I found Automotive Perfection for repairs to my Mini Cooper. They replaced the clutch and did a number of other things quickly, professionally and at a very good price. The communication with Beth in the office is great! She is very accommodating and informative.I now have taken my older model BMW there and am very pleased with the work. I thought it would be in the shop for three days and the got it done in one! I’m taking my Tundra there next. The quality and the prices are outstanding. Great value.

Beth at the front desk is extremely personable, and willing to walk you through the process in easy-to-understand terms. The guys on the crew are passionate about their craft and are enrolled in continuous education from all of the manufacturers they service. This isnt the kind of place where your brake fluid is left at minimum level after a service - this is the practice of true experts. I simply dont feel comfortable letting other shops open up my cars hood.

This is the second time they have worked on my car in two years. I have an older Subaru WRX that has been difficult to get good service in Jackson until now. First time they removed a mouse nest in my blower. This time a full brake job and sway bar link replacements.The service is not cheap but the quality seems to be there and that translates into a good value. I have never met their staff in person as I drop it off late and pick it up late as well. That said, I have worked with Beth on the phone both times and she provides great updates regarding status and costs.I wish they worked on Infiniti and Ford but they have limited their service to select brands so they can provide expert service on those brands. Another indicator of their commitment to quality service that I respect!

Had an issue with the turbo and intake manifold in my VW. They did a thorough job inspecting and explaining the issues and remedy prior to service. Communication was great throughout the process and the quality of work done was better than Ive had from the dealership. This is the only place in the Jackson area you should be taking your import for service when needed.

I was very happy with the level of work done on my car. They overnighted all the parts they needed so they could get my car back to me quickly. They might not be the cheapest automotive shop, but with their two year parts and labor warranty and the quality of their work, they are the best.

Recently replaced shocks that were leaking on my 4 Runner and in the process diagnosed another issue that will need attention in the not too distant future. Their work is excellent, very professional, and they can be trusted to keep your vehicle in safe and reliable running condition.Previously very quickly diagnosed and repaired an electrical short that a couple of other shops could not find. My vehicle was repaired 100% in one day. The cost of repair was fair and I will trust this company with any vehicle maintenance and/or repair my vehicles need.

BMWs are very complicated and expensive machines to get repaired. I knew what I was getting into before I bought it. It’s my 3rd one. My most recent is a 2015 BMW 750Li X-Drive with a twin-turbo V-8. You can’t just get any mechanic to wrench on it when things need attention. Can you find a mechanic that is cheaper? Maybe, but good luck sleeping at night while your car is sitting at the “value” garage for who knows how long while the mechanic is studying google on his phone while looking under your hood. Bill is a very knowledgeable technician who knows all things BMW and that’s why I selected him to be my go-to guy to keep my car in pristine mechanical condition. I will ALWAYS have a BMW in my driveway till the day I die and I will ALWAYS call Automotive Perfection when it needs any kind of service.

When I was faced with more than one expensive suspension repair, they advised me honestly that a portion would be safe to wait to repair and which portion needed to be done immediately. Years back I had the good fortune to be a regular customer of Automotive Perfection. I had a Miata and a Land Rover and the owner Bill took care of my vehicles. Dealer repair shops were miles away. Bill was very reasonable in what he charged and did excellent work. Even with the best knowledge and skill troubles can happen. Once with my Land Rover Bill performed a repair but the problem resurfaced. At no charge Bill tracked down the underlying problem and fixed it. It was tedious and pesky for me and him, but he came through with an A plus. It gave me such confidence in the superior service that Automotive Perfection gives.I moved away from the Michigan area and was disappointed in my new location in Iowa to not have the kind of support I had at Automotive Perfection.I fondly remember going there and how Automotive Perfection rocks! I brought my 2002 Toyota Tacoma in that was making a load grinding sound near the rear wheels. The mechanic discovered the issue and corrected it. The staff where polite and professional. Ive had no problems so far.

The best place in town to take a foreign car. I always drive off the lot knowing that Auto Perfection stands behind their repairs. AP has serviced both our Audi and VW. Service was excellent, and in the case of the VW, 25% less then the dealership quoted for the same repair. Coupled with the 2 year warranty? No brainer.

We moved here recently from Maine, and I wasn’t sure where to bring my Mercedes E350 wagon for a suspension service light that was on. We searched online, and after reading so many rave reviews, decided on Automotive Perfection. They ran the error code the car was throwing for the suspension. We were preparing for the worst, but instead of needing both air shocks replaced, ($1500-1800 job...) it was merely $160. to fix a corroded wiring issue. In the past, I’ve been to shops that would have told me the suspension was bad and needed replacement, just to make a few extra bucks. NOT THIS SHOP!! 😁 They fixed the issue and charged me a reasonable amount to do so. They were honest, professional and respectful. Not only will I be back, I will sing their praises to anyone who’ll listen!! Thank you, for taking such good care of us!!!

Took our 2013 Honda in for what felt like an engine misfire. Through their thorough diagnostic test they found it was as issue with the transmission software. They updated the software and changed the transmission fluid (was due to be changed anyway). Weve had no issues since. Highly recommend!

This place is a total joke! My daughters car was stolen and we had it towed to this place as a recommendation from the tow truck driver. I called them the next morning and spoke to them on the phone and was told that they would take a look at it and let me know what was going on. When I finally got the estimate it was ungodly and was told that I owed them $103 for their estimate. Hind site, I now know that many places charge for that... BUT someone should have told me up front. When I asked to speak to the manager he was extremely rude and condescending! I tried to explain that I have had many estimates with out being charged... So he should be sure to inform people. He continued to tell me I should have known or asked! (I had multiple estimates for my roof and was never charged for their time?!) I am NOT a mechanic and dont know to ask that question! Then I sent the estimate to a friend of mine who usually works on my vehicles. He found that they were charging me almost DOUBLE what they were paying for the used engine. So they are buying a used engine and making double off the actual part and then also charging the labor?! I will never deal with this company again!! Even if you read through the negative ratings on here... Its humorous to see the managers responses... Continually making it out to be the customers fault and never taking blame for anything. Total Jerk!

Good diagnostics-fixed the problems i have had with my bug quickly at a competitive price. Oil changes a little pricier than the dealership, though.

I see they had my review removed... which is fair because it was a little over the top. Long story short, my Volvo broke down on the highway driving between Kalamazoo and Ann Arbor. Thank goodness I had a smart phone. Called a local car dealer who referred me to these folks. Called them and was told they might fit me in their schedule... in a couple days. Other than that, they wouldnt touch or look at it. Didnt even provide me with information on a towing service as Im standing on the side of the highway... Found an import shop in Ann Arbor whos care and service was completely worth the big towing cost. You should have read my initial review... it was glorious! I just blasted away! Felt good getting my frustrations out but probably not the most constructive. I hope theyve gotten their act together... There arent too many options in Jackson for imports. Happy to see the owner is responding constructively to all reviews now, that wasnt happening when I had my experience. That change earns an extra star to my original rating.

Brought my car here after it spent nearly six weeks and $1200 at the dealer. Dealer did not fix the problem. Bill and Beth were both upfront and honest with the situation. They kept me informed throughout the process and even seemed a little excited to work on a complex issue. Within a week he figured out the problem and had the car back on the road. Wonderful people and will recommend to anyone who asks for a good mechanic.

Read reviews and thats when we took our van here. Needed a new alternator which is what we expected. They wanted to charge $658 when the average cost is $314!!! I thought the price was normal until we looked it up that night. The next morning When we called to ask why so much (before they did the work) it was as if they were offended that I would ask basic questions about the itemized quote and they will not budge on cost. We found alternators for $98 with warranties and they said it would be $300 for the alternator and they would not change their prices. Their final cost also included the diagnostic charge. Most places will waive that if you have them complete the work. I am so glad we left and a friend referred us to Fosters garage. They were honest, found the alternator we needed for $106 with a better warranty and were available to fix it the next day for $298! Definitely do research before letting this place charge you.

Excellent experience. Very understanding and explained everything in detail with a breakdown of all the costs. They replaced the breaks and did the regular maintenance on my BMW. They also had a loaner car for me and my car didnt smell like an oil shop once I got it back. I’m definitely recommending my friends.
