Bridgetown Automotive us seriously the best. They were very accommodating to my scheduling needs, and able to fit me in before I moved across country. My brother had highly recommended them, as he had several positive experiences with Bridgetown prior to my experience.Chris was very informative, and prompt to deliver the list of items needing attention on my vehicle. I felt no pressure, if you will, nor did I feel as though I was being misled to believe I HAD to get things fixed. He was honest and forthcoming about the severity of attention required for each item needing replacement. This to me, is what all service should be like.I also appreciated the shuttle service, as I was busy within the community and needed to continue my errands, etc. while my vehicle was being attended to. If there is anyone who is looking for excellent quality and exceptional customer service, Bridgetown is the answer.

Tire pressure light was on the night before.I called to have it checked out.I was over due for oil change. They were able to take care of that and check the whole care out.They are so thoughtful.

They were very good to work with, honest. They talked with me through everything, I will definitely use them for all my car repairs in the future.

I went in to get my Subaru Outback an oil change, some tune up maintenance, and to find out why my engine was making a whirring sound. They did a full diagnostic check, found out some other problems, and fixed up everything at a very reasonable price! They then suggested if I needed further work on my engine to go to Subaru to use my warranty, instead of paying them for any engine repairs. I didn’t have to go to Subaru though because once they were done with it, my car drove like a dream and the sound was gone. They also did a follow up text the next business day to make sure everything was running smoothly. I am so impressed with their professionalism, customer service, and quality of care. I would highly recommend Bridgetown Automotive for any automobile needs.

Went beyond what was necessary. Had a flat tire in another state. My tires were pretty much new and I thought would be covered by warranty due to the fact the tire could not be fixed. I was about 35 to forty minutes away and drove on that tire that couldnt be fixed, but I asked the tire company to fill it up with air and I would take a chance to make it.The new tire was replaced at no charge to me. I was so thankful. They did not have to do it.I will always take my car to them who I have trusted for 10 years plus.Wonderful friendly people and always take good care of you.Happy!!!

This is the second time Ive used them to check a vehicle out for me via remote in Eugene. Greg was extremely patient, much more so than the average manager on the phone, and communicated well with great info and insight. Very patient with my questions. I have already recommended to friends that live in Milwaukie and Oak Grove.

Auto was with Dealer who had computer codes from engine light diagnostic. Gave me price to install speed sensors for stabilitrack which I thought was way high($2400) when they cost $50-60 apiece. Told the reason was the drums also needed replacing. No drums on this vehicle. Asked service writer three more times and got same answer. Drums are $600 a pair.Needless to say I left dealership stating I had to think about it.Immediately called Michael at Bridgetown Auto as they had serviced vehicle in 2015 when located in Sellwood and explained to him the situation, he asked if I would hold to see if a recall or service bulletin had been issued by manufacturer. Came back on the line and said there was service bulletin for steering wheel angle sensor but none on speed sensors. They ran a complete diagnostic, test drove, inspected and found the steering position sensor defective. Replaced for $500 not the $2400 quoted earlier for item not needing replacement or repair.The honesty, quality of work & customer care are outstanding. I will use Bridgetown in the future and would recommend them to everyone. 👍🚘Matt M.

This is my second time at Bridgetown Automotive and the service is always exceptional, from prompt answering inquiries, availability, and customer service. They even offered help with vehicle drop off. I’ve never heard of that. They go above and beyond to make sure your vehicle is serviced correctly and very affordable prices. Coming from the east coast it was a relief to have found a trustworthy and dependable service center. Very welcoming as if friends rather than a client. This places is FANTASTIC!!!

Took my Prius in to get the shocks and struts replaced, and they charged a premium for substandard parts. They used cheap FCS assemblies at nearly a 300% markup from what I found online. I could find high quality KYB assemblies for that price. I also got some spacers installed, and Im unsure how long they will last with FCS. They also forgot to call me when the work was done, which should have only taken a couple of hours. I had to wait an entire day to get my vehicle back. They also refused to apply a coupon listed on their site, that could have saved me a couple hundred. Looking at all the high reviews, I can only assume that this shop has recently come under new management, and the reviews havent changed to adjust this yet.Be sure to shop around first, get estimates from other auto shops before choosing this place. And please, for your own sake, make sure to get an estimate from them before allowing them to do work on your car. As is, I dont expect to be doing business with them again.

Hands down the best experience I’ve had with an auto shop. They gave me a very reasonable quote for some work I needed done, and it actually ended up costing much less than I had expected (which never happens with car issues). They fixed the problem and patched my tire for free. Both Michael and Greg were very nice, and made sure my car was fully disinfected before I got in it.Highly recommend!!

The job was done well, and as scheduled. Their complementary inspection was more thorough, than a post purchase inspection I had done at a manufacture certified & specialized shop. I prefer to DIY when I can, though I’m I glad to have found a shop with honest people and prices.

Bridgeport was recommended by my other mechanic because he could not fix my war. When I made my appointment, we set a date and time for 8am. I called Mike and asked if I could bring in the car the night before and he immediately said sure. When I dropped off the car I was greeted so cheerfully by Mike. He made me fees as if they really cared. I did not see his 9:17 am email the next morning until early that afternoon . I was amazed to read that my car was ready. When I picked it up I inquired as to how he had it done so early. The evening before when I dropped off the car they started working on it and finished it early the next morning. Well, I will make it this short. These guys know how to treat people. This was my first experience with this shop and definitely will not be the last. They were extremely attentive to my needs, listened before offering a solution and actually fixed the issue. And they did all of this with clear communication and within my budget. From the beginning they give you a several page email with pictures explaining what is good and what is not so good with your vehicle. I was given options with pricing, and even a level of importance on what problems to tackle. I cannot speak more highly of Bridgetown Automotive. I first found Bridgetown when I was in college, sometime in ‘09 or ‘10. I bought a used car in 2008 after coming to Portland and sometime between ‘09 and ‘10 I moved to Sellwood and stumbled upon Bridgetown’s original location. I have been bringing my vehicle to them ever since. Despite my many moves over the years (and even Bridgetown’s eventual move to their Milwaukie location), I have still continued to commute as far as needed. Bridgetown and their staff have really treated me well over the years and truly rewarded me for my loyalty. I recommend them to anyone who asks. In addition to being straight forward, open, communicative and fair to me over the years, they have made a point to really put a serious effort towards their customer service and general demeanor. Their service manager, Mike, in particular has been incredibly friendly and has gone out of his way to make me feel personally cared for. It is quite obvious that Mike puts a lot of into his work and he has gone out of his way many times to explain issues/my options clearly over the years. I have never felt pushed one way or the other and I have always felt that I could call and ask any questions I might have. I continue to come here still and will absolutely be a Bridgetown customer for life.

Bridgetown was fantastic! Extremely good service and smart, professional mechanics. They explained the problem to me very clearly, and when they were able to diagnose the problem easily, charged me an incredibly reasonable cost for diagnosis ($100 dollars cheaper than the dealership.) Will certainly be going back in the future for any car troubles

At 76 years old I find that the service is far beyond all the car care I supposedly got in Atlanta. Now I really know what special service is! The TLC my 2003 car is getting now, and me too, is amazing. Group together all those 5 star reviews I just read and I can truly say ditto to all of them from me. Another great shop on the strip. Its been a few months ago.Friend of mine was having intermittent failure on startup. The lady was very upset and worried about her car. It was her home. I believe she was dealing with multiple mental health issues. Her car died about 2 blocks from Bridgstone . The next morning during rush hour traffic I pushed her down the middle of Mcglaughlin boulevard. Google butchered that street name. Made it to Bridgestone. Because of her disability she was very vulnerable. I truly believe most shops would seize the opportunity to take advantage of her. But not Bridgstone. Every step of the repair process she was treated fairly and with respect. In my opinion. The shop was very understanding and compassionate about her situation. Most people dont understand the anxiety and panic of living in your car and having it break. The first month living in my car, in the dead of winter,it had a costly mechanical failure. I almost threw up. I was amazed that they were able to make the repair and kept the cost down much lower than What I was expecting. I wish I could remember names. But I was impressed with how they treated her. Who would have guessed that there was 2 great shops on Mcloughlin. Correction. I keep hearing about a third great shop. A big thanks to Bridgestone. Nice work.

I have been with Bridgetown for 10+ years and 3 cars and they have never been anything but professional, truthful, and reasonable about all services. They will bend over backwards for their customers. Picking/drop off, paying by phone, staying past closing for pick ups, etc... From routine oil changes to extensive work they are fast, efficient, reasonably priced, and knowledgable. I know they have been best shop in Portland for several years and I cant imagine what a shop would have to do to beat their service.

I have found Bridgetown to provide great service. I was a little nervous about their move to Milwaukie recently, but when I asked if they could check out my old Honda Accord, they came to pick it up which was so very helpful. After checking it out, they gave me honest feedback about whether they thought it was worth fixing and given the condition of the car, I appreciated his assessment that it was time to retire my dear old car. They dropped it back off and did not charge me for the assessment! Yow, they probably have a customer for life. Even though my old Honda Accord is gone, Ive still got my Civic AND my Fit.

I couldnt be happier with the experience I had at Bridgetown. They fixed a bearing that was making an awful noise for about 6000 miles that was probably waking the entire town up every time I turned at night. Sellwood thanks you. It something I just had replaced too at a shop in TX and by comparison they charged $100 less. Michael was very up front and honest with me about the problem and what NEEDED to be fixed because lets be honest, most repair shops arent honest, its only about money and they cause more problems than they fix. I went to Leifs and they wanted $130 for an estimate, I couldnt believe it. I asked a guy I met who seemed trustworthy who was from the area if he knew where I could take it, he said he always took his car to Bridgetown, that I could trust them. He was 100% right. Bridgetown is great! I set an appointment to have my front brakes looked at. I was starting to hear squeaking. I was prepared to pay for new front brakes. They took the car in and did some diagnostics and found that there was an issue with the rear brakes that were serviced at the last scheduled maintenance. They decided that it was warranty work and fixed the problem on the rear brakes. It was refreshing to see that they were honest and did warranty work instead of blaming it on something else. Bridgetown will be our mechanic for all of our cars.Rob

Slaughtered a tire on my car due to bad alignment. Got suggested here by the guys at Liberty Tire and Glass and the experience was amazing. Friendly staff explained what was wrong. Car is lowered and cambered and they helped even things out. Would suggest others to go here, and will definitely bring my other vehicles here.

7/24/2019-My wife called me in a panic Friday. She said her car had a loud explosion, and she immediately pulled to the side of the freeway. Worst driving event, by far, she has had in 60 years of driving. The spot she was at, out of Woodland, Washington, had very limited room on the side to pull off the freeway. Looked up tow companies on Google, and 9 minutes later, Tom from Jacks Towing (Thank you, Tom!) had Susan safely in the cab of his tow truck. Had it taken to Bridgetown Automotive in Portland, and even without an appointment, they had the car inspected from front to back, repaired, four new tires installed, and ready to pick up on the second working day. For Susan and I, it was just one more example of professional mechanics doing quality repairs at reasonable prices. Thank you, Bridgetown ! !7/29/2014- Have known Chris for around 30 years. Anyone who says he does not give outstanding service has not used Bridgetown for very long, or is at least, a not very knowledgeable driver !Am just under 70 years old, and our family has four vehicles. We go almost 55 miles one-way for service, and over many, many years (some long before he opened Bridgetown), have had exactly one complaint.Yeah, for those of us who have driven a few (over 50) years, we know that cars are not perfect. The best mechanic can fix something, and it is always possible for it, or something else, to break again. What really counts is how they do, when given another chance.As an ex-aviator, I believe strongly in preventive maintenance. Do that, and the chance of unforeseen problems/breakdowns drop considerably. Yes, and dont try to get the very last few miles out of that belt, the tires , etc.Yup, in the past, also worked for many years for auto dealerships; in parts, service, and sales, so my experience is not just as a vehicle owner.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and honest about all the issues that came up with the courtesy inspection. I would definitely go there again.

Ive been to these guys 3 or 4 times now... I have a 15 year old CR-V, which I love, but I never have to worry when I take it to them that theyll talk me into crazy repairs I dont need just because its older. But because its older I have had a range of repairs done, from ac to radiator to transmission-related repairs, all the way down to oil changes and getting a new spare tire.If theres an issue, once its diagnosed they talk me through it, I ask them five million questions, which they answer, I never get talked down to (which has happened at other shops, purely because of being a woman), and they frequently show me the problem rather than just tell me.They also tell me whats important vs an issue that can wait without harming the vehicle. I trust them with everything having to do with my car, from the big stuff to the little things. They were recommended by many family friends before we went there. Mike & Chris and all the guys in the shop are honest, friendly, trustworthy. Even if you dont live out that way, if your car can make the drive to Milwaukie, its worth it.
