Very unprofessional, I tried to trade a watch in, and they gave it back because the misunderstood the size of the movement of the pocket watch. This was after they accused me of sending in a watch that was broken as they could not get it started. Very unprofessional! Then they charged me 250 bucks for insured shipping to send my watch back! I had to have the credit card cancel the charges to get my money back. I would stay away.

I add a second star because Mrs. & Mr. Faber have an exquisite taste in jewelry. I used to be a regular client here, until a few years ago a blond lady joined them, and in my opinion shes THE GROSSEST SALESPERSON, and she shouldnt have a job where she has contact with people! Since them Ive been keeping away. Pity.

Avoid! Dishonest. Aaron Faber Gallery sold me a water damaged and rusted Patek Phillippe watch and would not return or exchange it after 10 day return period. At time of purchase watch was described as freshly serviced and in rust free perfect condition.

Are you planning to consign your valuables at Aaron Faber Gallery? STOP! Take a deep breath and search for another option such as selling your valuables online. You will get so little money for your jewelry and valuables here. It is not worthy. They will pay you in more than 30 days, you will need to chase them for your money; such as calling and leaving them messages. I learned the hard way, and I dont want another person to feel disappointed as I do. If you go there to sell, go with a family member or best friend, so both of you can ask questions because they are not transparent or genuine. They do not openly disclose vital information about payment time. Ask questions and good luck.

Although I have never visited the gallery in person, I have been having amazing shopping experiences with Aaron Faber Gallery for years. Felice has always gone out of her way to show me the best of their spectacular selection of contemporary jewelry. She seems to know what would work best for me even before I know it. It is quite something when you can have such a personal shopping experience from a remote location. She sends me the photos and information I need to make a good, sound decision; I highly recommend this gallery and this salesperson!

Bought a ring there on approval. Returned the ring within a week. After many days waiting for my return check, it finally came. Only the numbers were inverted so they shorted me four hundred dollars. They didn’t seemed surprised when I called and said I was sending the check back for the correct amount, I always wondered if it really was unintentional because it didn’t feel like it. Now that I see other reviews, I was lucky to get the check in the right amount.

I have bought three exquisite pieces of jewelry at this delightful store - so far.All three were as presents, and all three were extremely well received.I have bought both estate pieces (a watch) as well as hand-made contemporary pieces. All are one-off, and each is now a special piece for the recipient. The staff at Aaron Faber are fantastic - very knowledgeable, very personal, very helpful, and truly friendly.Buying jewelry is a special event in life, so it should be enjoyable both when buying, as well as giving. At Aaron Faber, I have always been able to find a unique piece that I am proud to give, rather than some mass-produced bracelet or Pandora charm.

I’m having the exact same situation as the previous review from 3D. After weeks of emailing generic emails (the staff was apparently laid off) I am now almost 50 days unpaid. It was confirmed my watch was sold (after I hounded them) and have had no contact from them after repeated emails to various addresses.Their service when selling me watches were impeccable, I trusted them completely based on that relationship to consign with them and now I am left with regret and little recourse.Update 5/26/2020I wish we had better news and after months of attempting to collect the payment for the Patek Phillipe as mentioned above, we are now forced to seek counsel to recoup the debt owed to us. Edward Fabers arrogance and disregard for his contractual agreement are substantiated by email chains and contracts. He tried to use the pandemic to squirm out of this debt and now we have the ugly task of going to court. Calls unanswered, emails ignored, his woeful disregard for his obligations are obvious and we have given him months of good will and benefit of the doubt.Back in 2013, our family purchased three time pieces from him for $90,000, one of which is the Patek as referenced above. The service when purchasing the watch was great. I found him to be a little arrogant but that type of attitude is not unfamiliar to the luxury retail market. In October of 2019, we decided to consign the watch with him and dropping off the watch and the valuation went rather smoothly, I completely trusted him and felt his many years in business and his prominent street address gave me a sense of ease. I soon began to lose my trust in February (after hearing no status update for months)- eventually his consignment manager- a person whom Id never met named Dani confirmed the watch was sold in February. This is where the trouble began. I was quoted 2 weeks in email then when that date arrived with not check I called and emailed. I was told per our contract they had 36 days to pay us. Okay.I patiently waited. Then shelter-in-place occurred and I gave him an extra 2 weeks assuming that the check would arrive to my mailbox any day. I figured the timing with world events probably delayed things a but but since the watch was sold prior to the pandemic- we would not encounter any issues.Boy was I wrong, after tens of messages and tracking him down through contacts in NYC and even emailing him via LinkedIn (!) I finally got a short email from him asking me to call him. On the phone he assuaged my concerns and blamed the pandemic saying that he could not enter his office to cut a check. Obviously a lie, since everything is done electronically but I figured with his age, perhaps he was that analog and waited. Then the following week he said he had to make weekly payments of $5000 until the debt was cleared. We understood and although felt very uneasy about it- offered him more good will and waited. Mind you, he did not offer any compromises- it was very arrogant and was a very take it or leave it attitude. It took him another week to send the agreement. When the agreed upon date came around (may 15th) surprisingly we heard nothing. Until now we have not been paid and have received no word from his side. We are now pursuing this matter in court. Will update when and if this situation is resolved. Don;t do business with him. They are slime. They also fired all of their loyal staff with no severance. Do business with anyone else but him. Ive waited this long before writing this harsh review but I now have no recourse and have run out of good will- I dont want this to happen anyone else. Heed the other similar reviews and I am disappointed in myself for not first doing adequate due diligence when deciding to cosign the timepiece.

I have worked with Felice at Aaron Faber for quite a few years now. She has helped me find quite a few dream watches over the years and Im 100% satisfied. Do Not Trust These People. I purchased a 6 year old Rolex in Feb 2016. Faber gave a 2 year warranty which says the watch is water resistant for 20 years. 6 months after my purchase the face filled with moisture. The crown was fully screwed down. They refused to honor the warranty and charged me $500 to repair the watch.

Was referred by a few colleagues who have been fans for years.Called looking for a specific watch for my father in hopes of replacing an old Heuer he lost. A newer version was available, but heart set on finding original from 60s. They offered to do a search. Was happily surprised to get a call back 2 months later.Gave it to Dad at Christmas and his reaction was priceless. Knowledgeable staff & good that this 50 y.o. watch has a warranty. Overall positive experience.

You wont find any bargains here, but they have some nice timepieces on hand, no doubt about it. I was assisted by Felice, who was helpful at the onset, but soon began to act as if she was doing me a favor selling me this watch. The watch was listed as never been worn, but once I made it into the store to look at the watch, it clearly had signs of wear. After pointing out that it was listed as never worn, Felice argued with me that it wasnt, until we had to bring up the actual website to settle the argument. After proving it was listed as never worn the story changed quickly to it wasnt worn a lot. There were marks on the crystal and the crown would not pull out to set the time.Felice offered to have their watchmaker fix the issues, so I left a deposit on the watch. When I was notified the watch was ready, I asked what was done to repair the watch and got a very wishy washy story about whether the crown was working correctly and what was done to repair it. When I pressed for a more reassuring answer, I was told that I was the kind of customer who would never be satisfied no matter what they did, and was urged to take my deposit and search elsewhere for a more conventional watch. Insulting and unprofessional.

Sunday, February 18, 2018The very first time I brought a watch needing repairs to Aaron Faber, it was a vintage 1970 stainless steel Rolex Date that was in extremely bad condition. This 1970 Rolex Date was in obviously bad shape, was not running, and any turning of the crown would make the dial shake very aggressively. A long story made short, Aaron Faber did a miraculous job of repairing this classic 1970 Rolex Date. The interior of the rear cover and bracelet are stamped 70, indicative of the year of manufacture; which is something Rolex does not engrave on their watches any more. Thanks to Aaron Faber Jewelers, this watch is now an absolutely gorgeous, and still waterproof treasure. When I clean it, it really very beautifully reflects sunlight.Today, this 1970 Rolex Date operates in every way, like a brand new watch, and not at all like a timepiece that is 48 years old.The great results of this very first experience I had with Aaron Faber gave me the confidence to bring them another repair job: a 1950s yellow gold Rolex Day Date 6611. This classic Rolex Day Date, when I became its owner, ran perfectly, very reliably kept perfect time, and its display would change very precisely, at the stroke of midnight. Its problem was that the days of the week had corroded so much, they were basically impossible to read.I had had a previous good experience with Aaron Faber, and so back to them I went with this rare and very early Rolex President.Several hours after bringing this Rolex Day-Date home again, a new problem appeared. At about 1:00 or 2:00 a.m., I saw that the Date Numeral had jumped several days too far ahead. At first, I stared very hard at the Date Window in total confusion and I really did not want to believe what I was seeing. Then I corrected it. A night or two later, it happened again. When I went back to Aaron Faber, Maria refused to take back the watch, and did not offer any refund or any other type of compensation for what was now a DISASTER!!! The dream repair shop I thought I had found, had now become an extremely painful NIGHTMARE!!!I am a Gentleman, and I did not resort to yelling, screaming, or any threats of litigation.I just very quietly, but now very angrily walked out of there with my watch. While walking back to my train, I felt so sad, so extremely insulted, and so very deeply disrespected that I thought I might get physically sick. I can clearly remember very desperately wondering what I should do. Several different thoughts raced through my mind, but I could not think clearly at all. I was very badly shaken up.Several months later, I decided to take this very early Rolex President to Manhattan Time Services, located at 2 West 46 Street, Suite 308.After several attempts, and my personal loss of hundreds and hundreds of more dollars being spent, their very skilled Watchmaker was finally able to prevent the Date Numeral jumping 2 or 3 days at a time any more. But instead of the display changing over precisely at midnight, it now happened at 12:04 a.m., 12:05 a.m., etcetera. As a private citizen, and not the owner of a shop, I totally get it that parts for vintage watches are no longer mass produced, and as the years continue to pass, they only keep getting more and more difficult to find.At Tourneau, ( I also visited them very desperately seeking help) and Wempe, ( I went to see them too) they no longer accept classic watches for servicing, regardless of the manufacturers brand name. That being said, shouldnt a paying customer, at the very least, be very strictly warned beforehand that youll do absolutely nothing about it if an operation performed on a historic watch produces completely DISASTROUS results? At best, their skills areHit or Miss. One thing is for certain: THEY HAVE NO MORAL COMPASS!!!Basically dismissing me after giving me my watch back in worse shape than it was when I brought it to them is something that I cannot ever forgive them for.

I first learned of this gallery a few years ago from another collector. Since then I have wanted to visit for myself. Having had the chance last year, I purchase a 1970 Omega flightmaster from the gallery. While there I was assisted by Alex Gadilov. In examining the watch, I was impressed by its condition but noticed that the time set crown was so tight it was not possible to set the time. In addition, I noticed that the sub-dial I mistook for small seconds was not moving. I was told at the time that the seconds hand had become detached from the movement. Having noticed the functional irregularities, I agreed to purchase the watch only if it would be fully cleaned and serviced by an official Omega service center. Alex assured me this would be done stating the service center was just around the corner.A few days later, I received an email from Alex stating, “The watch does not require Omega’s attention as there is nothing wrong with the movement. We just need to place the seconds hand back to the movement.” I found this disconcerting for two reasons. The first, a full servicing and cleaning by an official Omega service center was an explicit part of our agreement. The second, after researching the watch, I learned that it has no seconds hand. The sub-dial we mistook for small seconds was a 24hr AM/PM dial. I find it hard to believe that the watch was examined in enough detail to determine that it was fully functional if Alex is still asserting that a non-existent seconds hand needs only be placed back to the movement (I do not believe he could be confusing this with the chronograph seconds as that hand was fully functional at the time of purchase). Upon explaining this via email to Alex, I was advised to stick to contemporary watches in the future. This sort of dealing does nothing to enhance the reputation of the gallery. At this time, Alex has agreed to refund the purchase amount.
