I took my car into Sids after a dealer gave me an expensive, bizzare diagnosis. Sid and Chris found the actual problem, were very communicative about it and explained it well, and it only ended up costing me a fraction of what the dealership was going to charge me. All the humans at Sids are hands down some of the best people I have ever met. They are honest, they have integrity, they are no BS with what needs to be done vs what can wait, they dont try to squeeze every last penny out of you and are genuine. As a woman with a background as Diesel Mechanic for the Army I know about mechanics and often times find it to be entertaining when male mechanics try to pull a fast one or tell me something incorrect, the guys at Sids have never done that and it is very refreshing. Definitely recommend them!!

Im torn, the employees at Sids are friendly, knowledgeable, and get their work done promptly. In my case, they unfortunately did more work than I (explicitly) asked for, and charged me accordingly.After requesting a front end alignment, I paid double what I paid at a competitors shop in the past. They also replaced parts without asking, which is frustrating because I already had purchased the the replacement parts to do the work myself...I even had the parts IN THE CAR!Again, the employees at Sids seem like great people people who do quality work, but I cant help but come away from this experience with a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. A little upfront disclosure would have gone a long way.

Been using Sids for years. I want to point out it hasnt always been that way, theyve earned the spot of being my go-to mechanic and early on werent always my first choice. Theyve always been honest and fair-priced. Ive never been upsold on repairs or parts I didnt need. Theyre also very timely - Ive never had a surprise delay in picking up my car.

I called and set up a time and they gave me a very fair quote and a surprisingly fast turnaround time. Great place and people , plus they do great work

Had my starter replaced at Sids and they did a great job with fast, friendly service. There were no surprises, they were up front about parts and labor costs, and they provided me with an estimate for some exhaust work I need to have done so that I could budget ahead. I will definitely take all my auto repair work to them from now on.

I would highly recommend Sids Auto Repair! They are knowledgeable and do quality work. Twice recently they saved me hundreds of dollars compared to the quote I received from Nissan. They fixed my passenger side mirror Free of Charge, when Nissan was going to charge me $500 because Nissan doesnt fix they only replace. Thanks Sids! Never going back to the dealer again!

The mechanics at Sids are knowledgeable and honest. I have had my 1998 Civic repaired there several times and have always been very happy. I needed the latch on the hatchback repaired, and was told by others that the job was too difficult and not worth doing. But the mechanics at Sids were able to fix it up at a reasonable cost. When they fix the car, they do only what is necessary and dont try to sell you other services. I would not go anywhere else.

These guys are amazing! Super nice and they saved me a lot of money. One mechanic told me it was my engine without troubleshooting or checking other issues. Sids did a full review and realized it wasnt my engine, saving me lots and lots of money. I was so appreciative. They are wonderful!

I drivw an older vehicle and have had numerous repairs done by Sids. They have always done good work quickly and at a reasonable price. And unlike many repair places, they have never pressured me to have more work done. Highly recommend.

Great guys great service fair prices

I had my truck towed to Sids. They looked at it for $25. Engine has seized and it was dead. But thats not what matters. I wanted to donate it to charity. They were SO patient with me. They let the truck sit on their tiny lot for 5 days till the charity tow got there. Then they held my receipt till I got there 10 days later (I totally forgot about it). They could not have been nicer. Sids is a good old fashioned mechanic on the corner. I will take all my cars there.

Good shop, good value — but they do *not* perform emissions testing!

Ive been taking my 2005 Scion xB here for about 5 years. I recommend them to everyone I know. They always do a great job:-sometimes going above and beyond what the initial repair was (fixing something else at a very reasonable price vs discovering more problems and charging an arm & a leg for additional repairs)-sometimes being very honest about the extent of the issue, even if it doesnt necessarily make them money (Ive actually had them tell me if your car still drives ok, we dont need to go in a fix this)Theyre my go-to auto repair shop. I will be going to them for years to come. Call them to make an appointment and give em a try!

My vans motor mount snapped in half, I was expecting a total of like 400+$ nope it was way cheaper and fixed very fast. And his towing friend is quick, picked my van up within 30 min of my calling

My car died on the high rise because of the alternator. It happended early morning. Had it towed to Sids and he had it fixed by noon the same day. Great service.

I met Sid when i lived in the area and my fan belt was making a weird noise. Sid fixed it in 10 mins and only changed me $20. Every vehivhle i have had that i cant repair myself has always gone to him. He estimated a brake job on my husbands truck for only one side, and never charged a cent for the other. I brought a van of his wifes that lasted another 3-4 years. It may take a day or two to get in, but i know i will never pay a cent more than quoted.

In sept. 2014 the idler bolt broke on my car. They replaced it and stayed a little past closing to allow me to pick up the car. That was good. Then about a month later it broke again. I dropped off the car around 8 and asked if they would get to it today, they said they would. I called throughout the day to see if progress was made. Around 2pm They told me the car was in the building and about to be worked on. I drove by around 4:30pm, and the car was in the same place on the street where I had left it 8 hours earlier. So they lied to me throughout the day about the progress. I took the car elsewhere. The other mechanic actually figured out why the bolt was breaking instead of just replacing the bolt.

These guys are very friendly and right ontop of things, I usually have my car back in 1 day when I take it in. My family takes all of there cars to Sid now! He wont sell you stuff you dont need either, very honest.

These people are horrible. Such a scam! I had my car towed there to put a starter in while I was sick because it was stuck on the street. I bought the starter myself and they said it was $200 for an installation of a starter. I asked what their hourly rate was and they said $100/hr. They said depending on how long it takes. They must not know anything at all. They were going to charge me for 2hrs of labor when its a 20min job max. I put the old starter in myself. I bitched at them and got it down to $80 which was what I paid for the starter and was still too much. Im warning people. If you dont know anything about cars dont just accept their prices. They might get the job done but they will break your bank for something simple.

Ive been going to the shop for 10+ years and the 3 guys who work there are always willing to work with you on pricing and very helpful, super quick and i have not had anyissues at all with any on there work.

They do good work. Parking is a bit of an issue.
