I was driving home from work at 4am. And my car started to shake violently. I immediately pulled over and tried to diagnose the issue. Found my driver side rear wheel was disconnected to something I thought might be the axel (not the most handy. But decent)I drove it home going 10mph, any faster and I was scared of the death trap I was in. Anyways, I called around to 6 different shops in the area. All booked out. I found these guys. As a last resort, and I called, Tom answered the phone. I told him the issues, he said to finish my coffee and get there right away. So I did. He fit me into his busy schedule, THE SAME DAY.I took it in about 9am. He called me with the diagnosis at noon. I got the car back at 3. Parts and labor were way less than it would have been at any other major chain shop. I will be calling him for any issues I have. And since I’m nearing 100k miles. I’m sure will be a few.Oh. And also. They have two stray dogs they rescued over time. So that’s an awesome bonus to an awesome mechanic.Thank you Tom.

I eat at McDonalds at least twice a week. There has not been a time I got my order that when I got home the order was wrong. Now I have to stay at the food window and check to make sure is correct. Come on McDonalds get it together!!!

Twice Ive taken my wifes jeep to other places for routine maintenance and theyve identified problems and given me high quotes. Both times Ive taken the jeep here for a second opinion and Tom has confirmed the issue but fixed it for half the cost the other places have quoted. Its also been dropped off and fixed in the same day. Also, everyone is incredibly nice here. I will be taking my vehicles here every time.

Tom did an amazing job, He helped me so much and saved me SO MUCH money, he did a great job fixing my power steering pump and ball joints at a reasonable price. He saved me 3x the price I would have paid at anywhere else.

Tom is super great! I had some problems with my Malibu and Jeep and he got both in quickly. My favorite part about the shop is that he calls you to let you know what is going on and walks you through everything! As someone who knows zero about cars, I did not feel taken advantage of at all. You can tell he love what he does and it isnt about the money; that is how it should be. He has very fair prices and I love that it is a family run shop. They are personable but professional. I highly recommend! Plus the 2 dogs in office are sooo cute and make my day!

I went to this Auto-Repair shop March 30 2021 and when I came in and explained my problem he test drove it around the block so he could get a feeling of what was wrong with my car then put my car in the air to see the problem and even brought me in to show me the real what problem was and I’m so grateful that he did that because I wouldnt wasted my money on a part I didn’t need and also they are professional

Fast, affordable, and honest along with excellent customer service.I dropped my car off at 7:45AM, they had the problem diagnosed around 10:30AM, and it was fixed and ready for pick up at 2:45 that afternoon! They are a very small, family owned shop but incredibly fast/efficient and reasonably priced. They run an honest, ethical business which can be hard to come by. I will absolutely take my car there again if I have troubles in the future.HIGHLY recommend!!!

This place was GREAT! Im 17 and a girl. My dad wanted to be the one talking to the mechanic about my car but I wanted the experience of taking care of my own car troubles for the future. They called me the next day, told me what all was actually wrong without trying to sell me anything. Told me how much it would be, then warned me about things to fix in the future that obviously were needed. Very nice and fun to talk to people. They got everything done in one day. I would definitely take your car there. I am going back there anytime I need my car checked out. Easy and way CHEAPER than other places.

Seriously, a great place to go for auto repair. The name fits the company well here. I took two separate cars in, thinking we had some weird issues going on with our cars. Each time, they charged me NOTHING b/c they said they couldnt find a problem. I offered to pay for their labor, but they refused. My wife and I were shocked by their kindness. In fact, they told me I probably just needed a few new tires soon and recommended some good places in town to go to. They also sent me to Iggys to get my door fixed, which turned out to be an amazing recommendation! They turned out to be right, by the way. There really was no issue with either car. I dont usually take our cars in unless something serious is going on. So I was worried they just missed something, but they didnt.The one time they did fix a problem, they fixed it quickly and did an awesome job. I told my whole family they need to start going to these guys. They are the best! You never feel like theyre trying to scam you at all like other shops.

I have taken my 2006 Dodge Stratus into Excellence twice now and I have gotten tremendous business from them. They are always so quick and so professional. Tom and Rene are good, honest business people which is a difficult thing to come by (especially in the automotive industry!). The prices are also fairly reasonable. They are great! To the person who said they were rude you must be like the impatient idiot that came in while I was there today. There were 2 people in there, me included waiting to talk to them. This girl walks in and interrupts the owner while he it talking to someone saying she has a question. He very politely told her so do all these other people waiting here, she can wait her turn. She walked out and slammed the door. No business needs to deal with people like that. To the repair part of it they are great. They do good work at very fair prices. I took my van in because the engine was sputtering. We were moving the next day and needed the van to haul our stuff. He understood our situation and promised to get it fixed asap. 4 hours later the van was running good as new and the price was reasonable. We will be taking our vehicles here from now on!

I took it in and Tom replaced a sensor which turned out to be the wrong solution. I had to take it back twice to try different stuff and they were so pleasant to deal with that I couldnt even be mad about it. They didnt charge me anything after the fist visit even though they put new parts on each time and spent time working on it. Im definitely taking my vehicles here from now on.

My 2002 Chevy PRIZM, Rosie, was in a bad way when I dropped her off at the shop. There were all kinds of ominous noises and clunks, my heater/AC fan only worked on high, and the AC was not very cold anymore. I figured I be paying major bucks to get her back to the great car that shes been for 15 years and over 115,000 miles. Tom and Renee were great. Once they had a chance to get to her, it only took a couple of phone calls to keep me up to date, and less than 3 hours before she was all done and good to go. The bill was very reasonable, and now my Rosie feels like a new car. Ill definitely be going back to have Tom and Renee keep Rosie running in tiptop condition.

I had a ball joint come loose on my truck, which ripped out my front right axel--not the most fun experience to have with a vehicle. I figured I was in for a huge expense to get it fixed--and that it would take a while. I use my truck for my job so it was important to me to get it back on the road as quickly as possible. I called around Omaha and got quotes from maybe 6 other places and got a wide variety of costs and timelines. Only one shop was going to get it done for me THAT DAY--that was Excellence in Auto-Repair. And guess what? They were also the least expensive by a significant amount and used all quality, lifetime warranty parts on my vehicle (other shops quoted me with 3 year warranty parts). Dont waste time calling around to a bunch of other places. The work is done. Take your car here. You wont beat their price or level of service. This is a family run business (husband, wife, two sons, and a dog) and they are fantastic, honest people. I have no relationship with them other than taking my car in one time, but you can just tell they are good people. Most importantly, they are great mechanics. While other mechanics seemed baffled by my car problem, he knew exactly what was going on. He said my issue was fairly rare, but he sees 5-6 vehicles with similar issues every year. I felt very comfortable that he knew what he was doing and it wasnt going to cost me anymore than his initial estimate (didnt pay a penny more than his first quote). They have a new customer for life! Thank you for getting me back on the road!Side note unrelated to being a mechanic, the owner tipped the guy that towed my truck to his shop $20 because the driver had to stay a few minutes longer than usual to get my truck into his garage. My family has been going there for years, they have always been honest and fair with their work and prices I have only had one bad thing happen, my radio got stolen out of my car, but they replaced it for me immediately. I went to a different shop once and they broke my air vents and said i brought it in that way, never going anywhere else again, they definitely take good care of their customers and treat us all like family.

We had just about given up on finding a solution to a chronic shimmy in the steering wheel of our van. We had been told to rotate, align, balance, replace shocks and struts, balance again, perhaps broken axle, etc. We decided to try one more mechanic, Tom. I couldnt believe how simply and quickly he diagnosed the problem: a bad tire. We took it to the place where we had bought them and they ended up prorating the cost to replace them. We were from out of town visiting our daughter during the 4th of July holiday ,when our vans serpentine belt broke. Chose this shop because they did towing, and were close to where we broke down. The tow truck was there in 20 min, Rosy was fabulous, smiley, kind, fun and had us hooked up before we finished our story. We had rented a car to get back to Mpls. expecting a couple days turn around on the repair and we had obligations at home we couldnt cancel. We had just started back to Mpls, when we got the call from the shop. They heard our story and said if we could wait a little bit they would get it fixed. With in about 2 hours, we had our van back, running great, were able to return the rental (savings us a bunch, since we would have had to rent again to return to Omaha to pick up the van when it was repaired) and were headed back to Mpls. Where do I start!? These people ARE AMAZING!!! Lets just say that I have been back in Omaha for only a week or two & Monday night I will be leaving to go back to Georgia. I am driving maybe over 1,015 miles! Close to 15 hours. Before I hit the road again I wanted to do a full check up just to see if I may need to get anything fixed before heading out. First stop was Brakes Plus on 90th Street. The visit made me quite uncomfortable because there were two women ahead of me & the woman behind the desk (Jennifer) told every each and one of us that we had balljoint issues. It moved me a lot because one of the women I knew personally was one out of the two women ahead of me, I went to high school with her years ago. She mentioned that she always get her truck inspected at two different places before she decides to pick a place she feels comfortable with that she can actually trust. She also mentioned that the last car place never said anything about her balljoints. It was funny because I actually watched them pull my truck in & they did not even take my wheels off. How could you possibly say that I have bad balljoints without proper inspection? Moments later Jennifer proceeded to provide me with an estimate for $1,600.00 I was blown away! She then explained to me that I was more than welcome to go out & buy my own parts to install but she would raise the labor price up to $100.00. I just did not feel comfortable at all. Several times I heard them whispering asking one another what did she say was wrong with the truck? As if they had no idea how to inspect an automobile. It was time for me to get a second inspection. I googled reasonable car shops omaha ne. Excellence In Auto Repair was the SECOND listing on Googles search. (Thats always a good sign.) Checked a few reviews & bam, I was on my way to Blondo. The moment I arrived his wife at the desk was SO PERSONAL! (I forgot her name sorry but she was AMAZING.) She treated me as if I were someone she had known for a very long time. Her & Tom were so honest, he actually could not believe Brakes Plus quoted me $1,600.00 Tom immediately pulled my truck in, inspected it & told me what my problems were right away. He was booked with cars so he kept my truck overnight & gave me a ride home, so nice. He wasted NO time! Now back to the balljoints, he pulled off all my tires & checked my balljoints. Turns out it was not even my balljoint!!! It was my control arm. Tom saved me SO MUCH money! A day prior to my visit with Tom, I went to Tommy Tires & they said I needed to replace all of my tires, although I was replacing one. Tom looked at my tires & insisted that it was not necessary to replace all of them & that the tires on my truck would be good for the road. He even switched my tires around & put the best ones in front & put my new one on FOR FREE. I dropped my truck off around 4PM on a Wednesday, it was done about 11AM the next day. They close at 5:30PM & open back up at 8AM. That is about 3 1/2 hours of work! Once the job was done, Tom trailed his son to my house in HIS car & dropped my vehicle off first class! I did not have to take my babies out in the cold, the littlest one was sleeping & I hated to wake her due to her having a stomach virus, so we completed the transaction at my house. His wife is so good, she sent him with exact change for exchange of cash payment. Lol!! Excellence In Auto was sooo honest, helpful and so caring. They are a very loving family and I honestly can see that they love what they do. Its not just about business with them, its very personal... I have never done a review before but I definitely wanted to show my appreciation. If I had to, I was prepared to spend $1,800.00 for my front & back brakes, both rotors, ALL of my front balljoints; plus my tires. But with Toms Excellence I only spent $900.00!! Geesh. You cant beat that. I honestly felt good giving $900.00 bucks away, if I cannot be happy with where I am spending my money then I do not want to do business with you or your company, no one should. GREAT JOB EXCELLENCE IN AUTO!!!!!!!!!
