of his techs took our car on a joy ride to do burn outs as there is excessive rubber on my back bumper and additional miles to what it was dropped off with. Definitely not appreciated on my brand new tires.

Had an appointment scheduled two weeks ahead of time, came in only for them to tell me Our AC guy is not in today. Isnt that something you could have called to let me know about beforehand since I put AC repair in the appointment details?

I had a absolute wonderful experience at this location. The store manager Corbin is an absolute Angel. He was so kind, courteous,helpful and thorough. Carlos, one of the mechanics was also wonderful! He showed me some problem with my cars and was so nice and knowledgeable. This is absolutely my new place to take my car and I’m so thankful for this experience. Highly recommended

I walk in right away they say we cant do it. They were closing in 20 mins.I do understand a long day of work. He is ready to go home. But could not be so negative to people. Maybe I would return but not now.

I dropped my 2002 Chrysler Sebring off for new front brake pads and rotors. I never received a call with the estimated cost (so I could approve the work, like every other shop Ive dealt with). I went to pick up the car and the total was $493. Thats almost twice what it shouldve cost. I logged onto Rock Autos website and looked up what rotors and pads cost for that car. The entire kit (pads & rotors) is around $50. I was charged $106.39 for EACH rotor, and $46.99 for the brake pad set. Also paid $173 for labor, and my favorite... the $35 shop fee. This place is a ripoff, I DO NOT recommend doing business here.

This place has gone Downhill!!! Prices have increased 200%. The employees in back are not mechanics. I would NOT recommend this location. They are privately owned try another location. Seriously I pride service and this place will rob you!!!

I entered onto this location. there was three mechanics. Not one car being worked on. I arrived and let them know i needed the front axel breaks and rotors replaced. I was in the waiting area with my 7 year old son. It seemed me be sketchy to begin with when the one taking my initial information seemed to be lacking proper comprehension. I was the only car and they took my truck back. A Manager begins to scream at me in front of my seven year old and my dad is on the phone. He continues to defend himself opens the car bay and screams get her truck out of here. I asked for corporates numbers never gave it too me. Hes continues to scream in the bay and i step outside and his mechanic drives my car. Parks. Opens it and walks away, I than proceeded to get into my truck and the balance on the tires are completely and i cant drive without a massive pull to the right side. I will NEVER EVER EVER go back and do not recommended to go there. After all is said they didnt even put my tires on correctly and they acted like the victim thinking i was a women and didnt know the cost correctly.

I took my work truck a 1 ton there to get the fronts breaks done had to get new rotors also it took them one and a half days to get it done after i got it back the breaks started making noise after about 6 weeks took it back they said looks fine if you want us to do a new break jod to get rid of the noise we will charge you i said no i keeped bringing it back for 8 months they wouldnt do a thing on the 9th month the breaks started making a grinding sound took it to a different pep boys the said they put standard pads on not heavy duty ones so had to pay again for the same thing not all pep boys are equal

Called to get an appointment. A friendly guy named Ed answered. Ed said he could take care of me right away. Drove down, Ed was there, he took my keys diagnosed the problem and had it fixed and on my way in less than 30 minutes. Thanks!

Honestly one of the easiest and best customer service experiences Ive had. Found out just a little bit ago I had a nail in my tire and needed a new one. Called up a couple shops that told me there was no way I would be able to get in for a replacement today until I called this store. Corbin at this location understood the frustration, inconvenience and need for a replacement so he told me to stop by as soon as I could to get the replacement I needed. By the time I got to the shop he had a tech and the tire ready. Carlos changed the tire quickly and ensured all was good and in place before I drove off. Cant speak highly enough of the experience I had today with this location both professionally and efficiently! Thank you again

Corbin the manager helped me get the best price on a replacement battery for my 2005 Honda Pilot. He got me in earlier than my scheduled time to help me out. I didnt have to wait long and I was well taken care of. I recommend this shop and will be back for future services.

Great experience! Went in to see about getting a tire balanced; they took us in immediately and 15 minutes later we were back on the road. Didnt even get to watch Catching Fire through the commercial break.

Loved the food. Service was great. Seemed really busy, at first I was thinking it was not practicing social distancing. But as I looked closer, it seemed okay. The noise level was pretty high.

Corbin is the nicest person I have ever met! I would definitely recommend this Pep Boys to anyone. I drive an hr there and back to just use them. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my car!

Ordered tires from Tirerack.com and had them delivered here. Corbin and the guys had me in and out in about 1.5 hours (they had to unmount (old) and mount (new) 5 tires). Will be using them again for sure.

Dont go here for your routine oil change - they charge more than the dealership!!!!! 25% more! Needless to say I am contacting corporate due to false advertising of prices. The employees are not friendly and completely unprofessional.

Corbin and his team are great. I had issues with my A/C and did not have good service elsewhere. I had to replace the the compressor. I was able to get the parts myself and have them do the labor. Great service all around. Ill be back to finish future repairs!Highly recommend!

Was visiting locally with my family and got stranded with a dead battery nearby. Their technician met us where we were stranded, bringing a new battery, replacing it on site and then had us follow him back to Pep Boys so that he could check a few other things to make sure we were good to go for our travels. Doug and Corbin were so great to go out of their way to help us, give us topnotch service, and a reasonable price! I would highly recommend!

I was leaving work late tonight after the storm, and ran over a branch from a fallen tree. My warning light instantly came on. I saw that they’re open sign was on so I decided to have them look at my tire real quick.When I walked inside they told me they had actually just closed five minutes ago. I was going to leave but then Doug asked me what happened and when I told him he offered to have them still look at my tire. Sage brought a flashlight and when he couldn’t really see my tires too well they had me bring my car into one of their bays(which they had to open for me). They realize I did not have a whole but they went ahead and filled up my tires with air. I appreciate them so much for making sure that I didn’t wake up to a flat tire even though they were already closed. Thanks so much guys !!!

I ordered a set of 4 tires and was promised they could be installed in 7 days. On the 7th day they informed me that it wasn’t going to happen unless I switched to a different tire.I agreed as I had company coming to town and this was a second car.They installed the tires and the next day one was flat . I took the car back in and they reseated the tire . I asked them to check the tire stem. It took 2.5 hours.The next day the same tire was flat. Back to the store I went. They said they didn’t know why it went flat. They said there must be a defect in the tire. They informed me that the tire they switched me to was a disco tied tire and had no more in stock. I asked to talk to the regional manager and they said they would call him. He agreed to pull the tire and gave a different technician look at the tire. So another 2 hours pass and the technician comes back and says “ the stem was loose”. So 3 trips and 6 hours bcz they couldn’t check the stem as I asked . In addition, when did they stop putting in new stems when you buy new tires. Very frustrated . My discount tire will be my new tire shop after many years using pep boys in Seattle . It seems the shops in AZ just don’t care to do a thorough job.Disappointed to say the least.Rob Gordon

I went there to get all four tires replaced on my Sorento with an alignment and oil change. I mean might as well do it all while there! While doing the oil change the mechanic spotted a serious problem that he was quick to alert me to. They even let me go and see it while explaining what it was because we aren’t all mechanically inclined. It felt good to know they weren’t trying to take advantage of me like some mechanics are known to do. Since they didn’t have the part on stock they agreed for my husband to go elsewhere to buy it and they would install for a very reasonable price. While waiting for all this to get complete I waited up front with Corbin who was very friendly and made time fly. Amazing experience and Fantastic Customer Service! My car drives like a dream and I can’t imagine what would have happened to me or my family if that broken boot hadn’t been spotted in time. I will add my vehicle was in a recent accident and the collision center I went to did NOT spot or alert me to a broken boot! (It was a rear end accident so the boot wouldn’t have pertained to it but they should have seen it) Thank you guys!!UPDATE: I went in on 7/3/19 because due to road debris one of my tires got a large metal object stuck in it. Luckily I had agreed to the lifetime tire hazard warranty when I purchased my tires so I brought it in and Eddie got it all taken care of. I just love this location!!! I have been to several locations of Pep Boys in the valley and from my experience this one has straight up staff that are friendly and honest. Thanks again guys!!!!

I had a GREAT experience at this location - I hit something on freeway that tore the under piece so it was dragging on the ground. Corbin? Came out and told me he would help me take care of it while I went to a appointment next door... Sold me a set of new Cooper A/T tires for my Jeep to be installed and allowed me to drive away with them. The tires are fantastic!Shop wanted to charge a tire disposal fee. When I asked why, they said its a future tire disposal fee for when I go to dispose of my existing tires. I told them I only want to pay for services I use and they took the charge off. All in all, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Kasey and his team went above and beyond to stay open late and make a special trip to buy additional parts in order to put new brakes on our Tahoe. They also recognized our Veterans license place and gave us a military discount. We truly appreciate them going the extra mile to ensure our brakes were taken care of before a family trip with our 9 month old baby to northern Arizona.

My experience at this location was much better the second time around after new manager Juan took over. Juan was courteous with open communication and upfront with fees and pricing. The technicians also seemed to to a good job of making sure all repairs were in good working order before releasing car back to me. I would recommend them.

I recently had to take my Mazda in for brake service. Just Brakes gave me the best price. After taking the car apart, there were other issues that arose. At the time I couldnt afford all the work that needed to be taken care of. I was on a limited budget and they were able to compromise to get the essentials done. I have had my new brakes for over a month now with no problems at all. I was very pleased by the courteous, professional service by Just Brakes. I would definitely recommend them and go back to them in the future for other needs.

Negative. Brought Tahoe in. Quoted me $1396 for repairs. Called the two ships down the street. Both ships Half of this locations quote. Called them back and they said “ you can bring your own parts in”. So I had the truck picked up and I took the truck down the road to a competitor. I then found out this location also diagnosed it wrong as well.

Bought a used car....bought it into this establishment. Told them I wanted a prepurchase car inspection, as I had a short period of time to return vehicle or have issues repaired at dealership. Charged me 30 bucks, to have car supposedly looked at. I slacked for report, and was told everything was fine, and that they didn’t have any report. This should have been the first clue, that something was fishy.My vehicle was pulling to the right, and thought it was tires, took car to discount, and was told tires were fine. This past Sunday I took car to sears auto, as they do a free alignment check. Saw report showing that toe was off considerably. Asked if this was a result of something occurring in the past 3 weeks since car was looked at. I was told absolutely not, which means pep boys was being disingenuous.I’m out 30 bucks, but it’s a lesson learned. I will not take my vehicle to this shop again, only reason I did was that they are located next door to my work. I’d rather travel a bit and have my car properly checked.Please avoid this establishment. I’m not one to leave negative reviews but, I don’t want to be lied to or feel ripped off, and this is how I feel now.

This particular Pep Boys location destroyed the engine of my car and set about a cover-up to conceal their actions.Summary: My car was driven to this Pep Boys because the Service Engine light came on a few miles from their shop. They evaluated the car and concluded that it had low oil so required a new pan/plug and oil change. $751 dollars later they released the car to us as tested and roadworthy. The engine seized less than 16 miles from their shop and the oil dipstick measured at that time was 100% dry. The car was towed back to them later that same day, after they had closed. The following day, they evaluated the car and said over the phone that the oil was gone and they were seeking the cause of the leak. They added oil to the engine to try to find the leak and were unable to find any.Although this indicated that they either failed to put oil in or that any oil they added was quickly lost, they and their corporate team - two weeks later - concluded that there was oil in the engine all along (since it was found to be in the engine several days later when their regional manager showed up) and therefore they are not in any way liable. They would not compensate for our 2 weeks of taxi/Uber/car rental nor would they compensate in any way for the loss of this car. My only recourse now is to post this honest experience of what happened to me in hope that it provides a warning to others.I give everyone a chance to be fair and ethical and did so in this situation. In this case, Pep Boys failed in every conceivable way, including never following up with return phone calls. We needed to urgently purchase a new car and are now faced with how to go about towing to a salvage yard the one they killed from their lot in Phoenix. The car was perfectly fine on arrival but 16 miles after they worked on it had a seized engine causing the car to be totaled.You have many choices for routine auto care and should take this situation into account.Follow-Up: Pep Boys PR group auto-replied to this posting saying to send an email to their pepsocial account. This is an attempt to look as though they want to help. Their Corporate Relations department has been kept informed this from 48-hours after the event occurred (when it became obvious that they were covering-up). The corporate office in Philadelphia today made their decision to not provide any compensation.Update: 8/23/2019: I wrote over a week ago to their pepsocial email address they provided below and they never replied. As I suspected, they automatically post that reply to negative reviews to make it look good but they dont actually do anything.

My experience was actually pretty sweet. The customer service was excellent and the time I waited was significantly better than the estimated time. Ive never had such a smooth oil change at a company before. Ill for sure be going back when I need it.

Waited 1.5 hours for diagnosis, then I was told my alignment was jacked, needed new brake fluid, and...a bunch of other stuff. Was going to be over a thousand. Decided to get a second opinion. I went to Network Brakes and Alignment on Cave Creek and was told my alignment was great and that my suspension was just fine. Went to Sun Devil Auto on Tatum and Bell and was told my brake fluid was fine and that my brakes were fine. $20 of an oil change, no charge for anything else from either of those shops. Much less than $1000. Needless to say, wont be going back to Just Brakes.

Most horrible experience ever! Just take it somewhere else! Be prepared to leave your car for days for a simple brake pad change. Not only the delay for repairs, when I got the car back it was making horrible noise and was not repaired right! Called to speak with general manager who begged me to bring car back to fix it ...another 2 days for brakes! Come on! Its only a Honda. Take my advice this is not a professional or reliable business.

Wow. This place is terrible! I made an appointment for oil change online, and when I arrived, there were three older guys who looked like they work there loafing around in the waiting room. They basically sat there and wouldnt get up. They obviously decided they dont want to work today. Anyway, one of them staggers over to my car, lifts the hood, and said, Your oil cap looks like its never been removed. Have you ever had an oil change before? Seriously? Do these guys even know how to work on cars? I made up some excuse and got out of there so fast.

Sage worked on my moms car and he did an amazing job! Him and Corbin are very friendly and trustworthy people! I highly reccomend this place!!!

I am so lucky to have found such an accommodating and wonderful place to fix my car. I had a front left tire that the cords were showing and the assistant manager Deven Dano saw and said we can get this done for you despite it being 730 pm (30 minutes prior to close). She sent Hiep to another store to pick up the tire and I was ever so grateful that they took care of me. They showed compassion and great customer service. I highly recommend coming to this store for your car needs. They treat the customer very well. Thank you very much.

You fitted the wrong parts, when the discs warped you agreed to repair but needed me to contribute towards your rework of the bad job and then the brakes failed again. I ended up taking the vehicle to my local automotive repair shop and they told me youd fitted the wrong parts (again) - I paid for them to repair the vehicle properly and will never return to Just Brakes! You had one job guys!

Good price for an oil change if you get the rewards

We dropped the truck off for pad replacement. Pretty basic brake job. And they tryed to sell the world to us. Well still took till 1:15 pm to get it back. I dont understand how a competent mechanic can take 5 hours for a basic brake job. If you want fast.....Just brakes not the place.

Ive been to this Just Brakes a few times for oil changes and have had a positive experience each time. They usually tell me things about my car that I should look out for in the future, which is helpful as my car is aging. I had 2010 Toyota Camry with around 50.5K miles on it. Went for brakes inspection and replacement(if needed) during 2nd week of July. Owner is smart in terms of talking with the people and he can figure out that i had recently relocated from chicagoland to Phoenix Area. He told me that all my rotors needs to be replaced as well as all the brake pads. Overall it was coming out to be around $725 which has included shop supplies of $35(total ripoff). Later when i said that i dont want to do that - he came down to around $602 with only the front rotors to be changed and back rotors to be resurfaced. I said - let me get the rotors as my autozone account had some money into it. He refused and said its not possible-I may not get discount. Then he tried to trap me further by saying he can provide another $50 discount if i get it done today or tomorrow. I can figure out there were only one more car for repair and only one labor(mechanic). I walked out of the shop and went to the nearby Brakes Plus. Gentleman at the front desk was honest enough to tell me that in general rotors need not be changed before 100K miles. Later I took the appointment at brakesplus. They did the inspection too and told me only the front brake pads needs to be replaced with rotors being resurfaced. Got everything done in less than $250. So essentially just brakes was ripping me off by almost $300+. Beware - always take the second opinion.
