Following an order placed in the special projects for a simple delivery of floorboards, we were given a 1 week delivery date. Upon delivery we recieved the wrong product and quantity. We ordered 300 feet, they attempted to deliver 300 16ft boards. We turned the delivery around and attempted to get the original 19 boards. Not only did we get a run around from both Mike and shipping we did not ever get a resolution. We explained that we have a timeline with our contractor and the boards were vital to that timeline. Mike then calls and states he had the boards but they disappeared and were lost. He would have to order them again. Not once did he offer us a rebate, store credit, free shipping however he did give a horrible negative attitude and somewhat aggressive behavior. Absolutely the worst customer care from this store. We refunded the cost ourselves after a 30 min hold on the phone. I cannot believe they allow someone like that to work as a customer rep. They boards were $1 a foot, while I found the same boards in stock about a mile away for $9 a board with amazing customer service.

I usually enjoy shopping in the garden department this time of year, fair prices and the girls at the register are very friendly. However, there is an older man inside who isn’t so friendly. When another employee asked him about a fire pit I was looking for, he responded with “ a fire pit? It’s 80 degrees outside 🙄”. So I went to another local center for my purchase. The attitudes of employees have a lot to do with where I shop, or don’t.

Very helpful and friendly staff I drove through the lumber picked up they loaded my truck with no problem.

Awesome store and always has things other big box stores do not have on the shelf.

Great place to get odd projects done, I call it imagineering, using items for there not intended purpose to achieve a certain durability while completing a project. Met a few people that work there, explained the idea and received some excellent input. It took 2 trips but I accomplished my goal. Thanks for thinking outside the box with me. To summarize this long explanation for those who wish to get to the point...the store has good products that I did need. However, they were out of those products and the employee that I dealt with were very unhelpful and dismissive.So I was looking at the display model for a storage shed out in front of the store that was the very size I needed. I went in to see what quantity they had on hand. Luckily the guy I asked was already looking at the sheds and told me they had none on-hand. So while I went to check out some power tools, I asked him to double check to make sure they had none and get me information on ordering one. So after finding they were also out of the power tools I was looking for I return to ask him what he had found out for me. And even though it was less than 10 mins later (at most) the employee looked at me confused and when I asked again. He had to ask me what I was even talking about. I explained again and then when I asked him the time period it would take to get more in stock he told me it would be awhile not actually answering me. It was clear he had no clue when and furthermore was not going to find out for me. So I took a sale paper and left.

Typical Stines. The worker at the gate to pick up appliances was not friendly or nice. She should have stayed home today. She needed rest. The rest of the employees were nice and cs friendly.

Locally owned and operated is where I like to purchase whatever I need. The manager and sales persons in the flooring department are really nice and awesome at helping you .

I came here to get products for killing bumblebees, We have a pool party today for my grandchildren, And the nest is right next to the pool, I was stung last week, Due to the Bees aggressiveness, Wasn’t going to happen today with my grandchildren! Was looking for some kind of chemical spray that would knock them down, and another that would be a residual effect, Thanks to the folks at Stine, I left with different products, It started off with one person helping me, I explained the same of what happen above, And it’s like they took it personal, And they were treating their own backyard, 3 - 4 people were involved, The last guy not only showed me what would work, but showed me this picture of what happened within 10 minutes of hanging the Trap / product, To me that goes a long way, and I appreciate it more than you’ll ever know, Thank You!

Why have cashiers if they are going to be rude and uncaring. Why have a group of workers chit chatting and when you ask them where something is, they direct you and no one is there to help you! I guess I irritated the cashier when I asked for a price check. Since I have been going here, every cashier never smiles and show that they dont really care about their customers. So I go to Lowes.

Why does no one answer the phone? I live far away and won’t make that trip if you do not sell this on sale item!

No one answers the phone or they answer and hang up on you. Its been over 3 months since I ordered and paid for doors and they havent come in yet.

Arrived to buy top soil with my 74 year old dad at 4pm today. After paying we were told to drive through the garden center and someone would be called to load the bags. We drive in and no one was there Waited a but over 5 min and honked. Young man with hand card came by and dropped empty crates and then proceeded to leave. After 15 min we honked again and after more time we got our ourselves and started loading. My dad is 74 and handicapped and I am in my 50s. After we finished, we noticed a young man who had watched us load. If you are management, I would think you would want better for your store. Shame on you Stines

Well kept,clean, good service

Ive never had any problems getting someone in the store to help me, but dont ever call them for assistance or info by phone. Initially the call is answered but then youre placed on hold for an eternity.

Called to talk to someone to repair my dishwasher that I bought new from stines. No one will answer the phone other than the operator that put you on hold. They sell the appliances but don’t seem like they want to do the service.

They always seem to be out of stock on the regular items. Always end up going to Lowes or home depot

Crazy busy everyday start doing well too keep up with it

I called to check the status of an online order and the service I received was horrible. I spoke with Felicia who told me the window unit was in stock but that she needed to check if it was for my order , she placed me on hold then hung up on me. I called the number back three times and was sent to voicemail. Then I called the store phone where Gabrielle answered and placed me on a 30 minute hold and never answered so I hung up and called again and she answered right away. I explained to her that all I wanted to know was if my order was ready because I wasn’t driving from around the corner to pick it up but from Lafayette and my pick up time was for 12:00 and I hadn’t received notice and it was 12:15 already . She immediately transferred me to Felicia once again who placed me on hold AGAIN and another woman answered very rudely asking me who I wanted to speak to. I explained ONCE AGAIN that I was calling about my order and she told me that they didn’t have my item after Gabrielle and Felicia had told me they had one in stock. Extremely unprofessional and horrible service received from this store!!

Love the atmosphere here at Stine Lumber. Each time I choose to shop at my local Stine Lumber on Nelson Road in Lake Charles I know Ive made the right decision. The moment I walk through the doors I am greeted by each employee in eyesight. Almost 100% of the employees are so courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. I honestly have no complaints but there is one employee that stands out the most in my head and that is Ms. Ada Simien!! Ms. Ada is there for me each and every time I shop. If she wasnt in eyesight I ask them to call for her over the radio and if shes not with another customer she comes right away. She makes me smile and laugh all while personally walking me to an area if I am unfamiliar with it. If asked, she would help me complete my entire shopping list. Thank you Stine Lumber for having this AMAZING LADY as part of the Stine Family. And also thank you for having such other great employees as well like Brooks, Mr. David, Faye, Mr. Wayne, etc. I choose Stine Lumber over all the other closer lumber yards (and even Amazon for the small things) simply because of the kindness and helpfulness of the people you employ. Terrible receiving team. Takes an hour and a half to have 1 pallet unloaded... Ill never spend a dime here if this is how they treat the people bringing the products they sell.

But ive been on hold 2 hours and 20 minutes on the column line and i know i was not the whole 2 hours in the store but maybe an hour or maybe justi 30 minutes or less but was wanting to spend some money planning on spending a lot of money online someone there but that thing that i can get online i cannot find the brand new stuff theyre only selling the old stuff at cheap price trying to get ready for the next year. Wonder living answer this call before anybody asking you i need help i guess i look like i dont have any money you know nothing in my cart just walking in circles saying you think of files in the same sections im done tried to move around to the 20 now then went from all the DeWalt section and you know walkie drill bits the ladders the doors now im in the plumbing section yeah probably just wasting time for this phone call but i still water like them help well i guess next time i love you customer service

Im a maintenance man by trade an had a bad experience about no return policy about elec breaker got to job site an they were the wrong breakers an didnt need breaker just reset the old one 60 worth of breaker not a hour of purchase an i lose a whole days pay

Spent an hour and a half in Lowes trying to find electrical connections. The place was so unorganized making it impossible to find the things I needed and to make matters worse, the employee I asked for help more or less blew me off (apparently whatever he wasnt doing was more important). I ended up walking out extremely irritated, leaving behind the few items I could find. I went over to Stines and talk about a breath of fresh air. Everything was organized in its proper location and more importantly there was someone there to help!! Mr. Dennis in the electrical department was beyond helpful! I sat in the middle of the isle telling him all the things I needed and as fast as I was reading items off my list, he was grabbing them. 20 minutes in and out! I couldnt have been happier. I went from being agitated wasting 2 hours of my day to being quite happy thanks to Mr. Dennis. If you want good customer service, Stines is the place to go!

#1 lumber company in southwest Louisiana. Been going hear since. Been doing so ever since. Being a carpenter most of my life been there thousand times. If you cant find what ur looking for they will get it for u. I know most of the sellsmen and they All ways made u fill that u come first.

Dont go on Saturday. A guy from another store was working appliances, and he had to login 3 times to get his computer to sell us from lake Charles store. So we get to checkout, and she acted like she had never seen the paper before but we checked out quickly. In the loading barn, the first guy helped us he didnt know where appliances where and he didnt have a radio. We finally got to appliance barn and the fork driver was an expert and loaded the appliance professionally.

Called to ask if they had some chairs in stock. They told m that they didnt carry that brand even though their website said otherwise. After going into the store, I found 30 of the chairs they didnt have.

Small town service. Prices are a little higher than large chain stores but the staff is Friendly and knowledge. Firm about closing times and made announcements every few minutes😀.

The reason I bought my lawn equipment from Stines is the promise that they service what they sell. Problem is they have my blower and trimmer now for several weeks and still not repaired!
