Just solid professionalism on our older GE Dryer. Great price and technician stuck to it, even after a bit of a challenge where he will have to come back. He told me that there would be no charge and he wouldnt budge off of that. Even better, a young man was with the technician as an apprentice! Anyone who reads this should look around at your kids and wonder if an $80k to $200k(+) education in Poetry, or whatever Liberal Arts degree they choose, is really worth it. Love the concept.

Ive changed my 5 star review to 1. They were prompt with great service my first visit but now its impossible to get someone to call you back. Had them do work on my dryer. It worked for one week before something fell off and now it makes a rattling noise. Called repeatedly to have someone come back out on a warranty call. Ive now called someone else that a friend recommend. Very unhappy with their customer service and work quality.

Great performance friendly quick Reliable work

I called and asked for same day service. I forgot the name of the lady that helped me but she was super nice. She mentioned a tech, Michael would b by between 12-3pm. The technician came right at 1245ish and repaired my dryer in 15 minutes!!! Explained what was wrong, how he fixed it and what I was probably doing wrong to cause the issue I did. He replaced my thermo fuse and I paid 125$. Im not sure if this was after the service call fee was deducted. I forgot to ask as I was so happy the technician finished so quickly.Either way Ill def b calling this company for any other appliance repair I ever need. Def recommend 10/10

When washing machine quit working on Saturday afternoon, a call was made to Frank who came out on Monday to perform diagnostics to determine the problem. He was very professional and honest about the repairs saying that if he could even get the part for a 13 year old machine, he felt it would be too much money to spend on that old of a machine. I really appreciated his honesty even though it cost him a repair job. I would not hesitate to call again if another appliance has problems.

This business is outstanding. The technician came out to help fix a motor on my new oven and knew exactly what was wrong as soon as he took a look. He ordered the part and finished the repair few days later. Extremely satisfied customer here, keep up the good work!

Called on Tues for service on dryer. Was tOLD Frank would be there between 2 & 5. I called back at 4 & they said Frank was running late & rescheduled for Wed. 2 - 5.Frank called said running late but diagnosed over phone. He would get price on part& call back. Finally called them back on Thursday since never got a return call from Frank. The phone operator called back with a price but I had already scheduled another s re vice by then I have since deleted them from my phone

I would rate this companys service if I ever was able to get service. I requested service through their online service request form which stated I would be contacted soon. I never was. So then I called the following day to make an appointment by phone. I spoke to Frank and he said he would come out on Friday between 12-3 pm and would call 30 minutes prior. So, since I work, I had to take the day off in order to be home for the repair. When it became almost 3:00pm, I called to see when he was coming. The woman who answered the phone acted like she knew nothing of the appointment and would call me back. She called back 35 minutes later and said unfortunately no one would be coming out. They also could not schedule anything over the weekend. Fortunately for me, I called another company that was extremely responsive, came out the next morning and diagnosed the problem. It doesnt appear this company cares too much about customer service. If someone would have at least contacted me, I would not have had to take off work and could have scheduled another company sooner.

I called for repairs to my Samsung refrigerator. The cooling element froze and my fan was making a loud noise. Danny came out and did a great job. Unfortunately my fridge was beyond repair, Danny tried 3 times to make it right but this Samsung was a hunk of junk. I ended up buying a new GE fridge but would definitely recommend them if you need a repair. Very nice, honest, dependable and affordable. (4 stars only because my fridge didn’t actually get fixed, NOT their fault)

Very impressed with the service from Houston Katy Appliance Repair. When my 15 year old Maytag washing machine started making loud noises and not moving through it’s cycles, I called Houston Katy Appliance Repair and they sent Alex right out. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and order the part. Given the age of the machine it took awhile to find the part, however Alex was diligent and kept me updated on the status. Once the part arrived Alex quickly contacted me and came right out for installation. Great service, reasonable prices. I will use them again and highly recommend.

When our dryer stopped heating, we called Frank to set up an appointment for him to come and evaluate the problem. He was able to quickly identify the issue and had it fixed within an hour or so. Their branch Dannys Appliance Repair outfit came out and fixed my Dryer which was not heating. The younger repair guy Alex was very nice and real fast doing my repairs. He had to get the heating unit box part the next am ok and then came right out to install. All was very fast and great service and Ill be using them again for my home appliance repairs.

Hooray!!! A business that will actually call you back AND show up as Scheduled to repair your major appliance... Frank & his team tracked down the Replacement Part for the Main electronic circuit board on our Decade old electric dryer, and were able to ship in the electronics from out of town, Then installed, serviced, returned our old circuit board (required by the manufacturer), and had our Dryer back up & running as Brand New (restored) with in just a couple of days! The service was great. He was very knowledgeable and honest. My washer and dryer werent installed properly and he figured the problem immediately. He tested my appliances to make sure they were working properly before he left. The technician was very professional and his fees were very reasonable. Overall very happy. We called this company to change the washer door from a left hinge to a right hinge. GE told use that because it was an install issue from Lowes not a repair issue they could not send out a tech, but the door could be changed. I spoke with the technician at Houston Katy Appliance, he was willing to look at it and his price to change the door was appropriate. He would also look at the shaking issue and the pedistal drawer issue.We had issues with Lowes over a Samsung washer and dryer. Their techs ARE NOT TRAINED VERY WELL. When Lowes tech delivered the GE that was an exchange for the Samsung they told us the doors were not changeable even though the GE website said so and owners manual tells how to do it.The Houston Katy Appliance technician was VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, honest with us about the model we chose (its a SAMSUNG with a GE label)

Called for refrigerator fan and washer/dryer repair on Monday 1/20/20. Spoke with Frank and scheduled for Wednesday 1/22/20 between 11 am - 2 pm.No show. No return call. Finally got Frank on the phone, and he started asking about the address but I had to cut him off short since I had another appointment.Being a busy person it’s highly inconvenient when I block out 3 hours out of my day for a no show.No apology, just a curt “you bet”.Very disappointed.

In two repair calls, I have had three appliances fixed by Houston Katy Appliance Repair. They include fixing our clothes dryer (today), freezer, and refrigerator. Each time the person who did the repairs arrived within the agreed timeframe, and they had the knowledge and parts to make the repairs. Frank usually asks for the make and model number of the appliance before they come out, and this increases the likelihood that they will have the right part with them. I have had bad experiences with two other repair companies, and I am glad that I have found Houston Katy Appliance Repair as the much better alternative.

I was somewhat skeptical when i phoned as the Receptionist said that she will have the Technician call me to discuss what needs to be done... and sure thing the Technician phoned and asked me detailed questions after i explain my washing machine seal parts exchange / service dilemma.We scheduled appointment and Technician arrived within the 1 hour window we discussed, exchange my part, tested the washer and then educated me on how to preserve my washing machine life time with regular cleaning etc. Although my washer part was about 35% more expensive than online parts store i never used it was well worth it. Less than two days before Thanksgiving is the worst time for an oven to break down. Frank was very helpful in setting up a time for me to be home for the repairman to come with a two hour window at MY convenience, not theirs. As scheduled a young man named Alex came at the correct time, fixed my chilled water dispenser and was gone literally within thirty minutes. What a happy ending to an annoying problem and having to mop up water due to a stuck switch.

Good communication with customer, on time, fast service on a Sunday. Unfortunately after a 10-minute diagnostic of our dryer, the technician needed to order a that a new main PCB, only to find out later that the part is no longer available as LG no longer supports the older Tromm gas dryer series.

My washer went out, have been getting a unbalanced code on a Samsung. I know what I needed to fix it and the only place I could get it on a Sunday was from here. An online appliance part had them but was 2 days out and the other other in town place only had 2 of the four I needed and was not open on Sunday.and the wife wanted to get the clothes done! Called Katy appliance spoke to Frank, he was knowledgeable and knew exactly what was going on with my washer. I gave him the part number of what I needed and verified it was correct. Now this is a appliance repair company and didn’t have to sell only the part without the service call and labor...but he did just sell the parts I needed, I installed them and to my surprise I fixed it!! Now when I have a complicated repair that needs to be done I will most definitely call this place!!!

Five Star Service!!!! Frank from Houston Katy Appliance Repair is our appliance repair man for life! We had a really BAD experience with another company on a dryer repair. I was out $253 with a broken dryer and the other company would not call me back even though they said the work had a 90 day warranty. I didnt get a 30 minute warranty! I called Frank, he came out the same day and was extremely detailed. He was honest and worked with us to determine what the root cause of the problem was. Repaired the dryer and really went the extra mile for us.

The appointment to fix a Samsung dryer was from 10:00am to 1:00pm, and we finally received the service at 3:30, things happens, that is fine, but the total $200.00, 20 min labor and parts charges seems excessive for a pulley assembly that cost $9.87, next day in amazon prime.

The owner seems to be a nice person and repaired my gas dryer. Unfortunately, the same gas leak appeared just two (2) weeks after repair. I have called Frank Welch several times and he has ignored my request to check the dryer at my home. Spent $189 and the dryer is still not working properly.
