If you want a new car and are looking for a great crew to deliver……then come to down Chapman Mazda. These guys know their stuff and they know how to get it done. This was honestly one of the best, stress free car buying experiences I’ve ever had. I worked with Bill Lohmeyer as my salesman(this guy is fantastic) and Steve in finance got my deal worked out perfectly with the bank, there were also countless other staff members that were always willing to help when/if needed. I’m definitely coming back here for my next car purchase.

Very pleased with Chapman Mazda! I purchased a used 2019 CX-5 from there after having a poor experience at a different dealership nearby.The team was informative, answered my questions, but didnt force any services or hidden fees on me which was highly appreciated. In a used car market shortage, I find that their rates are reasonable and honest.If shopping for a Mazda, I think the positive reviews of this dealership are valid.

Great experience. Used the Costco program and they were very friendly, thorough, and patient! I took over 3 hours to decide which car I wanted, and I never felt pressured. No need to negotiate, the price was that good. Ive bought 10 new cars in my life, and this is the best way to do it.

My wife actually left a 5 star review on here for this dealer after she purchased her Mazda 3. Over the last 5 years we have had the car serviced at this dealer - and been happy with the result.However, yesterday she came in for an oil change (the car was due for one, and Mazda has a promotion for teachers.) The service writer was irritated and snippy because my wife failed to mention the promotion to him before the service was done - despite the fact my wife mentioned it when booking the service.The worst part is - however - that apparently Chapman Mazda is making up for the loss of sales revenue due to the vehicle shortage by charging absolutely unreasonable prices for service.For example, one line item on the estimate for my wifes 3 was new spark plugs (x4.) This service is very simple. You remove the plastic engine cover (no tools required,) four very easily accessible bolts and connectors to remove the coil packs, and then R&R the plugs. The service at any reputable shop would be charged out at .25 - .5 hour labor. The Spark plugs (factory uses NGK) even with a 50% markup are less than $30 dollars each. The price quote by Chapman for this very simple service was $339.40 dollars.They also quote 239.39 to replace two serpentine belts, and $354.61 to change the easily accessible belt tensioner. $594 dollars to do two maintenance items that should not be booked out at more than 2 hours labor and $150 in parts (with markup.)I checked prices at their competition (Mazda dealer in Phoenix) and Chapman was far and away more expensive. The alignment they quoted us was $50 more than a rival Mazda dealer, for example.I have been a mechanic for over 20 years, and I am a good one. We chose to have her car serviced at this dealer because previously the pricing was fair and the service was nice.They have lost a customer, who not only purchased a vehicle from them, but also chose to have the vehicle serviced there.

This is THE Dealership for MAZDAs! Bill Lohmeyer is THE Man! In my opinion, this is the only certified Mazda dealership in the valley for quality, customer service, professionalism and selection! Gotta admit, quite dissapointed by dealerships so far. 1st schedule I go for they dont have me written down. Telling me I need to reschedule. Second, was on me. I missed it on accident. 3rd time, (this time). Scheduling an appointment at 2 is apparently too late even though its what was asked for. Seeing as it apparently takes 3 hours (in reality it takes about an hour at most. (I have done it before). And even though I put in my vin, license, etc.. and its been scheduled. They may or may not have the part. So since any of the times before they didnt take down my info, they dont know if they even have the part. If they do, still want me to reschedule since it would take too long..They close at 9:00 p.m. It would be 5 if it took 3 hours right now. Guy came over and scolded me for rushing him while I was calm and trying to be polite. Cracking a joke when possible to raise the mood. He repeated it would take 3 hours after slipping up and saying it would take an hour and a half...Then corrected himself later saying 3 hours. But he could get it done today cause Im lucky they have the one part needed. Then asked if I was heading home or hanging around. I said hanging around and he scolded me saying he leaves at 6 so he doesnt have the time to spare. So, rescheduled 1st time with a woman, was scolded by the old man, lied to by the old man, and hopefully they will have managed to get the job done by the time I finish typing this. I wish anyone* luck who goes here

I have traveled a lot of places and purchased vehicles in multiple states. I have been ripped off every single time UNTIL I met Glen and David at Chapman Mazda. I hit the jackpot when I found them. I feel like we must be related somehow for them to treat me with such kindness. I had a limited budget and strict criteria. David, who is the director, literally called me or messaged me personally every time he came across a vehicle he thought would work for me. I had not even met this guy!! Yet he championed for me. He actively looked. He made everything possible and introduced me to Glenn. Glenn is a special individual. He delivered my car to me. Mazda CX9 Service update_7-20-21:As the weather started to reach over 105 degrees in Phoenix, I noticed that when making a hard acceleration from a dead stop, the AC would blow out hot air until I decelerated. I brought the car back to Bruce at Chapman and he said that hed need a couple of days to run a full diagnostic check and they gave me a loner in the meantime. Upon completion of the diagnostic check, Bruce stated that all the vents, and vacuum lines were in top shape but they did have to do a software update. I was skeptical that a software update would fix a perceived AC vacuum problem but the update made a world of difference. My 2019 CX9 AC now works GREAT! The AC works like never before and all AC cooling issues seem to be completely resolved.Once again, service advisor Bruce.... is the best!I had my CX9 serviced for an oil change and the AC system and Freon serviced. The AC was not as cold as I thought it should be. After the completed service I really didnt notice any difference. A service technician was brought out and we drove around a bit discussing how the cars AC works; and still not much if any difference. After explaining my concerns to Bruce, he said, Ill charge you for the oil change only for now and stated that it wouldnt be right to charge for a service that wasnt successful. He then suggested that I drive the car a bit, then park it overnight and then drive again the next day to see if perhaps there was some trapped air in the line and then get back to me the next day. The service stats from the shop indicated that the AC system was in fact producing cooler air but I just wasnt feeling it. I followed Bruces suggestions, and the next day I had some seriously chilly coming out the vents. A business thats concerned about giving its customers positive results and not just taking their money and saying...see ya; is something special these days. Thanks Bruce for caring, youre the best!!!

Continue to have the best experience with the service department at Chapman Mazda. I normally dont leave reviews but Bruce is one of the best service advisors I have met. Not only is he knowledgeable and helpful but hes friendly and genuinely cares. He presents himself as someone who truly enjoys what he does. Always welcoming. Most recently, we had to bring our 16 year old daughters CX-5 in for an issue. I called Bruce and he walked me through some steps before deciding to bring the car in. We were seen right away and both Bruce and Wayne took care of things while being personable and showing that they care. Im grateful for them especially so my daughter can see what good customer service looks like. As long as Bruce sticks around, well be coming back to him for servicing and anything else.

This was a really fun and chill experience. Im new to the Mazda brand and it was my first time shopping for a SUV. The other dealers I went to were not as helpful or eager to assist me. The staff was all super friendly and personable. I worked with Jacob Sayegh who was super knowledgeable and rolled with the punches. Very disappointing. I called ahead 2 times to confirm the vehicle, they said said, (yes hey have it and will get it ready). had to get an uber up there was about 70$ just to find out it was already sold. Then I asked for more cars around the same price range and at the same time i was running the credit since they had a lot of vehicles and found out hose cars had problems or other issues ! now I have a hit on my credit report . how do you advertise this??? I tried to work a deal with them trying to let things go yet they denied me. 1000% will not recommend this to my friends and family.

I would not recommend this place at all, this was my first time purchasing from a dealership and I’m not sure I will ever do it again, my car I bought from them that I’m paying over $400 a month in payments for has had 3 problems in the year I bought, I’ve had to replace the cheap Walmart battery they put in it after a few months of use, then my break sensor went out a few months after that and then take it to the dealership I pay over $400 a month for my “working car” and pay a couple more hundred bucks to get that fixed and the dealership also told me the car would be ready in the morning so I came in around 10AM and the car wasn’t even being worked on yet SMH, so I could either leave and drive 20 min back home and come back in a few hours or wait 3 hours for them to fix it.... Don’t you just love dealerships?, and then just a few days ago, my alternator went out and that’s not a cheap fix for my 2015 Mazda, it makes me so mad how places love to drain your pockets but they don’t like to make sure your car continues to work properly, once you sign those papers they don’t give a damn bout nothin but that paycheck, SMFH companies make me sick, done ranting now.

I am confused by the rating for this place. I called twice to ask about a car, after the first sales person never got back to me. Turns out they add $2000 to their sticker price, then will tell you thats a bargain because the car is worth so much more. With dealers like Carmax, Carvana, and Cargurus, I am shocked that Capmans sales approach is still around.

Went on their site to find a used car. Found a Ford Escape that seemed to be a great deal. Car was filthy and on test drive it kept saying oil change needed. 2 big dents on the car that were not listed online or shown. So I tried to get the price down only to be told no and then told on top of the usual fees a dealership charges they charge a $1267 “dealer fee”, I assume they do need to charge that since they can’t even clean their cars. We were also interested in another car but they conveniently said they had misplaced the keys. Total rip-off and I’m reporting them to the BBB as well, be upfront with your pricing don’t put it in tiny print at the bottom most part of your site. You wasted my time, my wife’s, and our 2 year olds. Don’t let them waste your time try Carvana, Vroom, CarMax or probably any other dealership.

I don’t even give this place one star, I went to them to purchase an 04” Honda civic, I put a $1000 down! They used my money to put gps system in the car... and two weeks after having car started having issues. Battery died no warning light, so I bought a new battery $150, turns out alternator was going out. They fixed alternator but did not want to reimburse me for the battery. Car still was not running right and I told them right away. Bank Gag finance company new also of issues .... They did help get car back into the dealer to find new issue, fuel sensors $300 repair and dealership stated I was responsible for repair. I told finance company I was not going to fix they can cave car back ... They got car back but I did not get my $1000 back ! Lemon law does not apply to old of year 04”! They sold the car.... did they fix issues or not? Whom ever bought it next!

I had the fortune of dealing with the Fleet Manager Rob Riley, a seasoned professional. He assisted my wife in explaining just what she needed to know to make an informed decision without overwhelming her with a standard sales pitch. That was very important for a senior attempting to master the intricacies of modern auto technology. Mr. Riley was also very transparent in all aspects of the financial side of the transaction. While my intention was to purchase the Mazda CX 5 for my wifes use only, after learning of the capabilities of the vehicle and experiencing driving it some distance home, Ill be keeping the second set of keys close at hand.

Took a while to find someone I could communicate with.I perfectly understand that dealerships need to make money:$600 in doc fees is a bit high$1,600 for accessories (door edging, cup protection, tinted windows, and paint protection, also 2 oil changes and 4 rotations)First off what is door edging, also who needs cup protection. Oil changes can be done almost anywhere for very cheap.The paint protection is something you could put on your car yourself that costs less than $100After looking around at various dealerships I found the same car somewhere else $1,200 cheaper. That car offered more for less some how and they still make money out of it.Also Nick Nicholas has been one of the worst sales person I have dealt with.

First, I hate writing negative reviews and I rarely do, but I need to in this case. I made an appointment with Mazda Chapman for an oil change on a Friday afternoon. I arrived and was completely shocked that many employees were NOT wearing masks, customers walked in without wearing masks and there were no signs any where indicating the mask mandate. Are you kidding me? We are in the middle of a pandemic. For such a large company, this is completely irresponsible. The City of Phoenix is under a mask mandate so there is no excuse for not enforcing masks at your establishment. Because of this, I was so uncomfortable that I sat outside for three and a half hours in 110 degree weather (at least the table was in the shade) rather than wait inside. My place of employment has better safety protocols than Mazda Chapman, just sad.Finally, when my car was ready, I was told that I needed a new back tire and a small repair above the tire. So between the oil change, new tire and small repair, they were going to charge me over $400!!! I payed for the oil change (which $90 is insane for an oil change) and drove to another establishment down the street and simply payed $150 for a new tire. It turns out I didnt even need the repair above my tire that Mazda was going to charge me $160 for. I almost wanted to cry, I could not believe how much Mazda Chapman was going to rip me off!!! SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES!I LOVE my 2020 Mazda Cx-5 that I bought in Washington State, but there is no way in hell I will support this dealership and I will tell everyone I know as well not to support them. The only positive is that the older gentleman who helped me with my car was extremely nice and even agreed that I can find a cheaper tire down the road.Please be cautious of Mazda Chapman and especially if you are high-risk, think twice before entering!!

We love this location, we have bought 4 cars here. Great prices, great staff, and no BS. And anything wrong with the car they fix it like the windshield was cracked and one of the back door locks didnt work, but its good now. Also they have in house finance that helps you get in a car.

I just purchased my 5th vehicle here. They have their own bank for financing. The staff are honest and will not lie or b.s. you. If you go, ask for Nick Nicholas. Here is there internet manager for Mazda. Dont go to the other side, Hyundai. Hi to Mazda, and ask for Nick. I promise he will treat you like family.

Nick and Rafael in sales are great. Huey in finance, not so much. He just wouldnt take no for an answer to the extended warranty and employed scare tactics to try to get us to buy the warranty. Not cool at all.

These guys are the biggest scam artists in the valley. They will send you a number and not honor it. Emailing me an out the door number and when I came in they would not honor the deal . Honestly just quite shocking when agreeing upon a number and not honoring the deal we had in place. Never had such a horrible experience when buying a car. Totally dishonest sales tactic, just to try to get you through the door and not honoring the number they had agreed upon before.

Chapman was a refreshing car buying experience. Other dealrships swarm in on you like vultures getting all your information and pressuring you before you even look at a car. Here at Chapman my salesman Jacob showed me the vehicles, answered my questions, let me test drive and then when I decided this was the car I wanted we sat down to discuss price and only then did I give my information. He even followed up to make sure everything was good with my purchase.

We definitely had an AMAZING experience with Chapman Mazda and we only have 1 issue! Our salesman was Brian, very friendly and patient. We had called about the 2014 Chevy Traverse a few days before we came in, he had it pulled up for us when we got there, had the carfax out, and everything prepared. We test drove it and absolutely loved it, we needed a bigger car since we have 3 kids, so all the extra room is needed. They worked with us and gave us a hell of a deal and we appreciate everything that they did and all the back an forth they did with us. Only down fall/issue that there is was the A/c DOESNT work! We bought the car “as is” but it almost makes me think did they give us a hell of a deal because they knew the ac didn’t work and just didn’t tell us, probably! We had to go back the next day to give the dealership paper work, everyone who was helping us was there and asked my husband hows the car was and he let them know well the a/c doesnt work, all they said was “man im sorry.” On our way home my son was throwing up in the car because it was just so hot and not cooling down, we live 45 minutes from the dealership. Now after putting 6k down we have to figure out what were gonna do about our a/c since there is no way it can be driven in this Arizona heat. My advice is make sure EVERYTHING WORKS!!!!!

**Review Update**Update: Chapman Mazda and I were able to work towards an agreement. They handled my situation with great care and transparency. I really appreciated their efforts and am loving my new car!Buyer Beware: This dealership failed to honor the agreed-upon price that was given twice in writing, once to me via text and another to my email through an online inquiry. Upon arrival, with cash to purchase, the price was off and I didnt feel that the dealership was transparent with me upfront. Fees are understandable within reason, but I draw the line where I feel like I am being taken advantage of. Specifically, new tires installed on the car after the price conversation and prior to my arrival at the dealership with cash in hand based on agreed-upon price. I am posting this to prevent others from experiencing similar issues. Honesty is the best policy and I didnt feel like the staff I met with that day or had been speaking to up to a week prior were behaving honestly.

I came in at 4:30pm on a weekday and received first rate service from beginning to end. As a first time buyer I came in with a TON of questions, all of which were answered and explained very patiently and thoroughly without any pressure or feeling rushed to make any decisions I wasn’t ready to. Scott made sure I found myself in the driver seat of my dream car and Rob explained every last detail of the vehicle and buying process to my satisfaction. These guys went to every possible length to make sure I walked out with what I wanted and was comfortable with. They made the experience completely enjoyable and I felt as though I was completely in the loop during the entire process. When it came time to sign & finalize the finance & purchase documents, Steve was patient and thorough, he answered all of my questions (at least 100) allowing me to understand what I was signing in a vernacular I could process.When all was said and done, the guys even helped me return my rental car that I arrived in so I wouldn’t have an extra chore on my plate.I couldn’t be happier with my purchase or the experience I had, no hesitation in recommending anyone to take their business to this location.
