I had a fantastic experience purchasing my Fiancees ring from Molly Kambic. I live in Ireland and I was after a specific ring that couldnt be purchased either here or in the UK. I realised it could only be purchased in America. Absolutely terrific experience getting my fiances engagement ring with her at Greenwich St. Jewelers. They (we were helped by Molly during our first visit and Sarah when we came to get the ring a few days later) were so extremely helpful and understanding as we sifted through options and peppered the staff with questions about where the diamonds were sourced, who the designer was, how maintenance should play out, etc. For every question they had a detailed answer and extra info that proved useful to us in making our choice. We had an appointment for a different jeweler scheduled later in the month, but we left the store after our first visit with a ring purchased and fawned over by both myself and my fiance. This is a really lovely store! Went for the first time to look for bracelets and Molly helped me look at a few options and get a quote for a custom piece. I didnt end up buying the bracelet and did not feel pressured which was great. I also had a pair of diamond earring reset here and they did an excellent job for an affordable price. They even scrapped the gold from the old setting which saved me some money. Beautiful selection of items in this store!

This is a review for a custom engagement ring made at GSJ, using my fiances heirloom diamond. The ring took about six weeks using their in house goldsmith. When I received it, it looked rushed, unpolished, prongs off-center, two prongs not fully touching the stone, poorly engraved, and something clearly off about the proportions and the design. It was sent back once to be touched up and came back worse. It also didnt fit correctly, and their advice was to wait for a weather change. We had chosen this store as the have posts and examples of nice custom jewelry, but our ring fell through the cracks. Greatly regret trusting this store, as it took away from a special moment.

I had a really terrific experience working with Dana M. at G St. Jewelers. I brought in a pair of very old earrings from my grandmothers estate to refurbish and redesign. From the 1 pair of earrings, we were able to create an updated, modern pair of new earrings and a refurbishment of the original pair, which needed rhodium plating and re-pronging and tightening of the levers.The cost was very reasonable and the results were spectacular! The process (from design, to sourcing pearls and platinum, to estimating final costs, and completing production) took about 3 weeks, and I left with 2 amazing pair of earrings to enjoy every day.Thanks GSJ and Dana, I look forward to coming back soon.

I brought an outside diamond, and Greenwich St. Jewelers made the setting with a hidden halo for the engagement ring I gave to my future wife. Molly assisted me, and was so helpful. I visited Greenwich St. Jewelers on recommendation of a friend who had an estate ring restored by them. I brought in two rings: my 1920s engagement ring and a family ring from around the same period to have the diamonds reinforced and be re-rhodiumed, polished, cleaned. Basically, the things you need to do to bring an antique ring back to life. Molly was exceptionally helpful both via email and in person. She provided a fair quote (I got quotes from multiple jewelers) and the rings were done beautifully in half the time and cost originally quoted. Im very pleased Ave will be back, I hope, to purchase an accompaniment.

Last year I was recommended Greenwich St. Jewelers by a friend whose engagement and wedding bands were purchased at the store. I purchased my wedding band there at the time and was very happy with the kind service, knowledgeable staff, and professionalism. Flash forward to this year, and my antique engagement ring -purchased elsewhere- snapped in half while I was closing a cabinet. It needed to be repaired and I knew Greenwich St. was the place to take it to. They were very COVID compliant so I felt safe being there. They were efficient and kind when I came in to drop it off. When I picked it up there was another fix that was needed and they were fantastic in working on it again. After the second fix, the ring looked better than the day I bought it. They even fixed the filigree that had been slightly worn in some places. I highly recommend Greenwich St. for purchasing new jewelry or for getting your pieces fixed. You will feel comfortable knowing you are in capable and caring hands.

I stopped by Greenwich St. Jewelers after having gone to about 4 jewelers in the area. I was trying to have the GIA certificate inscription confirmed after failing to do so where I bought the ring. The prongs made it difficult to see the inscription but the staff at Greenwich St. Jewelers patiently observed all the gaps in the prongs to find the inscription. The store is small, but is mostly working by appointment only. Since I was looking to create something from scratch it was recommended that I meet with Dana. She was very patient with me and gave me as much attention as I needed in order to sit down and explain my ideas and explore the jewelry to get additional inspiration. I had to have several email exchanges with Dana so that we could solidify price and exact specifications. She was always very responsive to my messages and made me feel that she was on top of my particular request. Since TAPP has been unusually busy, Dana set reasonable expectations with me about the timeline of when I would receive the final pieces. So, it was a great surprise and delight when they arrived earlier than anticipated!

Greenwich Jewelers saved my engagement ring! I had to have the prongs fixed on my ring at another location and they completely destroyed my vintage 1940s ring. I brought it into Greenwich, and they offered both a simple prong fix and resetting of the stone OR a full restoration. Because the last jeweler (not in NYC) had messed up the side detailing on the ring while fixing the prongs, I went for the full restoration. I am so glad that I did. Not only does my ring look better then after the botch job, it looks better then it EVER did!!! I know now the prongs are strong and will keep my stone safe. The side detailing was completely cleaned up as well as a previous ring sizing disaster. We found my wifes wedding ring here years ago, but we keep coming back for their amazing jeweler. Her engagement ring is an antique (her Great Grandmothers) so we were heart broken when a prong mysteriously broke off. The jeweler fixed the broken prong and stabilized the remaining 3 with such elegant craftsmanship that youd never know it had to be repaired. Everyone is always super helpful and friendly, we cant recommend them enough. Thank you again!

I have been obsessed with Marla Aaron jewelry for quite some time and this store is the only one in NY that sells her!!! It was such a delight to see Marla’s locks on Dana’s necklace! Dana was fun and enthusiastic and great to work with. They have a jeweler on site who was able to fix my lock for me so I could walk out of their with my very first Marla Aaron bracelet . Joy!

Came here to see if they could repair a watch band- they couldnt. But they recommended a place nearby which was extremely helpful of them. They are very friendly and helpful. They also have a nice selection of jewelry from what I saw.

Really fantastic jewelers. I got a relatively soft stone set into a custom platinum ring (can be a challenge) and the jeweler did a stellar job. I couldn’t be happier with the craftsmanship and the jeweler’s skill level. Highly recommend. Also, they finished the ring exactly when was expected!

So I hesitated on this place a bit at first because it actually had too many good reviews... honestly, can a jewelry store really be this deserving of such high praise?In a word: Yes.The team here is great. They keep you informed each step of the process and never pressure you into a purchase. Once the ball is rolling, they see to it that every detail is executed just as it should be.Honestly, Im happy to pile on the praise here. Easy 5-stars. And a special shout out to Molly, who after one visit not only remembers your name but pretty much every preference you have about anything.

We came in here with no knowledge, and had a terrific experience with Grace. We got a ring designed here and one from a designer that we could have gotten many other places. However, the experience with Grace was so accommodating, helpful and informative, with no pressure, that we wanted to buy from here. Overall a great business, but Grace was the one that made the difference. Absolutely check this place out, and absolutely work with Grace if you can. She is top notch!

I recently purchased a ring from Greenwich St. Jewelers, and I am extremely happy. My girlfriend and I had decided to do some ring shopping together so that we could pick out the perfect ring, and GSJ was the third store we went to. We met Dana who was very kind and pleasant. She offered us drinks for our appointment and made us feel at ease while showing us the various options. The store strikes a nice balance between too much selection and no selection. At a different store we had been overwhelmed with the selection of loose diamonds and at another they only offered one option for diamonds. Dana did a great job at keeping our budget in mind and was able to pull a couple diamonds to choose from that were both beautiful and affordable for us. We came into the store with a good sense of what ring we wanted, and after showing them a picture, they were able to make a custom ring that was exactly what we were looking for. It made what can be a stressful purchase very comfortable, and I would recommend the store to anyone looking to buy a ring in NYC.
