Brought car in to get small oil leak repaired. Broke a ball joint which they charged me over $100 and said hey, sometimes that happens but went from a small leak to a large on and this is what I paid $500 for???? And now they wont stand behind it to make it right. Stay far away from this place, worst service ever!!

Very impressed with transparency and speed of service. Scott told me they were booked out about a week, but I could drop my car off and if they had time earlier theyd get to it.Dropped my car off in the morning, it was diagnosed be noon, and then fixed before close. I came overstate how impressed I am with the combination of candor and flexibility.

Car over heated and I stopped to see if I could get some water for the blown radiator. Not very helpful. Guy said they dont work on BMWs until he saw how easily the radiator is accessed. He didnt know I know about car mechanics and blamed the radiator issue on the age of the car (1997 though I keep it well maintained. I had to call AAA and have it towed to another shop.

They were fantastic. A little difficult to get in the first time I called but then when I called back they made it a point to get me on the schedule. We did two oil changes within a few days and service was excellent both visits. Waiting area was very clean and kid friendly which was very nice with having to bring a 2 year old in to. They did a great job!

They are good at their work and stand behind it. They are honest when it comes to recommendations for repair on your vehicle.

I really like this place. I was taking my car to another shop for the last couple of years. Recently ran into some issues with my Buick and was recommended a whole new engine at my last shop. Scott took a look at it and found 5 new codes not found at the last shop and was able to have it fixed in two days for way less than the cost of a new engine. Also recently had my tires rotates and breaks done there. Nothing but great things to say about their work and care.

Great work, great price! I stopped in on a Monday, got appt for next day, my car was fixed the same day! It was an engine/emissions system failure and I had no idea what was wrong. They ordered the part, replaced it and was done within hours! Awesome!

Fair honest prices, FAST service (especially last minute before a long weekend), and very friendly staff. My girlfriend was very happy. Some places tend to talk customers or leave them in the dark. They kept her informed and she was in and out in about an hour. Great job guys keep it up!

Big shout out to C.A.R.S.. My truck was voted to carry out a road trip with some folks and this required a substantial amount of work to be done. With a last minute phone call they got my vehicle in the week before the trip and took care of a list of things ranging from new breaks to a new exhaust manifold. Auto Repair Service for close to five years and they have kept our aging cars running like new and in great repair without breaking the bank.A local dealer offered us a great deal on a suspension repair about a year ago and we declined and took the vehicle to C.A.R.S. I have been taking my cars to this service for almost 12 years. I have never been dissatisfied. Today they fixed the air conditioning on my truck while I waited and the charge was less than $100 when I was expecting to be charged a few hundred. They are my repair shop as long as they are in business and as long as I own a vehicle.

Recently took both of our vehicles into C.A.R.S.; one for a general overview after purchasing used and the other for major transmission work. Each time CARS did a great job of inspecting the vehicle, being honest about the current problems, helping to find the smartest cheapest solution, and getting the work done properly and promptly. They are a stand up shop! It is nice to have found a place I feel so comfortable with.

I absolutely LOVE this place. My blazer needs a lot of work done and I dont trust anyone else to fix it. I have gone here multiple times even though there are multiple places that are closer to where I live. They are very honest and give you a fair price for the work. When I didnt have the money to fix my vehicle they helped me get a credit card that is only for them so I could pay for it. I have gone there about 5 times in the past couple years and every time I leave completely satisfied. Never have any problems!!

Came in to get an estimate which only took about 15 minutes and then was told a very reasonable fix and price. They were very straight forward about the work that needed to be done, their experience with such work, and how soon it would be done. They were very close with their estimate, even with the extensive work that needed to be achieved. They found a rebate on the brake pads we needed, and were kind enough to provide the form and a copy of the invoice to send with it. We expect to continue to be very happy with the outcome of their work.

C.A.R.S. has come through for myself and my kids vehicles many times. Replacing radiators, brake jobs, tie rods, manifolds, and routine maintenance. They are very accommodating with quick turn around and attention to my needs. Always willing to answer the specific questions and offer alternatives to the repairs in question. I would recommend them always!

I had my minivan repaired yesterday. Thankfully, I was able to get an appointment very quickly. Customer service was top notch. Phone calls were returned promptly. They only repaired what we approved and charged exactly what they quoted on the phone. CARS also provided a list of things we should think about repairing soon to keep it mechanically running well. We had two new tires and rear shocks repaired and the van is now running smoothly and ready for more road trips.

Got our Mercury Mountaineer repaired and new tires put on. The price was fair and I really appreciated the price break on labor I was given due to the amount of work that was being done. I was also offered another price break on labor for some future work that needs to be done. Excellent service, friendly, HONEST!!!!

Wonderful business!! Took my car in convinced it had a transmission problem. They could have easily quoted me for a transmission overhaul or a new transmission and Id have never known. However, they diagnosed a completely different problem (that will cost me FAR LESS to repair). They not only encouraged me to get other opinions if I was uncertain, they offered to give me the exact information that their quote was based on so I could be sure I was comparing apples to apples! These folks are down-to-earth, honest and very customer friendly!

We had a repair done, and within 3 months the car was making the same noises in the same area again. We brought it back and upon a quick inspection, CARS said the part they had used to replace the issue the first time had gone bad and they repaired it again for us for free! After a recommendation from a friend I finally took my car here. The guy called me within 30 minutes of dropping my car off to tell me the problem and asking what I wanted to get fixed. Im a women so he explained everything so simple anyone could get it, and b/c Im on a tight budget he told me what NEEDS to get fixed and what I could wait a few months before getting fixed. (which you never get from any autoshop) So after a few hours of work, I had my car back and couldnt be happier. Friendly service and great, honest people to work with. I am truly happy and will make this my new body shop.

So I recently started a new job in Jenison (very close to Cars) didnt think nothing of it, until I had car troubles... So I stopped in and they were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and receptive to my situation. I have two vehicles well over 200,000 miles and like to take care of them myself. However I cant do everything and this is where Cars has came into play. Like I stated they were very helpful in resolving my issue (and only my 1 issue, as trust me, my car has more than the 1). But the honest, upfront type of conversation that seems impossible to get these days is still live and well at CARS. Overall, if you have an issue, please do yourself a favor, and at least, go talk to them. Pricing is fare (much less that the dealership) and their schedule accommodated mine very well (They drove me to work in my car and drove my car back to the shop, fixed it and came back to my work. Doesnt get better). To make a long story longer, take your problems to CARS, theyll get you solutions. Thanks CARS, Justin Hanna.

Theyve always taken good care of my wife and my cars. Theyre honest in their repairs and assessments, do good work, happy to help, friendly..everything you need in a local mechanic. Once I had a car that was overheating. I didnt have time to mess with it so I dropped it off at CARS. A few hours later Scott called and said it was a loose radiator hose (doh!) and charged me about a half hour labor and the cost of replacement coolant. Could have told me any number of things and overcharged and I would have never known. Id recommend them to anyone.

My daughter is in Allendale going to GVSU and her brakes started acting up. I called C.A.R.S. Auto Repair because of the great reviews I found and I am so glad I did! Not only did they get to her car (even though they were incredibly busy) 5 days earlier than they thought they could, but it was completed within 24 hours! The price was very reasonable. I feel like my daughter has family at C.A.R.S. and they will keep her safe on the road!

So i got breaks from CARS auto about a year ago. About 6 months after i noticed a vibration in the steering wheel. Took the car in, they looked at it, replaced break pads at no charge and took care of the vibration. About 6 months later the vibration was back. They replaced rotors, break pads with a different brand completely free a year after i got the original breaks. These guys stand behind their parts and labor! great service, i highly recommend them.
