All the hype is real! Electrolysis really works and Ive tried it all (tweezing, laser, waxing, etc.) NOTHING else permanently removed my hair. Nicole has been the best find in my 20+ years of exhaustive unwanted hair struggles.I only wish I found her sooner!!!!!! The process barely stings and is worth every dang penny.

I started seeing Nicole a couple of years ago because of a hormone disorder that lead to unwanted hair in places women don’t typically have hair. Nicole has CHANGED MY LIFE! As a black woman, I was very concerned about electrolysis hair removal on my face causing dark spots or scarring. I started getting electrolysis done about 9 years ago while living in New York. This homey business is exceptional. (It is located in a residential area.) The owner, Nicole, is at once welcoming and perfectionistic in her work. She helped me with a delicate issue with grace and aplomb. She has several technicians working with her, and they have all been excellent. Her prices are reasonable too. I am a convert to electrolysis for hair removal of any sort.

I have been coming to see Robin for a long time now and I highly recommend her! I started coming for facial hair but I eventually got my eyebrows done as well, and I get compliments on them all the time without having to wear make-up or do anything else to them. Great place, never had any scarring or anything.

Ive been going here regularly for about 8 months now after trying everything to deal with annoying facial hair over the past few years. I chose Electroyogi after reading lots of great reviews, and was lucky that I randomly chose Vanessa who immediately made me feel comfortable in a situation that I was expecting to be embarrassing and painful. The ambience is more like a salon than a doctors office, and they always play great music :) I feel lucky to have found this place, and would highly recommend it to anyone who might be struggling like I was!

I have been coming to Electroyogi for electrolysis for about a year and a half. I am very impressed with my results so far and love coming for appointments even though certain areas can be quite painful. All of the electrolygists are highly skilled and I’ve always had a great experience. Parking is always a breeze; The space is attached to the owner Nicole’s home, is completely separate, and is very clean and charming with two treatment rooms, a waiting area, and bathroom. There is complimentary water, tea, coffee and sweets. The app is VERY easy to use to book and cancel appointments. Most of my appointments are with the fabulous Vanessa, and I’ve also seen the owner Nicole and Robin a number of times — all are amazing!

Always a fantastic experience with ElectroYogi! Nicole and her team are kind and welcoming, do wonderful work, and have me recommending electrolysis to everyone. Ive even got my husband hooked!

I should have reviewed Electroyogi long ago, but better late than never! I have been coming here for a little over a year, working on essentially covering the entire lower half of my face. Ive tried laser and many other electrolysis places, but the entire electroyogi team is fantastic. Hair removal is a painful process, not physically as electroyogi has helped me make the process as pain free as possible, but emotionally!Between Vanessa and Nicole, they work with me not only on my hair, but have improved my relationship with myself. I know that sounds like a bit of an over-exaggeration but my hair growth has made me feel less of a woman. Its made me self conscious, depressed, and there were nights I wouldnt be able to go meet friends because i was afraid of my 5 oclock shadow. Nicole and Vanesa have gotten to know me not only as a client, but as a friend.Over the last year, I had job changes, relationship changes, a new puppy, and more than one move to a new apartment in the city. I have missed appointments due to my own stupidity and they are so accommodating and kind about everything. They go above and beyond as electrologists. They are just good, wonderful, kind human beings.I see some negative reviews about Erin, and although I am yet to book with her, she sat in on one of my sessions with Nicole. She was asking great questions- not only about the process but about my client experience. She is in good hands and I have no doubt she will get up to speed quickly.It may take awhile to get in the door here, but I promise you are worth it. THEY ARE WORTH IT!! I have been dealing with unwanted body hair for years, especially on my face. My hair is dark, coarse, grows back very quickly, and is quite noticable on my skin. Throughout the years have tried tweezing, waxing, laser hair removal, depilatories, epilatories, bleaching, shaving etc. Some methods were painful and/or left me with very irritated skin as my skin is also quite sensitive. Above all these are all temporary solutions. Though over the years, I have come to embrace some of my body hair, but my facial hair is something I am still extremely self conscious about. It has been a hinderance in my life, as it plays a major decision factor in my social life.I was tired of feeling held back by this unwanted hair, so at a bit of a wits end I did a bit of research. I came across ElectroYogi Electrolysis, and scheduled an appointment with Nicole, the founder and Owner of ElectroYogi. I was a bit nervous upon my first consultation as I really didnt know much about Electrolysis or what to expect with the treatments. I was a little hesitant in investing in Electrolysis as I thought my hairs would just be too stubborn, but even after my first treatment I noticed a difference. Nicole answered all and any questions I had about Electrolysis upon our initial appointment. She is very knowlegdable, and so accomodating and caring. The treatments are efficient, getting the most hairs with the most accuracy within your scheduled time. I know everyone has a different pain tolerance, though as someone with extra sensitive skin, the treatment is so tolerable and really only feels like a little pinch for a few seconds.The ElectroYogi home studio is very clean, comfortable, and the machines for treatments are up to date, and very well kept. All the staff are communicative, along with being super wonderful and sweet. They truly care about what they do and really try and get to know their clients as well.After a few treatments with Electro Yogi my hair is growing back slower, finer, or not at all! I am so grateful for Nicole and ElectroYogi!

I’ve struggled with facial hair since I was in 7th grade when a fellow student asked why I had a unibrow. So embarrassing. My mom never talked to me about facial hair. I was on my own and it was downhill since then. Lots and lots of tweezing. In my early twenties, I had a week-long trek—sea kayaks and hiking in the glacier wilderness—and what was I worrying about? Drowing, getting eaten by a black bear, flipping my kayak? No. My eyebrows and whiskers would have full reign for a whole week! I even brought tweezers in my backpack to get what I could feel with my fingers, but my face still looked a mess when we got back.For the past 20 years, I’ve tried it all—depilatories, bleaching, waxing, tweezing, shaving, electrolysis (early 90’s), laser hair removal. I fell short of trying the TV methods, but don’t think I didn’t consider it. When laser only controlled my hair growth, but didn’t eliminate it, I was at a loss. I read about ElectriYogi. And decided to give it as shot as it’s the only “permanent hair removal” system according to the FDA. I had tried it before a long time ago, but I don’t think that person knew what she was doing and she scarred my face, so I figured that didn’t work.I found Nicole on Yelp and she is wonderful. The process is painful and I still look forward to going just to enjoy Nicole’s kindness and hard work and life view. Some days it hurts more than others—but it is that good pain. If it gets too bad, she’ll move to another part of my face. She also offers numbing cream. She’s been working on me for 6 months. My face has improved greatly. I’m picky, so I think I still have a long way to go, but it has improved so much that I don’t think about it much between sessions and not allowed to tweeze. This sounds so corny, but for once I feel freed from this problem—no small feat.This permanent removal allows me to quit tweezing 20 min. a day and the hairs have become lighter and less coarse, so just leaving it a couple of weeks allows me to forget about it. If you have some money and time to invest and were as crazed about this problem as I was for many years, I encourage you to give it a chance. Just be aware it takes time and you’re face will need to heal a few days afterward to look normal again. Nothing is perfect, but after years of experimentation, this is the best I’ve found. She does most body parts—fingers, toes, facial hair, backs, bikini (that just sounds painful), legs, arms, underarms, boobs, you name it. Another nice factor is that electrolysis works on all shades of hair, not just black hair on lighter skin, like laser.If you’re getting older and your hormones are changing, let’s just say, you’ll need Nicole even more! Hair starts to pop up in the weirdest places.Give Nicole a try, you’ll see the difference and she’ll win you over.
