I had called TU Automotive on a Friday afternoon hoping that I would be able to have my car towed there to be worked on the following week. I believed that my cars alternator stopped performing which caused it to stop running and was on the side of the road. The following Monday afternoon they were already in communication with me and determined that yes the problem was the alternator. TU Automotive was so gracious to have let me have it towed there on a Friday afternoon. They were in communication throughout the process of getting everything fixed, which I liked. I highly recommend TU Automotive, I will be using their services in the future for all my automotive needs! Thank you TU for such quality service!

Dillon and the rest of the crew are amazing! They took my car in right before closing and took the time to talk with me. They had my car done the next day and went above and beyond what I expected. I can’t recommend them enough. They can do any type of automotive work and are very reasonably priced. If you need your car, truck, suv, van anything. GO see them! TU has been a great shop to take my vehicles too. Dillon is a very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional mechanic. His team does quality work and he has worked on my minivan and my campervan. Ive been going to TU for over three years with two different vehicles. The first being my lifted over land style wrangler. The second being my Cts-v. No matter what upgrade I have in mind the folks at this shop can always get it done! This is my go to shop in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area. They are great for everything from regularly scheduled maintenance to large fixes. They replaced the rear engine seal in my 2003 Chevy Avalanche and the blower motor in my 2007 Infinity. Today we are in getting a used car inspection that they were nice enough to squeeze us into the schedule last minute to have done prior to purchase. They take care of all their customers and I have never had a bad experience with them!

Great professional service! Highly recommend.I took my car to the JIFFY LUBE down the street and they connected my battery terminals backwards and blew my alternator. I brought my car to Transmissions Unlimited and they were attentive to my car. They also helped prove that Jiffy Lube was liable for the damage to my car and I got a nice big, fat check back from Jiffy Lube! Very very grateful! They were very communicative during the process and quick to respond. Very helpful and good customer service.

Every time I call TU, they prioritize getting me in as soon as possible (sometimes even on the same day!). Everyone at the shop is so welcoming and the shop dog Gracie keeps me company while they work on my car. They also conduct a full safety check every time, which I appreciate so much. I will be a customer for years to come!

I am impressed with this shops customer service and the handling of our situation.I am sharing this review in response to Codey Guerreiros review from a few days ago. We did take his truck in to see why it was burning oil and for a coolant leak. He purchased the truck used truck a few weeks earlier and I wanted to be sure it was in good running order for him. When I spoke to Dillon, I suggested a compression test to see if the engine needed to be replaced or just repaired due to the fact that it was burning oil like crazy. The mechanic did find a small oil leak and made repairs. When we picked up the truck a week later it was still running poorly so Codey did a compression test and it failed. I called Dillon and explained the situation, he asked for a video of the compression test being done and then requested we drop the truck off again so they could do their own testing. Prior to them doing their own testing they did refund me a portion of what I had paid for the repairs that were completed. After they completed the compression testing I received a call from Dillon who advised that they would be refunding all of my money because if they would have compression tested it first no repairs would have been done because the engine needed to be replaced.I was totally shocked when I received the call that they would be refunding all of my money, in my past experiences, repair shops do not admit to making errors, and a full refund would not be given however this shop did it. I was impressed with their customer service and the handling of this situation.

I went to get the rattle coming from my heat shield repaired on a 2013 Subaru Legacy. This is a pretty common routine repair for a Subaru that spent most of its life until recently in the snowy northeastern United States. It is very common for the clamps to rust off of the heat shield, causing a rattle. They told me I had to replace the entire heat shield, top and bottom, quoting me for $1100. They said it was too far gone to be fixed due to the rust. I took it to another shop for a second opinion, they fixed it for less than $200. No mention of needing to replace the heat shield.Bottom line, nobody should trust these guys (and gals). I told them exactly what I knew my car needed, and they lied to my face. Stay away.

Hi i went to this place to replace my low beam light while they were closing and it was good experience that they have replaced my driver side low beam light for free with out any cost i will definitely recommend this place i understand it is a small work but it has done in pretty quick time with no charge thank you guys!

Fantastic business. I had a transmission issue with my car that other shops had told me would be over $3000 to replace my transmission. Came here and found that my issue was that the transmission needed a thorough service. Walked out paying a tenth of what the previous shop quoted and with a vehicle running just as well as when I bought it. They have definitely earned our households business.

Took my car in to have a compression test and find out why it was burning oil and leaking coolant when I received the truck a week later they charged me 1400$ to do a rear main seal and pan gasket well they didnt check compression to see if it was worth fixing or find a coolant leak or why it burns oil when I took it home and compression tested it it had a bad cylinder go figure so now Id like my money back they say send us a video of you doing the test and we will refund your money did that they then said they would only return half of our money unless we brought the car back in to be looked at which then it took them another day to check compression mind you I told them what cylinder it was and I did it my self in about 20 min so I highly do not recommend this company the kids that work there are all snobby and dont listen they do what they think is needed and well see how that turned out you cant fix stupid and thats their main thing around there

This automotive establishment is an absolutely amazing place to take your vehicle to be repaired. The customer service is A+++, completely outstanding. I have been to several mechanics in Oregon, Washington, and Arizona, and Transmission Unlimited is by far the best automotive service I have had. Everyone who works here is incredibly kind and attentive to their customers needs and concerns. Out of all of the mechanics Ive been to, none possessed the heart and care these guys have. The manager saved me in a last minute situation when I came in 30 minutes to close, the following morning I needed to drive to Pendleton OR to get a new driver license (DMV availability in the Portland area is pretty much non existenct). My radiator had a bad leak, the manager was able to obtain a new radiator early in the morning and one of the mechanics installed it and also changed my oil, finishing just in time for me to use my Pathfinder to drive to my DMV appointment in Pendleton. I feel so bad that they went through all of the trouble to help me out so last minute. There are other kind services these guys provided me that I wont include (cant have every customer expecting the same deals), and I am eternally grateful!If anyone deserves your business, its this wonderful shop! If you do get your vehicle serviced at this shop, please tip these guys, they absolutely deserve it!!!! 😁P. S. Dylan is one awesomely amazing guy and has been very helpful and courteous. We had a great experience at this shop! We needed a car inspected immediately. Called Transmissions Unlimited. Right in the middle of the day. No problem. They told us to come on by. So, we did. Warmly greeted, they took the keys and got started. We went to get some lunch. They called when it was done. They provided us with a detailed report of the condition and things that the car would be needing. It included pricing. Perfect. When we went to pay, we were thrilled that their price was extremely reasonable & less than other places! Also, when we contacted them with a question the next day, they took care of it right away. Excellent customer service and communication. We highly recommend this shop.

Very helpful. My transmission on my truck started having issues late on a Friday the day after Thanksgiving, NOT FUN! They happened to be open on a Saturday and told me just stop by when I got a chance and they would diagnose the issue. They quickly diagnosed my issue to a bad transmission. They were able to get me a new transmission, with a great warranty, delivered and installed by the following Friday. They were open to answering all of my questions. Nobody ever wants to go through having major transmissions issue on their vehicle but if you ever find yourself in that position I would recommend that you give these guys a shot. Very happy with the experience.

I am new in town and drive a large vehicle. I always try to find a mechanic who can handle the weight of a conversion van and the height of her. I lucked out when I chose this business. They took really good care of my van and showed me the issues that were caused by an old mechanic in another state. They are also highly communicative and helped me when I showed them how to level and turn on my fridge inside my van. Stellar. Their work is warranted for 2 years which makes them so worth it. Went in recently to T.U to get 3 lighting sensors checked out. Had gone to the Toyota dealership prior to T.U and told me they would charge me $100 to run a diagnostic to see if the sensors were still good or not. Spoke to one of the team members at T.U and he was able to do it for FREE! He told me exactly which sensors were still good. Turned out only two had to get switched out and the other one recalibrated. Was in and out within a few hrs. Im completely satisfied and great customer service!

They were able to fit me in with no problem after my clutch went out on me. Been going here for years. Super convenient at a great price.

Here’s the short version, they are a family run business with great mechanics and even better people. Don’t let the name fool you they can do way more than just transmissions. I have taken my old junker in a handful of times and every time they have been excellent.Long version: they are honest people and I have always felt they have been more than fair. They don’t subscribe to the “good enough” mentality but instead take the time and effort to do the job right. I had them change an old muffler once and although they were not aware, I saw them look at the newly installed muffler and felt unsatisfied with the job and instead fastened new bolts throughout replacing the other ones to achieve a better fit (at no extra cost to me for the extra parts and time). It could have been easy to think good enough and it probably would have been fine but they went the extra step and I think that speaks volumes. I have other examples of them going above and beyond “the job” but I will simply leave it at, they are good people doing great work the right way.

I have been having trouble with my car and there are a few little qwearks with it and I have found that taking it onto a shop the guys always give me this look as if Im stupid, these guys did not! They were super helpful and respectful and gave me honest answers. And I appreciate that. I will definitely give them any car related business that I may have in the future. I am from eastern Oregon, Im here working and I was afraid to even have my car looked at by someone while here, now I am so glad I did. Dillon was very nice. We went in about an hour before closing but they were able to fix my issues with brake and tire pressure monitoring system. We walked out within an hour with all the problems resolved. Whenever I go to a mechanic, I feel like I get ripped off but this was the only place I didn’t have such feeling. Brought my Jeep in because it would not shift and the problem was intermittent. We fought it for 3 months! We recently replaced the Slave and Master Cylinder hoping that was the issue but it was not. Dillon and Joe took a look and found the pressure plate was not torked down and one of the bolts was loose inside! Simple fix, good service, and a decent price. I highly recommend this shop!

Long story short, my entire engine needed to be replaced. The guys at transmissions contacted my insurance company and got a brand new engine sent out for my car without me having to do any of the work involved in dealing with insurance companies (can be really annoying). In what would normally be a 3 day minimum job to finish, the guys at transmissions unlimited got it done the day they received my engine. They may have had to work some extra hours that day, but they got it done and I was able to pick up my car that day. Car is running great.

I came in 10 min before they closed the shop and told Joe Garcia about a burning smell in the car and he was so friendly to take a quick look underneath my car. It took him literally 30 seconds to figure out the problem. A partially burned flashlight that the mechanic at Sears Automotive (Washington Square Mall) who changed my transmission fluid left there.And that even a second and third visit at Sears Automotive and 4 different mechanics including their head mechanic failed to discover.Thank you, Transmission Unlimited!

I went in to get two new tires. I told Dillion I would be in at 9 came in a bit late, but he was still able to get it done for me. In and out less than 30 mins with great pricing. Dillion had noticed my right rear tire moved when he touched it. I went home to further inspect thinking it was a wheel bearing that was replaced less than a year ago, but to find out the CV nut was just coming loose. If Dillion had not noticed this on my rear tire it could have been a bad situation. I would definitely recommend this shop for your repairs.

I just got off the phone with someone (I wish I had caught his name) at Transmissions Unlimited and he gave me some great advice about my car and what I should do next. I had called another mechanic about the same issue and they were telling me to bring it in and that it would cost anywhere from $1200 to $3000! He didnt pressure me to bring it in or anything, just advised me and gave me a very low-cost solution I can do myself. No pressure, very laid back and knowledgeable! When I do bring my car in to get it fixed up, I know where Im going! Will recommend to friends and family, as they were recommended to me!

Took my 2009 Honda Insight in to have the cracked A/C cracked evaporator replaced (required removal of much of the front dash). Work done well and timely, has blown cold air ever since and the cost was substantially less than the dealership mark-up for the same work.
