Overall Good Experience. Great service, the car has been in excellent running condition for over a year now, and we are pleased with the sales process. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is we felt that the price was higher than the average market price for a higher mileage older Subaru.

I cant believe it has taken me so long to post a review!!!Finding a good mechanic is difficult, and finding an honest mechanic is even harder. I found both in this shop. The owner, John, is always looking out for his customers by helping you make the right choices for your vehicle (or helping you save a dollar wherever you can).I had an ongoing issue that apparently Subaru would fix for me (I had no idea), even though I was well outside of warranty. He informed me of this and told me which dealerships to go to and how to approach the problem to make sure I got it fixed. In the end I got my entire short block replaced *for free*. If I hadnt gotten this huge replacement for free it would have meant a lot more work I would have had to go to Accolate Auto to get completed. I dont know what better testimonial I could write than that he is such a good and honest person that he does the right thing at the expense of possible future revenue.10/10 would absolutely recommend.Side note: All staff is extremely kind and welcoming as well.

Short version:I had a great experience buying at Accolade Auto and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality used Subaru.Long Version:I was on Craigslist looking at Foresters and Outbacks about 10 years old. I wanted one that had already had the head gasket replaced and was up to date with timing belts, etc. When I found a Forester at Accolade I was immediately impressed by all the work they had done getting it ready for sale. They did the head gaskets with better than OEM replacements, and also the clutch and timing belt. In addition, they replaced just about every other seal you can get to with the engine out. Thermostat, spark plugs, the whole shebang.The car ran great and had brand new all terrain tires, and Jon warranties all of the work that he has done for a year. Not the whole car, but I felt really confident in his inspection and didnt think he would leave something intentionally unfixed.After a nice test drive with John I put down a deposit immediately.Here is where the top notch service really started. After dealing with the bank I went back to pick up the car. It was the end of the day and so I left the shop just as they were closing. About 20 miles down the road the check engine light came on. I pulled the code and it was the catalytic converter. My first thought was that this was definitely not included in the warranty since he had never fixed it. Still, Jon seemed like a great guy so I called him the next morning to see if we could work something out. After I told him about the code and acknowledged that it technically wasnt under warranty he interrupted and said Thats not the kind of shop Im running. We scheduled and appointment and he replaced the catalytic converter free of charge.He was well within his rights to send me on my way, but he really believes in sending you out with a well tuned vehicle. I plan to get all of my future work done there.A word of advice... All of the vehicles they sell seem to be in great shape and they sell fast. The lot looks different from week to week. If you see one online Id go sooner rather than later and be ready to put down a deposit.

I purchased a 2010 Forester from here a couple months back. I had a great experience with Jon and the rest of the staff I dealt with and the car was in excellent shape, just as advertised. Because of all the maintenance that was performed to the car before I bought it ( new head gaskets, timing kit, water pump, etc..) I opted to wait to write a review until I had driven the car for a while. So far, this Subaru runs and drives like new. The motor is strong, the MPG is better than expected, doesn’t leak a drop of anything or make any noises you would normally expect from a car with 110k on it. In fact, Jon noticed a faint sound while I was test driving it that I didn’t hear and wouldn’t let it go until it was dealt with.If you’re looking for a used Subie and want to get the best bang for your buck, make sure to check their inventory. Their prices are fair and you won’t get a better running car anywhere else.

Have bought two Subarus from John. Great experiences both times. After my first car got totalled, he found a similar car for me to replace my first one with. I was specific in what I wanted, but he got it! Would definitely buy from him again and recommend it to anyone.

Jon from the get go was very attentive and understanding of my needs and wants. Not only did he help me get out of a leased Mazda but he was able to put me in a 2003 Subaru Forester for a decent price. There was a light that turned on after I drove home and he took care of it right away along with fixing my air conditioning a while later. They go over the top and provide real customer service rather than treating you as just another sale. Now, 2 years later I called to get some paperwork on my vehicle (which is still in tip top shape!) and he was more than willing to help me out. Great service, great people, and great experience!

I hadnt really done much maintenance on my 2009 Subaru Outback and the clutch went out at about 70K miles. Turns out it was the throwout bearing, my head gasket was shot, my timing belt was toast, my water pump was shot, etc. etc. etc. John found ways to bundle everything together that saved me a lot of $$$ compared to doing the projects individually. After googling prices of the various services I estimate that it would have easily cost twice as much if I would have done it at a dealership. John was very straightforward on what should be done, what had to be done, and what would have to be done in the future (and when). He gave me all the options, so I knew exactly what it would cost. I never felt like I was being upsold on anything, and as a result I had them do pretty much everything they recommended. After they got done with my car, it seems to now run even better than it did when it was brand new! Will definitely be going back next time my Outback needs maintenance, and would highly recommend Accolade Auto for any kind of Subaru service.
