Jesse has been tremendously helpful in my car buying process. Thanks to his skills and honesty, he discovered problems with used cars I wanted to buy from dealers who tried to cover up or lied about the condition of the cars. So I avoided having to deal with problems going down the road. I’m buying my first car, and greatly appreciate his expertise and honesty.

Jesse is incredible! I started coming to him 10 years ago in Palms and I still drive out of my way to him even though he moved. He takes a passion and a pride in his work that is beyond what you pay him.

In my opinion, there is no better, no more honest, no more trustworthy car mechanic in Los Angeles. Okay, I havent been to all of the mechanics in LA. But Ive been to enough, and having been to Jesse at Jams Automobile for the past 11 years (I remember his first tiny shop on Overland), I know that he is a good, honest man. He works extremely hard, alongside his sons. His work is specific and detailed. He is truly an expert. His top interest is repairing your car so that it runs like new and so that you arent stuck paying for more costly repairs in the future. He preaches the philosophy of caring for what you have (instead of running it into the ground and then going out and buying new -- something quite profound in our consumption-driven age). And on top of that, he has always been a kind and generous man to me and my wife. One small example -- nearly a decade ago, when I was taking my 1989 Camry in for some significant repairs that were going to require a week, he loaned me one of his other cars for that week so I could still get around. I mean -- who does that? He is as good as they get for car mechanics. I cant recommend him strongly enough.

Jesse, the chief mechanical engineer at Jams is the best anyone can have when it comes to the in and out of automobiles. He understands the nerve center of any automobile especially the BMW.

Ive had my 1987 BMW 325 for several years now, and although Ive kept up the maintenance I started feeling that the car was not performing as it should and my clutch was not shifting smoothly. I needed to get serious repairs done to the vehicle. I spent some time researching different shops all around the LA area looking at experience, quotes for the main repairs, and customer service.BY far Jesse Mejia at Jams Automobile seemed to the best option for what I was looking for; all the great reviews on different websites spoke of his experience, he gave me the best and most honest quotes for the parts and for his work/repairs, and his costumer service on the phone and in person is reassuring that your working with someone with confidence in his work.Jesse and his team had the experience to work on my vehicle where other mechanics were not confident to do so or just didnt seem like they did once I meet with them. Jesse kept in constant communication during all the repairs and gave me reasonable time frame for the completion of the work. New clutch was put in, maintenance to engine, gas pump replacement were some of the jobs done and all parts replaced with OEM (original) parts. Jesse gives great attention to detail where he even replaced a broken door handle cover that I didnt even ask him to replace and was not charged for, which I thought was a nice gesture, I guess thats the type of person he is and the type of detailed job you can expect from him.Its been six months since the work was done and the vehicle is running great. Recently got a Smog check, it passed with no issues and the technician was impressed on how good the engine sounded and performed for a vehicle from the 80s. Anyone that has ever driven these E30s know how fun a well maintained one can be to drive and Jesse and his team restored that for this car; its extremely appreciated. Jesse even provided suggestions in detail on what other areas of the vehicle may require maintenance in the future. He did a 360 inspection on the car. Im extremely satisfied with the teams work and impressed by their customer service. Im in the process of scheduling another appointment with the shop to continue with the great maintenance and restoration.At Jams Automobile youll work with experienced professionals who really do pride themselves on making sure your vehicle comes out performing as it should, and that care about the satisfaction of the customer.I hope this post helps someone thats looking for a shop that has integrity at all levels. I’ve been going here for a few years and I am never disappointed. Jesse will take excellent care of you no matter what your situation. This is the best mechanic in Los Angeles that I have found. Jam and Norman are terrific. Any issues I have with my cars I bring them in and these guys always fix it correctly. Just a couple weeks ago my cars alternator went out in a private parking lot. I was stuck, and these guys helped fix the car fast and it was not even less than I was thinking the service might be. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Jesse has been working on my two cars for years now. Good mechanics and honest man. He will let you know whats needed and he will get it done for a fair price. No BS and no other fees that you only find out at the last minute when you are ready to pay. Couldnt be happier with the service and experience.

Jesse is amazing! Every time I go for an oil change he is sure to check all fluid levels in the car and makes sure theres air in the tires. The last time I was there he was able to squeeze me in last minute to check a noise I heard coming from my car and do an oil change. Not only did he fix the noise coming from my car, he got me in and out and even managed to give my car a quick wash!! He lets me know what really needs to be repaired. Never over priced. I highly recommend Jams Auto.

One of a kind in Los Angles! There are few words to explain how happy I was 14 years ago when I first encountered Jessie at Jams Auto. Up until that day I had always worked on my own cars, not trusting them to any other mechanics. After knowing Jessie for a few years as a friend where we would discuss car problems and troubleshoot some of his customers vehicles together, I decided I would let him maintain my small fleet of BMWs freeing up my time for other things. Now I completely rely on Jessie and his crew for all mechanical and electrical work. Honest, dedicates, ingenious, knowledgeable, got every tool in the world, listens to the customers and always likes a challenge. That is Jessie.

Im 39, and my whole life Ive viewed mechanics as the biggest scam artist (car dealerships being the biggest). It wasnt until I met Jessie and his auto garage, that he genuinely wants to take great care of your car, and he does it very well. And I mean very WELL! I called to get an estimate from this place after describing the exact matter with the vehicle. The customer service was demanding that I bring the car to them and was trying to teach me how making assumptions is wrong. I found the customer services tone highly offensive! I do not actually know how they perform in conducting their services, so I left a Good for Service in my rating just to be fair.

They did a repair cheaper than another shop quoted me because they found the real problem. Plus they found other problems that the other shop missed, that they showed me and went over everything with me before starting any work. Great work and expertise. Theyre my go-to neighborhood mechanic now.

It is hard to find an honest and trustworthy mechanic but Jesse is fantastic! I started taking my car to him about a year ago and he has been great. He is very thorough and truly helps you with whatever you need. He even took my car to get smogged for me just incase there was a problem. I will be coming here for years to come and I highly recommend him!

Been a customer of jesses for decades, cuz of the honesty, proper diagnosis, good parts, and great work. An added bonus is the conversations we have as I consider him him a friend these days. Just a cool laidback unique dude. I’ve taken many different vehicles there in time and have referred several ppl to him and would recommend jams to anyone looking to find a quality mechanic for life.

I found Jams at 1st cause it was close to my home. After meeting Jesse and having him work in my car I felt a level of integrity and pride in his workmanship that I found in only one place that was in the midwest.
