First let me say that Nancy was the sweetest person I had ever worked with at J.Ellis apartment locators. Ive never had any negative experiences with J. Ellis so this isnt really directed at the business itself but more so the apartments they reach out to. I think that these apartments will tell locators what they want to hear just to get someone to apply and make money off of them. There were several occasions where J. Ellis referred me to two properties because they told Nancy that they worked with evictions, broken leases etc. But when I actually got to the property it was a different story. The first property; Bent Tree Park Apartments in Addison told Nancy theyd take me with, and the only thing Id have to pay is a months rent up front. Cool, no problem, so when I applied to the property and of course paid money; the property manager told me that she did explain, which she actually didnt that if there was an eviction on my record it would result in a denial unless I could get a co-signer or co-leaser. So that was money down the drain. The next property Parc Lake & Bayshore in Lewisville said they only took one property debt and it had to be a year old. Well that was fine because I only have ONE property debt. What should have seemed like a maybe 2 day process between background, income and rental verification turned into a two week runaround even resulting in one of the leasing agents over there falsely telling me that they wouldnt be able to work with me because my eviction was under a year old. Well thats a lie, but okay. I had proven that it wasnt under a year old and it resulted in me having to ask for my money back and to call the whole thing off because its clear they didnt want or need to lease apartments bad enough. My advice: J. Ellis you guys are great, and really go out of your way for your clients, however, I really believe that you should reiterate that you make your money off of people signing leases at apartments that you refer them to therefore, when youre calling to verify what they do or dont accept, they need to make sure that the information theyre providing over the phone with you is the same thing theyre telling a prospective tenant, because the only person thats making money when theyre making false statements over the phone is the property when they retain app fees and sometimes the admin and deposit on a unit. You guys are the ones that are losing in the end. But I do appreciate the time and effort Nancy put in to at least HELPING me find an apartment but I ultimately ended up having to find my own apartment after no luck with the apartments Nancy referred me to

I have used these locators before and always had a great experience because the locators that worked with me were very helpful in finding me what I was looking for. That wasnt the case this time around.😒 Very disappointed customer

Tiffany was great! I called her at noon on a Saturday needing to find and move into an apartment by Monday; unrealistic, I know. She found me a great apartment with everything I wanted and more. Was able to view, apply, and get approved by 3:30 the same day! Was even able to get me completely moved in by my last minute deadline. She was very easy to get ahold of by phone, text and email. Tiffany out the gate was so amazing! She got my information and went out of town for the weekend and Monday morning a text and a call saying I am so sorry I was busy this weekend I havent forgot about you here is your list. From then on she set up me an appointment to meet my apartment we went and my husband and I got approved. Wow where should I start UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING. I had been trying to get back to the city from Ennis, Texas for about 2 yrs & then I found Tiffany @ J. Ellis & boy did she go to work. It wasnt easy & we tried several places with no luck due to poor neighborhood. I had pretty much just decided I was just doomed to live in Ennis forever. She gave me address & It was literally just 10 minutes from where my son lived & worked. I was so excited, so I went & Tiffany was right it was perfect. Complex loved me & I loved them, not to mention it was not only beautiful but it was Home. Within next 30 day I was in & set up. I can never ever thank J. Ellis & Tiffany especially for never giving up or forgetting about me even when I had given up on myself. May God ALWAYS be with her & send her many rewards & maybe J. A lady harassed me at this office and put her hands on me, just for asking questions- I believe Nancy is her name and she’s the owner. Officially pressed charges after cops were called against her and awaiting the court date next month. Thank God for multiple witnesses. I moved here from El Paso. A friend refered me to Lynn Tuya (an agent with J. Ellis Apartment Locators). Well all communications were professional and via email. She got her commission for finding my apartment but when it came to my rebate for utilizing her service... Well lets just say my lease is almost over and Im still waiting for my check. A check that would help with the moving expenses--she said. It will come about 60 days after you move in--she said. I will see to it that it gets to you--she said. The few times I spoke with her in regards to my rebate or my dissatisfaction at my apartment complex, she sounded so nice and concerned on the phone too... The joke is on me. That will teach me to trust people.

They were so incredibly helpful when we first came to Irving Texas. We came from San Jose California so we had no idea what the school systems were like or any of that I appreciate their expertise.

Nancy the owner I believe is the most disrespectful PEROSN I ever met - she will disrespect people who come to look for apartments - saying to her employees they’re lookig for section 8 not real apartments - don’t waste your time helping, even mush saying they can’t afford the apartment don’t help.Argues with her employees in front of clients. I was there for 30 mins and had to walk out and look for a different provider. This place should be closed down.
