Called ahead of time & asked if they could replace my battery, gave me the wait time right then and there & said I could come in and wait. I was already waiting at Walmart (mothers recommendation) for over an hour and hadnt even had the opportunity to buy a battery. Got here, they got me in very quickly, let me know how much it would be to replace the battery 20 min later & got my car in! Will definitely recommend mikes if I know anyone who needs some car help😇

This is my go to place for all my car repair needs. Have been going there for years, prior to being called Mikes they used to be Merlins. Same owner Bob, I believe though I didnt see him there this time. Good customer service , honest and dependable. Never had any issues with there work and Ive had a lot work done on numerous cars over the past 20 years.

Brought my car here because it was making a strange noise. 700 dollars later they told me it was fixed and I shouldn’t have any further problems. Had to bring it back because the noise started again and my serpentine belt (which was just replaced by them) was shredding. They replaced the belt again and said everything was fine and I was good to go. They did not even address the issue that was messing up the belt, they just said sometimes this happens and to come back if I have further issues. Not even a week later I was stuck on the side of the road because my serpentine belt came off my car due to my water pump locking up. Long story short. Do not bring your vehicle here if you are unknowledgeable about cars because they will rip you off and not fix your car so you can keep coming back. Very disappointed, if I could give zero stars I would.

Bob and his crew are so friendly and honest. I cant say enough great things about this shop, its a shame because the more people that find out how great of a shop this is the busier it gets and that ups your wait times, but it is the only shop I trust to do all of my maintenance and mechanics on my vehicles. A friend recommended them to me and I have been nowhere else since.

This place always does a great job for me. Ive had oil changes done, headlights repaired, and am going to them for breaks and rotors as well. Pedro is very nice and professional and always is very informative too. All of the men who work there deserve credit for a job well done !

This place went above and beyond for me and my family. We are from Michigan and we’re vacationing in Chicago, Of course our car breaks down leaving us stranded in Illinois. I explained our situation, and they were able and willing to help anyway they could! They were honest with a good price and was able to get me back on the road the same day! My only regret is living in Michigan because I’d make them my regular mechanic.

Add me to the list of very satisfied customers. I even enjoyed what they had on TV in the (clean) waiting area. Had my muffler replaced and a heat shield issue repaired, out in an hour. Very happy with the cost of repair as well.

I was told not once, not twice but four times and they even looked at my motorhome to replace the exhaust system. I was even given a price. I was told to drop it off which I did that they needed a couple of days. 6 days later I get the call they cant do it. They lost a customer today. Do your homework before going here.

I had a previous check on my heater with another car repair service. I was told the radiator was full of gunk and had to be replaced. I was also told my water pump leaked and the belt was saturated so I needed them both replaced. Cost $11000.00. They topped off the radiator..charged me $20. I took it for a second opinion to Mikes. It was checked over thoroughly and was told radiator was good and there was no leak in the pump. They showed me the pump and belt....completely dry. No charge. So satisfied with a business of honesty and integrity.

You can watch them do all the work and if there is a problem with the car they take you out into the bay and show it to you. Excellent in every respect and you leave with peace of mind knowing that your vehicle has received the best possible service.

Ive been going to see Bob for a couple years now. Its great to find a mechanic that will straight up tell you whats wrong, what must actually be fixed, and what can wait. Pricing is fair, the employees are nice, and the facility is clean. Thet has the skill of a top end shop with the feel of a down-home business.

Deceptive practices. I called to find out how much the full service synthetic oil 🛢 change was I told it was on sale for 49. 99 and it included everything. It was like switch and bait. I sent my car there and was charged for an oil filter and heaven knows what else. I called an spoke with the guy again and asked him why was I told that full service synthetic oil change was 49 and added all these extras to the price. So he agreed to give me five dollars back, but that wasnt enough. Im still upset 😡. Some people are working with only a certain amount of money. Thats the reason why you call first to make sure if you have enough. What would have happened 🤔 if I hadnt had the money to pay. I was charged $62.13. With $5.00 for the oil filter and $5.00 for shop supplies. Isnt the oil filter included in the price of an oil change. He refunded $5.00. So was that for the shop supplies or is that for the oil filter that should have been included with the price. My main point is for you to charge the price you quote. And if the oil filter isnt included tell the customer and let them make the choice. Dont just pad the bill.

Took my car to Bob @Mikes More Miles thinking i needed a heater core because my heat stopped working. Come to find out I needed a water pump and a new Serpintine belt.I dont know too much about cars but i know i didnt have the money to get it fixed. Long story short.... what Bob did for me i know for a fact no other car repair shop would have done it. I only had $100 on me til payday. I told him my situation and he told me he knows i need my car and its getting colder outside. He told me to give him the $100 and pay the rest when i get paid. THANK YOU SO MUCH BOB..YOU DIDNT HAVE TO HELP ME . I GREATLY APPRECIATE YOU AND YOUR GUYS. I AM A FOREVER LOYAL CUSTOMER

This is the first shop ive ever been to that was super friendly and told me exactly what i needed! The owner was the sweetest and steven got everything fixed for me! I definately recommend. They didnt try to tell me i needed this n that they just told me exactly what was wrong. Go here! They wont steer you wrong!

Did my oil change within a half hour. Unfortunately my power steering light came on the next day. Not saying its their fault.

Pedro was great. He went over everything with me in detail, advised me of what needed to be done and what could wait Very friendly, professional and honest.

The first time I stopped there they told me it would be an hour and a half to get my oil changed. Im happy that they did not lie and say a half hour and then Im stuck sitting there. When I went back later that same day I was in and out with friendly service and a reasonable price.

I am glad to have found Mike More Miles in Joliet. The ownership is honest, hardworking, and all around knowledgeable. They had my car in and out in no time. The manager Bob will do anything to make a buck. Took a tire there to be repaired, he told me it was beyond repair and needed to be replaced. (My husband had pumped the tire five days before that and it still had air in it and I drove the car there).Then I said ok, replace the tire, but I would like the old one to take with me. ( because I knew it could be repaired somewhere else,) He obviously destroyed the tire, cut it so it could not be repaired anywhere else.I thought these people were trustworthy, but I will never return there for any more oil changes or any more work on our cars. Every time we take a car there he is trying to tell us it needs more work done than it actually needs. He tried to tell us once that we had to replace both calipers because one was bad . Not true! We replaced the one caliper ourselves and the car has run for two years since then with no problems!Goodbye and good riddance! Would not recommend this place unless you are very careful and know exactly what’s wrong with your car before you go there!!

They have a now hiring sign and my husband goes in asks for an application for our daughter who is certified macanic and as soon as he says its for our daughter the guy says no apparently they refuse to hire a woman no matter her qualifications I guess we are still living in the stone ages . Not to mention the guy was extremely rude and unprofessional
