I have been to Ronna at Zap 2 times now and both times have been nothing short of spectacular. I have had such a noticeable reduction in hair growth, that even my foundation applies smoother. Both my appointments have been an hour long and time just flies by. Ronna is very skilled and manages to zap the hair away in a way that you feel minimal discomfort. Electrolysis itself is not a pleasant sensation on the skin, but Ronna somehow still makes the process feel like a spa experience. I’ve been elsewhere before, so I know not all electrolysis is the same or gives you the same results, which is how I know that Ronna’s work, attention to detail, and hygiene measures are exceptional. The after care she does really soothes my skin, and it looks and feels good as new the next day. So glad to have found Zap!

I love this place. They remind me the day before my appointment, which is great in this fast paced world. And my electrolysis Remy does an amazing job and is a really nice lady.

I never write a bad review especially for a small business owner. Ive always had a great experience with Tina since 2014, results are always great, nice cozy clinic, Tina seems sweet, and I recommend her to everyone in the past but unfortunately I will never return after a phone conversation with someone name Rita that I had a conversation with on 8/5/21 about confirming my appointment. and inquiring about changes. Rita raised her voice, and frequently cut me off mid sentence when I asked about scheduling and what was causing her to behave in such a manner. She then stated I was yelling when I brought to her attention that she was raising her voice and acting unprofessional by continuously cutting me off and acting in a bizarre manner (Im not even someone who agrees with the customer is always right. Zap is located in a predominantly Persian neighborhood in Westwood and I absolutely will be sharing my experience with fellow customers or possible future customers located in the greater West LA area that Ive always recommended/referred to this business. I didnt initially blame Tina for this incident but it was truly unprofessional and I intend to share my experience on other platforms. Tina appeared kind but its unfortunate that she has a coworker or employee that speaks in such a derogatory manner.Update: I just spoke with Tina and she acted like another person, she wouldnt let me explain the situation, and then explained she was reviewing the recording. When I stated you cant record phone conversations without consent, she stated we video record a clients phone conversations and then listen to the conversation. This is still illegal in the state of CA and there needs to be a disclosure of such a practice to the other party with their consent (legal action and better business bureaus should be notified). I plan to report this. After telling Tina that I wrote a review on Yelp, she was so angry and irrational even when I stated that the original review stated she was great but I wouldnt return because of the interaction with her employee (she was in a state of rage that was scary). Such a disappointment. She also brought up a past cancellation in the midst of the pandemic when I had developed shingles and was experiencing facial paralysis while my mother was also sick. In that incident, I even offered to pay. This was one of the most bizarre, aggressive, and irrational experiences that I have ever had with a person, or a business. It seemed like a completely different and defensive individual who I never encountered in my interactions in the past few years.

Gosh where do I begin? I have been a long standing customer of Zap Electrolysis and Skin Care and have never experienced anything short of an exceptional experience each time I have gone for a service. I travel from the South Bay to their location. While I am sure there are many businesses that are closer in proximity to where I live, I just cant imagine leaving Zap and heres why:Tina is amazingly sweet and always very helpful in scheduling time and ensuring that you have an positive experience that will ensure your return. The facility is super clean and relaxing. I appreciate the extra care and safety that they take especially in the time of COVID.Rita is my go-to esthetician hands down! Lawd! This womans hands have been blessed from above! Thorough, meticulous, professional, gentle for the procedure and has just about the kindest and most thoughtful personality ever, I just cant fathom of leaving the care of my facials/hair removal needs to anyone else! Plus I enjoy her music selections of Depeche Mode 😁First class business and estheticians!J.Terrell

Always the best experience. Tina is a lovely woman, super at her job and a wonderful conversationalist. You’re in the best hands getting electrolysis here. I travel an hour here and it’s still worth it!

Tina at Zap! changed everything for me. I had a truly embarrassing amount of chin and neck hair that got worse after attempting laser hair removal. Im so lucky I ended up at Zap! with Tina! Her initial consultation made me feel so comfortable and I knew she had seen it all. Prices are also insanely reasonable for the permanent results you get. Monthly appointments turned to every two months, and then three... and I could not be happier with the turnout. Not once did it irritate my extremely sensitive and dry skin, and Tina always put me at ease even during hour long appointments. Not having to worry about this embarrassing and unwanted hair was an incredibly worthy investment. The only upset is I dont see Tina every month anymore... time to pick another spot to treat!

I’ve been a client since Tina bought the practice in 2003. In fact, I was a client of the old practice as well and to be honest, I was super hesitant about the change after years with the previous owner. As a super sensitive, super specific client, i don’t handle change well. Well, I couldn’t be more happy that I chose to trust Tina because it’s 16 later and I literally fly In from my med school in Tel Aviv to continue seeing her. I have no idea what I’d do without her. Tina, please don’t ever sell the practice, sincerely someone who can’t handle any change.
