A month ago I made an appt for chimney & fireplace cleaning & inspection. On Wed. I received an Email confirmation of my appt on Fri 9/3. Correct time, address, ... I moved everything away from the area as requested. Friday I waited for over an hour and a half - NO SHOW. I called ECC and was first told I didnt have an appt. I said I did and had a confirmation email. She said that doesnt mean anything. She checked and found they had cancelled my appt. I said I didnt get any notice, no call etc and had prepared and waited for their visit. Was told they had no techs in Seattle then. Later she said she could schedule me for the afternoon (2-4) and see if she could find someone. I said thats not going to work, not waiting around again for maybe show and waste more of my time. She apologized but didnt offer to schedule another firm appt for another day, nothing. Told her how disappointed I was in them. I gave them 2 stars only because this summer I used them for a much more expensive job to replace a chimney wind chaser and cap. they were on time for both the estimate visit and to do the work. But my simple request for a chimney cleaning wasnt important enough for them to follow thru.

They refused to “be involved” with my project because the previous renovations (from an earlier homeowner) were not done to code. Unhelpful.

I almost never give 5 star reviews. I have dealt with so many contractors recently after buying our first house and can honestly say Emerald City has been the best to work with. They were safe, thoughtful, and careful while they were here and arrived within the window they said they would be here. Wayne identified a major issue where another contractor had recently applied the wrong kind of sealant on my chimney that couldve resulted in greater expense and damage for us down the road. Trish was also incredibly accommodating to the fact that we needed the chimney work done quickly and found a way to squeeze us in despite their busy schedule. Another chimney specialist gave me a quote that was significantly more expensive and included work that didnt need to be done. I appreciate that ECC was honest with me in their appraisal and did excellent work. Highly recommend.

These guys are great and worth the wait. Timely, super professional, and affordable. Came out to my house and took care of my chimney cap same day. Will have them seal the chimneys in the summer. Highly recommended .

I had ECC do a chimney tear down and rebuild. They did quality work and I am very pleased with the end result. The crew were on time, neat, and cleaned up well. From the front office to the construction crew, they were professional and courteous in every interaction I had.Highly recommend.

I felt extremely unsafe while the Emerald City Chimney technician (Bruce) was in my house. He did not arrive at the correct time, was rude immediately upon arrival, unprofessional in appearance, and didnt know any details about the work that was to be done at my house.When I asked him questions about the work to be done, he got incredibly agitated and yelled at me in my house. He accused me of not being the homeowner (I am, though I am female and was home alone at the time), of asking too many questions, and did not want me to call his companys office. When I did, he stormed out and left.I was told by the office that there are no other technicians, so they cannot send someone else to my house.I think there are significant safety concerns for anyone who uses Emerald City. Id recommend that you steer clear.

The entire ECC team deserves a huge shout out. From the beginning, Jill was extremely pleasant to work with in the office. Wayne and his crew were very professional, kept the work site clean, taking steps to protect both the inside and outside of our house, and did great work. Wayne had to deliver some bad news to us, which increased the scope and price of the project, but he and Brent were tremendous in working us into the schedule immediately so that they could continue the work already in progress and worked through the challenges with us. Cant say enough positive things about them, their crew, or the work performed. Thank you!!!

Talking with Brent over the phone was such a relief. He provided so much peace, and helped me fix my problem temporarily, tiding me over until someone could come out to the house! I am looking forward to working with Emerald City Chimney in the future!

Wayne and the crew at Emerald City were absolutely fantastic. When I first called I spoke to Jill who is extremely pleasant and organized and very nice to converse with. We got on the schedule right away. We were a bit concerned that our chimney rebuild was going to cost a fortune; but Emerald City was able to do it extremely affordably and we have a nice new chimney we can be proud of...and its safe again! Thanks to Wayne and his awesome masons for doing one heckuva great job!

I bought my first home in Everett in 2015, hired ECC to come and make sure my fireplace was good to go for my first fall in my new house. After they replaced both dampers, and the crown and a few other things for a few thousand dollars, my fireplace still did not operate correctly, brining tons of smoke in my house. After going back and forth with them about their lack of availability I gave up. Its been three years and I still have not used my fireplace. I called today and asked for an appointment for a test fire. Their earliest appointment was December 13th, more than two months away. I asked if there was anyway I could get an earlier appointment, I was told Im being rude and Lori actually hung up on me. When I called back and asked her how she can do that to a customer who has paid multiple thousands to them, she told me to stop calling and to never call again. Ok, ECC, you win.

Company has been around for years they do excellent Masonry restoration
