Been here for almost 2 years and ever since Jamie (leasing office manager) got here, everything has been getting better. In my experience, she’s been very open to working one on one as a team to figure out solutions to problems you have and doesn’t ever forget about you. I’m never worried about waiting too long for my maintenance requests or any other problems fixed anymore. This place is beautiful all year long. It feels like you’re living in a little ski lodge in the winter too!

We really love a lot about living at Latvian Village! They are very dog friendly, people friendly (haha), and it is truly like a hidden gem in the perfect convenient location (close to everything you need and the interstate). We have had a few minor maintenance issues, and they were all taken care of in a very timely manner. Everyone I have met that lives here is kind and respectful, which can be hard to find! We definitely recommend this place.

Never rent with Richdale. Once you sign the paperwork, youre locked in unless you pay your entire years rent and opt out of the automatic renewal. Theyre completely inconsistent and dishonest. You either have a great leasing manager or a terrible one; its 100% out of your control. Richdale loves to skirt questions off until youve signed the paperwork. When I moved in here they falsely claimed to have a clubhouse. It was literally an empty, dilapidated building. Some of their employees outright lie to your face, leaving no sense of trust whatsoever. Just look at their ratings and reputation online. They get sued so often that they are also listed under a second business name Slosburg. I cant even begin to elaborate how terrible the maintenance and contractors were. Never on time, love entering your apartment when youre not home, never leave tags saying when they were there and what they did; the only thing consistent about them was that they always try to leave without doing a thorough job. Then they treat you like a total jerk when their botched job isnt acceptable to you. No matter what community you live in, the corporate office will never lift a finger to help you. Any Richdale community is a great recipe to be beside yourself with rage on a regular basis. Look at the other Richdale community ratings -- absolutely none of them have consistently good ratings because they are an inconsistent property company.

Bryan is an incredible property manager. It was over 100 degrees and he still went back and forth between buildings making sure we got to see all the available units more than once. The property has a beautiful rustic charm, mature trees and lots of shade. Our unit has completely been redone. Great living space!

Latvian Village is one of the best places I have lived thus far. The staff and the residents you live next to are like family. If you ever need anything they get it done immediately and with a smile on their face. This place is not like any other apartment community, with it being smaller you want to stay forever. I never hear my neighbors and if i do its in the hallway and they are saying hi. My apartment is HUGE and so are the rest of the ones on property. And I cant wait for the pool this summer... SALT WATER! YES! All i have to say is Im not leaving :)

Weve lived here for 8 months now and havent experienced any issues. Lauren has been very quick to get any requests addressed and taken care of. Our building is nice and quiet and the residents are the same way. We havent had any issues with maintenance or car break-ins, either. We ended up at Latvian Village because of another Richdale apartments mix up, but I am glad we found this place!

I can safely say that this is the worst place I have ever rented from and the only I would not recommend. I lived there for close to 2 years.Lets start with the amenity fee they introduce at the beginning and work our way into specific incidences I encountered. The amenity fee covers the club house (and the gym), your cable and I assume the pool. The problem is that the club house and gym dont exist. They said they would be rebuilding it, but that is a lie. In the time that I lived there it went from an old building, to an old building with ceiling pieces laying on the floor and trash scattered about in the windows. I would assume drifters live in it.These luxury apartments might have you convinced that youll be comfy, but in total I lacked AC for WELL OVER A MONTH in the middle of the summer. They sent someone to refill the refrigerant in it a few times, before starting to stall the process. The unit had a broken A Coil, so filling it was about a 30 minute fix. They told me to keep running it and it would take hold. This resulted in a $200 electric bill for one month (normally $60), which after multiple phone calls they agreed to give us $100 back. Never again did they refund any money, despite the awful experience.Later, we had service men in and out of our apartment every few days, because our downstairs neighbor had a water leak so bad that their ceiling was caving in. There was nothing coming from our apartment.Toward the end of my prison sentence at Latvian Village, car break-ins became somewhat of a weekly thing, eventually leading to my wifes car being broken into. We called the police and they said they had several complaints, so we asked the office about some better lighting or maybe a camera. They said no.Around then, we moved to an apartment from Broadmoor, which has been significantly better. I would recommend renting from literally anyone else. These people will take advantage of you every single time they can.NOTICE: Their lease terms make it very hard to leave. They have a 60 day notice policy (most have 30 day) and if you break your lease early you must pay it in full or pay for it until someone else rents it. I lived in a building where half of the apartments were empty for at least 12 months, so dont let them convince you they are trying to refill your unit.

I chose one star because there was nothing lower. Latvian Village is a beautiful place, needs a lot of upgrading, but as far as management goes, RUN!!!!!! In my 16 months there, there were more than 16 managers, if you want consistent honest answers, maintenance issues dealt with in a timely manor, a well lit parking lot (if you can find a space), safetly issues dealt with, dont expect anything. The maintenance staff is great, but there are not enough of them to take care of all the issues so you have to wait... months. Most importantly, Richdale Properties is well practiced at taking advantage of renters. You may, or not, enjoy your time there, but get ready at move out, they will bleed you dry. Try getting a straight answer from corporate, good luck, everyone tells you something different. Just got a $670 bill, been out over a month and a half, still trying to milk me for things I was told OCT 9 I was clear with, accused me of past pet bill for a dog...I never had. Do NOT EVER rent from any Richdale Property.

The single worst complex Ive ever lived in. Ive experienced the exact same things as everyone else posting here, and more! If youre looking for people to be accountable, dont look here. They all throw the problem over the fence to the next person and then as a defense say, they shouldnt have said that... whoops, thats incorrect.Lets get started on this whirlwind of an awful place, shall we? We viewed our apartment nearly 3 months before we moved in (we moved from out of state). It was vacant at the time. On move-in day, they called us, while we were driving huge moving trucks down the interstate, to tell us that the carpet cleaners were JUST NOW going in to clean carpets. We couldnt put a single thing in those rooms when we arrived and it was more than a pain. There were 11 other items that were noted on our lease signing day (3 months before move in) that were promised to be fixed and were never done (and most still arent done). I wont waste your time listing them here.Lets keep going... for that hassle, they offered to give us 2 free days of rent. Pretty pointless, but I appreciated the effort at first. But wait for it... they didnt apply those 2 days credit until months later when pressed and said wed finally have to get our attorney involved. 2 days.Stove didnt work on move in, Dryer was completely clogged - exhaust was clogged, fridge wasnt connected appropriately, keys didnt work (incurred over $300 in late fees because we couldnt get into our garage with the keys given on move-in day, and Richdales phone answerer said, Oh well, youll have to wait or pay $150 for someone to come back. moving on...4 (YES FOUR) leaks somewhere in our plumbing kept the maintenance man in our apartment NUMEROUS times for the first several months... and genuinely ruined any kind of peaceful environment for the neighbors below that couldnt go for 2 days without someone coming to cleanup the leaking mess for them either. And get this... they fixed the wrong toilet, the wrong shower, the wrong sink... after SEVEN visits, they stopped the leak.It took them 5 months to seal holes in the drywall (actual rough drywall never mudded) after I moved in. 5 months. When the apartment sat vacant for months before we moved in.There was a cat here before us that has sprayed the carpets, and its potent in one room. I mentioned this to the front desk, and we were told it wasnt detected before move in, and therefore, they cant be sure it isnt our cat... when we didnt have a cat for the first several months. Classy.Sink has now been plugged for 3 days in the kitchen. Called twice. No return call.Hang on... theyre going to try to sell you on their free cable included spiff. Make sure the cable in your actual apartment WORKS before you jump at that! Ours doesnt. To rip out the wiring and have it replaced is a minimum of $1,000 and MY responsibility, per Cox. Joy.Want to know the worst part? Our vehicle was stolen here, along with at least 3 others - within 3 months of each other. Thats not the complexs fault... but it is their ongoing issue if they refuse to do anything about it. They put up 2 flood lights and hired a security officer to drive through... thats what they say, but no ones ever seen them. Annnnnnd, another car was stolen. The officer thats responded to 2 of these thefts said this is a common problem here. I have not looked up the stats myself, but should have!Funny thing, when my daughter was hospitalized, and we missed the rent deadline (barely!), they had their collection guy call us IMMEDIATELY... but we need a livable apartment and exactly what we paid for (at an ungodly price for what it offers) and theyll put you off for 6 months. And when she tells you shes going to make everything right, shes so sorry, and shes never had a tenant experience anything like this... shes lying. Dont trust anyone here. Dont rent here. Dont live here. Dont even look at an apartment here. Theyre smooth talkers that fall miserably short.

I am a current resident at Latvian Village and it has been nothing but problems. My family has only lived here for 4 months and have had more maintenance issues than I have ever experienced in my entire 20 years of renting. It took five times for them to fix our leaking furnace. I had a leak in my main bathroom ceiling twice. The first time I called they had the maintenance guy come out after hours for him to tell me there was nothing he could do and if it leaks again to not call him, but wait to call the office. The second time I had the same leak this week, I waited and called first thing in the morning just to have the maintenance guy come out 11 hours later….not to fix it, but to just tell me there was a leak in the apartment upstairs (as if I didn’t already know). By this time, the leak traveled to my master closet and ½ bath. Which this was the second time this has happened, also. They assured me they fixed it the first time. They said it was a plumbing issue and had to cut a hole in the master closet to apparently fix. However, this obviously didn’t fix it since it happened a second time and I can only assume at this point it may take several more times to fix it correctly as it did with the furnace.About a week after moving in, I called about our fridge leaking. It was finally fixed this week (hopefully) after four months! The maintenance guy actually told the leasing office he fixed the fridge before, when in fact he never even came out to look at it. Funny that this week, he also told them he fixed the leak in the bathroom this week too, but never looked at it when he was out for the fridge. When we moved in the apartment, it needed some things fixed and was told to turn in the move in check list so they could get started working on it. I was told back in June that they would get started on it…well, that has never happened either. On top of all this, my husband’s vehicle was broken into and several things were stolen out of it. Several residents have had their vehicles broken into and even one had their vehicle stolen. I was told they hired security, but I’ve never seen them. The laundry room floods, making it difficult to even to laundry.Moving to Latvian Village has been nothing but problems for my family. My husband and I work opposite schedules and with all the maintenance issues, my husband can’t sleep during the day with maintenance people coming in all the time. These aren’t one day fixes. They end up cutting holes in the wall and have to return several times to patch the walls, paint, bringing in fans to dry the carpet from the constant leaks, etc. I have had to miss work to be home for some of these issues. It’s a nightmare and the worst renting experience. The amount of rent we pay does not even come close to the standard of living we should have. I recently contacted corporate because I want out of my lease. Apparently they didn’t know any of this. The leasing office has never advised me to call them with maintenance issues. There is apparently a new manager and they informed me she didn’t know any of this as if that was my problem. I guess it’s the tenant’s problem that no one there communicates with anyone. Save yourself the problems, and look elsewhere to live.
