When you start out with them they are amazing to set you up with a policy. Once you have a policy, they do nothing to help you out. They never return phone calls, you call and ask for the person in charge of your policy, they ask what you need, and then they tell me they are busy and never call me back.One of the vehicles in my policy was in an accident (not our fault) and the other drivers policy was giving us the run around. Neal Dastrup didnt do anything to help, I asked them for advice and they told me to call the insurance company on my own.

They are threatening to take away roadside assistance because we used them 9 times in 3 years. I get that may seem like a lot. I have a really old car and had to switch out the battery. Then the plugs were draining the battery. Considering the last people who responded for road side assistance damaged my car. One was clearly on drugs and the other wouldnt stop smoking his cigarette while helping. Yes they were nice and eventually helped me. This company acts like they are providing the best service. Ill look elsewhere where they will respect customers, the money I put into insurance, and not threaten customers for actually using the insurance.

Id give zero stars if I could. I used their services for 25 years with no accidents! My lifestyle changed & I required different insurance needs. Over the course of several weeks I never spoke to the same person twice and they could not take care of my insurance needs even after telling them exactly which company would insure me. I had to call the insurance provider directly and set it all up myself. Meanwhile Neal Dastrup agents never cancelled my previous insurance provider despite my calling to verify the cancellation date, so now the previous insurance company has taken over $400 out of my account. Its been over 2 months now and I still do not have my money back. Do not use them!! They work for the insurance company, not you! They will not work to get you the best company or quote.

I have always had a great experience whenever I go into the Dastrup Insurance office. I was recently assisted by Cinda in changing my insurance policy, she got me a fantastic deal and made the whole process quick and simple. Great place. Great people.

Had them for the previous 2 years or more. Wasn’t impressed with my experience with Cinda. Front office was always polite but have had a much better experience overall going with another agency.

Luckily, I came across Dastrup Insurance and they were able to insure my car for a great affordable price. They also got me a great deal on renters insurance for my apartment. Would give zero stars if possible. Asked for a quote on a Monday and by Friday there was nothing but a total mess. I had to call Bear River directly to confirm that I did in fact have a policy (which I was told wouldnt be the case until my payment was completed) and Neal Dastrup still hadnt processed my first payment!!! After nothing but miscommunication, complete disorganization, and ZERO support, I switched to another agent. I felt like I was literally begging to be their customer. Who doesnt process a payment for services as soon as possible?? A week of wasted time, energy, and pure chaos. Would avoid this insanity at all costs.

Inept agents. Despite the application stating that she is not a renter, they gave my sister a renters policy instead of an HO6 two years ago. Now she is stuck with water damage all over and no coverage. What type of agents write a policy without verifying the needs of the client? Stay away!
