We spent one day on The Current Lady, captained by Cory with Shannon as a deck hand, and had a great time. We fished halibut, rock fish, and king salmon, and were successful on all 3. But that isnt why Im writing the review. The best part was Cory and Shannon. They were knowledgeable, friendly, easy to talk to professional, and busted their butts. They worked hard to show us proper technique, and share knowledge of the area. The only thing that could have made the trip better is if we booked two days with them instead of one. If you are in Homer, and have a chance to go with this crew, by all means, book it! You wont regret it.

Just finished two days of fishing with DeepStrike on the Current Lady. Captain David and Deckhand Shannon “the cannon” were knowledgeable, skilled, and hilarious. The seven of us are going home with 500+ lbs of fish for our efforts after hauling in monster (70+ lb) halibut, pink salmon, king salmon, ling cod, pacific cod and other fish kept for bait. So much fun. And the Current Lady is one of the fastest and most comfortable fishing boats I’ve ever been on. Can’t wait to come back next year!

Booked a fishing trip on the Irish Mist with my 12 year old son Milo. Wow!! What a great experience from start to finish. Captain Chelsea and Deck Boss Emily were awesome! The ship was super clean, especially the restroom. The cabin was heated and comfortable. We were fortunate to share the trip with a group of friends who had been fishing together for years. It made for a very entertaining trip, with great conversations and stories. We were out for about 10 hours and the time flew by. We hit our limit on halibut and salmon, and Milo almost nabbed an octopus!! To top it all off, we saw humpback whales and an orca pod (one even breached). I highly recommend the Irish Mist. This was far and away the best fishing trip weve taken. Chelsea and Emily were super competent, knowledgeable, and friendly. We will definitely be back!

From start to finish captain Dave and Shannon were absolute pros. The Current Lady was a clean and awesome vessel to fish for halibut and rockfish. We fished several spots and our group of ten limited out on both species with an added bonus of seeing a couple pods of hump back whales, sea otters and sea lions. This guide service is very organized and will put you on the fish so you can have a great time!!!

My wife said fishing on the Irish Mist with Captain Chelsea and Deck Boss Emily was the best of our 9 days in Alaska!!! That says it all. Even on a rough weather day they were awesome making sure everyone caught their limit. We loved it!

One of the best fishing trips Ive been on. Professional staff, incredible captain, and lots of fish! They KNOW what they are doing. My dad and I were fishing for less than 5 minutes and we both caught 60 + pound halibut! We also caught our limit of rockfish and my limit of kings! Great experience all around. Thank you so much!

Went out 6/8/2021 on the Irish Mist, water was a little rough and other boats decided not to go out. Too bad for them. We had a group of seven people, came back with 13 Halibut and 5 Cod. Chelsea and Emily were awesome, highly recommend going out with this company and this crew.

My husband and I went on a charter with Corey and Shannon on the “Current Lady”. They were both very professional, efficient and worked well as a team. They went above and beyond to help us reel in 1 massive halibut and 3 king salmon between the 2 of us. That’s 34 LBs of fillets we shipped back home!! Since it was so late in the season for halibut, we had to trek a while to locate them and man was it wet and cold, but totally worth it! The second King Salmon spot was much calmer weather and a beautiful mountain side bay setting. I even saw a whale! It was truly an epic Alaskan fishing experience!!

Captain Chelsea and 1st mate Emily were so fantastic! If they gave us a google rating it’d be a 1 🤣. We got there late, and 4 of 6 of us started puking over the side after only 2 fish were caught. We got so sick my husband had to ask Chelsea to bring us in early. They were very helpful and understanding. After their boss found out he only charged us 1/2 a day instead a full day-we were not expecting this or asking for it, it was really kind of them. They knew where the fish were and are very skilled.

Simply outstanding boat and service. The crew is extremely polite, courteous, intelligent, and civilized. They are not the usual quirky or totally socially awkward types that often run these trips, though, I include myself in this later group. This is a great package for a family. We had the trip of a lifetime.

The trip was great and the young ladies did an excellent job getting us on the fish and making sure everyone knew how to catch them. They also made sure everyone got their limit on halibut. It was a great trip and I would definitely go out with them again.

Paid for barn doors and big lings; caught chickens. Waste of time and money, we could have got on any tourist boat and paid way less to do the same thing.

Our family of seven had a great time with Chelsea and Emily fishing aboard the Irish Mist. We were first timers ocean fishing and Chelsea and Emily were fantastic. We caught our limit of Halibut and the waves were too high to travel to the best bottom fishing so they took us Salmon fishing instead. We had a successful trip and Chelsea and Emily could not have been more accommodating, polite, helpful, and pleasant. I would recommend them to everyone. Thank you Chelsea and Emily for a great trip and a unforgettable memory for our family. You two are the best!
