I have been to so many jewelry stores in the diamond district, as well as all over Manhattan, and Sashka Jewelry is by far the best. Isaac, the owner, is so friendly and helpful. These are wonderful people. I came in with a screenshot of a ring I liked (with a few exceptions) and no clue of where I found the photo and they worked with me to recreate it and I couldnt be happier. I had a decent budget for creating this ring and Sashka was the first Jeweler in the Diamond District that didnt give me a speech, sales pitch, or look when I said I wanted a lab created stone. I think this was the 7th store I walked into and it was just refreshing to not be sold on something else andthats why I choose them to make my ring. They knew what I was looking for and over the span of a few weeks showed me a dozen or more stones until I found the right one. I have no experience with jewelers and I just think I got so incredibly lucky to have my first time be such a dream with such nice people.

As probably most average men, I was a bit lost when it came to buying for my now fiancée, an engagement ring. After several days of doing online research on how and where to buy a ring in NYC, Sashka Jewelry kept showing up, from google reviews, yelp, online forums, etc. and they all mentioned the great experience they had with Isaac from Sashka. So I called him up and made an appointment, and made my way to the diamond district in NYC. A young lady and a young man greeted me and made me feel very welcomed, not pushy at all and started showing me the ring options they had, then Isaac showed up and I could understand why all the great reviews. Isaac was very straight up, to the point, and no nonsense approach. He asked me what my budget was, and based on that, he showed me several options of diamonds and rings, he took the time to explain the pros and cons of the different diamonds and was very patient with me. Once I was comfortable with the diamond and ring, he told me he would have it ready in three days. One day before pickup, I called him and asked him if he could engrave the inside of the ring, he did a great job. I proposed to my now fiancée last night, with a beautiful sunset at a remote beach. She LOVES the ring, and according to her, it is exactly what she wanted.Isaac also mentioned that we could always go back to his store for any adjustments and cleaning, so we will definitely be going back to Sashka for cleaning and for our wedding bands. Was not impressed with this establishment at all. Walked in to browse the engagement rings and was given attitude right off the bat. I was being scrutinized for not knowing exactly what I wanted. I asked to try on one of the rings and kept getting looked at weirdly. As if they thought I was going to run out with it. I showed the owner a couple of jewelry pieces I had that I wanted to see if I can reset. He basically snapped at me saying the diamonds were yellow and needed to be clean and he cannot help me out. I would avoid and go somewhere with better customer service and somewhere that would help you pick something you like.

Right before COVID I had started to plot my proposal during a summer family vacation. Unfortunately much of my plans were on hold as retail stores shuttered and I was unwilling to purchase online. Luckily, stores reopened two weeks prior to our planned trip. The pressure to find a credible jeweler grew and so I decided why not give the famous NYC diamond district a shot. As soon as I stepped foot into the area I was immediately approached by people trying to lure me into stores. Of course this was expected based on previous research but it became overwhelming. Understanding my tight deadline which I was set to travel in 4 days, Isaac and Brenda were beyond patient, explained the 4 C’s for rings of interest and offered honest opinions. The rest is history. AMAZING customer service. I walked in several stores to buy GIA certified diamond studs. Many stores were extremely pushy and make you feel pressured. This was not the case at Sashka. Isaac allows you to take your time and explore. Isaac was EXTREMELYYYY PATIENT!!!!He took the time to listen and worked within my budget. He allowed me to explore many options. He gave me different options within my budget and allowed me to look, loop and examine the diamonds. He even let me look at them under different lighting. He also let me look at the GIA inscription( number) in the diamonds before putting together the studs and afterwards when I came and picked them up. So no cheating at this place no gimmicks. Isaac is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything about the diamond from allowing you to loop and look at the inclusions to explaining what fluorescence is!! I love my diamond studs worth every dollar I spent!
