Their employees are all so hardworking and nice! Anytime I have a question with billing, they would explain and resolve any discrepancy there is for me right away. The folks that help pick up trash every week are all so thoughtful as well. If the wind were blowing, if I have a lighter trash bin, they would lay it down so that it would not get blown away. Sometimes they will push the trash container to my front door instead of leaving it by the narrow curb side. I am truly very appreciative of their services and especially their employees!

Husker refuse just took over from Recycling Enterprise. A wonderful service I have had for 8 years. Unfortunately the new company does not recycle glass. When I called up to cancel the combative gentleman asked me why I was leaving. I informed him that glass was unable to be recycled by them. He chuckled and told me nobody would recycle glass. I informed him that American Refuse does. I didnt like the way he was trying to mislead consumers. Luckily Im informed and took time to research.Just wanted to make sure this doesnt happen to anybody else. Theres plenty of recycling companies in Lincoln that take glass (American Refuse) and all other products. Just trying to do my bit for the environment, lesson learned.

Had these guys for recycling and trash, after the 3rd time of missing the pickup we moved back to our original service. Secondary issue, the billing was never correct. Never could get that part straight, sometimes it worked out in our favor sometimes not. Either way if you dont pick up the trash I could be paying half price comparably and still wouldnt keep the service.

Much more professional than their competitors. Ive had problems with their competition where they wouldnt pick up the garbage for months and still charge you. With Husker Refuge they do what they say their going to do. Also they make it easy to pay with online billing.

It’s happened to me 3 times now that they failed to pick up either trash or recycling or yard waste. This time it was recycling and yard waste. I put it out the night before and so they can’t say they were by already. And when we try to call it is impossible to get through. Garbage companies come a dime a dozen think I’ll call someone else.

The only good thing is that you can leave one big item out once a month at no extra charge. I personally don’t use that benefit often but it is nice. Customer service is lacking. I wish I had the pleasant experiences I’ve read about. Crystal in the office is less than pleasant. They’re not consistent about what time they come, it’s subject to change without warning. If I’ve ever forgotten to put my garbage out they’ve never made an effort to grab it or pick it up another day as promised. The guys on the truck don’t care to clean up anything they drop. They make a mess, a mess it stays.

We have had multiple occasions where our house was skipped, we have come home to find our trash cans in the street rather than on the curb, and if they spill anything they leave it on the ground. I actually witnessed them throwing my trash can from the truck and went out to question it and the driver was very combative and used foul language. However, the truck that picks up yard waste (they are separate trucks) has never missed our house or left a mess. The business office is very good at communicating via text and email, and the billing is always spot on.

I use Husker Refuse for 3 different services. I use them for yard waste, recycling, and general refuse. As a part of their service they also have picked up a few large items for me. They are helpful and courteous from the office staff to those who pick up waste. I highly recommend them.

Husker refuse is not just a quality service but they care about their customers. It has been a crazy week this week and unfortunately putting our cans out completely slipped our minds. Christian from truck 37 was so kind and brought our cans out so that we did not miss trash day this week. This act of kindness really touched my heart, especially in times like these.

They took over from my long time friend and garbage hauler and have lived up to and surpassed expectations. They dont treat u like a number, and the garbagemen who pick up are the nicest guys around. U can tell they treat employees good there

Ive been a customer for 2 years now and HR has been great to have serve my trash and yardwaste needs. They are reliable as my trash and yardwaste always disappears and they dont leave a mess when doing it. Good communication and easy online payment process too!

We love Husker Refuse! They take our garbage and recycling. If we have anything else we just email to let them know and they pick up whatever we have! They let us know if pickup lands on a holiday they will pick up the next day! Their prices are great!

I have had not one problem with Husker Refuge that I did not create myself. I forgot one day they didnt pick up on holidays they pick up the very next day. Theyve handled everything Ive set at the curb. Honestly I rate them at a five-star service.

Had a tenant evicted and they left a house full of junk. One text to HR and they sent 2 trucks & 3 men and it was GONE in 10 minutes. It was property line to property line waste deep.Tha k you HR!

HR has done a great job for us since we’ve been with them for the last 4 years. We’ve had few problems and anything that we’ve questioned has been addressed super fast by their staff. They are friendly and reliable!

I am very happy and completely satisfied with Husker Refuse. Jackie was absolutely wonderful with educating me regarding services, pricing and the extras this company provides for free. For example, while other companies typically charge for large items, such as big appliances and furniture, Husker will pick up one large item for free every month. I am more than pleased with my decision to sign up with Husker Refuse and recommend this company highly.

They remove my tree and brush limbs when needed, old dead microwave as well as reg garbage. I’m happy. :)

I’ve had Husker Refuse for a little over a year now. In that time they have only missed my house 3 times. It was within the fist 2 months of having service. That’s definitely good In my book, I’ve had other services for years and they would not pick up my trash at least once a month. I pay for a entire year at a time and they offer a discount for that it’s $12, it’s not a big discount but still a discount. Really happy with the service they provide. I would suggest going with them for trash service.

Husker Refuse does a great job at picking up my trash/yard waste weekly. Never any trash left on the street, the containers are always put back on the driveway.

We would like to say Thank You to Joe and Brian. Their kindness and help will forever be remembered. We had just left out Dr’s office after a hard diagnosis of cancer for my husband. He had just had surgery on January 19 and the following week was his follow up appointment. Of course we had just gotten a ton of snow! Anyways I had turned off of ‘A’ street onto 37th. Their truck had turned off of Washington heading up 37th. I pulled over as far as I could and got stuck in the snow. I was stressed just a little not knowing what to do. These two gentlemen stopped what they were doing and ‘took over’ the situation. Not knowing what we had just been through, Brian and Joe became our ‘angels unaware’ that day. Updated Review--After a couple of bad interactions with the company I was ready to switch services. I was contacted by Joe, we talked about my greviences with the company and we chatted for a bit. He listened to all of them and was very understanding and helpful to get it resolved and make sure it didnt happen again and gave me his personal number to contact if it did. Completely 180 on my opinion about the company. That is the personal touch you dont get from companies anymore in todays world!! Great job guys, glad to be staying with you guys!! During my 4-5 years with them they missed my service pickup multiple times, I reached out to them the last couple of times....one time I got told, well we cant do anything since I sent the message one Thursday night/Friday morning....and they missed my recycling this week, and basically called me a lier by telling me the gps put their truck in my area at xx time is all that was responded not anything to rectify the situation......been looking for an excuse to drop them, and this was just the extra bit I needed......I wanted to switch to a local company any ways not a big chain that came in doing door to door contracts to lock people in!!! They did ok most of the time but the little stuff adds up!! Piss poor customer service was the deciding factor!!

Forgot to put our refuse to the street one night. To our surprise one of the guys on the truck must have ran up to the house and pulled the can down to the street himself. Shout out to our Recycling pick up guy on Monarch Drive in Lincoln NE. I happen to be outside when I saw him coming and I realized I had forgot to bring the cans to the curb. When I turned around to bring them down he was already behind me ready to take them down for me. And then my neighbors forgot to put theirs out as well and I saw him run up to the house and bring both the recycling and garbage down to the curb. That is customer service! Give this guy his bonus! I wish I knew his name, hopefully the street will help narrow it down. Thanks!

It was a Friday morning. I woke up late around 9 and forgot to take out the recycling and trash bin. I live with 4 roommates so you can imagine if the trash isn’t taken out we got a problem.Christian on truck 37 rolled my cans out, took my recycling and got my trash ready for pickup.5 stars buddy. 5 stars.

Always on time. Phone reps are always helpful and easy to talk to when I call. They’ve even rolled my bins out for me before when I forgot to put them on the curb.

Its not unusual I have questions about something with our trash such as what can go in it, is what I have too much, or if they will dispose of something larger for me. With every question Jacky is quick with a response, and thorough in helping me understand. I never have to question the level of customer service I receive from her.

Husker Refuse provides removal of General house trash and yard waste. They pick up every Thursday. Well this week was Thanksgiving and Husker Refuse sent me a text stating my services will b delayed one day due to the Holiday. I appreciate the communication. Great service too.

Always do a great job! Neatly turn can in its side so I know theyve picked up! One week I left it on my driveway rather than curb and he came and got it!

Ive been very happy with our services, but there was 1 pick up time when they forgot to empty our leaves, I called the company to ask what time they picked up the leaves, and was told he had already been there, let them know he had emptied the trash but not the leaves, l was then told that all the drivers were gone for the day, just put the dumpster out on Monday, and they would stop and pick it up, this was at 3:00 on Friday, I had a whole weekend of leaves to pick up, and no dumpster because it was full, basically go buy leaf bags and set them out on Monday with the dumpster. Person I spoke to was not helpful at all.

My husband and I have been sick and forgot to put our trash out this morning. Christian and truck 37 took our cans out so we wouldn’t miss trash day! Our cans were full so we very much appreciated this gesture.

I have repeatedly ask for pick up only ONCE PER WEEK, this has been ignored. I am a senior & have minimal trash & recycle., many times my trash is only one bag

We made the mistake of going with Uribe. It was more expensive and they missed our yard waste every time. We switched to HR and they are less expensive and picked up Uribes bin that THEY WOULDNT PICK UP! I missed putting the bins out this morning so I put them out hoping theyd pick them up anyway and they did at 2pm. Love this company.

These guys have done exactly what they said they were going to do right from the get-go. They pick up our trash, yard waste and recyclables on the day they say they will. They have taken piles of construction waste without a problem, and inform us about scheduling issues and rate increases. We have never had a problem with this company.

I love my monthly bulk item removal benefit. Mandi set me up in less than a minute of my time. It took me far longer to write this short review than it took for Husker Refuse to take care of me.

Only pick up garage they want to. During the storms some @mall limbs came down. Placed by garbage. Left them. If a 76 y.o. handicapped woman can drag them across the yard. A 25 year old should be able to lift 2 ft. Into truckWhy do you ask if &handicapped and a veteran? We are both!! Better yet knock on the door Ill grab my cane and load them.

The Husker Refuse crew that picks up yard waste near 70th and O streets is amazing. They run to do their work, usually while singing and shouting hello to everyone they see. They are careful to get all of the debris, and our neighborhood looks better because of them. Can’t recommend this team enough!

My husband and I totally spaced putting our garbage, yard waste, and recycling bins out on the curb the night before pick up like we always do. Normally if we missed a week it wouldn’t have been a big deal. But of course the one time we forgot, our yard waste and recycling bins were completely full! We needed them both emptied so we could mow the lawn the next day and have a place to put the clippings along with recycling stuff for the next week. I contacted Husker Refuse asking them if there was any way I could get them emptied. Within 10 minutes yard waste was at my house! Company was slow to respond after mistakingly taking receptacles away for return. Required multiple calls and multiple days to receive a response. In person each employee is very helpful and I like the opportunity for pickup of trash, recycling, and yard waste all on the same day.

This is not my garbage company but I wanted to commend the two gentleman who picked up one of their customer’s trash in my neighborhood. The home was vacated and there was a massive amount of garbage (sofas, tables etc..) across the street. There was a glass top table that, in the process of being crushed, shattered glass into the street. After all of trash was picked up, they actually took a broom and swept up all of the glass from the street! That attention to detail was commendable!

Never had a problem with Husker Refuse and they are easy to get a hold of and responsive.

Good refuse company. Good value as well! If ever a problem arises, they are easy to reach, and quick to rectify the issue.

Lately the pick up person doesn’t return tubs with what you have. Once found recycling in yard across street and that person didn’t even have your service. Another time gave us a smaller container for recycling. When I called and told them this was not acceptable they did give me back our bigger container. When emptying trash at times we have to pick up stuff off street.

They are always timely in their pick ups and respectful of our property.

Very disappointed, I switched from VB because of service issues, now that you have taken over for VB it seems like your commitment to being better than the other guy has gone by the waist side. When your sales guy came around the neighborhood he said all the right things and I switched, in fact I got several of my neighbors to switch too. I hope you will take this review to heart and give the kind of service that you started out with, after all, there are other companies...

I got a notice that I needed to update my credit card. OK....but when I go to login, I cant. Get a message that my email not associated with an account.Update 3-4-20. Got a call from a very friendly employee who explained the issue fully. Their system changed, which required that I update my credit card info. He was able to take care of the issue over the phone.

I highly recommend HR for any of your residential waste needs. Extremely friendly drivers/ staff. Trash/ recycling/ yard ALL on the same day! So I never forget to get my items to the curb.

Husker Refuse does my household garbage and recycling pick ups. They do a great job, and always put my cans off to the side of my drive where they dont block either the drive or sidewalk.
