I dropped my car off I had an 8:30 appointment they had it all day and I picked it up at 5:00. I feel I was overcharged I paid almost 700 bucks for two rotors and brake padsWhile I was there I heard him quote somebody else $169 For new brake pads all around. Overall I feel like I was overcharged and that they have a different price for everybody it shouldnt be like that.

I took my 2006 Chevy uplander in on 7/22/2021 to this location because it was difficult to slow the vehicle and the brakes squealed. I described this to the guy at the counter. He said they would check it out. I proceeded to tell him that I had my brakes serviced at this location. He checked the computer system and saw that they had been serviced less than a year ago. He promptly stated that since my brakes had been serviced so recently, that the brakes should not be the problem. He then added that it was more likely that the master cylinder was the issue but they would still check out and let me know. After their evaluation they informed that it was the master cylinder... A $1200 dollar repair. I authorized the repair. They performed the repair. I picked up the vehicle on 7/23/2021. To my disappointment a noticed that the vehicle braking performed exactly the same. How is that possible after an evaluation and a $1200 repair? Did they not test drive the vehicle themselves after the repair. Because of my schedule, I was unable to return the vehicle for further evaluation, so I have been making do. However, I feel that I have been taken advantage of by being charged for a repair that didnt repair anything. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location to anyone for any repair.

My appointment was for 11am. I got there on time and sat there for 3 hours while they did a brake inspection. After that I was told that the actual brake job would take another 2 hours. On top of that, the cost was outrageous. I truly feel like I was robbed.They 1st quoted me a price of 1,900$ for repairs that I never asked for. This was the absolute worst experience in brake service Ive ever had. Id take a HARD PASS on brake masters

The staff is nice and friendly. I came in for an oil change on my car and I didnt get pressured to get more work done. As a woman I greatly appreciate that. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

I bring my cars here for oil changes since the price is decent and the service here is good and friendly. They will inspect your vehicle and jot down any recommendations. I think the pricing on the upsells in service needed are a bit ridiculous for what they are. As a former Honda/Acura mechanic, these prices can be a bit too high, as close or higher than dealership in my opinion. I was quoted just over 1k for a lower control arm on the right front. 300 for part, $800+ for labor. High in my opinion. Id still give them a shot as they are honest with their work, but maybe not the pricing. Price is always negotiable anywhere u go. Best of luck!

I was referred to this Brake Masters by a friend who said they have honest mechanics. After struggling with the service center at my car dealership, I decided to give them a try. Chris at the front desk was so helpful! He looked into the history of the work completed on my vehicle and found the part I needed was recalled. He saved me $1200!! They didnt charge me anything for the visit even though they were running tests on my vehicle. I highly recommend this Brake Masters and Ill definitely come back!

I had a great experience given the circumstances here. The manager Cris Cooper is fantastic and will tell you like it is. They finished my car in a timely manner even after hours. And recommended nearby places for food during my wait.

Came in for a brake noise and free inspection after being quoted 150 for lifetime brakes over the phone. After the inspection they advised me the brakes had 95 percent life left, however recommended a full replacement running 240 for the front and 240 for the back. I appreciate the honesty about the brake life, but not too impressed with the quote and recommendation. I feel like the phone quote was bait to bring me in.

I came in on Friday and Chris was at the counter and happy to help me with my vehicle. I wasnt sure what was going on and I didnt feel safe driving my car. He was very nice and took my car back to see what was going on and his team found that I had lost my brake pad up front. I was totally caught off guard by the situation but Chris was really willing to work with me on pricing so I wasnt totally broke and he carefully explained everything to me so I was ok with the work. He didnt take advantage my situation and was very good to me and taking care of my vehicle.....Thank you Chris & team!!!!!!!

One of the worst places for your breaks let’s just start off by the staff how rude pretty much paid for full service now I’m having to go to another place for breaks this place is simply trash do not trust them with your car, they do not know what they are doing and will start messing up a lot of other things will not get the job done right don’t waste your time, your basically throwing your money in the trash. They need to find real mechanics that can do the job right the first time.

Came in for a brake inspection and Chris took me out to my car and showed me what was going and guided me thru what was most important and what could wait. I dont have lots of money but Chris was very honest helpful. Thank you Chris. Also while I was waiting, a Spanish speaking customer came in and Chris was holding a conversation with him using google translate. Great job going above and beyond for your customers Chris.

Pricey, but the guys there keep you company, once they warm up to you. I can honestly say that they made the time fly by in an instant! I had fun. My brakes were done well. Im still rolling on them.I think that it gets more expensive after the first time you go. That I dont understand... and that took a star away! Sowee guys. Not a bad stop though. I recommend it. I will be back because at least Ill get to see the boys again!

Two hours for an oil change they said would take 30 minutes. I watched them put oil in my truck and then for 45 minutes it sat there. When I asked them about it they said they were waiting for paperwork. For 45 minutes? Serves me right for using a place in this area.

Jeff has got to be the most honest guy I know. First I came in for front and rear brakes...knowing my budget he told me he recommends only rear as my fronts have meat still!! Then while pulling off my rotor a tech cracked it inadvertently....they could have easily lied but they didnt...wow. 5 star

Was having issues with my truck, brought it in to get it checked out, and they were very efficient, took their time and was able to properly diagnose the problem. I had gone some where else prior, and the other place was not so helpful. Chris explained what was wrong, and offered a very reasonable price to fix it. Everyone was very friendly, professionl, and Chris helped me out tremendously!

The highest compliment, in my mind, that a car repair shop can get is that its honest. As somebody that knows very little about cars Im always terrified of getting ripped off with service I dont actually need. However, at this brake masters I went in asking for service done that I thought I needed, no questions asked, and the manager (who has incredible guest service) let me know that I didnt actually need the service. Taking that short term loss in revenue for my benefit ,and to make sure Id always come back here, is rare to find. That alone makes me recommend this place 100%

Absolutely the worst customer service imaginable. The front desk guy who is apparently the store manager made it seem as if I was I total inconvenience for bringing my business to him. An alignment. Yes I had a coupon from discount tire, buying thats such an problem, dont do that deal with them. If need any service, drive the extra 10 minutes to an independent break masters on Scottsdale rd. Avoid this thomas location.

I did my own brakes, but needed them bled. Everywhere else wanted a fortune. They had me in and out for a great price, and my brakes feel WAY better! Extremely happy with service so far. Have another vehicle which Ill be bringing in soon.

At 105,000 miles I expected my brake pads to be far more worn than reasonable and thought I was going to have to pay for more than just brake pads. I bought my vehicle new and had never changed the brake pads and thought that I was long overdue. Brake masters could have told me that I needed new pads or even needed more than just brake pads and I would have believed them and paid them. I was shocked when the guy came back and told me that my brake pads were only 50 percent, considering they were the original brake pads that came with the truck from the factory! HONESTY & INTEGRITY will keep me coming back to Brake Masters for a LONG time. This is my second experience like this with them. The first time was at 50,000 miles when a mechanic told me my brakes were shot. I took my truck to Brake Masters who told me the brakes were fine and NO work was needed.

Please, find another business to do your automobile work at! They dont all the work! Their warranty they dont keep, even at their other shops!I spent over 200 dollars to have my brakes done. Including the rotors being turned. Come to fine out they didnt turn my left front rotor. I drive for a living. Brakes are important!!!When I discovered the problem, I thought it was an easy fix. Went to 3 different Brake Masters... All telling me that I didnt have my back brakes not cleaned. First of all, left front rotor has grooves in it. It hadnt been turned. Needless to say after my 3rd shop. The manager told me the rotors are to clean not to have been turned. Cleaned my back brakes for free. Yet, I still have to get my front brakes redone. This is sad!Your company lost a long time customer.

They were extremely busy on Saturday and all I needed was an alignment. At the front desk they let me know that it may take a while upfront, and I appreciated that.Not only did they let me know that it would be done as soon as possible despite it being busy, when they called back a couple hours later and said my Jeep was ready I noted that it may be a half hour before I was able to pick it up. They said it was no problem and that they would be open until 5:30. Just knowing that they were extremely busy, but still taking the time to let me know that I could pick it up whenever it was convenient for me meant a lot.When I picked up my Jeep I mentioned the coupon I found on their website for an alignment and they gave it to me without question. Im fairly new to Tucson and the west coast in general, and Ive now been to Brake Masters twice. I plan to make them my regular stop because of the kind and thorough service Ive recieved!

Charged me $212 for new front rotors when I bought 2 new rotors and brake pads for my rear online at Rockauto for $104 delivered. Not to mention my front have that rust look going on and shouldnt if they were new! Always looking for a way to take peoples hard earned $. I bet they just machined mine down and charged me for new ones! Tried to get me to purchase shocks and struts and charge $949. Lol. Bought both in Rockauto for $333 and paid a buddy $200 to install them! Saved about $400! Never again fools!

I love going to this location! Between Chris and Craig they always tell the honest truth. I currently am driving with a leak in my coolant tank (radiator). They notified me of it and told me how to maintain it as my budget didnt give me the necessary means to fix it at that time. When the time comes that I will need to replace it, they will have my business.They are honest and straightforward. I recommend this location to all my friends.

They forget to put lug nuts back on my tire and it fell off on the way home. Luckily I wasnt injured or killed somebody else. After paying $900.00 for a brake job.2 brakes , everyone says I should have sued them.

As I sat in the waiting room and listened to several people getting a laundry list of repairs needed and everyone passed on doing the work needed..as I once did, couple years ago(back in Chicago) I passed on getting a radiator, two weeks later over heated the motor and cracked the block.Now I listen to the work they feel the car needs------> so it keep going down the road! I wrote this cause those guys got me in so I could take a trip..Thank you!

This place is trash and deserve no stars. Brought my car in to get my breaks done and they charged me an arm and a leg and nothing was fixed. This place took advantage of me because I’m a young girl that don’t know much about cars. DON’T TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!This place is TRASH

Got the job done. Would I go back? Probably not.Reducing to one star. Why you ask? Well they told me my car needed thousands of dollars of work when I took it in for an oil change. They also bashed the shop that Ive been to for repairs (surprise). So when my car started to make a noise, I took it to my usual mechanic. The issue? My oil level was low. On a car that I had just done an oil change on.Do not take your car to this company/location.

This location tried charging me over $200 for things I didnt need. I went in to get my brakes checked, and while they were removing one of my tires one of the studs broke off. It was right before payday and they wanted $30 to fix what they broke. Most places would replace it if it broke off in their shop. Then they told me I needed new brake parts because whoever did my brakes last used cheap parts. The only parts that were replaced last were the brake pads, which they actually said were fine. In total it was going to be a $270 job with the new brake parts and resurfacing my rotors. Needless to say I didnt get it done there. I went to Pep Boys and they fixed it for FREE. Lucky for me Ive been learning about cars and have people in the industry I could reach out to. I feel sorry for anyone else they do this to because just a year ago I wouldve just paid to get it fixed.

They use valvoline oil. They do a good job. You can see them drain and replace the oil. Reasonable prices too. I love it.

I brouught my car in because i thought i needed brakes. The store manager was friendly and took mh car right away. When they got it up in the air the staff found that both my front wheel bearings where really bad. They did check my brakes and found them good still. Thank you guys, that couldve been really bad. Fair price, very slow with service. I cam in and they installed new parts, noticed the brakes catch but they said it will wear in. 5 week later its squeaking and now they are trying to add more things to it. They inspected it the first time. So much for the word mechanics . Do not come to this location unless you want to waste you time.

Come off as very honest and straightforward but upsell like crazy without offering other options unless you ask, then they make it confusing so you go with the original offer. $207 after taxes just for front brakes. Charged $72 for the set of posi-quiet ceramic brakes they offer (found them for $35 on tirerack, $25 on amazon). $113 in labor, brakes are a pain on a jack but super easy for a shop that specializes in brakes. The rest in taxes and fees. My advice, go in and get a quote, compare the prices of it all to ensure they dont rip you off. If its a quality brake, or you plan to get a new car before another brake change, dont get the fluffed warranty.Also get a second opinion on their recommended services.

Craig is very rude and disrespectful.. Hes the current manager for this place. I have been going to this location from 4 years now and the old manager Dan was very respectful and nice. When Dan left the job they moved Craig to his position and since then every time I go there he gives my an attitude and whenever I get an oil change he would double the price until I tell him that I did not request this type. I dont recommend this place anymore to anyone.. The owners better get a real manager not a dude whos mad and angry on every costume the entire day.

Ive been going to Brake Masters for the past 7 years for all my auto needs. I almost always go to the Thomas location. Ive found them to be honest and do good work. The managers are nice and normally dont give deadlines that arent true.When I drop off my cars I know that they are being taken care off!

Undeniably splendid..... I have been a customer for 9 yrs in this company particularly in this location since I arrived in this country. There prices & services a reasonably fair. No hocus focus, straight to the point & nice people too.

This place has been my girlfriends go to for years, and for me the occasional oil change. We are both in our 60s, and Ive been to many service places and even worked in one when I was younger. Yesterday IMO they really overcharged my girlfriend for replacement of an alternator. This is s simple procedure on a Camry, very minimal time involved. The replacement part can be had online from Rock Auto for between $100 and $200 depending on brand and presumably quality. My girlfriend was charged almost $400 to replace that alternator with a rebuilt one marked as rebuilt in Mexico. Now I know everybody has to make a living, but when a little old lady, who has been a regular customer for years gets treated like that my first thought is, woman tax. For those not familiar, it refers to the extra percentage many shops tack on when they are dealing with a woman. Enough said.

If I could not give them any stars I would. Terrible, terrible, terrible service. I had a check engine light on and they sad its the gas cap, I replace it. They clear the code. I go on with my life, and the code comes back. Then they say its the lower intake manifold plus EVERYTHING, that needs to be switched out. Supposedly going to cost $570(350 just for labor), plus the $100 inspection, and 30 for my gas cap. I got a second opinion and they say its only 90 dollar fix.They dont care about your car or your safety, they care about making money.Go to Ricardo on 2328 e van buren hes great!

Went to Break Masters #122 to get my front break pads replaced due to the Toyota of Camelback dealership telling me they were down to 3mm and needed replacement. BM performed the inspection and told me they didnt need replacement due to the pads being at 6mm. Hats off to store #122 for their honesty.

They got my car in fast as a walk in. The wrong part for the rear brakes was delivered which caused a delay. They have my a discount for having to wait extra so the customer service here was excellent!

My wife and I had many awful experiences with this location we stopped doing business with this location. In 2013 I asked to have my A/c system completely rebuilt on my s10 pickup. I was told that I wouldnt have any problems with it for years. That day I had to go back, then three months later I went back with problems. I was told that not everything was repaired. I decided to not do business there anymore. Im still having problems for there 1500.00 worth of work.My wife passed away and I sold her car. All the repairs they did to her car cost me money selling it for being bad repairs!

The price for putting in a new tail light on the passenger side was outrageous. They wanted to charge me to do an electrical diagnostics test to see if there was a shortage in the car electrical system. Charge was outrageous. I went somewhere else.

First time and they were the best.

Called yesterday for oil change. I was told that they were busy and asked to make an appointment for today at 2:30 pm. I did. Then when I just went there, I was told that they cannot find my appointment and let me wait for another 3 to 4 hours. No apology at all. I just walk away and never go there anymore although I has been their customer for years.

They took really good care of me and my car and really went out of there way to make sure I had a good experience and didnt end up paying more than my budget allowedId recommend them over any other auto service

They called saying my vehicle was in good condition but anyone who drives my car knows theres something wrong with the brakes. You just automatically feel it. They checked again and a few minutes later Craig called saying it would be $750 to fix just the front brakes. Also one employee told me an oil change would be $20 then it turned to $25 and once I went back to pick it up the total was $29.57. Horrible service. Also they told me to fix my ac due to the compressor would be $900. I might aswell buy a new car.

AVOID!!!!!!! I had new brakes put on a couple months ago and they squeak. Theyre supposed to have a warrantee on them. Theyre solution is to spend another $300 on different pads. They noise is only getting worse. Should have taken my truck to a real mechanic.

I would honestly say they are real excellent and very honest people I do my oil change all the time here and I would recommend there service to anyone prices are reasonable . Most places do take advantage of females and there vehicles just get more money outta us this place dont . Im happy I found this place to work on my vehicle.
