I really enjoyed the acrylic fill that I got done at Kims Pro Nails. Joe did a great job. He shaped them so nicely (although I dont love that it was extra $ for a coffin shape). Overall, my nails are very strong and look very sleek. I will definitely be going back!

Kim got my wedding party off 5 all in at the same time and took care of us all and made sure we all had a great experience. Super fun and clean salon as well as staff. I’ll be back soon!

The gentleman tech who assisted me also educated me! He gave me his honest opinion for the best finishing option (gel v. dip) in order to achieve a healthy, strong natural nail while immediately enhancing the esthetic and strength of my nails. The result: Gorgeous, sturdy nails that can withstand a working moms busy, challenging and demanding day.

The employees were kind of rude.My nails polish got messed up as soon as I came out of the building. The gentleman who did my pedicure did a good job on my toes, but he was very quiet.All the employees were talking to each other in their own native language. Its okay, but I wish they would tried to talk to their customers a little bit more.NOT sure, about coming back.

Received a full set for $50. I asked for an American manicure but ultimately received a French manicure, which is okay considering the length of tips that I needed as my nails are short. Less than 4 days after the acrylic was applied, my nails are pulling away from my nail beds, and they look awful. I had to cover them with polish just to tolerate their appearance.Also, the technician joe, cut me twice on the same finger while filing the acrylic edges. He apologized, but this is just unacceptable. Also, the same equipment was used for everyone, which should have been a huge red flag immediately that I subsequently ignored, my bad. Overall the staff were friendly, but the quality is poor and I wouldnt return.

I walked in for a pedicure, there was a bit of a wait but they let me sit in the pedicure chair while I waited. Quality is great and everyone was so nice. Will definitely be going back!

Newman hand-painted such beautiful work on my nails. Very professional, pleasant, and respectful (as usual).

Went here for a gel manicure once the polish came off on 2 days. I gave them another shot. Gel polish chipped in less than 24 hours. Also got a pedicure and the polish came off in 3 days. It was not an $80 well spent in my opinion. Very sad.

Great place, saw one gentleman for pedicure. He did a good job as did the lady who did my manicure. Will be back.

1. I was originally told that getting my dips off was going to be$10 and they ended up charging me $15-which I believe was only bc I changed my mind about getting my nails painted bc I wasnt sure if I could have them painted for school.2. One gentleman kept trying one layer at a time but really not doing anything and then leaving me to sit there forever. A female finally came over and got them off right away and actually tried. Cheers to her not to him.3. My nails looks horrible and had deep gauges in them and I asked them to make them look nice after. I was told if I wash my hands theyd be fine...they werent theyre destroyed.4. Kind of glad I didnt get my nails painted there because they probably would have been average or below and they would have cost a lot more than average. I will not be going back or recommending them

Ive been coming to Kims Since 1988,thats 384 months - which means Ive had my nails done 384 times in 32 years. Only twice I didnt like my nails, and my nails were fixed & made better, Id say thats the best rating ever. If you want your nails done -- this is the place. My newest nail tech is Newman - he does an amazing job, so does Sallena, and Kim - well they all most likely do. I just have my favorite nail techs.

This is one day after getting my nails done. They have the worst customer service too. When I went back in to get it redone, they had me sitting for about 30 minutes before anyone looked at me. Overall was a terrible experience. The guy who did my nails hurt me about 4-5 times. They did not take their time when painting and they are all starting to chip off the top. Wouldn’t recommend it for anyone.

Kim’s Pro nails is an on trend professional nail salon.I have problems with callouses and they suggested a cream that has really helped! As far as my manicures; they are up on all of the techniques that others in the are are not! The service is great and they know what they are doing!

The people who work here are VERY rude. This was the first time I had been here because I couldnt get to my regular salon. I was the only customer in the salon at the time and the woman who did my nails (who I believe is the owner) was extremely rude. She got mad when I didnt get all the oil completely off my nails when I went to wash my hands and rudely told me to go back. The man who checked me out did not say a word to me other than where to sign. No thank you, no nothing! I felt like I was a huge bother to me them by being there. As far as my nails, they were done nicely but I can go to plenty of other places for just as nice nails. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere more professional. Its amazing to me places with this poor of an attitude even stay in buisness.

Ive been on my nail journey at Kims for over 10 years now. Started for Homecoming & Prom acrylics then kept them consistently after graduation as well. Fast forward about 5 years & I was introduced to no chip gel polish 😍 was a pretty easy transition for me from fake to natural!.With Kims advice, we played around with different shapes to see what worked best for me. We stuck with round & theyve TAKEN OFF since then. Ive also switched to the natural dip powder since theyre so long now I prefer the extra stability the dip provides & have changed to a more pointy/almond shape. In the end Im always in LOVE with how my nails look when I leave, thats what keeps me coming back..Ill never cheat on Kims. Theyre always professional & provide an enjoyable experience no matter what service. The staff strive to accommodate all requests & designs to the best of their ability. Their consistency is unmatched!.

Most careful, detailed set of acrylics Ive ever gotten! Didnt nick me once and they are beautifully straight even though I get a difficult shape. Very happy, Ill be coming back. Prices are also fantastic.

I got a pedicure done 2 days ago, and they are already chipped. The water was cold, and there was no massage. The nail tech just rubbed in lotion, not massaged at all. Very dissatisfied and will not be returning.

I understand COVID-19 changes everything! Except when we went there my bill ended up being $80 more then I figured according to their signage for pricing. When I asked how come so much more. The lady went over it and kept using different pricing on everything. As she never got up from her seat. Kept asking with everyone listening. Saying do you need to break it down for you in a rude tone. The board doesn’t read that price and could be easy to change. Some how a mani pedi is $80 each when the board clearly states $40 for a basic( nothing fancy the basic). Worst experience. The work is good but the lady is rude, not good business ethics

I called right before I went there asking if there was any wait for a full set. They said “no, no wait.” Since I was on my lunch break, I needed somewhere that could get me in and out quickly. The first thing I notice is they don’t even have the polish on nails for you to see what the color looks like. That’s an F for effort. I picked out a color and sat on the couch. Waited 10 minutes, 15....20. I’m watching this girl on her phone doing a customers nails between text messages. Finally, another employee acknowledges me to say it’ll be “soon”. I ask how much longer, as I’ve already been waiting 20 minutes and I had been told there was no wait and I was told 10 more minutes. I politely said this wouldn’t work and was the exact reason why I called ahead. Didn’t get a sorry, goodbye, have a good day, nothing. They are a sorry excuse for a store compared to Modern Nails in Champaign. I’ll just stick with them.

I love going to Kims! I always receive outstanding service and I leave satisfied with the final product. A friend recommended me to the salon and I have been going ever since. If youre looking for a nail salon, this is the place to go!

**BEST NAIL SALON IN BLOOMINGTON-NORMAL** I was very fortunate to get an appointment today, Friday May 29th on the first day that Kim reopened her salon after nonessential businesses were closed due to state & federal guidelines. I was so impressed with all of the safety precautions taken: plastic dividers, and technicians wearing gloves, masks and eyewear. I wore my mask and never once felt uncomfortable or at risk. I was so happy to be there! A manicure and pedicure were just what I needed after quarantine and the staff made me feel relaxed and refreshed. It was honestly just like before, except we were all wearing masks. And the quality of my no-chip mani and pedi were excellent as usual, and it will last me 3 weeks at least (longer on my toenails). I am so happy to have my local nail salon back up and running!

Out of all of the salons I’ve been to in Bloomington since moving here two years ago this is by far the best! They are always super professional and friendly. I’ve always been greeted right when I walk in by Kim. I’ve had several different nail styles and each time I’ve come, they’ve been done very VERY well. I recommend Kim’s to anyone seeking top notch services. Refreshments are offered and I always feel very well taken care of.

Didnt like the service I was giving at all

If I could give 0 stars, I really would. I am not one to write reviews very often, but if you are considering going here, save your money. My friend and I have gone here a few times, hoping that we would get better service each time. I have gotten no-chip manicures many times before, and they usually last me at LEAST two weeks without chipping, if not more. After my last time getting a no-chip manicure at Kim’s, they chipped 4 DAYS LATER. The employees are not very friendly, especially the owner, and they seem offended when you ask them to fix something or do it a slightly different way. If I’m spending money, I want my nails to look good and last a while, and I also want to have a good experience. Bottom line: Kim’s Pro Nails is not the place to go.

I love the environment at Kim’s almost as much as I love my nails! The staff is always friendly and on time for appointments and I’ve never had a set of nails or pedicure that’s disappointed me. Kim always goes out of her way to squeeze me in even if I can the same day for an appointment or just walk in.

I would not recommend this shop. The nail technician who worked on my nails was extremely rude! He originally started doing my nails and did not ask me one question, not even about the services I wanted. He started taking off my dip nails and suddenly chopped off the majority of my REAL nail!! WITHOUT EVEN ASKING. I am assuming he thought I had acrylic on... bad move. To make matters worse he did not even apologize. There were two other mess ups during my service, still no apology. I will not be going back and for anyone who reads this I would advice the same.

Ive been coming to Kims since I was in high school. Thats been about 10 years. I love Kim and her staff!! I havent gone anywhere else since Ive started using them. Every time I walk in Im greeted by the whole staff!! Kim does an amazing job and always works with my schedule to get me in. All the other staff also do amazing work! Would recommend everyone to come here!!

I get manicures and pedicures here occasionally and have always had good experiences in line with expectations of a speedy Asian salon (vs. a full service salon). I tend to alternate back and forth between a pedicure here and one at a full service salon, because the dont exfoliate and treat as well as a full service (typical of speedy nail salons), but they do a good job and everyone in here is nice. They offer you water, and the massage chairs are good. You might want to take your own polish, however, as their selection is somewhat limited.

I love this place! Kim gives the best manicures in town! She is so easy to communicate with and its super easy to make appointments with her. Not all places in town take appointments or theyre not prompt with actually meeting your appointment time...but dont worry about that with Kim! She is meticulous in her attention to detail. Kim is a fabulous nail tech. I’ve been going to her since I moved into Bloomington about a year and a half ago. She does a great job everytime she has never let me down, she takes her time and make sure that your nails is just the way you like them. It’s very hard to find someone that does nails this well. I find that usually you’re rushed through, they throw paint on at the end so they can get the next person in the chair. That is not at all the experience you will have here.. Kim and Selena are both amazing.

First off my original nail tech is castle nails I love the warmth u feel there due to remodeling their closed. So I went to Kim’s pro nails just for a fill-in the lady I had was rude she seemed as if she didn’t wanna be at work today. While sitting getting my nails filled I observed, they spoke to everyone entering and exiting with a “hi, have a good day, etc”. Not to turn this into a racial debate, but it’s like if your black your not tipping so they automatically assume they’re not getting a tip. Their service is horrible and my nail is crooked. They nail tech didn’t put the nail polish all on my finger...my nails look as if I’ve had them on for weeks. Nobody spoke to me or had any conversation with me, I left and don’t even get a “goodbye or have a good day!”. Everybody that left before me were greeted as they exited. Overall I was not pleased with the service...I will NOT ever recommend anyone to ever spend money in that establishment.

I had my first visit to Kim’s nails today and was pleased. They were quick to get me in and very friendly. I found out at the end that they do not accept tips on a credit card and I don’t carry cash, so that is something to know if you plan to visit.

The new deluxe pedicure is totally worth it! I wasnt sure at first since they come in a package but was amazing. It was accompanied by a 5 Star massage, only thing missing was hot rock massage. I will be checking back in next time Im in town.
