Great restaurant! Food quality is just outstanding with great staff. Staff is very helpful. I simply said I want to eat something healthy the server/manager Naveen came with his recommendation. His recommendation also suited my taste. I took a peek inside the entire restaurant pictures attached.P.S. all tables have hand sanitizer for safety and masks are worn by almost everyone here.

The prices have gone up a lot! I suggest going to Kirans which has similar prices, and 10 times better experience and food. Service was slow here. Food was ok 6/10.

Enjoyable.We arrived around midday and found the restaurant largely empty. Service was prompt and friendly.Buffet lunch was offered, with common starters, mains and desserts as expected at an Indian restaurant.The quality seemed good, the flavours were good and the colouring of food was as expected and the temperature of all food was hot (that’s not always found in buffet offerings).Perhaps not the cheapest, with a buffet of two coming in at $30 or so, but certainly worth it.Good effort and well recommended.

My favorite restaurant in all of Houston. I have been there many times, always ordering something new, and every single item that I have tried has been incredible.

My last visit left me wondering if these guys are actively trying to lose customers? Ordered $40 worth of to-go food. Was told to pick it up in 30 mins. I reached there in 35 mins sharp and was promptly billed. After payment, the cashier went to kitchen and emerged after 5 mins... I was told it will be a few more mins. Another Uber-Eats Driver showed up who was told the same. I waited right outside the entrance.A total of 20 mins passed and I went in again: By this time, the restaurant had zero customers, and no staff was to be seen. Uber guy was already inside, waiting. I called the restaurant but no answer: So we both waited for 10 more mins.It was over an hour since my order and my money had already been taken. So I went to the kitchen and after a few minutes of knocking, some guy finally emerged carrying my food. He showed major attitude and acted as if he is granting me some favor by giving me the food that I already PAID for and waited 30 mins PAST THE PROMISED TIME. He told me I am supposed to wait at the entrance (where I was for 30 mins) and to not come in to the kitchen (I was outside Kitchen, not inside, coz no person was to be seen). No apologies about the mismanagement (with ZERO CUSTOMERS and only 2 to-go orders - me, and the Uber driver - but he did tell us that it just takes time sometimes.Its covid - restaurant business isnt doing that great anyway, so it is pretty stupid to antagonize repeat customers. Why would you do something so arrogant and silly?

We came at noon on Friday.Sadly, there are not that much options.In addition to the few options, at 12pm (1 hour after it is open, and 2 hours before it closes) those few options are mostly empty and/or dry.Of those few and available options, the food is edible albeit a bit on the dry side and cold.

Their buffet didn’t have lamb but they still claimed they have it. I asked before ordering buffet and they said they have it. I went just for that. And I was super disappointed. Other food items were average. Nothing extraordinary to charge that high amount for the buffet.

Best Indian food in town. The samosas were delicious, the lamb was our of this world, so tender! And the butter chicken was fantastic! Honestly, the food is really good, the environment is high class, and the service is awesome. Now, the sad news is that it kind of pricey, but it is totally worth it!

Today I have to give you zero star if I could, and I wanted to call them because their food are spoiled. I purchased on Monday, nothing like Indian food. I told them in three occasions in the past, as of recent during my Monday visit, I tried to see whether or not because of a new ownership/management because the changes are recently gone from bad to worse.After this visit , I will not recommend Ashiana at 12610 Briar Forest Dr, Houston, TX 77077 at all.

So 3yrs ago our FAVORITE restaurant in Katy closed down. I never had to ask my wife what restaurant she wanted to go to for special outings, it was ALWAYS this place. 3 weeks ago we found (apparently the original) while on a drive. Took her there tonight for Valentines dinner, this place is SO AMAZINGLY GOOD and we are so excited weve found it again! There is no better Indian restaurant in the Houston area!!! Also, SUPPORT YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANTS DURING THIS TIME, the place was dead due to the weather.

The cheese in the paneer tikka masala was spoiled. Was sick the next day. Flavors were very good except for that. Naan was fresh. Samosas were good. Not a lot of paneer in the palak paneer but there was a ton in the tikka masala. Was worried to try the vegetable dish. Please watch your food safety and store things well.I eat Indian food often and you can tell when a piece of protein is spoiled as soon as you taste it. I have maybe had this happen 2 times in 15 to 20 years of eating Indian food. This was Jan 20th for delivery. Hopefully in person they would fix/refund and other people seem to love this place. Give them a chance, maybe not on delivery. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Was sad because I ordered to have leftovers. Had to throw it out so I would not get sick again.

This place has good meat selection. However the price for buffet lunch is very expensive. For the price, I would have expected more choices in starters. There are a few other good Indian buffet places which are cheaper and give a good selection of items to pick from.

I went during the lunch buffet and the food was on my plate within two minutes of entering the establishment! Even though it was a fast bite to eat, the quality of the food was superb all around. My only concern is that I didnt have enough space for a third plate! I will definitely be coming back for lunch some time soon. If you have a hankering for good Indian food, only have a few minutes of time, and want to get your moneys worth, come to Ashiana!!!

Ashiana is a nice white table cloth indian restaurant. They have two nice wine cellar like private dining rooms and friendly service. They do have a bar but is limited. Would like to see a more inviting bar area. The food has always been very good but can be pricey. No buffet.

I hadnt been to Ashiana in years, but I was encouraged by my sister to return for a visit for old times sake. Im delighted to say that their food is as good as ever (maybe better?) and I would highly recommend this restaurant. Im no expert on Indian food but it seems very often that the food is too spicy or too heavy. For me, I like mild, flavorful and fresh tasting, and so it is at Ashiana. The place is elegant and clean and their service impeccable. I plan to return more regularly now!

Ashiana has a great lunch buffet! I recently revisited and noticed the buffet selections have been appreciably improved since my previous visit about 6 months prior. The restaurant uses tablecloths and has a nice decor. Very attentive service as well.

Id argue this is probably the best upscale Indian restaurant in town. Its very good, but if you are used to grabbing something on a paper plate on Hillcroft be prepared for sticker shock. Everything Ive tried has been delicious and the service is great though. Pricey, but worth it.

This place is fantastic. Been there forever and there’s a reason. Its good. Ordered paneer tikka, lamb corma, and chicken tikka masala with garlic naan.

Ive been to this restaurant twice now; once for dinner and once for sunday buffet. It looks very upscale, but I go in jeans and a t-shirt and never feel out of place. They have tasty dishes and a wide selection of beer--more than most restaurants Ive seen! I will gladly come back.They arent too expensive, but definitely not the cheapest Indian food in the area. However, they are the best decor of any Indian restaurant Ive been to sans The Bombay Brasserie in the Galleria.

For indian This dish flavours are Vague.....its Kids food being served and there local people are eating it for Indian Curry flavours.

This may be my favorite Indian food restaurant. They have a lunch time buffet where you can get most of the popular Indian dishes. Everything Ive tried on the dinner menu has been great. The interior is clean and usually quiet which is great for a business lunch.

Delicious food and great service! We were there for the lunch buffet on Saturday. My personal favourite was the chicken tikka. Naans (bread) are soft , buttrey,and warm just perfect. Also, kids under 5 eat free. Which was prerty awesome. All in all highly recommend for good indian comfort food.

It was our anniversary lunch planned at Ashiana and it was our first visit and will be the last one too. We got into an argument on our way back home about selecting this restaurant. Had a bad anniversary to celebrate with. Buffet over priced than the other good restaurants. Taste is horrible. Veg and non-veg lined together. I guess they cater only the western population than Indian - that is how the menu was and the pricing too. Though called traditional dishes, the significant taste is completely lost. Do you want some good food to eat and time to relax go some where else but not here. You will save money and get the satisfaction. On top of it you will be happy too.Please guys stay away from this restaurant.

I recently ate here regardless of watching the reviews, I had a hope that this wouldnt taste nasty as they mentioned in the reviews so i just gave it a try and took my couple of friends, it turned out really nasty couldnt even eat anything and paid 17$ just for couple of chicken pieces which tasted horrible. I called the waiter and asked if the chicken was fresh, she was not able to answer so i asked to ask the chef if the chicken was fresh. After couple of mins Restaurant Manager (Not owner) came up to me and claims that everything is fresh. He also claimed that they cooked this morning. Well we know the taste of todays chicken and 2 days old chicken. I checked the regular dishes prices they are way too much priced not even 5* hotels would cost that much. Totally not worthy. I regret going here and will never visit this place again.

Was always one of my favorite spots to go to when I’m back home in Houston! Great authentic Indian cuisine and they service staff are always friendly. I look forward to returning home permenantly to visit regularly.

I came here a few weeks ago with a friend for dinner on a Thursday night. I had heard about Ashiana Indian Restaurant & Bar before, so I was excited to finally try it. Between the two of us, we ordered samosas as an appetizer, channa bhatura (her) and habanero-mango masala dosa (me).Overall, the food was delicious! My habanero-mango masala dosa, despite being spicy as hell, was really yummy. It was served with two types of chutney and sambar. I really like dosa, but will probably pick a less spicy entree next time. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to eat non-pretentious Indian food in the Mission.

Buffet was ok nothing extra ordinary to pay $ 16.00. Very pricey but service was good. I would not go there again just because the food is average and prices are high. The quality of food matters more than a well dressed staff.

I had a bad experience trying Indian food and held off doing it again until I was told to try Ashiana as it is so highly rated and I live right down the street. Im glad I did! We went for the lunch buffet on a Saturday afternoon so that we could try out a huge variety of food and it was all great. We washed it all down with some delicious mango lassi. Will definitely be returning!
