Great place to live! great rooms, great amenities, great location and the staff is amazing! i couldn’t say more good things about westport on the lake!

I moved in here a year and a half ago, I love the location but it could possibly be the worst place I have ever lived. For one if you are college age you will get treated like a child, as if you don’t deserve the apartment like the rest of the adults with families do. I was in an updated 1 bedroom apartment, but found roommates and decided to move into a non updated 3 bedroom. The updated apartments are very nice but very cheaply made. The non updated apartments are absolutely appalling, they did nothing to make this apartment a moderate place to live previous to us moving in, which they postponed us moving so they could fix everything for 3 weeks. At the beginning of my lease There was a leak on the floor below me so they thought it was my sink, they tore up my wall, which didn’t get filled for 3 days and it has yet to get painted since November. The ceiling got replaced below us but they never thought to check my floor, the trim is falling off of my walls in my kitchen, the floor is moldy and bowing in certain points. I have no holes in my cabinets from the water damage. The fireplace has never worked. I had a Great Dane, which they had told me are very welcomed at this complex and that is not the case at all. I ended up having to place my Great Dane with my family due to the harassment I was facing for having her. I had the humane society called on me 3 times for neglect and abuse for having too small of a home for a large dog and every time the HS came they told me there was not even a point in coming to check out my home. The carpet is dirty and not tucked under the trim so all of my animals have wanted to chew it and eat it, my dogs are trained very well and have never had an issue with carpet. You can easily step on the nails from the carpet which worries me for the pets and children in the complex. There are a lot of fees within the lease, I pay for the lake to be cleaned which never is. There is a dog washing station that has been locked my entire lease, the pool is not heated or clean, and the office has tenants take picture of the people that don’t follow the rules, in my opinion that creates a very hostile environment and it should not be the tenants responsibility to make sure people are following the rules. I attempted to pay online for rent one month and the website had an issue that wouldn’t allow me to pay, but they told me I had non sufficient funds or I had a problem with my bank the two times I tried to pay which then turned into a big ordeal and I am required to pay by money order or cashiers check nothing else is accepted from us which is very inconvenient especially when we all work past bank hours. They still blame us tide the incident and we’ve had to suffer due to their technical issues. I had a Roomate move out part way through the lease, they never checked if we could afford the apartment without the other Roomate and if we couldn’t we would’ve had to end our lease and move somewhere else or we would’ve had to end the current lease and sign a completely new lease sucking us in for a whole other year which would be fine if you weren’t required to pay thousands for new carpet and any damages…. Isn’t that what the deposit is for? The rent after all fees for a 3 bedroom, non updated unit is close to $1800.00 ALL of my windows are broken either they don’t open, stay open, or don’t close all the way, and you can imagine how much I pay to heat and cool this place. I have my water turned off once a week for other repairs in the building. The parking lot is ridiculous, there is not enough parking for all tenants and there are more pot holes than anything. There are bugs, mold, rude neighbors, and the amount of fees I am charged is asinine. I absolutely hate this place and am counting down the days until I can move out. The only thing I am not looking forward to is paying for all of the “damages”.

Nice apartment complex. My in-laws live here, and it has my wife and I looking for something similar.

Recently moved into this complex and at first my roommates and I were in love with the location and lay out. The only reasoning I’m giving two stars is because the square footage of the apartment is nice. Otherwise, the first day in our new place we soon discovered our sink was clogged, ice maker didn’t work, and dryer was broken. The sink was fixed relatively fast (luckily.) in order for the dryer to be fixed we put in four different requests and I called the office twice. Our ice maker has yet to be fixed and we’re coming in three months of living here. They have told us since living here we would be receiving a new patio door (which barely works) once the weather gets nicer. On top of it all, our bathroom vent is falling out of the ceiling, the water softener is leaking and our carpet is soaked, and the light cover in our laundry room fell from the ceiling and shattered! With what we pay in rent, having no lake view, no garage, and barely working appliances I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Well its 7:30 in the morning and there is construction going on. Not happy. We pay more a month for a lake view. So not only is this happening but it cost us more.Plus for the 9 months we have been here the clubhouse and pool have been under construction. No pool, no work out area, and no clubhouse for occasions.

I called this place a week ago and asked about availability for a one bedroom and requested a video tour for both the recommended apartments (since you guys aren’t doing in-person). The lady said she would send two videos and extra information about the apartment/amenities. Never got an email. I even went on the website to message them so they could see my full email thinking they got the email wrong. Still haven’t heard a peep. Not a good look and will not be moving here nor would I recommend this place.

Now that I have lived here for a while, I feel qualified to leave a review. Its a good place to live, quiet, peaceful, no issues with noisy neighbors (knock on wood), the hallways are clean, and the path around the lake is a great place to clear the mind. My unit is spacious and has plenty of storage space. Every time Ive reported an issue they have fixed it within the week. Once my washing machine broke, they fixed it in a few days. Never had any issues as far as appliances breaking down or (heaven forbid) the air conditioning/heating. They are good at communicating with tenants when water will be shut off or theyll need to come into your apartment. The maintenance guys are nice and polite. Also, one of the few apartment buildings in the area that does not make you get a good citizen certificate for a Husky, and best of all they have a pet washing station!Nothing is perfect so here are a few cons:-Ducks and Geese are cool at first, but then you realize how much they poop. I dont even know if theres a point in cleaning the trail around the lake because minutes later itll be littered with poop again. Be prepared to have to wipe your dogs paws after a walk and leave your shoes at the door.-You have to pay ALL utilities. However, considering what youre getting, I think the rent rates are reasonable.-Some of the appliances need updating in some of the units. (I know they did in some units.) I for one am not a fan of my fridge.-Some neighbors will NOT pick up their dogs waste. I wish they did more to enforce this policy. I know some apartments take DNA samples of dogs and if they find waste around the property and it matches the dogs DNA, they get three strikes before the dog has to leave the property. Theres a pet cleaning station everywhere so theres NO excuse to not pick up the waste. It is a health hazard for both humans and other dogs.-During the winter, the property will only remove the snow on its side of the lake, the other side is in charge of the other properties around it (understandable). Usually Westport is good at cleaning its side, but be prepared to not have the whole trail accessible in the winter if youre the hardcore jogger whole jogs even when its freezing cold.-No dog park. :(All in all, Westport is a great place SPECIALLY for people with large dogs. There are perks not available in other properties of similar rent prices (trust me Ive looked), they are more flexible on breed restrictions, and I think the rent prices are reasonable compared to other properties Ive looked at. If you dont have dogs (and dont plan on getting one), you might find a better deal elsewhere if you are willing to compromise on square footage and one or other perk.

Westport is the best apartment community I have lived in. Its quiet, clean, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. Great clubhouse, workout facility, and very nice pool. Its a hidden gem in Millard.

I do agree with her review, and she didn’t even mention the blind they were charged $65 for when it was broken when they moved it (vertical blind taped to the clip) and numerous other issues. This is a Beautiful place to live and I should know cuz I live here but there is always construction and when there is construction they work on it a tiny bit and just leave it. my air conditionerdoesn’t work they fixed it one time but it is still broken and the pool they are working on has been not open for at lest 5 or 6 months. And it’s summer already so why don’t they open it?? I am getting a new house for my family and I am so happy to be leaving this place. But I am also sad cuz my dog loves it here and he loves the ducks going on walks. If u wanna live here go for it but the only thing is they have HORRIBLE management.

We moved here as our first apartment in May of 2016 the lake and central location being the main attraction. Over the 2 years we lived there, the management changed at least 3 times and the things they would try to get away with were ridiculous. We had a broken dishwasher for 6 weeks, a broken washing machine for 4 weeks, and a broken air conditioner for 8 months. After having to repeatedly go in and ask for maintenance to come, they would come in assess what was broken, say they would order a part, and I wouldn’t hear back for another 2.5 weeks until I went BACK in to ask. They said the broken air conditioner ‘wasn’t a priority until it is 90 degrees in your apartment’ I’m sorry what??When we renewed our lease in May 2017 we were not told about the upcoming construction on the pool and clubhouse. So they raised our rent $10 a month and took away our amenities. In February of 2018 we received notice that if we renewed our lease, they would be raising our rent $100 a month to $895 which is absolutely ridiculous for a one bedroom with no lake view or garage.We were very naive because it was our first apartment complex, but we now live in the Oaks at Lakeview (another seldin property) and it is a night and day difference. Now Westport wants me to pay $200 for most last months rent, including a $20 move out fee and other ridiculous charges. OH and they are trying to scam me by saying we did not pay a deposit when we did. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE

Beautiful apartment and view but appliances need replacing/updating and apartment is always cold!

Went here to look at an apartment and the leasing lady was very rude to me and my roommate right when we walked through the door. She acted like she didnt even want us to live there. So we just took our business elsewhere. Who wants to live in a place that has rude staff?
