My husband and I moved into the Ascent in 2018 and our selling point was the location and the concierge support especially since we travel a lot. It’s truly felt like home and have met some really great people (Hi Mike!). The level of support from the concierge has decreased as the number of staff has been reduced but it’s still a great place to live with so much to do within walking distance!

That pool is gorgeous at night, and would make a great scene for a 🥳 party..

I have been living at The Ascent since May 2015. I love the location, the fast maintenance service and how well the overall property is maintained. I have no plans to move anytime soon.

I have lived here five years -- team Fairfield is great. Responsive to my maintenance requests and 24/7 help. Dog park is well kept and nice for when I dont feel like a walk. Safety inside the building is EXCELLENT. Downstairs parking could be tightened due to recent break ins under prior management. I love it -- its home. Great management team.

Pet Owners Beware! The wood veneer floors are poor quality that scratch very easily. When we left they charged us $1900. I offered $845 (market rate for sqft) to be fair and they declined. All this even after paying over $3000 to break our lease 4 months early to buy a home.

Many times I have addressed issues of disturbance from the neighbors on the top floor to the management. Disturbances has been increased and nothing has changed. It doesn’t feel like living in a luxury apartment. More feels like in a student community. Moreover, few cockroaches were noticed in our apartment. This issue has not been addressed yet.Few days later received phone call from management team who took care of this situation. Yet, everything worked out to our advantage and we are happy with support. Thanks for that.

Management doesn’t do anything at all. It used to be a good place to live but since the new management took over months ago, it started going downhill.

An update on my below original review:I have changed my rating from 5 to 1 star. We moved out of Ascent in early June 2020 and while everyone was very nice and helpful during our time living there and during the move out, we were subjected to a mismanagement of our move out which found us having been sent to a collection agency.Suffice to say that we were never told of a late charge even after having our deposit returned to us. We paid the charges to ensure no impact on our credit report. However, it was very unfortunate the management team didnt manage this issue with us more professionally and with greater attention.Original Review: Great new management team!!! Rachel, Amber, Loretta of Leasing Office and Richard of Maintenance are all so helpful and easy to work with. They followed up on our requests. They are all very accommodating and experienced. Freight elevator was fixed promptly (during the holiday period) and it works during our move in the first week of January. A big thank you!!!

This is a significant update from my prior review.Management has since changed and is fantastic! Much more responsive and very willing to work with its residents to accommodate a variety of needs.We’ve had a fantastic experience working with Rachel and Tristan in the leasing office.The location is fantastic and the property is being maintained well. Although the appliances are showing signs of age and use, management has been able to provide us with new equipment as needed.There are still some quirks with package delivery some of which are outside of management control. In particular it appears that the post office has the address to the complex as something different which throws off many delivery services. This is probably our only issue with living here but certainly does not derail from our fantastic experience any more!

I spent 3 years renting a 2 Br in Ascend. The unpleasant surprise was after I left: the Ascend rep at our inspection gave us a clean chit but they later presented us suspect photos (not taken in our presence) and are trying to collect a $250 cleaning fee although the apt was left in excellent condition. Despite repeated requests to speak to mgmt no one really seems to have the gumption to deal with their in house exit people who are v aggressive.

Ascent is a great place to live. I have lived here for over a year now, and I have had a great experience. Its in a great and safe location. They have free breakfast every Saturday, which is nice! There are so many stores and restaurants in vicinity, and it is close to one of the best and biggest HEBs in the city. Everyone is so nice including the front office. The tenants are all very considerate, and make up mostly of young families and working professionals. The units have great design features (mine has a desk which I love). Its been such a great place live!

Ascent used to be a great place to live. Since Brittany (former property manager of Ascent) left there is absolutely no regard for residents from the management. The main elevator was down for almost few months with no resolution. The side elevator next to the dog park was out for more than 3 weeks. Only thing we now receive are regular warnings from the management about resident behavior. My wife and I have been living there since past 2.5 years and this is the first time we feel completely disconnected from the ascent management. I recommend the management to be more “involved” with the community in addition to sending periodic emails about following rules.

Huge decline with recent management change!!! I moved in back in June of 2018, the old staff was phenomenal and so friendly, the building was always kept up with and maintenance was excellent! HOWEVER somewhere around April of 2019 the entire office staff left, and were replaced by a new group of workers that are absolutely terrible. They are unorganized, and have terrible communication skills! Something as simple as picking up a package from the office is now a huge hassle due to poor organization and lack of professionalism from the office staff. Couldn’t be happier about purchasing a home earlier than planned, and getting to break my lease early.

Ascent at CityCentre is a great place to call home. The amenities are top notch and the staff is amazing!! I am proud to call Ascent home and look forward to many more wonderful days and nights here.

Property is a gem. Quiet Location tucked away in City Centre. Staff was great to work with and made the move in process a breeze. Highly recommend this property

We lived in ascent for 7 months. The most unacceptable thing is the final bill they sent to us. They charged us $530 only to replace the stove top with only several scratches. We have rent a lot of properties before and have never been charged for such fee. I saw similar review and compliant for the same issue. I will never come back to this property and will not recommend it.

I have lived at Acent for 12 months.Pros: nice upscale residents, small community, pool area is great, nice gym, management is really good, quite place, nice apt finish out, great location (everything you need is really close.)Its really a great find for Apt living in Houston!

Beautiful, luxurious apartments! Great place to live!

I live next door to this apartment complex. The fire alarm in their garage goes off all the time and might continue on for lengths on end. Once it happened in the middle of the night and went on blaring for at least an hour. It is very disturbing and apparently no one who operates this complex cares because it has been occurring for months.

The appearance is not bad, but you can hear not only the sound of drainage, but also the sound of the next door and the footsteps of the upper floors in the wooden construction. Rent will be relatively cheap, but you should be aware that there are good reasons. Other than that, I have no complaints!
