I had Underground Diesel do a head gasket, head stud, delete package on my 6.0 Powerstroke 50K miles ago for $4200. My truck is now in a different shop with a blown head gasket. I was invited to my current mechanics shop to see what had gone wrong. The heads have never been milled. I was charged for milling and was told it was performed. If you are unfamiliar with the head gasket process it requires milling the heads which makes them perfectly flat so they will squeeze the gasket uniformly. This did not happen. I have included a picture which reiterates the claim. The center two cylinders blew out due to normal warpage that was not corrected by milling.I will also caveat the claim that they will never answer the phone. My truck was there for almost a month before they started work on it. The only communication I had with them was when I went there and talked to them directly.

I see several posts on here giving these guys low marks for not returning calls - going out on a limb here but maybe thats because they are busy working on our vehicles? One could always do like I did...go down to the shop to check on things.I had zero issues with the work these guys did bomb proofing my 6.0 powerstroke. They charged me the exact amount they quoted me without any hidden fees and they delivered exactly on time without delays. They were patient with me and answered all my questions...even the ones I asked several times over because I didnt understand the answer. Mike that works behind the desk is great and very helpful...as is the other Mike in the shop who did a lot of electrical work for me including installing an alarm. And then a month later when the alarm was malfunctioning - he drove to my house on his lunch break to take a look at it (turns out, a brake controller issue was draining my batteries and the low batteries were causing the alarm to trigger...not a malfunction at all)...without charging me.I later had them install a tuner for me as well as fix the brake controller...both for a great price and both were done on time for the exact price I was quoted.I only met the owner once in passing but the two Mikes are fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone (Id evens end my own mother to them).By the way, three months later and my 6.0 is running perfectly. It had some performance issues when I dropped it with them and now its a champ and it tows my camper without any issues. Im taking it on a cross country this summer and Im not worried a bit about my 2004 having any issues.

Underground Diesel installed a Banks techno cooler, a 38 row transmission cooler, Banks tuner and a complete brake upgrade. All work was done in a professional manner and everything was explained in detail. I had to bring it back due to a factory supplied part problem and they took me right in and fixed it at no charge! All of my contact with the front desk and mechanics was excellent. Will definitely bring my truck back for additional work.

I have a 2007 Dodge 3500 4x4 Mega Cab. This shop has taken extremely good care of me as a customer. Im a middle aged female that is handicapped. Other shops have tried to take advantage of this, but not Underground Diesel.Ive had my truck there a couple of times for different issues and they have fixed them quickly and been very reasonable each time.I recommend this shop to everyone that own a diesel.

Great work on our truck. Explained everything in detail. Only reason not 5 stars is due to it taking a few more days plus a over weekend stay. The extra time was due to some rust and stuff making it a tougher job...but it cost more than the quote because of it. I wish they would lay out the additional costs when they notify you of the extra time needed.

I was very pleased with the service! Have had bad experiences with places trying to do more than you want or what is need. They did none of that! I love this place for diesel repairs! People are always willing to talk to you and even show you what they are doing. Love it!

I have gotten to know the owner, Newly. He is very involved in the shop and customers. He takes it personal to see his people are satisfied with the job done and does everything to make sure they are! Ive seen a lot of great changes happening recently. A good company that is getting even better.

I needed someone to install my turbo and T-4 kit on my truck, after some word of mouth I decided to give Underground Diesel a try. They responded quickly via email with an estimate of 6-7 hours, this sounded reasonable so I dropped my truck off on a Monday. Unfortunately there was some resistance during the install and it took over a week. The guys there are men of their word and stuck to the original quote even though it took much longer, the end result was a very clean install and a great running truck. I would recommend them for sure, the only reason I give them 4/5 stars is the length of install compared to the original quote of two days maximum.

I had an AWESOME experience dealing with Garrett at Underground Diesel on my 2005 Ford F250.After several trips to Friendly Ford who was not able to diagnose the problem correctly and repair my truck for 2 months, I was highly recommended to go to Underground Diesel. Garrett took a great amount of time to test drive my vehicle and run the diagnostics several times therefore he could thoroughly diagnose the problem. He also checked to see if there were any minor repairs prior doing any major repairs to make sure he was not overcharging me by doing unnecessary repairs. Upon completing the repairs on my vehicle he test drove it and ran diagnostics again to reassure all issues were addressed. The cost of repairs was less than half of what Friendly Ford was charging me.Underground Diesel is an extremely busy company but I made an appointment for the repairs knowing they would be able to work on it that day and I was able to pick it up the next day! My truck is now running like brand new. I really appreciate their expertise and hard work; he really went above and beyond. I highly recommend them to anyone needing diesel repairs. YOU ARE MY #1 DIESEL MECHANIC AND MY LIFESAVER! :)

My truck broke down and heard good things about Underground Diesel. I spoke with Mike down there who answered all of my questions I had about my older Duramax. He was very professional and honest w me. He understood my situation and got my truck fixed very quickly and back on the road. I went to Under Ground Diesel to have my 2008 Chev Diesel tuned. I was completely ripped off by this company. First my truck was in this shop for more than two weeks for a simple tuner. After several calls I was told it would be ready in two days, to my surprise I saw my truck driving down the streets of Las Vegas the very next day. When I called I was told it was out for a test drive. When I went to pick it up the crew was in a hurry to install the system. When I got the truck back it had an additional 150 miles on it smelled like someone had been smoking in it and they were obviously using to run parts on my fuel bill… DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!! CROOKS!!!!!

Had my 2006 f-250 bullet proofed 2 mo. Ago 6500 hundred first trip engine light took back said bad sensor 200 hundred drove 22 miles engine light again same problem.had truck for 3 weeks got back yesterday went to lake on the way home engine light again same code! Help! just want my truck right to much to ask?

Brought my f250 in to get some maintenance. Tranny fluid change, radiator fluid change and fuel filter change. The fuel filter was the one piece. So the top is attached to the filter. When I got home I looked under the hood and the top on the fuel filter was all dusty. Dont know how all the dust would be on there if it was just replaced. I called and they insisted they replaced. Hopefully the other services were done. Who knows. They seemed nice enough. But I cant be sure anything was done.

Is there any good reason that someone would charge to put OEM parts on a vehicle and then put lesser quality/cheaper parts into the vehicle? I do not believe there is....

Over the last few weeks I have called these guys 10+ times to ask about the EFi Live option for my 2008 6.7 Cummins. They have answered all of my questions from should I do a turbo back or just down pipe and race pipe or do I need to buy a delete kit? or how about what power is safe? These guys have been great and always answer any questions I had. At one point I thought to myself DAM I AM ANNOYING but their customer service made me feel like I could ask any question even the stupid ones. Good job Underground! My truck is getting tuned on Wednesday and I cannot wait!!

The worst, and I would give them less than 1 star if possible. Kept my truck for 3 full months to fix a couple of oil leaks that started when they installed my motor. Told me issues were minor at first, then claimed my trucks new motor was bad when it had been running fine previously.When I went to pick it up, one of my tires was destroyed from some type of impact. it was so bad, I thought they had switched out my tire for one from another truck. Turns out it was probably my tire, but had been destroyed by impact. Thus, these idiots must have been joy riding and beating the hell out of it. I even found Newly Tofts UDP credit card in my truck. How long do you have to use someones vehicle to lose a credit card in there? What exactly was he buying when he lost that card, fast food or something?And, of course, after picking it up it still leaked oil from every place they claimed to have fixed. I would never, ever trust these guys with anything again. Do not take your truck there, they will keep it forever and do crappy work.

If I could put a negative rating, I would. I went to these guys in January for a head gasket job on my Duramax. They asked for a parts deposit up front for $1200. Turns out I also had a cracked piston too. They quoted nearly $15,000 to rebuild my motor and do head gaskets. I told them never mind on the work, Ill come get the truck. They quoted me to do a compression test for $300 and I said ok. No invoice, no work order. I called to get an answer for when I could pick up my truck and they never returned my phone call. I went down there with a tow truck and got my truck and asked for my money back. They said they would have to talk to the owner and get back to me. No answer. Two weeks later I went back and asked for my money back and got the same answer. So I put in a dispute with the credit card company. They refunded the money but Underground Diesel said I okayed a work order and used a form I signed for the head gasket job to forge a work order for a compression test at $450. I disputed that charge and had a compression test done at another shop. GUESS WHAT!!! The results they gave to the credit card company of the compression test and the results of the one I just had done DONT MATCH! So.......USE AT YOUR OWN PERILL!!!

Brought this company my truck a while back. I had them install an AirDog and put head studs in. They were ridiculously expensive, had the truck for 2 months. They never answered the phone for inquiries. Upon picking up the truck the fuel tank was empty. I dropped it off with 3/4 tank. When I drove to the fuel station around the corner I pumped fuel all over the ground because they didnt reconnect the fill line to the tank. They also put the AirDog outside and below the frame rail. I guess they dont understand 4x4s actually drive off-road. I had to have the dealer re-adjust the valves due to engine noise and clatter that wasnt there before. Less than a year later I noticed the fuel tank leaking. I brought it back to them hoping they would warranty the work. They gave me crap about it but ended up doing it. The fuel tank started leaking again and its been about a year. I brought it to another shop and it turns out they performed the original AirDog install wrong, and broke my fuel sender. Instead of replacing the fuel sending unit they used JB weld to glue it back together. Cost me more again to have it fixed correctly. Terrible place

I am a snowbird pulling a 35ft 5er with a 2006 Chevy 3500 Duramax. Pulling onto the interstate heard a loud pop, belching black smoke and loss of power. Made it to Vegas and dropped into Underground Diesel Performance Monday morning. The fellow up front was helpful and suggested it may be turbo boots but couldnt be sure without looking. He booked me in first thing next morning, had it diagnosed and repaired by 11:00. It was the Turbo - Intercooler boot that had blown off. They cleaned off years of caked on oil and crud, replaced a clamp or two and only charged me 1 hour labor.$89.00. I got an oil change while there and couldnt be happier.

1020 miles away from home or anyone we could depend on, our truck took a turn for the worst. With all three kids in tow there was no way we could afford not to have our vehicle. We made calls to some local shops (south east Tennessee) we were at a loss. It would be days to get the part, an arm and a leg for labor, not to mention finding a shop at a reasonable price who knew a thing or two about diesles. So I started my search online, I found underground diesel performance on Facebook and sent Newly Tolf a message. I explained our situation, knowing that they were based out of Nevada, I didnt know what to expect. Within minutes I had a response, we exchanged messages for a minute, he found the part we needed for a fraction of the cost others had quoted. I was then directed to talk to his technician, Mike, who gathered our information and answered all questions we had. UDP shipped the part across country to us and even walked us through the instillation. Our whole experience was great having it shipped to us, the customer care, the quickness, the price, everything! Will definently be making a special trip for all of their performance goodies! Thank yall so much!

I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with their service. They had my truck for ONE MONTH(exactly 4 weeks). I placed at the very least 30 calls to their shop, over the 4 week period, just to try and get updates since they had it so long. Probably only 4 or 5 of my calls were answered during the entire 4 week period, and I NEVER received a return call from them, even after having left messages. I had to get lucky and call at the right time for them to answer. The problem ended up being the fuel pump, and a fuel relay module. We discussed putting an after market upgraded Air Dog system on it which they highly recommended. So I agreed to it. The one call I did get was to come pick it up. Cost was roughly $1,000. Their website advertises $89 an hour shop rate, I was charged $95 an hour. Before I got the truck home, I could smell diesel as I was driving down the road. I stopped and opened the hood to see diesel fuel all over the engine compartment. I called them immediately and of course got no answer. When I got home I took a closer look and found that the old line that they supposedly capped was leaking diesel everywhere because they stuck a bolt in it with a hose clamp(didnt work guys). Im not even sure why there would still be any pressure on that line, they told me it was bypassed. Additionally they mounted the Air Dog system on the frame where it actually hangs down below everything else. I asked about that, and said that I thought it was going to be a problem(for clearance). The response I got was, do you go four wheeling a lot?. In my 4 wheel drive truck??? Yes I do, thats precisely why I bought a 4 wheel drive. I will find a better spot to mount it myself. I dont have another month to wait without my truck. Also, the Air Dog system they installed is so loud, I can actually hear the pump while Im in the cab, over my Cummings diesel motor while its running. I think everyone knows how loud a Cummings is. Its even louder and more noticeable when youre standing outside next to the truck. I realize UDP doesnt make the pumps, but they might want to consider a better location for mounting it, if its that loud. The only good thing that did happen, is that they sent a tow truck to pick up my truck free of charge. Ive had complete transmission rebuilds, and engine replacements done in a fraction of the time, with better quality of work. I had heard they do quality work at UDP, but I cant even agree with that. In my opinion they did a poor job on the Air Dog installation. I WONT BE BACK. It was an OVERALL POOR EXPERIENCE.

Well, since they have the reputation of being the premier light-duty diesel shop in town, I will leave final feedback if I can ever get my wifes F-350 done. Today is Feb 23, I dropped it off for engine diagnosis and troubleshooting due to known EGR cooler failure. Wouldnt be soo bad, but i towed it in on Jan 15th. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since they confirmed what we already knew from the Ford dealer, and i still dont have a price to get it fixed. Mildly disappointed.Mar 5, picked up truck at business owners request. Got our quote 6 business days ago, funds available last night. Owner threatened storage fees if I didnt remove it. Kudos that they didnt charge for diagnosis.

Ok Truck went to limp, During heat wave, June 26 - 30, 115 plus. Made it to vegas, chevy Dealers woudnt look at it. rebuild title. NOW what, Seached online, Found underground Diesel. Was at their door, Monday when they opened,, Keep in mind they are a busy shop.. have appointments to keep. bein 2000 miles from home.HOT HOT. Mike the Manager, Sqeezed me in. got a tech on it. Ecm issue maybe, ohmed all the wires in harness, P2138 code. reflashed ecm with altered tune. to get me home. A true Race shop. Thats what they are about , and excellent at what they do.. Got me home. So you RV Haulers, Hot Shots,, Put em in your book.

These damn people suck!! They had my truck 9 months and it came home with more problems than it had ever had!! My husband is a HORSE-SHOER NOT A MECHANIC and fixed the problem THAT THEY MESSED UP AND COULD NOT FIX within 1 hr with little it of you-tube and google!! HOLY CRAP MAN!!.......HOW HARD IT IS TOO HOOK THE WIRING HARNESS UP CORRECT!! .......These are certified diesel mechanics and cant even do there job correctly. Not to mention they kept my truck for 9 MONTHS and $4000 later and NOTHING got put back TOGETHER RIGHT and half the things they said THEY DID is NOT anywhere listed on my receipts. WHICH THEY PROBABLY NEVER DID!!! I OR MY FAMILY WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE/AND WILL TALK ANYONE OUT OF GOING THERE.... NOR GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS!!

These guys are great!They went above and beyond any company I have ever dealt with to help me out. They contacted me after hours and set up an appointment for the next day.I had some complications with my ECM (Duramax LBZ) and Mike was able to reprogram it better than new and saved my family holiday.One of their techs even let us use his truck to flash the my ECM.These guys are really into what they do and and are quietly confident about it.Well worth the trip.Thanks again Mike.Darrell from Alberta

These guys are awesome! The first time I brought my truck in I got EFI live and the tunes were great, everything that was expected. Later on down the line I got my headstuds, headgaskets, FPR, EGR delete, and a bigger set of 5 tunes and man did they give me a smokin deal! They also got it done in a very timely fashion and havent had one problem since. I also got my stage 4 allison built here and they run a crazy cheap special of 3850 out the door (it only took them 2 days also!) My truck is so smooth now and at the same time has power that is consistent. No BS here with any of my service or the quality of the work done. Pretty soon I am looking forward to them putting a lift pump in and turning my duramax into a 12 second truck! I will always call these guys for parts and service and I would recommend any one to them. They are very confident in their word and take alot of pride in everything they do. I really cant thank these guys enough for what they have done for me!
