The online order of Internet service was quick and easy on the website. NorthState met the time window for installation. They performed set up work the week prior to install in order to make sure the installation would go smoothly. The installer was very friendly and walked me through the entire process. Two men were out within 2 days to bury my cable. All in all a great experience and good reliable internet service.

Not 1, but 2 technicians arrived promptly at the scheduled time. I was told to allow up to 4 hours for the install. It barely took 1. Both guys explained everything and gave me tips for a better TV and Internet experience. Perfect in every way.

Kristi at North State thank you for answering all of the questions that I asked about my transferring of my services.I started out a little frustrated with the appointment time that I had between 10 am and 12 noon but North State came through as always very pleased with their services and even with transferring my services from one address to another.A big shout out to the worker Tim Baker he installed my services with such perfection in all my bedrooms and living room and he explained to me everything he was doing while doing it.Tim did my transfer installation in a timely manner.

Ive had NorthState for years, When Covid hit everyone was work from home, school from home at the time we were only getting 15mbps. I unfortunately had to switch. When they sent the email that fiber was coming I knew I was coming back. Customer service is great, the gentleman that did the install was professional and early. I had issues before switching back with consistent speeds but not anymore.

I finally got tired of getting ripped off with constant price increases by the cable company. I called North State for service and they did exactly what they said would and when they said they would with install. Install was great and so far signal is great two weeks in. 2.5 times the speed for the same price, on fiber instead of copper.

Antonio spent a good deal of time working on our property. Since we have an older house there had to be some brainstorming on the best way to install a line. Tim Baker is an amazing technician - kind, professional, courteous, loyal, and very knowledgeable. It’s apparent that he takes great pride in his company, that he truly enjoys what he does, and cares for the communities he services. I would highly recommend doing whatever you can to keep him as an employee; and if I may be so bold to say, even assisting him with his desire and dream of becoming an engineer with North State. There is gold in that young man!

Super easy to deal with, customer service is bar none, the techs are somehow nicer then the customer service department. Better speeds then at&t and spectrum only thing is you get what you pay for, but I’m willing to pay a few extra dollars for better customer service!

Excellent installation for Fiber internet. Tim Davis, the install technician was outstanding. Very knowledgeable, outstanding personality and extremely nice. The two cable installation guys were very nice and done a great job however I didn’t get their names. Highly recommend NorthState Fiber internet if it’s available in your area.

On Wednesday, James, in charge of Field Prep, called me two days before the installation date to get relevant information about my home. I met him and the crew the following day, Tuesday, while they were prepping on site. All were courteous and ready to answer my questions.On Friday, Bryan arrived when he said he would, was professional, did high quality work and explained what he was doing when I asked.All this excellent customer service and NorthState’s prices were less expensive than their competition! I highly recommend NorthState Communications.

I can’t even compare NorthState to other internet providers because they stand head and shoulders above the rest. Nice and friendly, no issues ever in regards to billing, installation, or performance. I never lost the signal or had slow downs. They even processed my refund right away. Awesome service, being in IT for 25 years Im familiar with people who are just hired to come out and placate a customer, this WAS NOT the case... With the gentleman who came out he was very knowledgeable of the situation and getting internet inside my new home, I was not able to be present during the turn up, but I felt comfortable leaving the situation in his hands I came home hooked up my old wireless router, and was up and running immediately.. 5 Stars definitely

Technician was great. He went above and beyond to make the installation look neat and tidy. Only issue I had was chipping of the plaster wall when installing the fiber outlet in the bedroom. After doing some research this could have been avoided by using a different saw but not sure if it was available to him.

My service randomly went out yesterday morning and came back on and then went back out. Immediately opened a ticket with NorthState and was, and Im not kidding, given an answer of 2-3 days and no time frame. We work from home and this is unacceptable. I called Spectrum, which I hate doing, and they have a guaranteed 24 hour turn around on service tickets and comparable pricing with no contracts (minus the upload speed if that is important to you.. which bidirectional speed is only currently available with fiber and not coax). On top of this, they pushed through service rates to a higher price with no notifications in the past couple of weeks. I called and was told that the only way I would have known is if i logged into my account online and checked the terms..who does that? Do I care about $5? No. Am I a principal driven individual? Yes. So I downgraded. We have some serious logistical issues here. Ive always loved the internet and the reps from NorthState, but come on yall... This is not the NorthState Ive known and dealt with for so long.

Would have rated 5 stars if the price were a little lower and had they been able to install sooner. It took close to a full week because we are in a new area where fiber hasn’t been run. Jason, our tech, was fantastic and very personable. He was friendly and very sweet to my children. I felt completely comfortable with his presence in my home. Install was quick and painless. We’ve only used the service for a couple of days, but so far, we are happy with it.

Phoned in the problem and the repair man was there the next day. He phoned to let me know he was coming so I could put the dogs away, but he was so discreet they didnt notice him for a good 20 minutes, and even then they mostly ignired him. A miracle! He worked quickly and quietly and made sure the problem was fixed before he signed off on it. He was very pleasant and answered all my questions.

The technician showed up on time which shouldn’t be a big deal but this is the first time after many cable installations I’ve been through that the technician actually showed up on time- great job North State!

The absolute worst!! Prices keep going up every payment! Switching to spectrum!!! Every time it rains the internet has to be rebooted. This shouldnt happen with high prices customers pay. In the past we have used another internet provider. The set up took forever and was confusing. You don’t speak to a local person for anything. When I called North State to order my service I spoke with a local person immediately. She was kind, helpful and got my set up scheduled immediately, even providing the installer’s name. It was extremely simple to hook up to our internet and I am very pleased!

I cancelled the service same day due to incompetent team, unaware of what they are doing, made hole in the wall in my new home.Technician came to install new internet connection today. The house already had internal wiring and there is a wire / cable extending outside the house where they could hook up the internet wire from outside. Instead, the technician drilled a hole through the wall, and setup a new outlet. When questioned, technician misled me stating this is the best way to install. He was not ready to listen to me what I wanted to tell him. I even took him to my sister home, next door in the same culdesac showed him how it was done by other technician from the company. He then realized that he drilled the hole unnecessarily, however, do not want to admit the mistake. I insisted him to re do the installation, set it right. He then called supervisor. Supervisor, his name is “Jay”, he is much worse than the technician, he seemed like he do not even understand the language of it. However, I tried my best to make him understand, what happened. He said he will send another technician out to fix it, and asked me to schedule an appointment, calling the customer care. He promised me that there will be no charge. When, I called the customer care, he already reported what happened, and told them otherwise, to collect the charges. I argued that, it is technicians mistake, to not finding where the inlet was, where the cable was, instead the drill a hole unnecessarily. She was not ready to fix it. I told them to cancel the connection, without even trying to convince me, they just cancelled my connection. After waiting more than 15 days, I had to cancel the connection and wait for another 10 days to setup new connection with other company. Technician had no sense and he do not want to listen, he just want to move on to the next home/appointment. Jay the supervisor, showed his double standards. Poor customer service, they literally was showing so much frustration on phone both Supervisor and Customer care rep - Teresa.
