I would direct anyone looking for a used vehicle to go here. I had an absolutely seemless car buying experience at Smart Budget. Seth was informative without being pushy, and not over-enthusiastically trying to convince to buy the car. He was up front about the condition, price was reasonable, and the team made the entire deal very straightforward for me. Everything was exactly what the car-buying process should be. I am from out of town and needed a car relatively quick. I went it today, checked it out, test drove it, Seth and the team worked out a great financing option (which can be difficult since I permanently reside in a different state), and I drove away with it the same day! So happy I found the vehicle I wanted on their lot. Highly recommend!!!

The word budget in the name implies that the prices are lower at the dealership. Prices are not lower. I would drop the word budget from the name rather than deceiving the car shopping public.

We bought a new (used) car and as part of the deal they offered to replace the radio. They told me it would be a few hours but really it only took him 15 minutes. Good thing too because the waiting area was freezing, smelled strongly of VOCs, and an employee was trying to turn the TV back on after I turned it off so I could work on my laptop. No I dont want it on mute and Im the only one here so no one else is watching TV. Maybe they have to make it uncomfortable so people are pressured to buy a car?

Bought a 4Runner from the used/Budget lot a few years ago while going back to college using Veteran benefits and in between jobs short-term. Mr. Tim Nugent was great, very enthusiastic but not pushy and understood my position at the time-- he also detailed all the prior verifiable history of that vehicle which I appreciated wholeheartedly. Between him and the small yet very efficacious, friendly and prompt finance team, I was able to get a durable and reliable vehicle to get me through the rest of my degree program and keep me moving with a new essential career.Been a few years now and Im having to put some overhaul-ish work into the truck, but thats to be expected from a 15 year old machine thats on the road daily. Cannot thank Tim and the team enough for helping me out and for Smart Budget having a vehicle I was more than privy to calling my own.

Employees are helpful and enthusiiastic but not pushy. They are well educated on the cars they sell. They have a normal warranty on vehicles and quite honestly I think its one of the best used car place in the Madison area.

I recently needed to replace my vehicle after it was totaled in an accident. I actually wasnt planning on car shopping that day but dropped in because I was in the neighborhood. The salesman Jason listened to my needs and budget and we were able to find a car for me on the lot that day. Good experience.

AWFUL!!!! I sold my car and 3 hours later they said it didnt start. I was given permission to remove the sub and it ended up frying the battery. Instead of actually trying to find the issue, John W. lied about what he was actually trying and is now having me come get the car. Im going to purchase a new battery and install it in their parking lot tomorrow. If it so happens that for some INSANE reason thats not the issue, then the technicians they have there are completely incompetent. John W is spiteful and rude and I do NOT recommend this dealership.
