Erick Heaton came highly recommended and my husband and I went all in hoping that our truck that we love would be repaired, cared for, and at a price that we could afford. From start to finish my husband and I are amazed—grateful for the superb work and communications at the shop.Our story is this: The truck wouldn’t start, and to be honest, we didn’t have it properly looked at when we purchased it last year. Erick responded to our call right away and had our truck in the shop by early the next morning. Our tow truck driver told us “this is the best shop around because I tow here often and there’s always a lot full of cars!” By that afternoon Erick told us what needed to be done and we asked if they could take a closer look around for any other troubled areas. Erick was honest for what needed to be done right away and what could be adjusted and modified later in the future. Again, the shop communicated with us via text through the time our truck was at the shop. Never a problem getting a hold of Erick and having questions and/or concern addressed and answered.The truck now drives better than ever. We can tell that Erick and his crew love their job and are masters at their craft—real Gearheads. Beyond grateful for the high level of workmanship, communication and honesty throughout with a super fair price!

Heaton Automotive has been where I would go for repairs for years, no problem. Professional and cost effective, I would recommend this business to anyone looking for a no-swindle type auto repair shop. I have NEVER had ANY problems.Having said that, my last visit will be, well, my last visit. Not only did the mechanic that looked at my van misdiagnose it and seemed more interested in appearing cool, he wasnt wearing a mask. I am a diabetic and my wife has had pneumonia a couple of times over the years, so we have to be especially careful these days.When I informed Mr. Heaton by text about this, I received no answers at all. After waiting a week, I texted him again. He answered, then when I brought up the mask issue, I was again ignored. I saved the texts.Bottom line: If you are into anti-masking, (-and I am assuming Trump support) and other reprehensibly dangerous practices, continue to go to Heaton Automotive. I am sure that there are plenty of Oregonians who agree with that stance, so Im sure his business will still be successful. In the meantime, Im going to Clays Auto. At least they care enough about their customers to take the proper precautions to help them stay alive.I have to say, ghosting people on text who are trying to stay healthy is beyond immature and not how professionals treat customers. At least stand up for your ridiculous beliefs.

Dropped my 2016 Murano off to have them inspect some issues that were brought up by a dealership. Was told by the dealership that my transfer case was leaking profusely and needed attention along with many other items, namely that both brakes needed replacing. Not only did they inspect, clean, and give me the real story. He didnt even charge me for the inspection! Come to find out that the front brakes do need replacing (as I have 60k+ miles) but that can be done later, but the rear have over 10k miles left, which I knew they had to be okay as I replaced them just last year. Also that the leak was very minor and not in fact of concern yet, in fact it looked like it had been leaking for awhile. Coincidentally, I just went past my 60k warranty expiration....how convenient that they just then found it at Carr. I will definitely be bringing back my car and any future cars to see Eric and his team. Thank you for giving me at least some options and not trying to force me into unnecessary work. Ive been looking for a mechanic I can trust as dealerships have a bad reputation for pushing you into work when maybe it could be put off, and my experiences have nothing to dissuade that fact. All I want is the facts and options with their opinions, and Eric did that. Thank you.

Unfortunately the engine in my car died, but they were extremely fast with the diagnosis, straight up with prices and the fact it isnt worth repairing and overall made an extremely stressful situation less stressful. They even gave me a little bit of cash for scrap value, and had some decent offers to buy! Quite a drive compared to some other shops near my home/work but the extra drive is worth the service and I would strongly recommend to anyone who appreciates a no bs approach!

They do quick and honest work. I try to do most of my work myself but some things us garage mechanics just arent qualified for. Eric always does the work thoroughly and quickly. I had a car where the heater stopped blowing warm air for weeks, and I couldnt figure out why. Figuring it might be a computer issue I took it in and it just happened to start working that morning, he called me and said Uh, it works for me, come take it away! Ive been to mechanics who would have done nothing then charged me. Hes honest, thorough and the prices are fair, plus very conveniently located!

Our starter went out at Costco gas pump. Guy in back of us gave us the name & number of Heaton Automotive to call. This was at 11:30 AM. They gave us a ride home, had car towed, put in new starter, came & picked us up in our car to go back to garage to pay. We were home before 2:30 PM. Any further mechanical work we need, we will definitely use them. They put the customer first and we feel the price was fair.

Highly recommend them! Its rare to find a mechanic who is honest, has your car done when they estimated it to be, and has good customer service! They also offered us a loaner car while ours was in their shop.. free. Very fair pricing as well. Very glad to have found them!!

My girlfriend referred me to Eric and his team a few years ago and since then hes been my go-to: altogether helpful in diagnosing issues, responsive to questions/concerns, honest on what repairs need addressing and what ones can wait, quick to get to work, and very competitive in pricing without compromising in quality in work.Their handiwork is fantastic and even better than theyll admit: Eric estimated that my junker car would continue to drive for another 2-3 months after a severe oil leak and repair; 2.5 YEARS later its going strong with no leaks or related issues. Im convinced that this was 10% luck, 10% Hyundai Elantra, and 80% Eric/Jason.Heaton Automotive is the proverbial family mechanic in an area where thats hard to come by. I cant recommend them enough.

If you need your car looked at and fixed good luck on getting a hold of anyone there! Called and text several times goes to voicemail and i get a text saying Ill call you right back and never happens.

So I have a 2002 Camry.My brake felt very loose and I first took it to Firestone, they quoted me some 1000, saying I have a leak in rear left, need to replace both calipers, both rotors and etc. They also wanted me to spend 1200 on rack and pinion and such so I refused.When I went to Les Schwab, they told me similar thing, but added on to it, saying Master cylinder is bad, brakes hose needs replacement, front calipers also need to change, quote 1500.When I took the car to Eric, I only had one loose nut. He tightened it, because of my insistence, he checked brake system a couple of times, and all this for 40 bucks. Saved me a grand and half.And most importantly, I had foolishly told him the quotes I had from others, and he didnt take advantage of situation.Very honest business.I will always take my car him and would definitely recommend him.

Let me start by saying that Im quite pleased and impressed with my experience at Heaton automotive. Eric told me to bring my car in first thing in the morning and well figure out whats going on and call you. Turns out that my issue was a bad ignition coil. That part was replaced, plugs and wires were replaced and I also received a coolant flush as well. All of this for a fair and reasonable price. The other shop in Tigard where I live, told me that I had a bunch of issues that would cost me well over 400 bucks to repair. Thankfully I decided to take my car to Heaton for a second opinion. Eric was straight forward and honest with me. I highly recommend his shop to anyone who needs car repairs. I certainly will be making Heaton automotive the place where I have my car maintenanced or repaired from now on.

OMG! Friends recommended Erics shop and I was so impressed. My girlfriend was having car problems, after a few phone calls we were on our way to Erics. My girlfriend test drove the car, got DMV taken care of, did all the paperwork and was driving away in a great car in less than 2 hours. It was the best car buying experience of my life.

Took my Honda Odyssey to him with an issue and he determined the throttle body needed to be cleaned and did not charge me a penny. Also, this was my first time at his shop. It is nice to see that all the reviews are correct. I will be back with any automotive needs.

I went there once to troubleshoot some noice coming from my car. They found that whole unibody was corroded and they can fix that. Eric and his team were very honest and told me the situation of my vehicle. They told me that they cant fix (they could but its not worth) and get rid of the car ASAP. Because it is dangerous to drive that. I appreciate that telling me the truth instead of trying to fix and ripping me off. They even didnt charge me. I highly recommend this place. Went one time, seems to be a good shop. My husbands best friend works there so its easy to trust them.

This place is great, back in December my truck puked an o-ring in the injector pump on my way to work, got it towed here since it couldnt go to my work. Since AAA wasnt towing out of town due to the weather, and I live in Washington, they were kind enough to let me park it in their lot for a week until I could get it towed, didnt charge me a dime for diagnosis or letting it sit there.

I have had two vehicles in multiple times because I tend to be pretty hard on them. Eric always ends up saving the day and getting me back on the road asap. Second time going to Heaton Automotive, so I had Erics number and texted him to see if he had time to look at the breaks on my Honda Pilot. I needed them done by the end of the following day, they looked at the brakes, called me with a reasonable price, and got the work done on schedule. I love their no BS approach. They will tell you what is the best for you, I especially liked how they were completely honest about the repairs to my vehicle. They had the opportunity to completely overhaul a vehicle for me, which most shops would have urged me to get a bunch of repairs done to the vehicle at a huge cost, Eric Heaton said that the cost of repairs was more than what the vehicle was worth.Also I took my car to Les Schwab and the quoted me a bunch of stuff as necessary and Eric Heaton not only did the work, but a a better cost. I would recommend this mechanic shop to anyone.You will get a clear and honest answer and done in a timely manner.
