This is a fantastic company staffed by great people. After a freak accident at our home on Amelia, Scott gave a competitive quote to rebuild our screen, redo our deck and plaster and re-tile our pool. They are backed up now with all the new homes being built but they are worth the wait. Once they got started the work went fast and on schedule. We were very disappointed at the level of service we received for this job. It seems once we sent in the deposit and committed to the job, the only follow up we got from Tropical Enclosures was when a payment was due. When your subcontractors bailed on us and kept delaying the job, we had to repeatedly follow up and when I brought it to my sales rep attention I rarely heard back from him. He didn’t even have the courtesy to check on us to see if the job was complete. This was by far the least satisfying home improvement that we have received in 15 years of owning our home. I conveyed our feelings to the Tropical Enclosures team directly, because we are fair customers that try to enter into good working relationships with our vendors or contractors. And even though he job was completed, there are areas that I am going to have to redo because the finishing of paint and trim was left a bit sloppy, and does not look like a professional finish I would expect when I am paying for a professional job. It is safe to say I have a strong feeling I will not be using your services again or referring this company when asked by friends and neighbors.As a follow up before the original plans to post this review (5 weeks ago) the sales person contacted me in response to my email to the company to try and make good on some or the questionable work. No one came out or followed up with us again. So after given a second chance and still the same lack of completing what were told we feel duped and I am submitting this post in full.

This company was great to work with. Explained what I was getting and what options I could change and what not. Answered all my questions and the crew, despite rain delays, was prompt and courteous and did a great job. Highly recommend!

I spent a lot of time meeting contractors to create our dream patio. Tropical Enclosures was the only company capable of creating the Ultra View enclosure required for this project (60 ft no verticals) and every person from the ones picking up the phone, coming out to give quotes and the team creating the incredible enclosure are true professionals. Neighbors have been meeting pool and enclosure contractors for similar projects that end up shocked and taking pictures of my backyard because they “have never seen anything like it.” They went above and beyond in several areas, including some tasks and features that they didn’t have to, clearly motivated to over deliver and make our dreams come true. Very happy with the install and final product! The screen looks great, I love the expanded view! The door is soft-close. All the materials fit well. The installer was professional.They were able to give me a quote over the phone, with just measurements and pictures.The price was just a bit above the lowest quote I got, but I never go with the lowest!My only issue comes with scheduling. On the day of install, the installer turned out to be sick that day, which is totally understandable. The problem comes that I waited until about noon to call to ask if the install was happening that day and they werent sure. Turned out we had to reschedule for the next day but I never received a call back about that. I then sent an email around 8 PM that night. I can say they did respond to that email in about 15 minutes saying they would be out the following morning.So yeah, just wish they were more proactive with communication.

Tropical Enclosure did a BEAUTIFUL job on our enclosure. Their entire staff is just wonderful to work with. We had several setbacks due to COVID, weather, coordinating with pool contractors, etc... and throughout the process they were accessible and able to help and work with us from start to finish. Highly recommend them!

Took a day off work to have Steven come out for a quote. It was a pretty cut and dry job he was quoting. It has been three weeks and no response yet. I have emailed and left multiple messages. Business must be good enough for them to ignore potential customers.

Although my screen door wasnt the type or from the manufacturer that they worked on, they agreed to send someone out to look at the situation. Ashton was very courteous and friendly and knew how to adjust and repair my screen so that it would function properly. I couldnt be happier and more satisfied with the results.

Stop searching! Hire Tropical Enclosures!I have an existing screened patio with a tin panel roof. After having my house roof replaced the patio roof started to leak where it joins the house roof. Then after the hurricane last year, the leaks spread and got worse. I hired several people to fix the leaks. After many attempts the roof still leaked. Love, love, love our new screened enclosure. Also, really enjoyed working with the professional team at Tropical Enclosures. They are all amazing, from office staff to the building crew. Our enclosure is large and our roof line complicated. Ashton worked with us, patiently, until we came up with a design that my husband and I both liked. He also attended the HOA meeting with us, to explain the design and engineering specifications of the structure, to the board. We needed to make some changes during the process, and Ashton was incredibly flexible and supportive.Investing in a big project is stressful, but the team at Tropical Enclosures made it a very pleasant experience. I have already recommended this company to 3 of my friends.

I love giving credit where credit is due...if you are considering a screened enclosure, please talk to Kevin or Alana at Tropical Enclosures. I’ve seen a lot of commentary lately on whether you need an enclosure or not... I think it depends on where your lot is located. Ours is bordered by preserve so it was just not a question for us as to whether we would enclose. Plus, I’m allergic to every kind of fly bite or bee sting... so we had no choice! We had such a great experience with Tropical Enclosures! We upgraded to the new ultra-view screen, and I highly recommend it. Very few seams so your view is enhanced. I recommend that you do the heavier mesh on the sides and the lighter gauge on the roof. This keeps 95% of the bugs out (a few gnats still find their way in) but allows the wind to escape during storms. We can enjoy our pool area without being bothered by mosquitoes and other bothersome biting insects... or frogs or snakes!Very happy with our decision. Tropical Enclosures were great to work with!

We just got our screen enclosure put in with extended view. We hired Tropical Enclosure based in Jacksonville FL. We are very happy to work with them, they did a great job. Company representative Ashton who we were working with, he is very professional, courteous, humble & very helpful. Their office staff was very nice too. We would highly recommend them to anyone. Excellent company and highly recommended. Hurricane damage caused the need for new screen room that was 20+ years old. Kevin was prompt and fair with estimate and didnt try to gouge for insurance money. Due delays on other projects we were doing, Tropical Enclosures had to wait six months between removal or old screen room and install of new. They were very patient with our multiple delays, didnt raise the price, and didnt require any upfront deposits. The quality of workmanship was excellent and the crew was terrific. Tropical enclosures installed our poolcage in 2016. While satisfied with the installation, we are EXTREMELY annoyed to find out they do NOT stand behind the quality of the materials they use. The paint finish on the frame sections is oxidizing, bubbling, and flaking off. Scott came to check it out, admitted its a manufacturer flaw that he is aware of (which we confirmed afterward with another screen enclosure installer) but Scott refuses to repair or replace anything. He told us twice to go buy paint and hire a painter or handle ourselves! We would never use this company again nor recommend them.

I used Tropical Enclosures to repair some torn screen panels over my pool. The technicians showed up on time and quickly replaced the panels. The cost was as quoted. I definitely recommend this company.Robert Irvin

Excellent high quality workmanship and materials! The price was affordable too. My lanai cover has lasted through Hurricane Matthew and Irma without any issues and it looks great! The area stays cooler because the cover keeps the sun off of it all day long. A great investment!

If I had a choice I would not choose them again. My screen was subcontracted out and although it was not Scotts fault he hired the workers. They did sub poor work, they worked odd hours and schedules. Side rails were uneven roof supports were cut short but still used. Scott did take about 5 grand off the final payment and gave me left over pavers but it was one thing after another and took to long about two months. Was some what satisfied with everything till I went up on the patio roof they installed and found a big hole in one of the panels they damaged with tools and put a piece of tape over it to cover it up instead of replacing the panel what a scam would not recommend.

They put in a pool enclosure for us and did a great job, we could not be happier. We had a very complex roof line but they did a great job making it work. They arrived early each day and put in a full day everyday, wonderful work ethic. I would recommend to family or friends and would defiantly use again.

I would give them zero star if I could.We spent 30k for screening with composited roof for expanded patio. Leaking everywhere and contacted them so many times but they haven’t solve the problems yet. So frustrated with the situation.——————————————————————————Updated reviewThe finally fixed the leaking issue. We made the contract with them last August 2017 and they finished building the patio January 2017 and no more issue since late August 2018. It took almost one year to be happy with my new patio. It took longer than it should but since there is no more leaking I am happy with it.Thank you!

Had mine installed over a year ago and their quality is fantastic! I had two small issues and they were back three days later and corrected it. Highly recommend them.

We are really excited with our new outdoor space. It is everything we wanted. The work performed was very professional and timely.

Called a over a week prior to set up an appointment for someone to come out to give us an estimate. We were given a date on Friday and a 2 hr window of time that the person would arrive. My husband took off work be there but the person never showed, not even a phone call. I called the company and they had closed at 4pm, leaving a message that no one showed. I didnt receice a call back until Monday which I didnt answer due to being at work. The gentleman left a message stating the job he was on wasnt finished until Saturday so he couldnt come and he forgot to call us. Sorry but we are going to forget to call your company for anything else. If you cant show up for an estimate, how can I be sure you will show up for the work??

I really thought I did my research when choosing an enclosure company. We ended up with a structural sound enclosure with uneven beams. It’s as if they ran out of the larger material and used a smaller size for the top portion of our enclosure. Turns out it’s an “engineering decission”.Had I known engineering would have played such a roll on the esthetics side of the project, I would have asked to see those plans before moving forward.We ended up with uneven beams and caps to hide the different beam sizes. Our alternative would have been to reduce the size of the beams (affecting the strength of the structure) or cause a rutcuss in requesting they redo the entire top so all beams match.Shame on me for not asking more questions or asking to see their work on other enclosures.Paid the bill today with much disappointment.

I was taught if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all. AND this space isn’t big enough for all the things we were dissatisfied with. VERY disappointing.
