We were traveling and our car’s check engine light came on. I called and they diagnosed my issue immediately. What a knowledgeable mechanic shop. I can’t say enough good things about them.

Very unprofessional and rude business. I would not recommend them to anyone. Was charged over $500 for a check engine light check.30 mins was leaving you hanging all day? You became extremely rude and and charged me $500 for an 80 service after you found out I was taking my service somewhere else, To a company that respects their clients. When I called back about getting that $500 credited you hung up on me rather than refunding my money for a service you didn’t do. Keep trying to spin it however you’d like to try and make you look better I hope all potential customers see this and decide to take their business elsewhere.

No BS, sometimes repairs can cost but they will give u an honest estimate. I dont know their names but the mechanic with the ponytail took the time to show me my worn harmonic balancer n explained to me what it does. They always warranty their work, fix it right n Ill never go anywhere else.

Was in Joliet and my belt came apart because of my own laziness. Rich called tow truck for me and got me in and took care of it. Gave me very fair price. Loved the responses to the bad reviews. Ive been in service industries for years and alot of people you cant make happy no matter what you do for them. These guys are good mechanics. I could tell by listening to their conversations. Was passing through and had some issues with my ball joints. I was traveling from Ohio to Wyoming, they got me right in and fixed my jeep. The man with the ponytailwas AWESOME and very very professional.

Had my jeep worked on with a different company and came in to have shocks installed , the head mechanic at auto medics instantly notified me of the shotty unprofessional unsafe work the other company performed and pulled me aside and showed me personally. Setting up a new appointment with auto medic to make my car safe again . Seems like some people still care about the customer these days bravo auto medics and staff!

Never been here. Obviously a very good experience. Went for a lug nut and bolt replacement, and they found fault with couple other but went above and beyond to find loose brake caliper bolts and tightened them.Nice folks...Lightened my day too. Thanks. I would recommend this place.

Honest, professional mechanics. I dont understand all the complaints. They are upfront and honest, maybe a little too blunt according to some, but if that means my vehicle will be properly repaired, and not hack-jobbed they have my business.

Theres alot of things I can say however Im just gonna go with one for now I recently called for an estimate when finding out it was way to much Rich was his name proceeded to bad mouth other shops bc he wasnt getting my buisness pretty low and unprofessional at that they should jus close this place

My car was rear ended and the trunk would not close. I took my car to auto Medics for an estimate and to see if they could do anything to help me fix this. Darren was really good about helping and explaining why the trunk would not close. He was able to fix it in about five minutes with great customer service!

Rich and the entire team has always treated us very well and always has done an awesome job on all the familys cars and always goes the extra mile to keep the costs to only what is necessary. This has been the only auto shop that doesnt try to push unnecessary car repairs. They are the most honest shop around. Will always continue to be our familys repair shop.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! Had a long list of issues with the dealership I had been taking my car to, and they “couldn’t find anything wrong.” Brought it to Auto Medics and they went for a drive in it with me and immediately knew what was wrong, and fixed it in a timely fashion. I will absolutely be using these guys for all my future car needs!

I brought my car here for brakes and an oil change and come to find out there were a lot more problems that a previous shop claimed they had fixed. They gave me top of the line products and were flexible about payment which I greatly appreciated. These guys know what theyre doing and I will always go to this shop for any car issue

Long story short, was almost charged $1,700 to fix something that we found out was not what was actually wrong with our vehicle after we went to get a second opinion at our car dealership. Fix ended being $500. Not coming back

These guys really stuck up for me in so many ways when I had my car towed there and the tow driver was way, way over charging me, I didnt have the funds on me so they added the tow to my bill which totally saved me. I called the shop this morning asked for alignment service. The man - Rich told me to drop off the car. When I get there he was on the phone barely listening to me, took my info while on the phone with somebody else. I asked him how much it will cost and whether I need front and rear or the front is enough since I had a front wheel and control arm replaced. He said they have to take a look at it to be able to tell. Fine. 2 hours later I called him and he told me that they have to put on 2 camber bolts and it is going to cost me an extra $120. I told him that I need to think about it and wanted to cancel the job. He then said he will charge me $40 because the car is already on the rack and they did the diagnostics. That is half the regular alignment price of $89.95! (My husband was in Car-X before for an alignment and they never charged him for diagnostics despite the fact that he cancelled the job for unexpected extras). I felt like Rich was taking advantage of me being a woman who doesnt know much about cars. Since I wasnt sure if I really needed those extras and I didnt feel like paying $40 for nothing I told him to get it done. Honest business? Really? If he would have told me that he is going to charge for just letting me know what needs to be done when I dropped off the car, I wouldnt felt cheated. I could just thank him and go some place else. And yes, it bothers me when businesses play the predatory game. Auto Medics, like the doctors office, you never know what its going to cost you until they are finished with you and its too late to complain. Ladys, let me give you an advise, if you need a mechanic and dont know anything about cars, ask your husband to deal with it or you will pay double. That much about my first and last visit of Auto Medics.

Horrible customer service starting with the owner down to the techs. I wish I had read some the reviews prior to taking my car to this establishment. I wouldve risk driving my car home and finding another business to do the job. Im honestly experiencing the same issue prior to them replacing my master cylinder. Great customer service brings customer back and creates a level of trust. But this place didnt provide a great experience. I plan to have a second opinion.-The owners response and attention to my dissatisfaction speak for itself (with all the explanation marks).- A loaner was given to me for less than 2 hours as a way to get my business. It was explained to me that there were only 2 workers and it would take an hour before someone to test drive my car ( at this time it was 4pm and the business close at 6pm). Initially, I had planned to leave and return within the hour, since I only live 8 mins away from the establishment. I left my car overnight and on the day of the service, a loaner was not issued to me.-The owner was rude when he returned my call at 5:14PM. I was trying to get an understanding and he stated, just come in and return the car Honda (loaner car) and we will talk then. I arrived to the establishment and the owner wasnt there. I had to speak with the two technicians who were at the desk. When they saw that I wanted time to think about, then they said I had to pay $60. Which the owner never discussed with me.-dissatisfied customer.

This is the ONLY PLACE I BRING MY VEHICLE! They are fast, reliable, and most of all... HONEST! That is so important to me because I drive for Lyft and have to keep up the maintenance on my car!

They are very unprofessional and poor serviceI took my Lexus SUV there and they told me that I have 2 bad rear break sensor and it will cost 1300.00 I took the same car to an other place they found nothing wrong with rear break sensors how ever front left was bad which causing the light to stay on and it cost me less then 500.00 to fix it saving of 800.00I found this to be way over priced.When I complained he left me a nasty voice mail with extremely abusive wording.Then send me a later to sue me luckily I saved that voice mail.Bottom line is very poor service at this place and way over charged my suggestion take your car to better place there are many good hard working honest people out there then this bunch. I would not even let them touch my bike.

I’m truly sorry you feel you have to lie to the public. Please show video footage to provide to the public who was screaming. you are held responsible for your own actions not me. I hope you think about your actions next time you decide to rip someone off.Very disappointed on the way we were treated by this owner and mechanic. I would most certainly not trust my car here in the care of such ever again. Just sharing my experience.Came in for a simple noise the owner Rick told me I was going to need rear shock mount and such work coasting a little under $500. Owner told me mine was broken and that it needed to be fixed asap. I didn’t have a good feeling so I trusted my gut. And got a second opinion. I simply Took my car into another shop to have it looked at and have a printed report stating there was nothing wrong but a loose bolt and to have a nice day coasting me $0. I’m very thankful to have been lucky enough to not pay 500$ when nothing was broke. When I went back into the shop to cancel my upcoming appointment and let them know what happened the owner immediately raised his voice and yelled and told me to get out. He had a million excuses for his actions. He threatened me and my family he will sue us if given a bad review, in return if keeping our mouths shut. Although you can not sue for an honest review. I see that down below the owner is still in denial and slandering us still calling us out of our names. Which is just proof right there an example of how we’re were treated. But two wrongs don’t make a right so I will not do that to them. The mechanic also threatened Family member that he was going to knock the smirk off of his face. I’m sure like any place he has video cameras and should show the footage of how bad they treated us.. hopefully it’s all on camera if they have one. Again we came into this shop very politely and respectful and due to our honesty the got severely defensive as they were just caught doing this to me. We had to file a police report as soon as we left. And we decided to not press charges for the threats due to fear of retaliation. Because of the threats that were made to us. I felt very unsafe and scared. I honestly just hope the owner and his mechanic realize they need to be more appropriate. We were told we are ghetto trash. Seeing that I’m very educated I do not take offense to the threats and unprofessional actions of this place. They have now lost the business of us and a few friends. I just recommend to always check reviews before entering a shop for work. As we are not the only people that have been put under this situation.

Customer service ducked from the manager and the Buisness owner. I just went there for a quote on a diagnostic test and they tried charging me $200 for a diagnostic test. Was very impolite manager and Buisness owner walked of at least twice while I was trying to understand prices and access my Buisness. They were really acting like they dont have time to fix cars when thats the Buisness theyre working for. Definitely would never recommend anybody to go here. Customer service sucks and employees are to ride to even give you a correct price. Worst place to goto in joliet.

So I’m extremely disappointed in the phone call that I received today from auto medics from “Rich”. We have been good coustomers for years. Here I am sitting in a hospital bed in extreme pain. I got a phone call about my father and how a check bounced. Which granted I would be upset too if I had that happen. However, we have a fairly good history with them and we always pay them for the work they do. I was just in a head on collision someone tboned me. After telling him I was in the hospital and there is only so much I could do. Because I’m in a hospital bed layed out I was met with rudeness and disrespect and a lack of compassion. I wanted to talk about the situation and explain that my father would never purposefully write a bad check. He struggles with learning disabilities and is special needs. We just had a crisis in our family. Money hungry Rich will get his money but I’ll make sure we never return. Shame on you for being so cruel and hanging up on me I was willing to work with you I was trying to be helpful. But that tone was just disgraceful. it’s truly a shame too because the mechanic with the pony tail is extremely skilled and knowledgeable. They don’t deserve someone like that and I surely did not deserve the manor of which I was spoken too this morning.UPDATE: Rich was angry that I left a bad review. Apparently he can’t take criticism which Is again disipointing. I just received an harassing phone call. He did not apologize l for how he treated me. I’m still in the hospital and He called and yelled at me, For what I said in the prior review. Which was nothing but the truth. He does not seem to understand how the disrespecting tone is. He then called me a “psycho” and told me I was a bad costumer. “I don’t need Customers like you” he yelled some more and hung up on me. Well look Rich.. I’m sorry your offended but that’s the truth. There is no question that you do quality work on cars. That I will say, however your attitude needs adjusting. The way you talk to customers need work. Shame on you are you that immature you need to resort to name calling? Bullying me while I’m down and in the hospital?
