I have only just dropped my Duster off to get worked on, but I am giving them 5 stars simply on the most important aspect to any auto shop.... communication. They ask you specifically what you want done, give you straight answers and communicate with you the whole time. Its a far cry from other shops Ive dealt with in the past. I look forward to dealing with them in the future.

I had them replace the sail panel on my Trans am. GM used glue that caused the paint to bubble. The gaps on what they installed couldnt possibly be much work. On the front by the T-tops, the gap is huge. And on the back, it barely clears the bag glass. Jim was indignant and his wife was worse. I wouldnt take a Tonka to the people. They charged 3 times what another shop (B&B) quoted.

Ive been taking my 68 Firebird here for about a year now. They have done a great job with fixing the timing of the fuel injection system and timing, plus a few small things. The cost is a little high but so far the work is quality.

I wanted a new correct rear bumper cover for my 76 Corvette. The guys at Mid Cities Classics fit the new bumper exactly and matched the red paint perfectly. I could not be happier. Have been a customer since 2002, and have never been disappointed with any of their work.

Ive been a happy customer for man years. Heres a story Id like to share. I brought in a classic car and the A/C was not working. Being that the car was 30 years old, I knew they would find problems. After several days of going over the car, Mid Cities called me back and found the problem, it was a short. A very simple fix. Most shops would have taken advantage of the owner and ordered a new, modern A/C system, not this shop. Jim Welch is a man of competence and integrity, he runs a great crew and their attention to detail is first class. Whats even better is their professionalism and attitude. Highly recommended, a true asset to both the classic and enthusiast car community. Stop by his shop, youll wont believe the beauties in there.

Jim and his team are top notch. They are easy to communicate and work with. They do an outstanding job and fully stand behind their work. I had them replace a motor and drive train and they did the best job/work i could imagine. Everything was done properly and correctly. Would never take my classic anywhere else. You can leave it with them and trust it is in the best hands. Thank you Jim and team!

Jim charged me $700 for a 1.25 scratch that wasnt even through to the primer. Then his work was subpar with the tape blend line easily discernable and there were blemishes in the paint he put on the car. Polishing was poor too. What would you call that? I paid it to make my customer happy. We had scratched the car installing a windshield under hurried pressure by the customer. I was disappointed w other work he did on my customers car also. Jim seems like a nice guy but hang on to your wallet. Live and burn.

Jim and his crew are great! I had horrible experience with a bad mechanic in Bedford and Jim took car in and has fixed the mistakes made by the other mechanic. It seems other mechanics have some problem with fixing C4s......not Mid Cities Classics. Thanks Jim!

Since we bought our 69 Chevelle in 2009 weve taken it to a few different places. Every time they seem knowledgeable but then something goes wrong. We had originally discussed this renovation with another company. Took in the car & they said it would be ready in about 6 weeks. After 6 weeks with no communication I called & they hadnt even started on it. So we pulled it.We were driving to go look at another shop when we stopped at the Euless QT for gas. A gentleman came over & started telling us he had a classic Corvette that was getting restored at Mid-Cities Classics. We stopped by there later that day & spoke with the owner about what we wanted. He was very informative & asked what we were looking for with the changes we were making. He made some suggestions & then worked up a price for it. They were very good about keeping us updated & allowed us to stop by to check on how things were going. They did an amazing job & is now the perfect car for both of us. We love how it will get up & go but also love the way it drives on the highway.UpdateTime tells the story.Felt a vibration on the highway. Took it back to Mid-cities classics. They checked it out & said the tires neededto be balanced.Bought all new tires & had them balanced.Still vibrating.Wentback to Mid-cities classics. Jim said Speedtech had a dyno so we took it there & they added adjustable rear control arms.Still vibrating.Took it back to Mid-cities classics. We got it back & the whole car shook. Took it back to Speedtech & they adjusted thecontrol arms so that it wasnt noticeable except on the highway.Took it out a week later & the rear differential - which Mid-Cities had just put a new one in - locked up. Time for another tow truck.25k for replacing the transmission, drive train & rebuilding the engine. We found another shop that is correcting the problem but Ill wait a year or so before I give any more good reviews for classic cars.Their slogan is Correct is the only option
