My fridge broke and I had the service warranty on it. So I called to get it fixed. They gave me a timeline of TWO WEEKS before I could have a functioning refrigerator. That is far too long to be without a fridge for a family of 4.Editing this review. I ended up waiting the two weeks. It still wasnt acceptable, but since I had the warranty, it was worth it. The repair was done and the fridge does work now.

Ive been rescheduled for the 5th time! Ive been WITHOUT a fridge for over a month now.I had an appointment today I WAS CANCELLED AGAIN!Now Ive been told August the 4th. Ive been without a fridge for almost a month now. This is beyond ridiculous. Ive lost all my groceries, the consumer just has to suffer. Sears you need to hire more techs, to be told youve got ONE tech in a 80 mile radius is not acceptable. However we know how big companies work you dont care, as the consumer we will just have to deal with it.

My biggest issue is that they give you a 9 hour (8am-5pm) window instead of a more accurate time, how can you plan your day when you have other stuff to do with that kind of window? They had to come out 3 times (so far) to repair my icemaker and I’m not sure it’s working correctly yet. The first visit they charged for the service, I asked them for a receipt so I could send it in to my warranty company for reimbursement. The tech finally wrote out a receipt on the THIRD visit but the total doesn’t match what they charged. I am disappointed. When you try to call their nationwide call center, you can press 1 for English and then you get someone who can’t speak it and they can’t transfer you to someone who can. They say in broken English “Hang phone the up to tries again”. I had better results from pressing 2 for Spanish and asking if that agent spoke English. This is just another customer service company that forgot about the customer. I will not be calling them again (unless I figure out my icemaker STILL isn’t working after 3 visits and $500 in repair costs)

They came out. They cleaned the coil, and told us to wait 48 hours. It wasnt fixed. I went on the internet, figured out the problem, and fixed it with a box fan. Absolutley do not waste your money with these bozos.

I had a sears repair appointment on 10-5/2020. For my kenmore freezer, that was 3 years old. It all of the sudden quit working overnight. The repair fee for a diagnostic is $129. I was told the $129 would go towards repairing the freezer if I had it repaired.The technician told me I had a bad thermostat, which is $99. He told me other parts may be bad, but he couldnt do the diagnostic because the freezer wont run without the thermostat being in. I was told it would cost $430 to repair the thermostat. $99 for the part, and $331 for labor and the DIAGNOSTIC fee... he wouldnt put the diagnostic fee towards the repair...Please! Unless you have a warranty with Sears for the product, CALL a local repair service to have your appliance looked at.

Technician came for annual maintenance. Technician arrived in a timely manner and was quick, efficient leaving the refrigerator and area clean. The technician made no mention of the fact that both the air and water filter warnings of need for replacement. Definitely expected some feedback from the technician about this.This caused me some concern as to the thoroughness of the annual check up of the appliance.

Great service! We called for refrigerator repair and they came a day later. The technician called me one hour before he came, and he came in time. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem and charged me only the diagnose fee.

Was extrememly unhappy with the price of the repair with the scam being that you can decrease the amt to closer to what it should have been if you buy a home warranty product. OMG. Really. This is first class bate and switch . Never again.

Never use them! Their customer service is an absolute joke. To be fair the technician we had was very kind and knowledgeable. To no fault of his own had to set his follow up return to actually fix our dishwasher a month out. And not to mention their window of time is between 8-5 and they cant give you a smaller time frame. So you have to take a whole day off. And our technician didnt show up until 5. A whole day of work wasted. They do not have a local number and their call center reps are not helpful, and have no idea of what they are doing. We then cancelled our return visit and went with Andys. No wonder sears is going bankrupt. I am not impressed, and will make sure I never let a friend or family member use this service.

Our Refrigerator is only 5 years old, I had to wait 5 day for the compressor to be replaced on July 06 now it has broken down again 20 days later. I was told today it will be 3 days before a repairman can come and a window of between 8-5 Evidently I am suppose to stay home from my other appointments and wait, just a simple AM or PM would be appreciated. Throwing food out again this will be our last SEARS refrigerator. I think the repairman did his best. Should the Kenmore Elite refrigerator be recalled as I think the compressor has an issue of going out?

The technician did a great job. I had (or so I thought) an issue with the twin blades mowing uneven. He measured everything and checked to make sure all the bolts were there and hadnt fallen out, check the one side against the other side to make sure both sides measured the same distance from the concrete driveway (both level). Very satisfied with his knowledge and skill. Thank you Sears Home Services for providing this service.

Dan, went through all the steps to diagnosing the issue at hand. He ordered the part, it was shipped out and he was back the following week to finish the job. What was nice was he also knew his information regarding signing up for warranty and that in the future he would be happy to sign me back up for another 5 years. Thanks again Dan!

First, Id like to say that our technician was fantastic! He was helpful and respectful. He knew exactly what needed to be done and did it. He explained what he was going to do. What I really appreciated was how realistic he was regarding what needed to be done vs. the cost. He was great!I really dislike the process used to sign up for service. There need to be more technicians available so customers have more options without waiting so long. I also hate the 9-hour window customers have to work with. Even if it was a four hour window, thatd be better. Taking an entire day off for a one- or two-hour service is irritating. And customers are inconvenienced because of this scheduling practice.The techs always do great, efficient work. I have no complaints with them at all!

The service representative called 15 minutes before arriving. He was professional and efficient in servicing my appliance. He also answered any questions I had and explained what the problem was, and what I could do to prevent it in the future. It was one of the best service experiences Ive enjoyed in the past few years!

We called, stating a recurring problem, from year prior. 4 techs & 3 weeks later, the part we said was broke, was replaced. Techs need to learn the machine, instead of relying on diagnostics, which have not been upgraded to diagnose the newer machines. Now have 3 new parts, and only 1 of them needed to be replaced. :) Nice guys, though

I used the chat online to figure out what was wrong with our grill. The gentleman was kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the wrong part was ordered. I contacted them again using the chat feature and requested someone come look at the grill. The correct parts were ordered. We then had to make an appointment with a technician. It took forever! The technicians did a good job and were kind and helpful. The process took us nearly the entire summer break (prime grilling time) to get fixed. Luckily, we had a warranty and the parts and labor were covered.

He came, he saw, he conquered! It was a long day before my slot in the schedule arrived, but at that point he called that he was a few minutes out, he showed up, I showed him the dryer, he double checked the obvious (power good), popped open the top control panel, saw the disconnected plug from the timer unit, plugged it in, and stayed around a few minutes doing the normal making sure all was working correctly. Very pleasant,glad to be of service even if it was super quick.

My service person did a great job when he came. However, I wish that you would provide a window of time for service. It is very inconvenient for customers to have an entire 8:00AM - 5:00PM day open for staying home and without any notification as to a time estimate for service. I only had a 5-10 min. warning of his arrival. An early morning call to estimate even morning or afternoon would be less stressful!

Service person came out in a timely manner. He was very courteous and friendly. Explained what the problem was with our clothes dryer to my wife, plus offered maintenance tips to help keep the problem from happening again, and fixed our dryer professionally and quickly! It just doesnt get any better than that! Thats why we keep having Sears appliance repair service our products in our home.

DO NOT USE: I called at 9:30am to set an appointment on my day off (Im a teacher so these dont come often). I patiently waited all day with the 8-5 arrival time they gave me. At 4:45 I called and the time changed to 6:15, which was not pleasant but I was ok with. I called again at 6:30 when no one had arrived. The first person on the call line told me happilly they were on their way. I wanted to voice my irritation with a manager, so I asked and was transferred. When the manager answered, I suddenly got a different story. You werent home and missed your appointment. I informed him that I had not left my apartment once (except to walk to my car for my checkbook at 11:15) and had my phone plugged in by my side all day. I ask for a discount and get offered 20% on the service call fee ($15). That is hardly enough to make up for a wasted day. Heres the kicker, I live an apartment. They couldnt have possibly checked if I was home without calling. Im sure he does multiple apartment calls a week. The manager had no information on the time he called or the how they checked if I was home. The only reschedule they would offer me was 8-5 tomorrow. I wont make that mistake twice. Call Waynes Appliance... a five minute phone call and I have an appointment set for Wednesday evening between 6:30 and 7. Cheaper, more personal, local, and you wont get lied to by a calling center manager.

Absolute worst repair/customer service I’ve experienced or heard of to date! I don’t even know where to begin... I’ll start with the call center and their lack of knowledge. Even more so, their convenience to the customer. They say they will send a technician sometime between 8-5 and there is no way to narrow that timeframe. Due to the large timeframe, it leaves us with having to take an entire day off work. With that, the technician will be coming again today (for the 4th time) to “fix” our ice maker. The previous 3 attempts were nowhere near constructive in finding a solution to the ice maker issues.1st service call to fix ice maker: I tried to explain to the technician what the issue was and how I’ve already tried to fix it myself. (I always try to do the research to fix things before I will pay for service) The technician was not interested in what I had to say and proceeded to do exactly what I had already done. He took the ice maker apart, put warm water into the water inlet valve, and put it back together. Technician said, “it should all be good!” In the next 3 days, the ice maker made 5 tiny ice cubes and has made none since.2nd service call to fix ice maker: The same technician showed up with no tools in hand. He asked for a glass to put water in. He drew water from the fridge and told me that the water pressure to the fridge was too low. (I already knew this and tried to explain to him twice already) The technician has never pulled the fridge away from the wall or checked the water supply lines. I attempted to ask him how this could be resolved or if he could fix the issue, but he was already walking to the door to leave. I received no advice nor did he attempt to fix the issue.3rd service call to fix ice maker: The very same technician left a sticky note on our door saying “sorry we missed you” without ever knocking or ringing the door bell. I seen him backing out of our driveway and tried to stop him but no success. I immediately tried calling the phone number on the sticky note and was told “we’ll put in a request for them to return before the end of the day.” I never heard back from them, besides to reschedule for a different day between 8-5...Today is attempt number 4 to get this ice maker fixed! The fridge is barely 2 years old! It costed over $100 for the service call and has a 90 guarantee but it has costed me nearly $1000 in days missed at work!! If it is not fixed today, I will be contacting someone of high authority and requesting a refund at the very minimum.

My freezer, which was under warranty, was replaced because of parts failure. Sears personnel via Internet, helped with the claim reporting by giving me (a computer dunce) the addresses to use. I gave up one day and the following morning found the information I needed in an email from them. They hand-carried me.I now have a replacement, delivered by two young delivery professionals.The situation was handled by caring people in a professional manner from beginning to end.Ardith H. Replaced the motherboard per refrigerator showing 1F error code. Covered under mfg warranty. Other issues were water being dumped on bottom of fridge and ice built up in vents in bottom of fridge and all around the vents. Refrigerator is 9 months old. This is a known issue with some of the LG refrigerators sold as Kenmore Elite. Ours is a counter depth French door Kenmore Elite model.After the repair, ice maker no longer works and after 4 days still ice in vents. Water stopped dumping on bottom of fridge after a day or so of repair. 1 item fixed, 1 not, and 1 problem created. Called Sears and they are coming back out for another try at the repair.

This has been a 6 month saga that started with a leaking water filter and ended up with a $1000 bill and a new compressor. Of course, I am barely a year out of warranty. And my ice maker STILL doesnt work. So, next week will be the 7th time I have taken time off of work to meet the Sears repairman. Two days after replacing the housing for my water filter, which was where the original leak was, I noticed my ice maker wasnt working. within a week my freezer started to warm. Supposedly it was just a coincidence that the compressor decided to go out right after the water filter housing was replaced.

Thougt my service was covered by warrenty, the guy didnt give a quote and when he finished he chared me $200. He change my blades, spark plugs and filter and said the old ones were in very good condition and left them in garage. He should have consulted wih me before if i didnt need the tun up.

The service repair man was excellent. Gee called before he arrived and was quick with the repair and answered every question I asked. he was polite, courteous and neat. But the call in center is another story. Before the scheduled day I had called the center to confirm the appointment and to ask questions about any other charges. The woman I spoke with was very rude very short with me and would not answer any questions directly. She constantly floated around the questions and would never give me a straight answer. I was considering getting rid of the units I had purchased after talking with the call in center because I just didnt want to go thru this style of run around again but after the service tech arrived I realized that it wasnt this style of additude thru out sears just with that particular call center rep. I give the service a 5 star but the call in center only gets 1 star and thats only given because they answered the phone

I brought my machine in for repairs & I was told it would be a few days and would get a phone call , Found out they had sent my wife machine in to another place for repair , It took weeks then turned in to months finally they called , So I went to pick it up , No repairs done at all , I was told they were not able to fix it. Scheduling a routine yearly maintenance turned out to be one of the worst customer experiences of my life. We have a warranty on our washer and dryer which are about two years old as a part of this warranty we can schedule a yearly maintenance thats free first year went fine this year we went to schedule a maintenance and a appointment was given. No narrowed down time basically a 8 to 5 on a particular day, so my wife had to take the day off from work, maintenance guy comes and he was nice enough he informed us that do to the location of our washer and dryer the room was a little bit chilly and he cannot perform the maintenance that day he also informed me that I should buy a space heater for that room to help with the possible freezing of the pipes that bring water to the washing machine, the appointment was there for rescheduled to about a week from that date I went out and I immediately purchased a space heater for that room, so now comes a week later and he tells me that the heater was not enough and there was a issue going on with my pipes he attempts to do some type of service on the washing machine anyways but says he will have to order some new parts and reschedule again for another week from that day, again no specific time during this rescheduling day just 8 to 5, my wife who has now stayed home for a second day calls me mortified our laundry room has now flooded theres water coming from inside the machine and from the pipes behind the machine I leave work early go home clean up this water mess more water continues to come out from the washing machine, we up the maintenance guy and he tells us equivalent of that sounds like a plumbing issue call a plumber, another week goes by and now our third appointment date is here that day I did a call from the maintenance guy, a different one, asking me if I have received the parts in the mail that caught me by surprise that I was not informed we were supposed to receive parts in the mail but after sorting it out he checked it and come to find out these parts that he would need would not come till after 6:30 p.m. local time so he could not perform maintenance on that machine he attempted to reschedule me but the next closest date was two weeks away so now we have gone almost 2 weeks without washing laundry with the prospect of having to wait another two weeks in order to have machine maintenance so he told me I should call the customer service 1-800 number and attempt to reschedule for a closer date and THIS is where my nightmare really began.We called the 1-800 number, I informed the customer service person which by the way is clearly Outsource to India but that is neither here nor there. I informed this person whats going on I need to reschedule a closer date my wife has missed several days of work due to this issue and weve got a couple of weeks without doing laundry they tried to give me the same day that the maintenance man was trying to give me which was about 2 weeks out from the current date I told him that is unacceptable and I would like the following Monday which is the 15th of January which was Martin Luther King Day a holiday on which post me my wife would be off from work this person told me that they will try to give me that date but would have to give me a call back because he needs his check with scheduling department.We never received a call, and so was the case when I called back three different times and spoke with two supervisors all of which me promises on scheduling us for the correct date and giving me a call back. We eventually called one more time got through to the Spanish customer service representatives and a very helpful person was able to resolve our issues within minutes.Overall this was a horrible experience we will be canceling our Sears card and never ordering from them again.
