I debated whether or not to even share this experience, because it was the first of many at the Barbery that was negative. I only work with Joey and scheduled for a noon slot with him this past Tuesday. When I arrived at about 11:50 to check in I was informed that he was in the middle of doing a color and would be awhile, Joey suggested I let the girl behind the counter take care of me. I assumed, because of my experience with Joey, that he wouldnt knowingly mislead me to a stylist who wasnt up to par. The girl, who had a blue pixie haircut, did not listen to me when I explained the look I was going for ( a low-mid 3 fade, thus leaving the length I had finally achieved, high up the side.) As I explained what I wanted she checked her phone and clearly only heard 3 guard and sides, she took the clippers and ran straight up the side of my head and didnt even fade it. She continued on with the clippers, never actually pulling out a pair of scissors. I received what may have been the worst haircut of my life and the growth I had, which was several months in the making, was gone.I only work with Joey and with him only being in the shop on Tuesdays now I schedule my Tuesdays around getting in with him, this is both due to his talent as well as the consultation I receive when I go. Joey guides you to get the desired look over time. The only reason Im not leaving one star is out of respect and appreciation of the service Ive received from Joey countless times. To whomever writes the checks, if youre reading this, I would suggest sitting in on the girl with the blue hair and decide for yourself, after seeing her abilities, whether or not you want her representing your shop.

There is a lovely hair stylist there. Im saddened I cant not recall her name. But she went put of her way to make sure I look great for my wedding.

This place offers full shaves, Great haircuts from licensed Barbers and Stylist and such a great experience. Not to mention you can get you shoes shined here while you shop inside the newly designed jcpenny.

Joey is one of the best in the business. Take it from someone that is really hard to please when it comes to cuts/shaves. His attention to detail is impeccable and he just “gets it”. My cuts are so good, I find myself checking my hair out in almost every reflective surface I pass. Don’t sleep on Joey & The Barbery.

Google Maps says theyre open. Stood here 30 minutes walking around even went behind the counter looking for somebody. Nowhere around this place does it show hours of operation. Extremely unprofessional

In the corner of the newly revamped concept Pennys is a top of the line barber shop. The knowledgeable and professional staff were very helpful and quickly put me at ease. While Loren was taking expert care of my beard the team in the next chair was trying out new products and testing on each other. This commitment to the development of new skills and techniques was very impressive to see. Loren was efficient and skilled and frankly I look great and had a wonderful experience! The price was surprisingly reasonable with a beard cleanup for only $20. Loren also trimmed up the hair around my ears and the back neckline which made the overall look of my beard more complete and professional. This is definitely a place I will return to and a place you should check out!
